Ate here last night while traveling through Albuquerque after checking reviews. The restaurant was steady the whole time we were there. My standards are high for Thai food. It's not the taste I'm use to. The papaya salad didn't have the lime taste I love and had lettuce instead of cabbage, cabbage gives it more crunch. My daughter had the chicken pad Thai and even though it was good, the chicken was bland. The fried banana was good but I should have asked without chocolate. Again, I always want authentic Thai food with the tastes that are familiar to me.

Solid Thai spot that seemed pretty busy on a weekday night. I ordered for pickup and it was super quick and easy. In a plaza with some other restaurants but there's a good amount of parking out front. It was a little difficult to find at first because it's right on the street but you have to drive in from behind and it's right next to a bunch of other parking lots that aren't connected Pad see ew with fried tofu: 5/5. Looked kind of scary at first because the noodles looked very dry but once I mixed it the sauce was really good and I actually liked it a lot. The fried tofu was also good Mango sticky rice: 4/5. Good flavor but way too much coconut milk

This place has best of burque awards all over the wall for a reason. This place is top notch Thai food. First of all it might also be the restaurant with the fastest service I've seen in town. I got my appetizer about 2 minutes after I ordered and my main dish about 5 minutes after I finished my spring rolls. They keep the drinks full. It is nice and clean inside but it gets full and the seating is a little cramped. I also love how at a Thai place when you ask for hot spices level they don't play around, the heat really kicks you in the balls. I appreciate that, the food is great don't let the corny shopping center location fool you.

I can't believe this weekend was my first time here! Thai Spice is a small restaurant with great food and fantastic ambiance. It was packed when I went in for lunch at 2pm on a Sunday, which is a testament to its delicious, high quality food. I absoluetly loved the chicken satay and pad thai. The cucumber salad and peanut sauce that came with the satay were both sooo tasty! My pad thai was perfect, I got the medium heat level and it was enough spice without smoking you out. I will definitely be back when I am hankering for Thai! I need to try the massaman curry next!

Solid spot for good Thai food! Our group of four ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them eating "family style." My favorite was the drunken noodles. Picked the shrimp for my protein. Second favorite dish was the chicken pad Thai. The chicken satay appetizer was also good. The Tom Yum soup was a favorite of some at the meal. We all agreed that the Panang Curry was our least favorite. I think it needed to cook longer. The sauce was watery and lacking flavor. Pineapple fried rice was also really good. Service was prompt and friendly and this is definitely a spot we would go back for.

Stopped by here for lunch with a friend and it was delicious! It got busy around lunch time but service was efficient. I'll definitely go back to try other dishes!

A news article framed on the wall of Thai Spice described the restaurant as reliable, and I have to agree. We split an app and ordered two different noodle dishes. Both entrees were solid, though the service was quite slow - even for a Saturday night. The wait for two around 5:30 was said to be 20 minutes, though I believe we were seated in about 15. The wait for our noodles, however, was at least 25 minutes...and the party of three seated after us received their food a good 5-10 minutes before we did. The restaurant was busy but did not appear under-staffed, so I'm not sure what caused the delay. For app, the fresh summer roll with chicken was tasty and well complemented by the house-made plum sauce. My only note is that it could've been rolled more tightly. For dinner, I liked my pad see ew with beef, and his chicken pad Thai was yummy though light on the veggies. Portions were very large, so we both brought home leftovers. Biggest complaint is on husband's behalf: The spicy isn't spicy. I'd read this in other Yelp reviews, but even after emphasizing that he wanted his pad Thai "very spicy," I was able to eat it...and I'm incredibly sensitive to heat. Hot is mild at best, so if spicy is a must for your Thai fix, Thai Spice isn't the establishment for you.

Thai Spice. Beautiful fish in their two relaxing aquariums.

With the menu board, it feels like fast food less sit down style. Service has changed as well. Now, you place your order and PAY at the counter and seat yourself. You are asked to tip before you receive service. tipping is supposed to be base on quality of service. You do receive table service once your food is ready. The menu has changed as well. We loved the jerky and sticky rice, now gone! Fish cakes is new but it was too chewy and dry with little flavor. Shrimp cocktail and dumplings were good. This was the only Thai restaurant in town that served good Thai rice noodle soup similar to pho. Sadly it's no longer the case. It was bland! Traditional beef soup included meatballs, now gone. They also charge ridiculous prices for some add-ons such as crushed peanuts $2.00 per order!! Really, for 2 ppl we could have bought a whole jar. Service ended up being good especially since we were the only patrons. I low balled the tip at time of order and ended up giving additional tip in cash. Sadly to say, it's off our list of favorite restaurant in town. Probably will not go back.

Best pad see eww / jungle noodles that I've had in New Mexico by a long shot. Absolutely loved it. The ingredients tasted so fresh , you could tell nothing was from a can or frozen. The sauce at the bottom was just to die for. Pineapple fried rice 10/10. This tied for first place, it's possibly the very best fried rice in New Mexico but it's just so close. What I loved is that they spared no expense on ingredient quality, they even used cashews rather than cheaper nuts like peanuts. Each veggie was cooked perfectly and they actually put tomato which I've never had in fried rice but man it was good! Believe it or not the pad Thai was only 5/10, not too bad; nothing to write home about. I was surprised about that since every other item blew my socks off. What might have been the worst part of the pad Thai was the regular chicken was dry and chalky. Most Thai places have thinner softer chicken they use, luckily for the other meals I had shrimp which was really good and fried chicken which was also really good I'd love to try more of their food,

Arguably the best in New Mexico. The Pad see eww was also the best I've had in New Mexico. Neither compared to big city Thai food, but they were close! The crab Rangoon was the best crab Rangoon I've had in a long time, in any city. The way they wrapped it was clever, you could taste the cream cheese filling as you bite, it was great. The money bags was fine, the sauce was too watery I think that came with it which made the flavor run off of it quickly. Huge star bonus for their to go containers not being cancer causing styrofoam. For the price, you would expect much higher quality food. However, when every dish cost $21 after tax, it is definitely not worth the price. Most of the dishes are dripping with oil. For example, some of the noodle and curry dishes are literally sitting in a tub of oil. The orange chicken uses frozen, perfectly cubed pieces of chicken. I wish they used the actual pieces of chicken, again as the price you pay does not attest to the quality. Red curry is ok but the flavor is very mild. Chicken satay is quite dry and needs all the sauce it can get. Sticky rice mango is a pitiful portion for the price. They even promote fraudulent advertising by showing a giant portion of sticky rice mango with an entire mango on their menu, however, the portion you get is less than half of one mango. It is extremely fraudulent/false advertising. Another issue overall is that the restaurant adds a 3% credit card surcharge. They have signs in the restaurant stating that the credit card companies are charging the customers this extra surcharge. This is again patently false. Credit card companies charge a surcharge to businesses who wish to accept credit cards. This is a normal cost of doing business, and this should definitely not be passed on to the customers as the prices at this restaurant are already at an all-time high. Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, apparently the restaurant charges this on debit cards as well, which is again, entirely fraudulent as debit cards do not charge any transactional fees. Lastly and probably the biggest issue is when they miss items in your order. For example, at the restaurant, I ordered a dessert along with my meal. At the end, it was discovered that the dessert never actually arrived, however, I was charged for it. The restaurant refunded the dessert, however, they only refunded the amount prior to the 3% credit card surcharge that they charged me. This means, the restaurant did not refund the extra 3% That they charged me originally for the dessert! They got to keep an extra 3% of money for intentionally messing up an order which again is fraudulent. This is something that will have to be filed with the FTC as who knows how many others they have scammed out of 3% in the past. Overall, I would highly suggest avoiding this restaurant due to the food quality being poor, the prices being quite high, the extra credit/debit card surcharges, and the fraudulent activity if the restaurant has to provide a refund.
