During my freshman year, I had the luck of living with someone who worked here. I was exposed to the joy that is Thai food - dynamite wings, fried wontons, and PAD THAI. I was surprised that this was a To-Go Thai place. I expected it to be restaurant style but I was proven wrong. I got the pad thai. It tasted pretty good for a hungry person but presentation wise, it was just noodle in a to-go box. Not something you would want to take a picture and share with your friends on social media, but definitely something worth devouring if you were hungry like me. I only get the pad Thai or pad see ewe here. I only come when there's a coupon because it's pretty cheap and will fill me + 1 or 2 more people up. (Coupon is usually buy one and a drink get one free, so like 10ish$ total). Compared to actual Thai restaurants I've been too, I would say the only difference is in the ingredients. The flavors and stuff are fine (I usually pair it with a side of rice from home, so it's flavorful enough to do that), but the ingredients they use (ex shrimp, corn, carrots, etc) seems like it just comes out of the can :/ it's like the only "real" ingredient is the bran sprouts lol. I was introduced to Pad Thai by Thai Spice when they had a little place on Edinger in Anaheim back in the 80s. They were called something else at the time. I've moved around the country a bit since then and have always compared any new Thai restaurant to theirs for the Pad Thai. There's no comparison. The others are different, good, ok, or meh, but Thai Spice is the best. I was back in the area after 17 years and it's still the best. I wish there was anything close to this in Muskogee, OK. This isn't a fancy place, but the food is delicious and prices beyond reasonable. Try the Thai Iced Tea. It's not too sweet and you can taste the tea. But with the knowledge that there's SO MUCH BETTER Thai food around here now keeps me away. I usually just stick with the pad thai here. I mean it's not BAD but it's not good. Or if I'm feeling especially lazy, I get the classic white rice and orange chicken. Sometimes you just want quick Asian food. One thing that REALLY bothers me here is the fact that they still use plastic utensils and plates and such. Quite annoying and makes the whole place scream CHEAP. They do give you huge portions but everything just tastes overly sauced. "Spicy" just means the level of spice but no real texture or depth to the taste. I really would avoid it. It isn't Thai food.
