My friends and stopped in here on a recent trip to Savannah and were blown away! The service was great. The coffee was made better than most of the supposed coffee shops I've been to. Then there was the food. I had french onion soup, and the chicken cordon bleu hoagie. The gem was the app we had though. The greens and bacon dip with grilled pita. I know this place is super busy all the time, but I wasn't that impressed. Maybe it's what I ordered, but I ordered a simple steak salad. Not impressed. I figured you couldn't mess up a steak salad, but I was wrong. Salad was tasteless and I'm not one that usually likes heavy dressing. The steak wasn't well seasoned and I asked for medium rare and it was more medium well. I will give it another try most likely and order some of the other things that are more popular, but if I still have a bad experience, no go for me. read more

We are out of towners visiting from Florida and this place was so amazing that it made us consider moving to savannah. Kelly was our waitress and she was too good to be true! If you don't have time to come eat here while in savannah you need to reschedule your events. I got the meatloaf and my wife got the gyro and we couldn't stop eating even after we were full. I must say that the service here has improved immensely and now it is one of my favorite places to eat or hang out and have drinks. It gets pretty crowded at happy hour but otherwise you don't usually wait long. The entire menu is yummy and if you have enough room, you must have a piece of red velvet cake for dessert! read more

My husband and I decided to try the new restaurant while we were doing errands on a Saturday morning. The decor was awesome, kind of a cross between modern and cozy. We were seated right away, but had quite a long delay in being greeted by our server. We both ordered the Classic Breakfast which sounded yummy. When we finally received our food, it looked delicious and had generous portions, the only drawback was the temperature of the food. Scrambled eggs, grits and sausage gravy should be slightly warmer than lukewarm. The food was seasoned well and probably would have been great if we had received it while it was hot. I doubt that we will return to dine, but we might come back for nachos and beer. read more

People here are nice, food is decent, but service sucks. It's not busy. The problem seems to be wait staff standing around socializing with each other. I had to go ask to be waited on after being seated. The couple seated near me were already in place when I got here, but they aren't waited on until after I ordered. Another person in my area had to get up and get her own menu. I know it's a "neighborhood" place, but service is too laid back. Some people come to eat, not sit a long time and wait.... wait... wait. This 5 Spot is with a couple of blocks from my house. I remember being excited when it opened. Well, I've tried in on five different occasions now and it's disappointing at minimum, completely unacceptable at worst. Today, I decided to try it again, forgoing dining in, in favor of grabbing an order of eggs benedict to go. When I got it home, the eggs are literally HARD boiled, the meat is charred, and the muffin is hard. The place was busy. But this is the type of the experience I have at The 5 Spot consistently. Took my Aunt from California there and it was an amazing find to say the least! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with sweet potato fries and she ordered the Blackened Salmon Salad and loved it. The service was amazing and it was refreshing to finally find a place where I could order cranberry juice with my dinner. The 5 Spot is a great neighborhood restaurant located in Habersham Village. I usually visit this restaurant when my other favorite downtown restaurants have more than a 30 minute wait, and I need food right then and now. There is usually no wait, and the food is pretty decent. On my last visit however, our server was really pushy on trying to make me order drinks and desserts when I kindly denied her offer. read more

The burger was fine - OK choice if you are around the Habersham Village but the fried pickles were undercooked and the hosts ignored us when we arrived and that set the stage for an underwhelming experience. 5 Spot is my favorite neighborhood restaurant in Savannah. I eat here usually twice a week and take anyone from out of town here. Living in the Habersham Village area, I love having such a fantastic spot right around the corner. The staff is attentive, and when I had my 16-attendee birthday in the side area, they never seemed annoyed or frustrated with us. We love their Winesday and happy hour specials and I've never not enjoyed something I've gotten. My favorites are the Hummus appetizer, Chicken Bacon Gouda Wrap, Black and Bleu Salad, Truffle Fries, and their burgers are fantastic. Check out 5 Spot when you don't want to FIGHT for parking downtown. And their takeout is so easy too. read more

A new restaurant that I hadn't tried in Savannah, it actually surprised me with how good it was! the space actually opens up nicely with a bar area in the front and table seating set aside in the back. The ambiance is a modern southern charm combined with a New York-style wine bar feel. The staff were great about checking in with us, refilling our drinks and just providing quality service overall. I had the Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich with a side salad. It was very good - a bit messy so ask for extra napkins - but very good. They had a number of vinaigrette dressings to use for the salad, so that was great having so many "healthy" options for dressings. The menu offers a variety of options for every palette, and the service is fairly quick. Finally reasonable portion sizes, at least for a restaurant. We had brunch which was very solid. Eggs cooked perfectly. Choices weren't anything super special but food was consistently good. No wait at 10 on Sunday morning which was really nice. read more

My family and I have been coming here for two years and absolutely love it. The quality service you receive consistently coupled with very reasonably priced delicious food is pretty hard to beat. The happy hour is a pretty nice deal, as are the pint nights and other special events that come along pretty often. Personally, I'd recommend the smoked buffalo wings to start, then following up with the salmon BLT, meatloaf and finishing up with the chocolate cake. Great people making great food. read more

Food is good, with a great bar/comfort food menu. Atmosphere encourages friends and conversation. What will prevent my return is the service. We sat for almost 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and began serving. During dinner our waitress was attentive, pleasant, and friendly. Once the last plate was cleared we never saw her again. We had a wonderful lunch! The manager, Pete, was great. He clearly knows his business. Our server, Mike, was attentive and personable. He handled our rather rambunctious group with ease. My husband and I took his mother here for Mother's Day. We had reservations for lunch. When we got there we were a little bit upset that they had decided to serve breakfast until 2:00 pm. Love it. Clearly marketed as it is what it is. No pretension which is what Savannah restaurants are good at and if you are situated in Habersham village across the street from Punch and Judy you can't throw up neon and gang signs. Ventured here for breakfast on a Sat afternoon and it was moderately busy with a 10 minute wait. I don't think breakfast is their signature area of expertise but it wasn't awful.
