Easily one of the worst breakfasts we've ever paid for. Nothing tasted fresh and most of the food was left untouched after a few bites. The carne asada was awful -- rubbery, flavorless, and more like ground beef than steak. The biscuits and gravy were almost all meat with barely any gravy, and when more gravy was requested we were charged for it. The French toast was bad, our child didn't eat their meal at all, and the loaded fries only tasted "fresh" because of the tomatoes. Everything else tasted canned or jarred. Even the Tabasco that was offered looked green and expired. The French fries were somehow the best thing on the table, which says a lot -- clearly frozen. Spending over $50 for two adults and a child to barely eat is unacceptable. The pay-and-sit model didn't help, but the real problem is the food. There was no reason to talk to a manager because it's obvious this is just how they operate. This place is pure TikTok hype with 1/10 food. Food: Side of tater tots were fire. Prickly pear French toast tasted like raspberry jam on mozzarella sticks. January special poached pear and prosciutto avocado toast was flavorless. The space is bright and cozy, with plenty of seating available, including a few outdoor tables. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Thanks A Brunch operates as a laid-back, counter-service restaurant. We placed our orders at the counter and the staff brought our food to our table. I ordered the following: Mix and match tacos (2 green chili and 1 soyrizo) $16 Loaded Street Fries $15 Campfire Cold Brew The green chili breakfast tacos were fantas-taco! Next time, I'll stick to those; I'm not going to mix and match. They come with corn tortillas toasted with cheddar cheese, green chili, with scrambled eggs, salsa, avocado, and cilantro. Though I greatly appreciate a vegan option, the soyrizo wasn't for me. It comes with corn tortillas stuffed with JUST EGGS, Soyrizo, salsa, avocado, and cilantro. The loaded street fries features CrissCut fries with carne asada, cheese fondue, jalapeno, tomato, cilantro, and avocado. These were flavorful and great for sharing. Last but not least, the campfire cold brew was a delicious dessert in a cup! I absolutely loved it. We were all stuffed and some of us even had leftovers to take home. Been following on socials to support small business, came here excited to try. Place was full of people when we arrived. The girl who took our order was very friendly. The menu looks great and reads well. Waited in the middle of the room for a table to open for a few minutes, no big deal just very awkward as you feel like you're in the way. Table came open and we had to ask for it to be wiped down even after they removed the previous people's plates and drinks. Again, they are busy, no big deal. Order came out, I got the honey Sriracha chicken wrap, and asked for no onions. It came out and had onions as I have a sensitivity/minor allergy and sent it back. When the new one came out, there were still onions on the plate. The fries were cold and dry. The ketchup bottle lid look like it was gonna explode and hadn't been wiped off in a minute. We did like the cups that the drink drinks came in from Pepsi. My son got the classic breakfast burrito and it came out fine. My husband got the cookie butter tiramisu French toast and it was very dry and over overcooked maybe? My daughter got the kids French toast and had no complaints. The bathrooms were subpar. There was graffiti in one and some of the pictures look like they were falling apart or had fallen off the wall, easy fixes. The urinal had tape on it and was out of order. The other bathroom looked as if the toilet had flooded. We saw a young man go in with a mop and clean it up however, when another one of us went to use bathroom, there was even more water on the floor and it did not smell ideal. They probably should have just closed that bathroom. Overall, we give everyone a second chance as it could have just been a one off, but we came from San Tan Valley to try so it will be a while before we make the trip. Maybe next time. read more

Incapable of visiting a restaurant without looking up the menu in advance. My girlfriends and I stopped by this brunch spot after spending a weekend on the river. Since I had done my research, I already had a plan A, B, and C ready to order. My pick included a large glass of orange juice and their elote avocado toast. I had really high hopes for this place! It was saved in my to go collection since they opened. TL;DR - meh didn't enjoy and may possibly give one more try in the future. It's a small establishment. Because of the way they do seating, if you are going solo, take it to go. If you're going to bring a large group, go somewhere else. Okay for groups of 2-4. Pros: I really admire their unique menu. The service was friendly but rushed. Food: I ordered their banana cream french toast as a "platter" which added bacon, eggs and potatoes. Cons: They lack adequate seating. They state that you order at the counter top and then sit down. You order at the counter and then the person at the counter (not hostess) points and tells you which table you can sit at. I felt off put by this because I am solo but I still wanted to sit in a booth. She told me I had to sit at the high bistro table but I am short and don't like sitting at high tops unless it's at a big table so I feel secure when I have to hop up or jump down unlike a bistro table that wobbles and not supportive. I also didn't want to stand to eat. I understand that I would be taking up tables that would normally seat 4, but it isn't a customers fault that there isn't enough smaller tables in the normal eating area. I just wanted to eat... and eat comfortably. So I just said forget it and I'll take it to go and eat in my car. So I sat in front of their restaurant, in my car, eating my breakfast. I was also disappointed that they didn't provide any napkins in my to go box knowing I would be eating in my car. While waiting, I saw other customers trying to split up and one of them go "save a seat" while one person ordered the food... only to be told no, they needed to wait in line too. Additionally, it was quite hot inside, I stood in front of the fan and it was still warm. Not sure if there is a ventilation problem or maybe an off day that the a/c wasn't working properly? Now I don't like to giving cons without offering a suggestion because I do believe in small businesses and want them to succeed. My opinion/advice is to rework your current seating arrangement. I think there is ample space if you get creative. I think spending some $ on new seats and tables and make it more logistically accessible, will do you wonders. If that is too costly, maybe installing some umbrellas with misters outside could work for the tables you already own. I was sad to see some perfect tables outside not being utilized because it was just too hot. Additionally, having a hostess or larger sign of how your rules are with seating would be helpful. The sign on the door still made me feel I seat myself but that is inaccurate. And use some ropes or a faux wall to encourage everyone to stay in line to order. Now for the food. I'm not sure if I just came on an off day. I ordered my eggs over hard, and they showed up really really fried - like burnt fried. I could only eat one and then I was done. The potatoes aren't fresh so they just were meh and the bacon was too hard for me to eat. I think they might have been sitting out too long or how they're made I'm not sure but hard. Not crispy. If I was sitting in the restaurant I probably would have requested new eggs and bacon. The banana cream French toast was good. I was sad my whip cream didn't make it to the car. Do you remember fuddruckers? This place has the same "order what you want then go sit down and get your soft drink/coffee" vibe except for it's breakfast. I got the Bennie Burrito and I'm sorry but it was awful! The potatoes were dry and hard, the bacon was in strips in the burrito with only a butter knife to cut. Very salty, think hospital food trying to be trendy. Other's at my table got the loaded tots, classic breakfast, and a waffle. They all seemed to like the food. Came in around 12:06 on a Saturday. There was 5 people in line. It was packed, meaning every seat was taken. They have you order before you sit. Maybe 15-20 seats. After we ordered we sat at a booth. The numbers are cute into fresh flowers. We waited 10 mins. before our food came. My friend said her burger was good and had flavor. My BLTA had a kick to it and was good but idk for the price I paid I would get it again. $22.39. It was a bit hot inside and they did have a fan blowing, but with a lot of people it didn't feel like it was working. I counted a total of 8 workers that could be seen. One was busing the tables and two working the front area. Rest were in the kitchen. Parking lot is small, good luck finding a spot. I did see a lot of people coming in for to-go orders and that's probably cause they know there is no seating. read more

It was good. The service was quick. No line when we went in. Great options for coffee in their own little condiment section. Lots of syrups and sweeteners. I tried the breakfast nachos. They were super flavorful and fresh. Throw a little cholula on them for an extra kick. Hubby ordered the bacon and pesto breakfast sandwich. He doesn't praise much but he said it was really good and he would definitely go back again. We also shared the cookie butter French toast. This place is absolutely amazing. Saw it on Yelp and decided to give it a go. It was a late morning on a Saturday and there were some tables open. Food came out relatively quickly. There were so many options including sweet and savory and the staff were nice. Don't forget to dispose of your own food and plates afterwards to be respectful. Saw some people leave them on the table but we opted to help as it appeared like that was the expectation. The food was very good quality and would highly recommend. Thanksabrunch AZ was probably one of the best things I've eaten in a long time! Let's start with the food. Green Chili tacos and a mimosa flight. The tacos were DELICIOUS! The cheese was "burnt" on giving a very deep crunch, but my eggs and avocado soft. They were topped with fresh cilantro. If you like cilantro like I do, it's like a fresh little salad on top. Now, the green chili sauce was not spicy! I wanted a little more kick. Maybe just some diced jalapeño on top or in the avocado. The mimosa flight was Huge! I drank maybe 4 sips off of each and was stuffed. The "downside". There are reviews that state "great gf options". I would say this is true if you're expecting a salad as your option. However, there were 7 items available as GF. 4 of these were "potato based bowls" None of these included "bread". So, no French toast, avocado toast or even a substitute of bun on the burger. I LOVED my tacos but these may actually be the only thing I order any time we come here in the future. read more

Met the crew at Thanks a Brunch for lunch and it will now most definitely be on my rotation! It's counter service ordering, where you can snag a seat in their dining room. The space is relatively small, so I would not suggest it for larger groups, but definitely think they would be a great option for takeout or groups up to 6. They offer a generous menu featuring all day brunch items, lunch offerings and a few coffee options, as well as some cocktails! Their beverages seem to be rotating specials, I am sure to simplify the menu. This week they offered cold brew, with three options of cold foam: nutella, campfire and smores. I opted for black cold brew as the offerings were a little too rich for me, but hit the mark. I could not decide for the life of me what I wanted to eat, as everything sounded SO good. After talking to the staff, I opted for the very popular breakfast smash burger and it most definitely did not disappoint! Huge portion with lots of flavor. I went with a side salad instead of the waffle fries, as we got smothered carne asada waffles fries for the table. The side salad was great, fresh and nice portion with. mixed greens, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and some cheese. The waffle fries were AMAZING, though they call them criss cross fries I believe. But the price point is still like a sit down restaurant. They don't, or at least didn't, even refill coffee for you. You get a cup and it's serve yourself. Shared a Cookie Butter Tiramisu Stacked French Toast ($12 - French Toast stacked with our house-made Cookie Butter Tiramisu filling, cacao powder, espresso powder, & drizzled with syrup) and a Hollan-Daze in Phoenix Burger ($16 - Two smashed beef patties, American cheese, Green Chili Hollandaise, crispy chips, lettuce, tomato, bacon & served with side of your choice). Both were amazing and neither one outshined the other. Hey, sometimes we can't decide between sweet and savory, so the best thing to do it share. What a great spot! A group of us stopped by for a work lunch today and our food was sooooo delicious. They have plenty of indoor seating and guest wifi so it was a perfect place to work, chat, and get together. We stayed until closing and the cashier was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I'm not usually a fan of honey, but this wrap was to die for. It was spicy without being overkill and making me need water between sips - the perfect amount of heat! The waffle fries were also perfectly cooked and tasty. With all the reviews I was expecting more.... It's setup to order at the counter and then sit down. Wasn't expecting that being our first time. Ordered a couple of burritos and the American was super greasy and ended up giving my wife a stomach ache hours later. I got the Bennie burrito and it was just ok. Interesting spin on the eggs Benedict. They ran out of coffee and at the coffee bar most of the labels were faded so you had no idea what was cream or even if it was reg/decaff. Plus, coffee was barely warm which explains why they ran out(we got the last of it)! Overall, not sure we would return. Not because it was bad but because there are better options for us. read more

I called to place a to go order and the woman that picked up told me that she couldn't take my order over the phone because she had a full line ahead of her and directed me to place an online order. I wouldn't have minded if she needed for me to hold on the phone for a few minutes before someone was able to help me, but I couldn't place an online order because I didn't have my card information on me and I wanted to use Apple Pay. Thanks a Brunch came to my attention when Yelp friend, Chris H. posted photos of the food. I saw her photo of the Tiramisu French toast and knew I had to try it! Right away, I bookmarked this place. Recently, we were in AZ for our grandsons' high school graduation. I told my husband we were going to have breakfast here one of the days we would be in town. We came in the late morning. The sign on the building wasn't very big and we drove right past it. It was easy enough to correct our mistake. Upon entering, we noticed that this isn't a place where one gets seated and a server comes and takes your order. Instead, you go to a counter and place your order. A friendly employee was in the kitchen and she said she would be right out. Of course, I ordered the Tiramisu French toast. She asked if I wanted eggs and a breakfast meat with that. No, I said the French toast was enough for me. It was confusing ordering something to drink but it turned out that they had a soda machine that dispensed lemonade. My husband ordered "Bacon Breakfast Tacos" and a cup of coffee. We told her we would be eating there. Then she gave us a small vase that had a couple of artificial flowers in it and an order number attached. As for the food---Oh yeah! It was awesome! The Tiramisu French toasts consists of: "French toast stacked with our house made cookie butter, Tiramisu filling, cacao powder, espresso powder and drizzled with syrup". It came with a small cup of syrup...but...I ate it without using it. This was so good! All the flavors worked perfectly together---sweet but not overly so. The whipped cream on top was a nice touch and the added creaminess was appreciated. My husband's "bacon breakfast tacos" consisted of: "corn tortillas stuffed with scrambled eggs, bacon, salsa, avocado and cilantro served with house potatoes". His dish was very attractively presented, quite pleasing to the eyes. He enjoyed every bite of it. Plus he thought the potatoes were very well prepared, still moist and not dried out at all. Decided to reward ourselves after a hike and try this spot out. Glad we did because it was top notch. The service was excellent. We came around 12pm and had no issues getting a table. Food came relatively quickly. The ambiance is perfect for a sit down quick bite to eat but like still make it brunchy. Loved it. Food: Boyfriend ordered the sausage egg sando and he said it was delicious. It came with a style of breakfast potatoes. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Portion size was generous and enough for a post hike refuel. I ordered the breakfast smash burger and it was SO DANG GOOD! I will admit I have never had a "smash" burger and burgers aren't typically my choice but I am so happy I ordered this. It was massive! Smash patties were cooked to perfection with crispy edges. My only teeny tiny complaint would be I wish my fried egg was a bit runny as opposed to overly cooked. Still amazing though. The cross cut/waffle fries were excellent.
