With juicy tomatoes, crunchy peanuts, and all the vibrant flavors, it was a mouthwatering delight. I also tried the chicken laab, which was delicious and had a genuinely authentic flavor. I've only been here once, but my girlfriend likes this place. We were seated pretty quickly and service was very attentive. Nice cute decor all over. My girlfriend loves massaman curry and she always enjoys it here. I had the Pad Sew-Ewe noodles and they tasted like any other average pad sew-ewe I've had in the past. My only gripe is the portion size was really small for what you're paying for. I felt like I was literally waiting on my girlfriend to finish eating for more than half the time we were sat there because I was done eating that fast. For me its a 3.5 rounded up to 4. I decided on the peanut curry with mild spice level (I can be a weenie) and chicken. My husband can be picky when it comes to his drink and if it is filled frequently. No issues there. His drink was kept full. My Thai tea was creamy without being too sweet or bitter (perfect IMO). The peanut curry was very flavorful. Serving size was typical NM...big! Had an amazing time eating here. Food was flavorful and colorful (I.e., greens, meat, and spices). Pad See Ew was so good, however I wished that it had more noodles on the plate. Tom Yum was good, so much seafood meats inside. I had about 6-7 shrimps, 6 mussels, and an abundant amount of mushrooms. I will say although the Tom Yum was flavorful, it was too salty for me. Sadly I also wanted it in the Tom Yum aluminum pot. Things I wish were readily available include having spices and chili on the table. This way I could add more to my soup as I pleased. Over all service was amazing with staff being fast to service and delivering every interaction with consistent smiling. read more

Thai Kitchen has become our go-to spot, and we eat here at least once a week, sometimes twice. The Pad Thai is easily the best we've had. It's packed with flavor, always cooked perfectly, and consistently delicious every time. My girlfriend gets hers with no spice, and I get medium spice, and both are always excellent. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the chicken and beef are cooked perfectly. What really keeps us coming back is the service. The main lady who I believe is the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming and always makes us feel appreciated. She remembers our names, asks how we're doing, and genuinely cares about her customers. The food comes out quickly, the quality is always consistent, and the overall experience is outstanding. On Saturday's they only do the dinner menu at lunch. I had to order a huge bowl of rice soup with tofu, instead of the little one that normally comes with lunch. My daughter enjoyed her Tom kha soup with tofu. I also had an order of low mein noodles with veggies, and mild sauce. It was good as ever with lots of broccoli and carrots. Our service was great and we got our ice tea refilled. I really like the convenience of this place on Alameda where I travel often and parking is plentiful. read more

Family ate here recently on a saturday night after craving Thai food. They were pretty busy & packed. We weren't greeted up front for about 5 minutes. Finally the hostess/owner? came by & asked if we put our name on the waiting list clipboard on the bar counter yet (wasn't aware that there was a list to put our names to when walking in). We put our names on the list & were seated about 10 minutes later. The place is nicely decorated with a Thai rickshaw in the center of the restaurant and a cool Thai door along the back wall. The place was packed, busy, and had a cool energetic vibe. Our waiter came to our table quickly & took our drink orders. We ordered the chicken satay, chicken pad thai, chicken tom kah soup, chicken pad see-ewe, and beef thai fried rice. All the dishes were good - tasted like we were used to when eating at Thai restaurants in the major cities that we've lived in. The pad see-ewe is usually my favorite dish. Here, it was good and almost tasted like what I was used to but I felt it could have used a little more of the sauce & a lil stronger flavor. It was close to what I've had in the past. The service was great throughout except at the very end of the meal near closing time when they checked up on us a little less frequently & were late in getting our drinks refilled - but they apologized after seeing our empty cups & topped us off. I'm a huge fan of bold, spicy and zesty dishes, Thai Kitchen has it all! The food was authentic and delicious! We started off with some shrimp spring rolls and peanut sauce and for our entree, my wife ordered the combination fried rice with chicken, beef and pork, and I had the green curry with medium plus spice, which was delicious but right to the point of being a little too spicy however, it was very enjoyable. The service was great with lots of recommendations from the waiter, and also some of the patrons who gave us their opinions on their favorite dishes as we waited to be seated. We had the most delicious food here last night. We ordered the fried dumplings, which were just outrageous. The dumpling part was crispy and had a delicious dipping sauce. My husband had the salmon and I'm not a salmon fan and I loved it so you can't imagine how much he did. The sauce on his salmon was just out of this world. I tried something different, a peanut curry, and it was off the charts. I had shrimp and they were just cooked perfectly. It was very quiet as it was black Friday, but they did a ton of takeout orders while we were there. We've eaten here before, ants now are even more impressed. The heat level was exactly what I asked for and it could even have gone a little hotter, so I used to the little carousel to add some more red chilies. Give us place a try. I've been to this strip mall area for many times now but never had time to try the food at Thai Kitchen until very recently. I happened to be in the area in mid afternoon and was hungry for last minute lunch around 20 min before 3pm...so I stopped by Thai Kitchen. I got a Pad See Ew (with tofu) and an iced tea. I think they were short staffed, so please be kind and patient with them (order and pay at a counter as you walk in and find a place to sit!). The food tasted great! I'm Thai and usually don't really go for Pad See Ew (I just typically don't prefer wide rice noodles rish). However, this time, I was in for a pleasant surprise and it really hit the spot for me! I cleaned the plate...and nothing was left! The Thai iced tea was so great, too! I guess I had been missing Thai dishes so much! P.S. I was slightly disappointed that in the menu, they said the lunch specials ran until 3pm...but...when I got to the restaurant 20 min before 3pm..they said they no longer offered lunch specials, so it would just be a dinner price. Fine..higher price..but I wished they could still honor it. Otherwise..food tasted great and the staff was actually nice! read more

Seems like he's having some difficulties staying focused, NEVER once checked on me and acted confused when I asked him where my appetizer was. My entree was already on the table. I really don't need to know you don't have your servers license, just need my beer. I felt like a hostage waiting on my check. Asked not only my waiter but the person delivering my food.Things need to change or this restaurant is not going to survive. Thai Kitchen is an unassuming Thai restaurant in Rio Rancho in the Corrales Shopping Center on Corrales Road and Alameda Blvd NW. It's between Interstate All Battery Center and the Dollar Tree across from Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza. There's a large free parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue. The entry into the restaurant doesn't have any steps, so patrons in wheelchairs or with mobility issues won't encounter any barriers. There's both table and booth seating. We ordered one of the current appetizer specials, which was the mango summer roll. It was a Thai spring roll with mango instead of the protein. It came with a sweet chili sauce and the roll overall was light and refreshing on a hot summer day. It was a nice alternative to deep fried appetizers. We each had the pineapple fried rice with tofu, medium spice. The onions were cooked but still firm and crunchy, the pineapple was fresh, and there was a nice pile of cilantro on top. The dish additionally had tomatoes, cashews, and green onion. It was flavorful and the spice was complimentary instead of overpowering. The rice wasn't greasy at all - it was just cooked well. The service was attentive and the food came quickly. I'm interested in trying more entrees at Thai Kitchen and would recommend it. read more

My family and I are frequent visitors to your restaurant but our take out order last week end has made us change our minds now. Not only was the bill pretty high but the food was not what we were expecting it to be . The pad se ew was very dry and lumpy, the peanut nut curry didn't come with any vegetables that I had ordered just the tofu I had asked to be included and I didn't get the brown rice I had ordered to go with the curry . Instead I got white rice. Altogether it was a disappointing and expensive dinner for us. We will be thinking twice now before we visit your restaurant again . Sorry! read more

Thai Kitchen sits at the south end of Corrales. My co-worker and I walked in at 12:30 PM and three people stood in front of us inside the restaurant. The owner put us all on a waiting list. Fifteen minutes later we were seated. Inside, the place looked clean, well lit, and busy. This restaurant is only open from 11 AM till 3 PM on weekdays and closed on weekends due to staffing issues. The owner told us no one wants to work. I ordered the "hot" pumpkin red curry with pork ($13.50) and my co-worker asked for the Pad Kee Mow with shrimp ($12.45). Our dishes were delivered within seven minutes! Prompt service for sure. My "hot" curry turned out to be medium on the heat scale, but the soft pumpkin tasted delicious mixed with the rice, pork, and vegetables. They definitely give you a generous portion of pork. The dish presentation looked wonderful with all the colors and flower cut carrot (see attached photograph). My co-worker loved his meal as well and we left satiated and happy.
