Okay -- not sure what all the hype is. I've eaten at many Thai places. Most notably in Thailand. This is in relation to the Panang Curry. Panang curry, typically a red chile based curry, but interestingly based on a green chile base at this location, has peanuts and kaffir lime to bring out its unique place in the Thai curry rainbow of colors. Grassy and made with fresh vegetables, the curry lacked the necessary umami flavor that comes from a hint of nam pla and chicken bone stock. There were no peanuts or kaffir slivers to be found. So, all that was left was a light essence that didn't sing with any subtleties to compensate. Green curry paste, chiles, galangal, and a dash of coconut milk (and not even cream!) do not a 5 star curry make. Support your local businesses, but this was not memorable and I wish I didn't have my hopes up so high so I would have been okay with it being just okay. read more

The best Fried rice shrimp on the island, I literally went to every place. SOOOO good. Also, the green shrimp curry is on point, and best price on the island. The side of rice is only 1$ and is good rice. Can't beat that. For the above reasons, this is my favorite Thai place to go to. 5 stars. Went to thai me up very nice people quick to get your food as well! Just lacked depth of flavor for me personally. I got papaya salad curry and pad Thai everything was good just missing something not much spice not much flavor. But worth the stop if craving Thai. I give it another shot! Seriously the best food truck I've ever been to. I'm not a fan of Thai food but I tried a sample they offered of drunken noodles and I was hooked! Just wow! Came back with friends two days later and they had a sample of the lemongrass fried chicken. Let me tell you I don't like thigh meat but holy smokes! My friends ate all but one piece before could get to it. And the service is spot on. Funny and super nice. read more

Ok so for the people that are only seeing that only 7 people gave a review I'll let you know that there are lots of people that eat here. Food here is awesome! My favorite things to eat are shrimp pad Thai, side papaya salad, chicken Sate, and Cashew Chicken. Curries are good too. My wife and I were really hungry. We woke up early to watch the sunrise at Haleakalā and did some hiking (about 7 miles), very nice by the way. Anyways, we were really hungry. This was one of the nearest places Siri recommended. The food is really good. I don't quite remember the name of the plates, but one was lemon grass fried chicken and some chicken with peanuts and veggies. I had the peanut chicken and my wife the lemongrass. Both were delicious. The fried chicken was amazing and delicious with the sauce that comes with it. The peanut chicken was delicious as well. I ate my plate and little bit less that half of my wife's plate. The portion since is good, I just had a very big appetite. Good place to hit up if you're in that side of town read more

When they 1st opened they're food was so good and fresh. The papaya salad was delicious! Now they serve it with lettuce which I requested no lettuce. The girl told me that their new policy doesn't allow that. The next several times it seems the quality and quantity has declined. This last visit my order took 25 minutes! The girl at the window told people their orders would take 15 minutes. I only ordered 2 things. People who ordered after me were served 1st. Not sure, but I think I got the haole treatment. So I guess I won't be ordering from them any more. read more

this place is a winner for sure! we ordered the drunken noodles as well as the fried chicken and were absolutely entranced in both meals. the noodles had a nice but not too overwhelming spice level and came out piping hot. the fried chicken was crunchy, sweet, and the sauce was to die for. it also came with papaya salad and rice which were lovely additions of lightness between bites of chicken. the only thing that i wished for was a rice dish on the menu, but if i have to settle for drunken noodles i guess thaso bad. couldn't recommend this place enough! came back 2 days later for pad thai - arguably the best pad thai i've ever had. will miss this maui gem! read more

This is one of the BEST food trucks on the island... easily. No wonder their trucks always have the most customers lined up- whether it's the one near Costco or the new one up in Kula across from Longs. Friendly staff, clean looking kitchens, very reasonable prices...and DELICIOUS Thai food. We're stuck on their Pad Thai Chicken plate which is piled high with hot noodles, sweet Thai spices, crushed peanuts and a generous amount of sizzling chicken. It's a meal for two! Tried the Garlic Chicken last night and couldn't get over how wonderful it was. Crunchy wings and drumsticks wok fried with sweet and spicy Thai chili sauce. Such a treat. And we always go for the sweet Thai iced coffees. It's iced cold and delicious. You can't find better Thai food in Maui... these guys really know what they're doing! read more

Thai Mee Up, without a doubt has the best Thai food on Maui!! Everything I've tried on the menu there has been absolutely amazing!! The dishes are made to order and come out quickly and are hot and fresh and their customer service is excellent!! My 2 favorite items are the Shrimp Green Curry and the Salmon special, but it's all great! Made to order great fresh Thai food. Had chicken satay with jasmine rice and green salad and green curry shrimp bowl served over jasmine rice. Nice portions. Veggies nicely cooked and good variety. Shrimp perfectly cooked. Green curry sauce was fresh with flavors of lemon grass, ginger and Kaffir lime leaves. Chicken satay was tender and flavorful. Peanut sauce had great complex flavors.
