Awesome hole in the wall. I've been coming here for years. Nice clean seated quickly. Food made to order came out at different times but as always served nice and hot. Potstickers crispy and delicious. Rice of course enough for two meals. Less than 49 dollars for two meals appetizers and one drink. Staff packed up leftovers and bagged them for us.

    Crab Rangoon!!! Yum, Yum, YUM!!!

Had not been since right before COVID! Was pleased to see that they ~STILL GOT IT!!! Fantastic food, equally fantastic service & the entrees are plentiful! From the Chicken Satay & Crab meat Rangoons, to the Basil noodles with chicken, Pad Woodsen with Beef, Combination fried rice, & Panang noodle with crispy noodles! All Thai food at its Utmost Fresh & D-Freakn'licious!!!

05 Oct 2025 First time here. We don't usually do Thai food. Took the plunge today. Started with the potstickers, which were quite good. I think chicken and maybe pork filling, slightly fried served with soy sauce. I had the Pannang Noodles (fried noodles with curry sauce and I chose chicken). The husband had the Thai Light (supposedly not so spicy; had shrimp, sliced carrots, etc. He said it was a bit spicy). He ate it. Mine made my lips numb despite asking for just a '2' spice level. Ha, ha. It was still good. I should have taken the rest of the sauce to go. It would have been great over white rice tomorrow. Service was pretty good even though it started getting quite crowded about half an hour after we got there. We didn't get tea refills. Two servers on the floor. Also a healthy to-go business. Not a bad visit. Go there.

For over a decade this has been my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. It's always robust, flavorful, and spiced perfectly. The curry bowls are my favorite. Green Curry Noodle has been my go to from the beginning. Their appetizers are amazing, soups are unbeatable, and sauces next level. I can't express enough how lucky we are to have Thai Dee in this city. The prices are affordable for the portion size, the service is always amazing, and the food always delivers. They are BYOB so you can bring your own beer or wine in at no additional fee. Don't skip out on this hidden gem.

I've been coming here since I was about 16, and now at 42 I still make a point to stop by anytime I'm in town. It's just as good as I remember. No frills, great vibe, welcoming atmosphere, and consistently great service. The food is always amazing!

    Pork pad see ew. Superb.

TLDR: A hidden gem of a place that's apparently a quarter-century long staple for Thai food in San Antonio. Thai Dee is a nifty little spot with very attentive service and a unique atmosphere. It's nice when a restaurant is consistent, and this one's been so good that one of my dining companions has been coming here on and off for 20+ years! The three dishes tried were the pad woon sen, the pad kee mao, and the pad see eew. The woon sen is a little on the dry side, understandable as it's got mung bean noodles in it. The flat rice noodles in the other two dishes were excellent, and the kee mao had a zippy amount of spice in it! There are two items to keep in mind: 1) This restaurant is all hard surfaces, so it gets LOUD in here. 2) Parking is limited to around five spots and it's shared with a convenience store that *will* tow you, so check where you park! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

    Pad See Ewe

Hole in the wall. You know how it goes. Those are usually IT. Ok. The vibe is immaculate. The decor and layout is comfortable and modern. Let me tell you right now I had one of the most flavorful Thai dishes here. I hate that I don't live in San Antonio to eat this on the regular but trust, I will be back. Juicy strips of meat, generous servings, hot and so fresh, perfect. 10/10 5 stars. A MUST MUST TRY. WOAH

    Pad Woonsen

This place is a hidden gem! They have a great lunch special of a main entree and 2 vegetable eggrolls for $14!!! The staff were kind and attentive and the food was so wonderful. Definitely will be returning!

Vegetable fried rice Delicious!!! All veggies are made fresh!!!

I highly recommend Thai Dee! The menu features mouthwatering Thai fried rice with flavors and generous portions. The atmosphere is both pleasant and comfortable, making it a great spot for gathering with friends or family. A truly delightful dining experience from start to finish!

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.
