We ordered the matcha, sweet potato, Nutella and the coconut butter flavors. Out all of these I'd say the Nutella was the best one. Found the place from an IG reel. It looked really delicious, but didn't taste as good as the presentation. We were looking for more sweetness. The price is a bit pricey as well for one donut. read more

The worst bakery I've been to the bread was disgusting and the drinks were terrible. I'll never go back to this bakery it's by far the worst bakery I've been to in my life. Like most people recently (I'm assuming), I came here looking for the strawberry milk cream donut I saw on TikTok. Bit of confusion finding it because I was looking for a place called Yozm Donut on Wazr, but then realized I had to park in a mall where l it's just one item from a mall food court place on the third level generically called The BAKERY. Anyway, finally found it and tbh I'm underwhelmed. It's a perfectly average sugared cake donut, the kind usually filled with jelly, only this is cut up the side and over stuffed with freshly whipped cream. It was good, but I expected maybe a more delicate donut considering the hype. It was a little dry but tasty, and it cost $4.75. Yummmm! When in OC, this place is a must. They have a cafe location in the same plaza and a food court stand alone stop upstairs also. Upstairs where the food court is, they have more variety and bread options in my opinion. I've been twice and indulged in every bakery good item; everything is so delicious and so satisfying. I basically only come here for the gombo donut bread with sweet potato filling! It's Korean bread stuffed with sweet potato mousse? And then deep fried like a donut with crumbles on the outside, it s definitely not diet friendly but for a treat it's delicious! I've tried cookies from here before and it wasn't anything amazing, and I've had flavored lattes and were too sweet for me. I do want to come back to try their beautiful cakes tho! read more

We visited the place right after opening. Not much variety to choose from. We were told that everything would be ready after 12. Staff didn't seem to be happy to be there and were not very welcoming. Had to ask if I could be helped even though cashier was standing right behind counter. read more

Honestly, it was the lack of customer service for me. Prices are higher than average and for the experience, it's not worth it. I've had better products with better customer service from other bakeries that'll actually make me return. This place makes me want to tell my friends to avoid at all costs. read more

In this cute new mall in Buena Park called The Source located on the third floor in a open food court kinda style. They leave out very generous sized samples of the sweet potato gumbo and the red bean gumbo. I enjoyed this unique Korean sweet potato donut but my favorite was their sesame roll surprisingly. The texture of this bread is slightly chewy and actually the flavor was really nice and you can def taste the sesame. Would be back! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Very difficult to get the item you want. I went here Monday early morning to buy their donuts. Staff said donuts are not available until 1hr -1 1/2 after. Which is almost 2hours after they open. I came back again today in the afternoon and they don't have their top selling donuts available. I asked if I could just call next time because I wanted to order 2 dozen. He said no. They don't take orders ahead of time. I asked to speak to the manager. but staff said the manager doesn't come till later at night. I decided to get another item since I was already their. When I was about to insert my card in the machine, the cashier says they only take cash if it's less than $10. It's 2023! What kind of business is this??!! I was so annoyed and just left. Very terrible experience. I will definitely not come back to this place. And definitely do not recommend this to anyone. read more

The creativity of the breads shaped like their flavors (eg. banana bread, nutella bread) is so cute! they have traditional korean sweets like manju and red bean bread which is so cool. I love that everything is always baked fresh that day and the staff are all so friendly, quick, and nice! They always do their best to help with recommendations or finding specific breads if you need anything. The specialty Gombo donuts are great and the cold brew's really good, but you have to go to the second floor location for the hot drinks (which is a really cute cafe). I love supporting local family/poc owned businesses so this is a good spot to stop by for fresh baked bread instead of just buying it with the rest of your groceries! Their donuts and cookies are also great snacks if you like something sweet. I love coming here! read more

I think this coffee shop over all is okay. The coffee is okay and the decorations are also okay. But I've definitely been to more impressive coffee shops around the area. I also think that the seating is a bit uncomfortable and it's a bit loud inside here. Their desserts to look really nice and next time I would like to try one of them. Maybe they could keep the coffee shop a little bit less cluttered to give more of a relaxed feel. They should also have an option for drip coffee, but unfortunately they do not have any. read more

Having tasted the real Sungshimdang soboro breads in Korea, I was excited to find out that they make the similar soboro breads. At my time of visit, the bakery was offering two types of soboro breads: sweet potato & red bean. Unlike the American cousin, the OG Korean bakery offers variety of fillings from sweet to savory. I was sorta disappointed by their selections. Breads I've got - the sesame sweet rice bread, cream bread, sausage bread, and soboro with sweet potato. 9 breads equal to $20. Not exactly cheap either. Were those breads worth It? Personally, nope. Nothing new, nothing better, or nothing special. The soboro bread was way too sweet. After two bites, I couldn't finish that bread. Sausage bread was very salty and everything else was very standard. Had better old fashioned Korean baked goods else where with better price. Whatever they lack in taste, they make it up with the packaging. Their packaging is cute but that's about the most appealing thing about the bakery. Not going to go out of my way for their baked goods. There are just too many better Asian bakeries in town. But if you're looking for a quick bite before the movies, try them out inside the food court at the Source. read more

The first time I came here, service was great! A young lady was so willing to let my friend and I sample anything because it was our first time. We got to try a variety of things and ended up buying a bunch of bread! Today, January 16th, I stopped by at around 5:30 and I was interested in buying bread, but wanted to sample a different bread. another middle-aged woman with colored hair rudely answered asking me why I would ask for samples if there are no samples present. I mean it's totally fine if I can't sample anything, but it was plain rude and it made me not want to buy any more bread here lol. 5/5 for the bread, 3 stars b/c of the rude worker read more

I have tried the sausage bread , opera cake & their strawberry cream filled bread so far and all of them are sooo good! My co worker always brings these treats to us all the time. A new bakery inside the food court at the Buena Park CGV plaza. Featuring the newest bread craze that took over South Korea right now: the Gombo Donut! Based off a popular bakery in Korea, I actually forgot the name of the bakery. Unfortunately, they could not use the same name as the bakery since they are not a franchise. In the end, they delayed their launch date and opened up as The Bakery. Items ordered: the Gombo donut with red bean, the gombo donut with sweet potato, and red bean bread. Honestly, I heard the stories how people waited hours to get one of those. It reminded me of the cronut faze so I was a little excited to try. They used the Soboro bread which has a peanut cookie on top of the bread and filled it with red bean or sweet potato then fried. I love sweet potato so I was really interested in trying that one first. It definitely had a crunch factor with the way they fried the bread and made the cookie part all crunchy, but that just left a heavy taste in my mouth because of the oil. Not to mention the sweet filling of red bean or sweet potato kind of muddles the flavor a bit. I mean, it's a sweet bread. Nothing wrong with it, but I would not wait in line to buy this for $2.50 a piece. Both donut was a bit heavy for my taste with the overpowering taste of oil throughout the whole bread. I actually prefer it separately, thank you. The red bean bread was a simple bread with red bean and I thought that tasted better. I grew up on soboro bread and it is a childhood favorite. There is a reason they are still popular to this day. It works and it's good. I'm not sure how long this Gombo donut faze will last, but it started with one and ended with that exact one for me. I'm no longer interested in going out to get more Gombo donut. I will stick with the original. read more

Had a chance to check out this location. There are two of these cafes in the same mall/ plaza. The one on the third floor is more baked goods.(breads). The one on 2nd floor is more for drinks and an after meal treats. Had a iced honey latte and chocolate chip cookies. The latte was delicious and well balanced. Not to strong with coffee and not to sweet with honey. Perfect perk me up after all the kbbq I just had. The cookie was a bit over baked. Could have gone 1-2 min less in the oven. Intimate environment with limited seated, but very cute and relaxing. Service is also very helpful in explaining options and pleasant to interact with. read more

It was freshly made, beautifully presented, and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. Everyone in our group enjoyed their desserts, and it was the perfect way to end a graduation celebration. The staff was friendly, the desserts came out quickly, and the quality was excellent. If you're visiting the Anaheim Packing House and looking for a delicious dessert or a sweet treat after dinner, Parfait Paris is absolutely worth stopping by. We'll definitely be back!

The process was slow, for us and those who ordered ahead of us. The seating area is so so. There nice booths on either side, but the center row of tables is a bit too wide so when sitting there I felt like I was in the way of people trying to walk by. There is no decor, besides scattered plants, which is fine, it's just funny that they didn't stick with the "Strange" theme from the cafe with their psychedelic 70s prints. The food was ok. My husband had the tres amigos breakfast tacos with chorizo. It came with no sides, just 3 chorizo and egg tacos. Beans would have been appreciated. They were not very flavorful. I had the chilaquiles with asada and the green salsa. The green salsa was very tasty. The asada was ok. My husband took some of my salsa covered chips to add to his tacos for more flavor. One annoying thing is the amount of single use disposable plastic they use. All the drinks come in plastic cups, even water, the salsas come in those small salsa containers with lids. I'm no tree hugger, but i think we do have a responsibility to be conscientious and not create more waste and trash than necessary. Just buy reusable and wash the dishes. It just seems lazy. You can tell the owner is trying to save money wherever they can, to the detriment of their customers and the environment. If they had servers taking orders at your table and real serve ware, the experience would have been better and maybe we'd plan to come back, but as it stands now we won't be back. My husband said "they don't know who they are", and I agree.

I had an awful experience at The Bakery on August 9th around 7:40 PM. The cashier with circular glasses provided the worst customer service I've ever encountered. They were rude, dismissive, and made the entire experience uncomfortable. When I asked a simple question, they responded with an attitude that was completely uncalled for. It's disappointing to see such poor behavior from the staff at a place I was excited to try. Management seriously needs to address this and retrain their employees on proper customer service. This experience has made me reconsider coming back to The Bakery in the future. read more

Anyway, she didn't want to be mean so she held on to it until we got a few stores down and tossed it. Then we went on a hunt to find her ice cream smh. Now, from my experience, it wasn't bad and I understand what they are doing. It's a healthy ice cream that isn't creamy and it's not something I would eat but I get the concept. It's for healthy eaters wanting to fill a craving, which isn't for everyone and I think she was being a little emotional about wanting her ice cream. The large one is refrigerated and contains cold desserts (cheesecakes and cakes) and there is a small room temp display case in the wall to the left that has some smaller bakery items. La La Bakery also happens to sell many different clothes, beyond just the desserts and drinks. Service was very friendly, and they still offer a free drink after you have written a review (redeemable on the second visit). On this Friday afternoon they happen to have sold out of the items I wanted, a regular Japanese Roll Cake and the Strawberry Dacquoise. I stead selected the Matcha roll cake, which had a nice bitterness balanced with slightly sweet cream layered inside. Cake was light and spongy, and price proportional to the size (about 1.5 inches deep). We got 3 dacquoise. The matcha was solid, again bitter due to matcha but creme was sweetened more than the cake. The chocolate was nice and creamy, the cookie part stiff but easy to bite and did not crumble. Lastly the'Lotus' seemed to be mislabeled and tasted like a gingerbread or gingersnap with strong cinnamon taste. There was a Financier cake with pistachio and chocolate on top, and definitely too crumbly to eat in a car. I asked about the cheesecake flavors and was recommended the strawberry. It was sweet, and a uniform red color throughout. On my return I would instead get the blueberry cheesecake, where I can see blue ripples and whole blueberries. I suspect it might be a comparable sweetness but with whole fruit.

I got the Heavenly Veggie bagel on an asiago, and my husband got a sausage, egg & cheese on a sesame seed. SO fricken YUMMY. I also took a spinach parm bagel home which I would get as my primary choice next time. Parking lot is a bit small, and the shop is kinda hidden in the corner, but highly recommend going!! The rice cakes in the middle are packed with a paste (my friend said maybe it was a sesame paste) that was good, it had a little bit of juice to it as well but those rice cakes were a big hit! Overall appreciate the kindness and authenticity of this business.
