    Crab fried rice

Came here for lunch and got the Padthai with chicken and crab fried rice. Got hot and sour soup- more on the sweeter side and crab rangoons which was small and cute no dipping sauce tho. The Padthai had little chicken and very saucy and pretty sweet compared to the ones I've had at other places. The crab fried rice was pretty good! The staff was nice and attentive. Would I come back? Probably not since it seems like they make their dishes on the sweeter side.

I love coming here - solid food and solid pricing. Love how everything tasted, and prices are always reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. There's lots of tables, but it's always packed whenever I come in the evenings. Would be a fine spot for a casual dinner. Probably one of the best Thai places in KC. I also see a lot of people come in to pick up to go orders, so that's an option too. Would be more than happy to return here.

Still staying with my OG review, best Thai food in Kansas City!!! Seriously, the best, no matter what you order. Service is quick and efficient. Restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Food is not only amazing, but served super fast from the kitchen. Nothing but love for this place!!

First time having Thai food-my grown kids took me. It was really good. I don't like spicy so ordered my Pad Thai mild but now think I would have also enjoyed medium as it wasn't spicy at all. Restaurant is very clean and the wait staff were very quick & attentive. This little place is a jewel!

This is my new favorite Thai in Overland Park!! Drinks are reasonable (and strong). I ordered the Thai Sling and my fiancé ordered the Siam Ruby. The pad Thai is saucy, flavorful and a huge portion. The waitress recommended the spicy peanut garlic chicken (I can't remember the name) so we ordered that too. Again, huge portion and super flavorful! We ordered mild heat for both but felt like we could have handled spicier.

It's been many years since we have eaten here, but elated to report that this place still has its magic!! Ignore the people complaining about prices or decor. We brought a work lunch party of 8 in at Noon and got seated immediately. They have ample seating in two main dining rooms. Our drinks were brought within two minutes which is key! Our server explained everything for our members trying Thai food for the first time. Our apps and then entrees were brought out super fast, 5-10 mins and brought out as they were cooked so steaming hot! The Basil Wings app is crispy deliciousness,, do not skip them! The pineapple ginger rice Thai Hot was amazing. But the star of the show was the Phad Sea Ew and the fresh made wide thin noodles that hold all the heat! 6/8 of us ordered that with various proteins and heat levels and all of us were part of the clean plate club. You also get your choice of soup or house salad, the Hot & Sour soup was good...sweeter when compared to the Chinese version. The servers smartly ask you what heat level you would like, Mild is very tame, Medium is perfectly hot, Hot is a nice step up and Thai Hot is the ultimate step up! Be sure to ask for the sides of various chilis to really step your heat game up! I have to give props to various servers constantly filling our waters every few minutes due to the sweat pouring down our faces! A+++ service!! We are mixing this location into our regular lunch rotation, thanks for ab amazing meal!

Thai spots are now being compared to Lanna for me, which I feel is the absolute best Thai food other than Baramee downtown (as someone who lived in BKK) This restaurant has fallen off in recent years. The pad see ew was average, with little flavor other than "wok," not much sauce, and spongy tofu that seemed hastily added at the end with no chance to absorb flavor. Heavy on noodles, light on veggies also wasn't ideal. Medium spice amounted to red pepper flakes. Service felt simultaneously rushed but also slow to respond. No guest receipt offered at checkout.

Plenty of parking. Service was quick and helpful. They always ask your heat preference. We had the shrimp pad thai and the volcano soup. Each entree comes with soup or salad. Food is exquisite. Place is busy all the time. Clean with plenty of seaseating. Vast menu you won't be disappointed.

This is my favorite place! They are so kind and welcoming! My best friend and I enjoyed our joint bday lunch they gave us mango cheesecake it was delightful. My pad Thai had nice plump fresh shrimp and tender chicken. It's a nice place to enjoy and leisure lunch and bask in the ambience a feeling like you're in Thailand!

Solid Thai place not my favorite but definitely worth a try. They were clean, no reservation needed. Quick service too. The food was good and they give you lots, we had enough to take home left overs

Tucked away in a cute shopping district is Penny's! We had no idea what we were walking in to but I am so happy to have found it! As we were promptly seated in started hearing a "tink tink" sound and looked up. Yall!! The cutest glass hummingbirds were hanging from the ceiling. It was stunning!! Ok, the food!!! I had the crab fried rice which my husband had to help me finish because it was a huge amount! Share if you can but with the understanding you might fight over the last bite. "Premier" isn't marketing flair - it's accurate. This is, hands down, the best raw bar in Kansas City. We arrived for our 5:15 p.m. reservation in the main dining room and were warmly greeted by Allison, our server. She struck the perfect balance - friendly, engaging, and attentive throughout the meal. A great start to the evening. For two diners, we wanted to explore as much of the menu as possible. Before ordering food, we were told the signature Frozen Gin & Tonic was a must. It lived up to the reputation - bright, refreshing, and expertly balanced. The only thing that would have made it better was a slightly warmer dining room. We're big mussel fans, so we opened with the Bangs Island Mussels - and they set the bar high. A generous portion of plump mussels bathed in a white wine and roasted tomato broth that was deeply flavorful without being heavy. The toasted bread was perfect for soaking up every last bite. Simply outstanding. Next came the NOLA-Style Shrimp Gumbo. Served in a small bowl, but packed with richness and depth. Adding a touch of hot sauce brought just the right amount of heat and complexity. A standout dish. My wife - having happily overindulged in mussels and bread - opted for a lighter course: a single Maryland Crab Cake, available fried or broiled. It was almost all crab, clean and flavorful, with a satisfying crust. She couldn't finish it...so I did. When you go to a raw bar, oysters are non-negotiable. I ordered a half dozen featuring both East and West Coast varieties. Each one was pristine, briny, and fresh, and the horseradish had just the right bite. For my entrée, I chose the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp - four large prawns, each wrapped in crisp, smoky bacon. Simple, well-executed, and a strong finish to the savory courses. Dessert did not disappoint. My wife loved the Lemon Pistachio Chess Torte, while I devoured the Bourbon Apple Tart. She noted that the toasted meringue reminded her of marshmallows - a detail that made us smile. The dining room is intimate and can get noisy as it fills up. Next time, we'll likely try the patio for a different vibe. Pacing throughout the meal was spot-on, dishes came out promptly from the kitchen, and Allison's service tied everything together into a truly memorable evening. We'll definitely be back - and soon.
