We used to get Thai pepper all the time and loved the place because the food was excellent, prices great and the fastest delivery anywhere. However, the owner let Covid kill 2 of the three mentioned. Still great food but they don't deliver (you have to use a service) and they jacked up prices (like everyone in all fairness). I came with my friend on Tuesday evening and got the yellow curry chicken dinner special. My friend got the garlic chicken dinner special. The yellow curry broth was very sweet and had a strong coconut milk flavor. It was creamy and dense- I couldn't finish it all in one sitting! There was a lot of chicken in the curry too. I asked for a level 4 spiciness and it wasn't spicy at all. There are red pepper flakes that sink to the bottom of curry so make sure you stir it before you eat it. The fried rice was tasty, it didn't have a lot of flavor so it was a good pairing with the curry. The egg roll was freshly fried too! My friend's garlic chicken was really tasty. It came on a bed of cabbage and the garlic sauce was savory, and slightly sweet. It was very good too! Right off the bat, minus 1 star for the awful parking. I must have drove around 4 times waiting for a parking spot. Ugh. My friend and I came here for a quick bite to eat for lunch. They have a really good lunch special that's around $7 a plate (no drink included). We both ordered the chicken pad thai lunch special which comes with a small side salad, wontons, and a choice of either steamed or fried rice. We also got an order of the egg rolls. This place is so good and very affordable. The best thing that stood out to me was that they had lunch specials on the weekends!!!! Most restaurants only have specials on weekdays. Although I wanted to try one of them, I decided I was craving for crab fried rice and it did not disappoint. I also thought the service was so fast, I literally waited for 5 min if anything and I was so surprised about that. I will definitely recommend this place and I can't wait to try their specials. Man, I cannot believe how yummy their Pad Thai is! I've had many renditions and after all these years I still keep craving theirs :) So saucy and has such a great flavor to it. Lime just enhances the savory goodness of this dish. The noodles are usually very fresh and not clumpy. They also don't skimp on the toppings which is amazing. I usually go for the tofu or shrimp as my protein which has never disappointed. I don't stray from my usual meal from here but everything else always looks and smells delicious. Food: 4 Orange Chicken: The chicken was super crispy, but the sauce was too acidic for me. Pad Thai with Shrimp: This was a really well-done version. I appreciate that they put the peanuts on the side so you can mix them in yourself. Take their spiciness level seriously! Crab Fried Rice: I liked the fried rice itself, but I wasn't a fan of the crab. I recommend ordering a different type of fried rice. This little hole in the wall was a great place to fulfill my urge for some noodles. I was craving the pad see ew, but ended up getting the lunch special pad thai. The combo included salad, fried wontons, scoop of rice (choice of white or fried), and the pad thai. I had asked for mild, but when I took in my first couple of scoops, it was a little spicier than I really wanted it. Spicy hasn't been treating me well lately. The flavor was good though, a bit sweet and a little saucy. The salad had a nice tangy dressing, yum yum! The fired wontons had a bit of something inside, but nothing that really gave it some flavor. But for the lunch special price, the meal was totally worth it, less than $7! Leave the plates at the tables, as they bus the tables after you leave. Definitely would come back to try more. I'm the pickiest with Thai food, but I think I just found my new go-to place. Since we are inundated with Thai options, it's going to take someplace special to make me want to give them 5 stars. Thai Pepper was it for me! I've known of them for a while but pushed them off for so long because the storefront and strip mall they're in is so unassuming, and though you can eat inside (under normal circumstances), it has more of a take-out vibe and I'm not a take-out person, but since I am currently forced to be, I decided to try them out! I first called to see if they deliver, which they do up to 3.5 miles, but I was over the threshold. The gentleman was helpful and suggested Grubhub as a delivery option to us, so we did just that! Within 40 minutes of placing my order with Grubhub it was at my front door. Our food was fresh and full of flavor. We ordered Pad See Ew, which had plenty of Chinese broccoli in it (you can choose regular broccoli instead), Spicy Eggplant (it is so hard to get a quality spicy eggplant dish), and egg rolls for an appetizer which came with the most delicious ginger honey dipping sauce. One thing that was nice about my Spicy Eggplant dish was that it came as a "dinner special," with shrimp fried rice, an egg roll and salad. My husband's Pad See Ew only had an a la carte option, but between the two of us sharing everything we had enough for leftovers the next day. read more

We recently opted to try this restaurant after our go-to place closed down due to Covid. We've ordered takeout now a couple of times and haven't been disappointed by any of the food items we've ordered. The service over the phone is so friendly. Our usual favorites are now the Pad Thai + Panang Curry. The quality of the food and ingredient have been great. We actually love the flavors over some of our previous places we usually order thai food from. They offer very generous portions and the takeout packaging is really well put together. We ate the following: 1) crab fried rice - a bit dry, but portion size was huge too 2) pad thai w/ tofu - spicy too, and portion size was big 3) shrimp soup - very sour and kinda spicy, acquired taste but you'll like it if you like tom yum soup. I went here twenty years ago when i was in high school with my friend that introduced me to thai food. It was great. Dont know if corona has effected it but came here recently and it wasnt what i remebered it to be. Its still good. But the spice level was higher before. And before they would do fried tofu when asked on the entrees. Food is still delicious and prices are still good. Service is friendly. Just the spice isnt what it was. I've youtubed and made a recipe that was more authentic than this, without the noodles broke down into mush. The cook must have made this blind folded. The chao mein really made me angry. Super friendly, fast, and yummy family-owned restaurant. I ordered the papaya salad, beef panang curry, pad thai, and shrimp tom yum soup. They let you pick the spiciness level here, so I opted for mild on all dishes (that's about a two on the scale lol!). The papaya salad was very yummy! The papaya itself was spot-on, and there were little dried shrimp to add texture and flavor. The only thing is that the dish was heavily doused in sauce, and the sauce itself was quite strong (sliiiightly too sweet for my taste). I really enjoyed the beef panang curry - the beef was really tender, and the curry was very deep, creamy, and flavorful. It pairs perfectly with the rice that the dish comes with. The pad thai was a bit too sweet for me, but it was still good! It would have been better with a little more lemon. (Next time, I'll probably order a different noodle dish.) Lastly, the "small" order of shrimp tom yum soup was quite large. It was really delicious and full of shrimp and mushrooms! Can't wait to go back here and try the other dishes. I always get the mint leaf chicken special with extra sauce and it is just as good as I remember! The staff is always so pleasant and courteous. Spicy eggplant dinner special $9.95 Chicken is too dry for my liking but they gave you lot of protein and eggplants were cooked to perfectly soft. Flavor is ok on this one. I went back and brought a friend to challenge some basic Thai dishes and this place had failed. Boat noodle soup $8.95 prolly the WORST version I ever had, the broth was too clear and too sweet. Also it's the very first time I had boat noodle soup using wide rice noodle. Green Curry $7.75 (chicken) meh, not creamy enough and we asked for mild but I guess they put too much pepper it's kind hot that's pretty much all you can taste. Thai Tea $1.95 ok to me but I rarely feel want Thai tea. My friend who always ordered Thai tea wherever she goes said its just ok. It's more of a take out restaurant w/ few tables and they do offer self served iced water on the table which is very nice. Call in your order for take out. They are very busy during dinner hours, usually I had to wait like 20 mins+ for my order. The owner is very sweet and he remembered who ordered what will bring out your order to you while you grab a table sit and wait. I do see why this place has 4 stars rating and price is very cheap for the area. However I think stick w their lunch/dinner special menu because those seem to be their specialities. (Also what most patron here ordered) I wouldn't mind come here for the Pad Thai and it's so close to my friends house but Pad Thai ONLY. $15 minimize to use credit card. read more

I'm so happy to have discovered "hole-in-the wall" thai pepper! The restaurant looks really ghetto inside and seating is smaller than Thai Gulf. My first impression was that it wasn't gonna be great, but I was proved wrong. The manager is a super friendly guy. If you're looking for authentic good homestyled cooking thai food then you definitely need to try Thai Pepper. Their motto is "small enough to know you, big enough to serve you." This restaurant doesn't have much dine-in eaters, but their phones are always ringin off the hook for to-go orders! Sometimes if you call in for a to go order you might be put on hold long enough that you'll end up getting to the restaurant before you can place your order haha. Here are some of the foods I've tried: Chicken Satay - 5/5 THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! The chicken satay here are huge and thick (ok that sounded wrong), but they're made from chicken breast I believe. They aren't those thin flat smashed ones that most restaurants will serve you. This is usually the main appetizer I judge thai restaurants on. I love that they don't make it too burnt either. The peanut sauce is good here, but I prefer Thai Princess's peanut sauce Pad Thai (chicken) -4/5 the lunch portion is same as the a la carte. Good meat to noodle ratio and the noodles were cooked perfectly. It wasn't all soggy and oily. Pad Kee Mow - 4/5 I had a big craving for this and thai pepper satisfied it. I believe I asked for a spicy level of 6, but it wasn't too spicy so I suggest you ask for about 8 or 7. This dish also had a good meat to noodle ratio Garlic Pepper Chicken - 5/5 They definitely don't skimp on the garlic here. You'll be fending off vampires for sure! Surprisingly this dish comes with potatoes & cabbage/lettuce. Most of the times it's just cabbage. This dish was very flavorful and somewhat a little more sweet than usual. nice chunks of chicken and they give a lot for the price (6.95) Chicken Chop Suey - Good variety of vegetables w/ this dish (cabbage, napa, carrot, celery, broccoli, bean sprouts). The sauce was paired well with the dish and again, very good amount of food. Thai Tea - 4.5/5 The thai tea here was good, but think it might be too sweet or something was missing. I prefer Thai Gulf's thai tea, but then again maybe cause it's free & unlimited haha. Overall, great and fast service. This is my go to place now for quality thai food close to home! read more

Took off one star because they seriously took forever to bring out my pad thai.. I didnt understand.. It was my first time ordering from Thai Pepper. I ordered pick up and it was ready and hot as I arrived. I loved the egg rolls. Best egg rolls I've had in years! They were really fresh and crispy. I also ordered the yellow curry with chicken. It was wonderful as well. There's lots of Thai take out to chooses from and Most are mediocre at best. Thai Pepper is a hidden gem.
