    Chicken Khao Soi

Hidden gem near Dundas Square! Came with a group of 10 - I think we surprised our waitor with our large group but we were quickly seated. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. I ordered the chicken khao soi and it was delicious. I just found that their prices have gone up since my first year of university... it's not as cheap. But it's still the go-to spot to go with friends. Cute decor and low lighting. Very thankful, the owner let us stay until 11pm even though they close at 10:30pm.

I remember enjoying the CHICK PAD Thai a bit more in the past. They have a nice spot on Yonge (upstairs). But the place needs some help with lighting, design (lot of junk on tables, etc). And there is a musty smell (old building...?)

I wouldn't know about the food because I never received it. I ordered delivery to the hotel next door and then tracked the delivery. After the app indicated that the meal had been delivered, I called the restaurant, told them that I hadn't received anything and was told by the owner that delivery indication on the app just means that the meal was picked up and that it was on the way. That seemed like BS but I gave him him the benefit of the doubt. The next day I went the talk to the owner f2f and after a long and unpleasant conversation with the owner that now claimed to not even be capable of e-commerce, I left. Everything I touched on the way in and out was sticky, so maybe I dodged a bullet. Either way, stay away! The pick-up guy who supposedly delivered my food was Ramees.

This places was really good, especially if you are on a budget to get good food for a fair cost! It's not pricey at all. I think the service was ok, but yo be fair it was busy since it was a holiday and they were short staffed. The ambience was quaint and it's cozy id recommend going in the fall.

This place advertises itself as Thai food by Thai chefs, and the food is legit. You even get the spice tray (fish sauce, sugar, chili flakes, chili sauce etc) so you can season your food to taste. The fish cakes were decent - bouncy enough and tasty. Thai boat noodles (pork) were great. The soup was rich with a subtle herbal note. The pork balls were bouncy, and their irregular shape indicated they were hand made. The sliced pork belly was a little dry, but overall the dish was still good.

At a corner up a flight of stairs you can hear Thai music playing as you walk up. Authentic vibes and great food. The portions of the dishes were smaller than I expected but it's fine for lunch. We ordered the pad see ew, green mango salad, and red beef curry. All were delicious. The service was friendly but more on the casual side. They accepts credit cards as well

grabbed some take from here and it was pretty good. tom yum soup +shrimp 2/5 this soup i found too sweet. almost like drinking sugar water w.a splash of vinegar. the added lemongrass gave it an aromatic boost though. available w.chicken, beef, shrimp or veggie. pad thai +chicken 3/5 found this dish to be too dry. the noodles clumped up and stuck together. flavours were good, but i would add extra eggs because there was barely any. you can get this w.beef, chicken, veggie or shrimp. beef pad see ew - wide flat rice noodle stir fry w.beef 5/5 this was our favourite dish! flavours were on point and it tasted so delicious! i love the fresh basil leaves they used. steam rice w.basil beef stir fry & fried egg on top 4/5 this dish was really good too but not enough grpund beef/basil mix to go with the amount of rice they gave. we love the crispy fried egg! you can also get this w.ground pork or chicken. papaya salad 3/5 wish the portion was a tad bigger to share, but i guess it was made as an individual portion only. we might have ordered just the smaller size too. the fish sauce was way too fishy. ive had papaya salads before and i know theres fish sauce in it, but they added a fish extract or must have used a fish sauce brand thats reaaaly prominent in taste. quite refreshing. over experience and service was good, quick and the workers have ppe and covid safety protocols in place.

A hidden gem!! We found this restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a chance. I was a little worried when we walked in and we were the only ones there. We got our food pretty quickly and it was delicious!! I got the chicken pad Thai and it was some of the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back next time we're in town!

Pad Thai, chicken skewers with a delicious peanut sauce (along with some veggies in a sweet sauce).

Some of the tastiest pad thai in Toronto. We come to this sleepy, no frills place for dine in and take out. The service is always nice, and food is always prepared on time. It's a hidden gem in Toronto, and we come here often for a tasty Thai treat. My favourites are their street style pad thai, massaman curry, red curry, fresh rolls, and chicken skewers. Their curries especially have such beautiful flavours and vibrant colours. The chicken skewers come with a peanut dip and a side of cut veggies in a sweet sauce, which adds a lovely touch. Their starter salads are also really fresh and tasty. The soups, too, have a rich and fresh flavour. Definitely check this place out!

Authentic! The food was excellent. I had green curry and spring rolls and they were delicious. The service is great. You do have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant.

Rather than going to salad king, I decided to come here. You know, try something different. The restaurant is on the second floor, but it has visible signage and decor so you shouldn't miss it. My first impression when I stepped in was a large near-empty restaurant with outdated furniture and decor, and worst of all, no AC. It was really humid in here, and I was not being subtle about it. There was even a fruit fly buzzing around when I sat down. Shortly, however, I felt some AC coming our way, so the people managing the place must have heard my verbal complaints and did something about it I guess. Washrooms are also just as humid, and you can see a handful of fruit flies all over the place. It is quite disgusting for the most part, but I suppose if you were to take this as an authentic thai experience where you're dining in a restaurant in the middle of a humid tropical environment, then the flies might be normal? Try to be optimistic about it. There are only two people working outside of the kitchen. They might be the owners, but there's definitely not a lot of staff. We placed our orders, and then waited for 20-25 minutes before the food finally arrived. Another table that was there before us also waited awhile before they received their items. We had the Golden Chicken Curry along with Street Pad Thai. You can customize how spicy you want it, from 1-chili to 6-chilis. You could probably have more, but I didn't try. It was a long wait, so automatically I'm expecting the food to be that much better since they're taking that much more time to prepare it. And it was quite tasty. The size of the pad thai is not bad, and came with both shrimp and chicken. The curry also had a lot of flavour, and the texture was not too watery. Service here is generally very slow. They only have one lady taking orders, serving food, and taking the bill. You'd be better off just walking up to the front where the bar is because the guy is just standing around not doing much when no one's at the bar. I would recommend just calling in and ordering your food to go, and picking it up half an hour later.

I've had this place around twice and had the same experience for both. The atmosphere is more home-like compared to other Thai restaurants that I've been to. You get to pick your seat when you come in and they do offer a lunch special that comes with soup and a spring roll. I tried their pad thai and I thought it was alright, I do like that they put peanuts on the side as I do not eat it with food (in general). Service was pretty slow despite the amount of people there and also the time to prepare for food which was okay. It's a convenient place to try some real Thai food in the downtown area if near Eaton's centre.

The restaurant has a lot of smaller tables, making it feel cozy, and the service was super friendly. I ordered the dry boat noodles with egg noodles and they were so good. Her professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help truly made the evening possible. More than anything, I hoped the wait would be worthwhile for my friends, who were visiting for the first time.
