Our host was great and gave us some great tips on how to get the axe to land and stick to the wooden wall. The lanes had projectors where different targets and games could be changed. Did not take long to get used to throwing the axe properly and then we had a blast. Try the throwing knives too as I found them to be a bit more challenging. Check this unique place out. Pretty long time tbh the games and everything was fun definitely a good spot for double date or groups but for two we got a little bored and sore quick. They so have giant Jenga and connect four. The music and the workers were friendly and set the atmosphere. There should be a threshold of when to change out the wood. Cause it's all wear and tear. But I guess it doesn't matter too much. Was in the area visiting friends and family We decided to give this place a shot. Friendly staff but the upkeep is where they lost us. The wood boards were basically shredded wheat when we were there. Half of our group even switched lanes twice one lane was actually wood the rest just shredded. Knife's stay clear of they are over weight no balance to them. Went here for the first time last night. Made a reservation at 8pm for a date night with my wife and had another couple with us. They got us all set up, explained how it worked and how we should throw the axes. It definitely was more difficult than you would think. Our reservation was for an hour and about 40 minutes in I asked the young lady working there if we could add more time. She said that there were other reservations coming in at 9 to use our spot but if other spots opened up, which they probably would, then we could play there. We were like cool. She tried to get our axe about 5 minutes before the hour was up but my wife wasn't having that so we threw till 9 on the dot. Afterwards we asked about more time again and she said to go to the front and we will try and get you in. We went to the front desk were a young man helped us and said he should be able to get us in but there were a couple of walk-ins that came in and we're waiting. We were like well we had a reservation and want to add time does that not give us priority? Some places like bowling allow this so we asked. He got in one of the walk-ins ahead of us then said we could have one. Now it's about 910 and he asked if we wanted 30 minutes or an hour. We asked what the prices difference was. He said it's $15 per person for 30 minutes and $25 per person for an hour. The better deal was for an hour so we said an hour. He charged us then took us to our lane. It's around 915 now. At 10 o'clock he came around and said times up. My wife and looked at out watches and said it's only been about 45 minutes. He said he was sorry but they close at 10. Naturally we were like but you charged us for an hour and only gave us 45 minutes. Again, he said he was sorry but that they were closing. He said they could give us a credit for next time. We did not accept. We just told him that if you knew you weren't going to be open for an hour you can't charge people for an hour and then offer a credit. We were pretty disappointed by this and why I only gave 3 stars. Overall we all had a very good time, but employees need to know when they close and let people know, hey we only have 45 minutes till we close. I can do $15 for 30 minutes or $20 for 45 but do not charge people for an hour when you close in 45. It's bad business read more

Look no further, drive no further! Husband and I met up with my sister and her fiancé and had a fun double date night. Booked online, came about 15 mins early to check in which was a breeze, bought beers from their drink section and then waited in their waiting area for our stall. This was our first time axe throwing and won't be our last. $23 a person for an hr is a great price- next time we'll maybe purchase for two hours that way we can play more games. (They give you a binder with different games to play). I'd def suggest buying more than an hr if you have 4+ people throwing that way you can socialize without worrying about your time dwindling down. A comfortable medium. I'm deducting a star because their equipment seemed pretty rough. (I get it, it's an axe throwing place, but you'll see what I mean when you get there). And the dude who went over the rules and gave us tips talked really fast.... like giving side affects of medicine commercial kind of fast! Hahah. Did Lumberjack Theme Coed Baby Shower here tonight and it was the BEST time!!! They were so nice and accommodating for our party of 13!!! They gave us three lanes, and a private area to set up and decorate. It the cost was really reasonable. We were able to order in Pizzas (from San Biagios in Upland) and Cake. Then purchased beer/sodas from them. Really, everyone had the best time including our pregnant mamma!!! Most of our group arrived late and the let us go longer because of that with no charge. First time axe throwing and it took about 30 minutes before I could get the hang of it but super fun I would do it again. The safety tutorial is only about a couple of minutes. I would recommend maybe bringing ear plugs if you get headaches easily, I got a small headache just from all the noise but nothing too bad. Went on a Thursday @5 PM & no one else came in until about 5:30. One hour is plenty of time and dress comfy as you will sweat alittle because they don't have AC just a bunch of fans. read more

This used to be very fun at the old location. Since being at the new location, it's not worth it. Lanes are very compact, I almost got smacked with an axe from other people in lanes beside us. There was no AC, manager was very inconsiderate and was very rude when asked about it.. After stating to the manager how unhappy my group was, and asked for a refund (mind you, we haven't even started our time yet) she stated that they can't do "same day refunds" when I literally made my reservation an hour prior... We arrived around 430pm and I noticed that the layout places spectators and participants uncomfortably close to each other. Given that axe throwing involves handling sharp objects, I found this proximity to be quite unsafe. In contrast, I felt that the Riverside Axe Throwing location provided a much safer environment with more space and better separation between participants and onlookers. read more

This was SOOO much fun! I've never thrown an axe on purpose haha and we got the hang of it in just a few tries. We even started playing games for points! They have cold beer available which was a HUGE plus. We went at 4pm and it was pretty warm so be sure to wear something that will keep you cool, as you are moving quite a bit. My cousin had baught out the lanes for a double date a while back that fell thru due to Covid exposures. The place is cool enough to offer a refund (within 72hrs notice i beleive). First at check in- i said my name and pary and the guy did not find my resevation. I was concerned but i gave him the name on the confirmation email and the gift credit that was under my cousin. I showed him the email on my phone and the guy next to hom found it, so i am not sure if he didnt hear becuase of the noise level or me wearing a mask..but he didnt bother to ask for clarification if he had my name right...but anyways, i had a girls day with my coworkers. We booked the glow In the dark lane for 8 originally but 3 people canceled on us the day of. Which still gave us more time to throw. The instructor only showed us how to throw over the hand and one handed but i have seen on here throwing doubles or throwing starting at bottom and flicking the arm up like a horse shoe kind of throw..so that was disappointing. I could not book for 2 hrs but was told over the phone by Mike or Michael that we could add in an extra hour after and it would be no problem he sees people that enjoy it and have no problem adding time. This is where my issue was. He said he made a note on the account since we had a remaining balance of about 150$ or close to it and he or some one there could give a group discount for the second hour. Apparently after driving an hour to the place and playing for an hour they told us we had 15min left. We said we would like to add an hour since our dinner reservation was later at 8:30 we could use the hour. The guy, didn't catch his name but he was tall had dark hair-average build, he said "normally we could but we are booked out that is why you could not add the extra time". THAT WAS NOT EXPLAINED OVER THE PHONE WHEN I BOOKED. Had we known we would have rescheduled. This was for my birthday combined with 2 other coworkers. We do not all live in the same area and we were told we would be able to add time once there since we could not while booking online. So we left after the hour and had nothing to do between that time and the dinner reservation that also should not have to bump us up for this. And we cannot get the remaining balance back so we will be coming back and getting a confirmation of everything so they don't pull this again! read more

Like most people, I have been seeing Axe Throwing all over the internet. This was the closest and only location I could find. Their website was extremely easy to maneuver so I was able to make a reservation quickly. They are not available all day. They open at 5 pm and close at 10 pm. The business itself is located in a very strange place. Its in a secluded part of the city inside of a warehouse. At first look it seems pretty shady. Once you go inside you'll see that it isn't that bad. They begin taking reservations at 5:00 but if you show up a little early and they are already open, they wont hesitate to let you start early. I went during the middle of the week, so it was pretty empty. There was only one other group there and only one staff member waiting on all of us. It was pretty straight forward. She had us sign some waivers, then took us all to the lanes and gave us a demonstration. Then she watched us do it twice and left us to enjoy the rest of our reservation. The target is just a large piece of plywood with a target shape spray painted on. It's simple but very fun. Personally, I don't think anyone needs longer than an hour reservation. By the time you hit the 45 minute mark you'll be exhausted. read more
