    Packer Omelette!!
    Dean B.

Hello I give Blackstone 4 stars in the the categories of. Local, Diner, greasy spoon, nothing fancy, good food and plenty of that category!!! If you want decent family friendly this is the joint. Also great hangover food after a evening Packer game. Just go and have fun! Eat a ton and forget the diet! I had the Packer Omelette- Eggs, bratwurst, onions amd cheese. Go get it!!

Went here for the first time 9/28/22 @8:30am. Busy place! Lotta people seated. My waitress was great. Saw a Neg review - hey- there is only ONE waitress and SHE IS AWESOME . Ppl need to chill out. FOOD HOT AND FRESH- place clean prices right and wow- Lotta to go orders and in-seating. I def will be back and I always say support local/ not big box support the little guy that has been here years. They do a great job here. Can't say enough good. During the pandemic so many places like this had to shut down- Glad they made it thru and glad I can support them. All the food I got was just over 1"- with tip 13. I will be coming back. Until the next review, Yelp Steve-O out

The meatloaf lunch was pretty good and very reasonably priced! The waitress was super friendly and helpful! The location was very easy to find with good parking!

No one could see the burnt food when they dumped it into my continer?

This wasn't the first time that we've ordered here but it was the last. Our order came up $8 more than what was posted online. Our breakfast was just bad. The worst part was the burnt to a crisp onions that were in my skillet. I did message them regarding the price difference and burnt food. They replied "sorry".

Called at 10:50, the guy said hold on one sec. Put me on hold and didn't answer me after calling for another 20 minutes. I went there and waiting 35 minutes to get 5 things of jam, 3 utensil sets. I asked if I could have extra sausage instead of bread and pancakes, she said "yes but meats expensive so it will be a dollar extra" I also asked for 5 eggs and got 2 eggs and maybe 1 cut up sausage link. They charged me $11.50 instead of $7.50. The staff looked like they were tired and in rough shape. I feel bad so I let them keep the money, but that was very annoying. I was very nice and respectful, but I warn you not to waste your time & money there. I wanted to let them know how I felt and that I need my money back, but I figured I already spent over an hour & a half trying to get less then 2 eggs and a 3 inch sausage link that it just wasn't worth it. Don't go there, I hope they will better some day.

    Chicken tenders.

I mean I was starving after going to a concert Saturday and this was the closest place that was still open to us. It was freezing in here the entire time we dined. We both ordered the chicken tender meal which came out quickly. I like the chicken itself it was crisp and pipping hot. The meal was supposed to come with fries and coleslaw I think but I only got fries. They were good had no seasoning on them. It is a good late night option if you want a quick meal.

I love this place. I always go there for the breakfast food. Great 24/7 dinner. Plate sized pancakes are to die for.

Great place to go after a night downtown. Fast, greasy, inexpensive food that seems to hit the spot after an all nighter.

Great amount of food at a cheap price. They do not honor their yelp check in discount though.

Regular diner-type food that took a VERY long time to come and then they wouldn't accept the $5 off check-in offer.... Really??

Sadly our experience was far from pleasant. We arrived on a Saturday morning, after the breakfast…read morerush and it seemed that was to our detriment. We were not greeted and had to wait on the hostess. When she arrived she didn't greet us, just said, do you need to pay your bill? When we said, no we needed a table, suddenly there was this apparent rush to seat us w/o any further interaction. Our waitress had a nice enough demeanor but after taking our order she disappeared. Other tables seated after us were served well before us, to the point they were finishing their meals as our orders were just coming out from the kitchen. I ordered their French toast combo w/ a side of hash browns, asking for the toast to please be put on a separate plate. Andy ordered an omelette and biscuits & gravy. I think a simple enough order, minus my request for a separate plate. My meal was served on three plates, two of which were hot, the food however was not. The eggs were cold and rubbery, the French toast soggy and the potatoes soaked w/ grease; everything cold after sitting under a heat lamp. Andy's meal was mediocre. The waitress eventually returned asking how everything was, I told her my food was cold and she offered to have it remade but after the amount of time it took for the initial order I declined. She returned a second time asking if I wanted a cinnamon roll or anything else and again I declined. There was a gentleman working who we'd talked about as we waited on our meals. He appeared to be a manger, perhaps an owner? I'd mentioned how refreshing it was to see him taking an active role in the service of other guests and staff. But after receiving our meals he seemed to have fallen into an apparent abyss. We didn't see him for the rest of our visit. However the ambiance/attitude of the staff completely changed. There was much more attention and interaction w/ the other guests, but for me, personally, it was too little too late. There's a lot that one can recover from w/ a simple word or gesture, but not a word was uttered about why our order took so long, where our server went, or even a simple apology for the food taking so long or it being cold. The gentleman that was there and so jovial w/ others, said nothing to us. They did take my meal off the ticket, which I appreciate. But this was only our second visit there and will be my last. Perhaps our ticket was misplaced, or we came in as our server & others were going on break, heck maybe they had to completely fire something from scratch but none of this was explained.... all that was left was a bad taste in my mouth and an empty stomach.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk had maps of the local shuttles that run…read moreon football gamedays, which is appreciated. I got the old school metal room keys, feels so vintage! It takes a little jiggling to get it to lock, but it's possible! The room was well kept, certainly a small room, but it was clean. And at least I had a fridge and microwave, which I didn't have in my previous hotel in Milwaukee. Small TV is mounted to the wall. No stationery or anything like that. The morning after, I had breakfast at the motel restaurant. If you stay at the motel, you get a 3 dollar coupon, which is very nice. The waiter recommended the Philly steak skillet, so I went with it. The skillet came with hash browns, sirloin steak, veggies, and pepper jack cheese along with some buttered sourdough toast. Very good meal, friendly service as well.
