I'd been here decades ago for an after-work drink. It wasn't memorable. At first glance, it's just a dark bar on the first floor. One of the kids actually asked, "Are we allowed in here?" I saw a few other kids already inside so we decided to go for it. After a lukewarm reception from the bartender, who just waved us toward the back of the room to "order food over there," we found the menu and ordered lunch directly with the cooks in the kitchen. They were friendly enough and got our order exactly right. I'm not a fan of having to order twice and pay separately for food and drinks, but that's how they do it here. Up, up to the third floor we went, where we finally found a table big enough to seat all five of us. You can't say there's not a lot to look at here. Very kitschy, but also kind of junky, dusty and sticky. One kid enjoyed a free game of pinball while we waited...and waited...for our name to be called to pick up our food from the kitchen two floors down. Service would be nice, but not a thing here. I have to say, the burgers were huge and very tasty, as were the abundant curly fries and the onion rings. And we got free refills on the sodas (which, of course, we had to go downstairs to get ourselves). Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars but round up for generous portions of tasty grub.

After 20 or so minutes we ordered an appetizer which was delivered to another table who took it even though they said it wasn't there's, then after asking again where our appetizer was, it was again brought out to the table behind us who said that it was ours. The calamari was cold and over salted. We repeatedly had to ask for water which was never refilled. We ordered dinner and after 45 minutes and two tables who arrived after us receive their meals, our waitress came to ask my husband what he wanted on his hamburger to which he replied that he did not order a hamburger (he ordered the short rib bourguignon and I ordered the sole) and he asked where our dinner was. The waitress left, walked inside and sat down. We waited another 15 or so minutes and got up to go inside and ask where our meal was again. We were told they'd let us know in a few minutes. I have to add here that I am a Type 1 Diabetic, insulin dependent for 50 years. I had given myself my insulin for our entire meal after we received our appetizer thinking I would have timed it well to get our dinner within 20 or so minutes after getting and finishing the appetizer. Needless to say after waiting almost an hour my blood sugar started to drop and I knew I'd be in big trouble if we didn't get food soon. When we made the decision to leave the waitress told us they were busy (they were at about 20% occupancy) and they were serving reservations first (remember we had reservations? ) and that was why we were not getting our dinner. We asked for the bill to pay for what was served to us and the manager asked that our bill reflect a 50% discount after we spoke to her. The waitress brought us a bill with no discount, she said nothing to us and walked away. At this point we needed to leave immediately before I was in a severe hypoglycemia situation. A romantic date night out turned into one of the worst dinning experiences we've ever had! Strongly do not recommend to anybody and definitely not to my fellow T1D's, especially if you don't want to eat all your emergency snacks to survive passing out instead of dinner!

The service was excellent as the employee was very friendly. He even greeted my son with a toy chicken and offered him to ring the bell on display. Ordering is at the counter and seating is outside in the covered patio.

I'm indonesian who grew up here in the US and even I know this is not good Indonesian food. The beef dish that they call rendang is NOT rendang. It doesn't even have the taste of rendang. We also ordered ayam sambal sereh which came with two sad overcooked chicken breasts. The topping had lemongrass in it, which made it somewhat interesting but it was not pleasant to eat the overcooked chicken. What's ironic is that this was the order that they forgot and had to make last minute. I would not recommend this place to anyone interested in trying Indonesian food. This is not Indonesian food.

Your new favorite Thai spot in downtown Sacramento! I've had the pleasure of knowing the owner for years now and I'm leading with that because the first thought I had when I found out this was her restaurant was "Oh geez please let it be good". I'm not one to lie about a restaurant and pretend it's the best thing ever when it really isn't just cause I have some kind of connection to the staff. Great news. It's the best thing ever. My friends and I were deciding on a lunch spot and Thai Time was suggested. We've always wanted to try this place, but never had a chance to stop in. We get there and lo and behold the owner is an old friend! She's the most kind hearted and gracious person and I'm so happy to find out this beautiful spot is her own. Ambiance - First thing's first. The space is such a vibe. I don't really care if places are cute or instagrammable, but this place is both. First thing I said was "I'd definitely make this a date night spot". Service - I'm biased and I'll admit it, but 10/10 regardless. Even just hearing the way the other tables were taken care of was perfect. Food - As someone with a decent knowledge of Thai food, even though I'm no expert, I'd like to think I know what's good and I know what's just the usual "attempt" at Thai food. And with a sigh of relief I can say THE FOOD IS GOOD. We had a bigger bunch than expected so we were able to try a good mix of the menu. Fried Calamari - Batter was excellent and light. Curry Puffs - Filling was some of the best I've had for a Thai curry puff. Tom Kha - Can't go wrong, but this one was so right. Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) - My personal entree. Had that char from the pan/wok that most restaurants miss. Perfect. I think my friend got the Panang Curry? He loved it as well. Again, I'm quite picky when it comes to Thai food especially and this is going to be my official spot in Sacramento. And what's even more of a sign is that I've heard from several friends, all who told me before I knew this place had a personal connection, that they tried this place and they all LOVED it. If that's not a sign that this place rocks I don't know what is. Cheers to the owner who rightfully deserves the praise. And cheers to Thai Time for becoming my #1 Thai place here in Sac. We started with the Angel Wings, a delicious appetizer of crispy chicken wings stuffed with ground chicken and noodles, drizzled with a heavenly honey plum sauce. Next up was the Tom Kha soup with shrimp. The coconut-based broth was a blend of sweet and savory flavors, making each spoonful a comforting delight. For the main dishes, we shared the Pad Thai Supreme with chicken, Panang Curry, and the eggplant dish, which we paired with crispy pork belly and brown rice. I've been coming to Thai Time since they first opened, and it's honestly been so cool to watch it grow and change over time. You can tell they really care every little detail feels more intentional each time I come in. The vibe is what keeps me coming back. It's so cozy and warm, especially at night. The lighting is soft and glowy, not too bright, not too dark, just perfect. It makes you feel relaxed right away, like you're at home but with really good food. It's the kind of place where you want to sit, talk, and just enjoy your evening. Tonight I tried some of the newer dishes: Coconut Canopy Salad, Coconut Breeze Curry, and the Soft Shell Crab Curry. We recently tried Thai Time, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The food was just okay, but the portions were shockingly small for the price. We ordered the Drunken Noodles, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Tofu Lettuce Wraps, and our total came out to almost $70--way too pricey for what we got. On top of that, the service was terrible--probably one of the worst we've experienced in a while. Slow, inattentive, and not very welcoming. To make matters worse, they charge extra for silly things like a spice rack or a tiny side of sweet-and-sour sauce ($2!). Overall, we're glad we ventured out and tried a new place, but we definitely won't be returning. They've only been open for four months and their location will feel familiar... The spot has been home to different restaurants with the last one being a Mexican restaurant. It's great to have Mediterranean food as an option in the area. The interior of the restaurant definitely feels more comfortable than the previous establishment, and I love the new booths. Lunch is always made better when enjoying it with a good friend! I wanted to order a wrap, but ended up ordering the kafta burger. The wrap is still calling my name and it will be a reason for me to go back and try it! My friend ordered the two protein plate. Her plate came with a salad, rice, and not only looked super delicious, but she shared a bite with me and it was so tasty! My kafta burger was a generous portion of meat on a soft bun. The layers of fresh jalapeños, lettuce, their sauce, tomato, made for a delectable taste sensation. I added fries to my burger, and the fries were lightly seasoned and who doesn't like a good crinkle cut french fry?!? Service is incredibly fast, and the owner is very gracious. I'm looking forward to try more of his menu items.

I visited sweetgreen - Healthy Salads, Wraps, and Bowls in Sacramento, CA [1629 S St] on Sunday, 05/09/26, around 12:15 PM. For May 2026, the deal was still going on for the $12 Chicken Tostada Bowl. I had this bowl at the other location; it was so delicious that I had to order it again here while taking advantage of the offer. It was a literal win-win situation. I customized the Chicken Tostada Bowl with baby spinach, white rice, raw carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, tortilla chips, feta crumble, and antibiotic-free blackened chicken. I included an extra addition of the lime cilantro jalapeño sauce and sweetgreen hot sauce. I was pleased with the execution of the bowl. The ingredients were beyond fresh and locally sourced. The flavor completely satisfied my taste buds. The bowl was portioned greatly, and thus was fulfilling. I enjoyed consuming the bowl in front of the establishment outdoors. This location presented a nice, peaceful environment in the heart of Midtown Sacramento. The parking situation was a bit of a challenge, since the Ice Blocks development is known to be busy in general. I'd prefer visiting the location on Fair Oaks + Howe, for the reason that parking is much easier. However, the Midtown location is just as great and meets expectations. It's nice to know that I can visit, in case I happen to be in the area.

I like the clean, light and airy atmosphere; I ordered at the bar and the windows were open, letting in a nice breeze while I waited for my food. My friends and I have been here a few times for noodles and cocktails and appreciate the good service even when they've been busy. Parking is street parking. Thanks, we'll be back!

Parking is metered along the street so it can be tough because they're in a prime midtown location. The Saigon Pho is good but it's not like a regular bowl at a hood mom and pop pho shop. The meat cuts are OK. The broth is clean and tastes good. I give it a solid 4/5. The garlic noodles are really good. It doesn't have any meat with it though. Service was fast and friendly. Plenty of seats upstairs also.

The rice was a little too plain for my liking but it was delicious overall. Two tables outside and a few tables to sit inside. Really small place in the corner but I recommend stopping by.
