Probably the best restaurant I've had in this area. Made reservations for the outdoor patio which they kindly held as my party and I were very late (luckily it was only a Wednesday). They have a happy hour deal and great, strong drinks. Food was great as well. The fried calamari was thai inspired and the sweet tangy flavors and vegetables complimented the dish well. My wagyu burger was so juicy (ofc since Wagyu is like 50/50 fat beef lol). This place is definitely on the higher end of the price range (almost DC dinner prices) but the food lives up to it. What an amazing find! The owner greeted us at the door, shared some history of the building and business. I am adventurous, so I asked to be surprised with any entree. Dave presented a stunning truffle butter pork chop, brussel sprouts, and a wonderful creamy parm orzo. The only thing disappointing was that my chop came to an end. My wife is not so adventurous and ordered a plain cheeseburger. She loved it too. I am now a loyal customer when we come back to the Hershey area. Beyond good -- it's great. The scallops are seared to perfection while preserving the creamy texture. Hubby had spicy wagu bolognese which was awesome. Meant to take picture but it was gone. Do yourself a favor and give this amazing restaurant a try. I wish I could help be it more stars. read more

First of all the town itself and this location are wonderful. The staff were excellent. Very attentive and even the owner came out and greeted us. Very nice people. The food was pretty good. I had a burger which I ordered med but came out well still ok. I wasn't a fan of the truffle fries they were too greasy even for me but my wife liked them. She ordered a shrimp dish with flat noodles and thought it was good as well. Next time I'm going for the steak!! The place was comfortable and nicely decorated inside and out too. read more

I'm assuming a lot of people find themselves in the position of being in the area to bring family to Hershey Park, looking for a "grownup" night out at a place that doesn't have any cartoon characters on the walls or chocolate in places it doesn't belong. If that's you, this is a nice spot. It's on a charming little street and, even though it's a touch hard to find, cozy inside. The night we stopped in, trivia was just wrapping up and the staff and patrons were incredibly friendly. Entrees were inventive but not totally out of left field. There are options for pescatarians and meat eaters alike, and a large beer selection. Our server even brought some small samples of interesting things during the meal. My wife is a huge theme park person, so we'll likely be back when we return to Hershey and need a reprieve. read more

Fabulous is the wold to describe the experience of the 1762. Owner's personal touch and the way he comes and introduce himself makes you feel very special. Service is outstanding too. Even my wife's challenge like spicy peppers side and hot sauce came right away. Overall 10 out of 5. Food menu and specials are outstanding. Great vibes the minute I came through the door . I had a craft cocktail "Orange you glad it's a Margarita" it did taste like another one !! Only if I had the room . I had the black bass- house salad and finishing with coffee and carrot cake . I stumbled upon this place bc my parents were staying in hummelstown for some reason while we were in Hershey. I agree with all the 5 star reviews that I read and they took great care of us. Food was amazing! We had clams burgers French onion soup mahi tacos and pappardelle and the kids loved the kids menu, chicken tenders were fresh chicken tenderloins with Panko breading that was perfect and not salty. My burger was perfect medium rare. Our waitress was fantastic and I think he was the owner or manager of the night came to check on us. Great food great service. We will look to stay in Hummelstown next time we are here! read more

My wife, mother, and daughter are traveling to Hershey PA and stumbled upon a true gem. We went to eat and were rewarded with so much more. First the decor an atmosphere was exactly my style. Rich dark woods, great lighting, and the chattering of what we found out were loyal patrons (for good cause). And let's not forget the bourbon collection. I like to think of myself as a whiskey connoisseur and their selection held many things I have rarely seen let alone tasted. Second was the staff. Once the owner David saw me eyeing the bourbon collections he stole me away from my table and share his wonderful collection and love for the brown nectar. He pulled out some great bottles and led me to a perfect selection. As I made my way back to my table my family were already being taken care of by a wonderful waitress. The owner was making his way around the table ensuring everyone's dining experience was perfect. Oh yes... the food.... Farm to table at it best. It was a select menu but full of unique wonderful choice. My family selected the prime rib (which I stole a bite and it was wonderful) and I got a Wagu meatball bolognese that had great flavor and slow heat that warmed me up overtime. Man it was delightful. This evening ended with some more wonderful conversation and an Bailey's Irish crème brûlée... sinful If you are in the area or even you you have to make a drive. To celebrate the end of the annual AACA Hershey show I arrived with two friends for dinner at 1762. While exploring the menu, our server asked for drink orders. We requested two glasses of wine which prompted the response "will that be a 6oz or 9oz" (a question expected from a corporate enterprise). Ordering a glass of wine should result in just a glass of wine without going through a decision process. I expressed that thought to our server who apparently passed it on to management. shortly thereafter our table was approached by a man claiming to be the owner who decided to give us a lecture on the individuals interpretation regarding the selection of ounces in the glass. This intimidating behavior was uncalled for and embarrassing. That unpleasantry aside, Cameron our server was most accommodating, food was average. Would not return or recommend. read more

Highly recommend this place! The food was amazing and prepared quickly! The owner is very nice and so are the waiters! I loved the calamari, it was the best I've ever had. The burger was delicious and amazing! The tube was great and the mashed potatoes were very rich and good! The flatbread and pasta from the kids menu was delicious and cheap! The outside seating was very nice and pretty, although we sat indoors because of the weather. We got the peanut chocolate cake and the chocolate cake for dessert. What a phenomenal place! Wife and I had a baby sitter and decided to give it a shot. The food was fantastic as was the service! 1762 boasts a good menu with plenty of variety, but not too much that it's overwhelming. The drink menu is stellar too! Five of us came here for dinner tonight. There wasn't a single piece of food on the table that was bad. I would highly recommend the smoky wings as both the buffalo and BBQ wings were great. I personally got the sesame chicken which was fantastic. The menu is not huge but it leads to all the food being great. The service was great, our server was Maleana.
