Did not look like your regular bbq joint. Reminded me a chain restaurant from the outside but inside was really nice and inviting. Very casual atmosphere. The menu is limited but when we asked they had ribs. So we ordered half a rack of ribs, a pulls pork sandwich with fries and a brisket sandwich. The ribs were very tender, as was the brisket. Both had a great smoke flavor which didn't require any sauce. The pulled pork was piled high and also had great flavor. The fries were the basic crinkle cut...nothing special about them. Only problem I had was the sauces. They were vinegar based and too strong. The meat was good enough to not need any sauce. Service was nice. It wasn't packed but once it got full, we still received the same service as when we were the only table in there.

Was craving a burger, stumbled across this place. Great service and food. I got the burger and the other ppl in my group ordered the boom burger. We got a side of tator tots, fries and potato salad. The burgers were big and delicious, so were the fries and tots. Potato salad was missing flavor, not sure if that's a normal for them or perhaps just personal preference. But a no for me. We also did half and half tea, so good. Our server Vergos was great!

Best Brisket I've ever had! The ribs are not in the menu but ask for them you will not be disappointed

Updated review: This is no longer an order at the counter and find your own seat kind of place. No more rustic wooden tables and benches. You sit at a fancy table, and there is wait staff. Prices are still reasonable. I got the hot dog and tots to eat there and a hot dog with deviled eggs to go. Everything was good.

It is National Burger Day so I decided to try a new one. It did not disappoint. Juicy, high quality smashed beef patties loaded with cheddar and grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Perfectly seasoned and superbly cooked. I will be back! The menu has lots of tasty options of other sandwiches and such too. I also experienced excellent service from a great bartender, who made a delicious Bloody Mary.

Burger was bomb and speedy service. Fries were okay but I'm a little picky haha. Overall a nice atmosphere!

The Backyard has one of the best smash burgers in the city. Juicy patties, homemade pickles and tater tots! What's not to love! AND there is much more on the menu to explore. Nice outdoor seating, and the weather is perfect right now. Stop on by...

I went in to order takeout at the bar. It's a small but cute little place. I ordered a Brisket sandwich, crinkle fries, and a sprite and paid about $25. It was hot when they bought it and it took about 15 minutes or so. Overall the brisket sandwhich was well good and tasty! Crinkle fries were good too but nothing to brag about. There's also a little outside sitting area. Only thing is parking was scarce, people were in cars waiting on others to come out so they could park. I'd definitely go back though.

Cold Fashion there take on an old fashion was very very good.. 5 stars

Very good, tasty burger. Beers are too expensive though, $6 for a pint of Parish Envie.

When visiting New Orleans, we stumbled across The Rum House and got curious. With a name like that,…read moreI figured they had to know rum, so we decided to give it a try. Luckily, we arrived during happy hour. We started with the tuna ceviche, which was half off. At only $8, it was an incredible value. The fish tasted very fresh, clean, and was beautifully presented. My only complaint was that it needed a little more lime and salt to really make the flavors pop. I'd absolutely order it again at happy hour, but at full price I'd hope for a little more seasoning. For drinks, we tried several. The Rum Punch didn't disappoint. It reminded me of a Hurricane but without the heavy grenadine flavor, which I personally prefer. Next was a creamy white rum cocktail with a pineapple garnish (I can't remember the name). It was surprisingly strong, which I loved since rum is usually a softer spirit. It was just a little sweeter than my taste, so I probably wouldn't order it again. The star of the night was the Piña Colada. It was honestly one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overly sweet, had an incredibly smooth, creamy texture, and was topped with whipped cream and a rum floater that was absolutely perfect. They told me it's double blended, and whatever they're doing works. My only complaint? No maraschino cherry! I'm sorry, but a piña colada just isn't complete without one. One thing to keep in mind is that piña coladas tend to drink more like dessert than a strong cocktail. I had two and barely caught a buzz, but honestly I didn't care because they were that good. We also sampled the White Peach Sangria, and to me it tasted very similar to Moscato. If you're a Moscato fan, you'll probably love it. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Between the happy hour deals, the rum cocktails, and especially that piña colada, The Rum House is absolutely worth a visit. The piña colada would be the first thing I'd order again.

Recently, I was craving a roast beef poboy and walked over to try theirs. It was outstanding. It came dressed with pickled purple onions and horseradish cream sauce. That, with some seasoned fries, was a great meal. I love that they partner with Dong Phuong for their bread and they use Blue Plate mayo. I've seen the Dong Phuong truck dropping off bread and king cakes so I know they're 100% keeping it local. Service can be a little slow but everything is made to order.

There is both covered and exposed seating, however all of the seating is beneath the canopy of an elder oak tree. The landscaping is carefully homegrown with beautiful greenery and pretty flowering shrubs to greet you upon arrival. There's also a stage where you can enjoy live music. Once inside, you're greeted by welcoming staff who are proud of what they serve. The interior is modest, with nice rustic carpentry. Bourrée is to Boucherie as Cochon Butcher is to Cochon. It's a wing and daiquiri spot, but the wings are natural (read: smaller than the hormonal wings we're used to) and the daiquiris are dry, just the way I like them. Mr. Tea is my favorite of their daiquiris because sugar isn't the first thing I taste, instead I'm actually getting that antioxidental brewed tea flavor. Never thought I'd want that from a daiquiri, but as it turns out, I do. Their fries are some of my favorite in the city: shoestringy with crispy ends, the skin still on, salty, and plentiful. We also love their version of fried Brussels sprouts which taste of maple-citrus with bites of Tasso mixed in for good measure. My only gripe was with the jerk wings which didn't taste of jerk, just spicy. And if I'm being honest, the wings aren't the best of what they offer. They make everything in house with quality standards as high as Boucherie.
