Combo #2 with King crab, shrimp and crawfish. All overcooked and dry. And not enough sacue.
    Peter J.

I'm convinced that anyone giving The Blazin' Craw five stars has never had truly good Cajun seafood. I am okay people giving this place 3 stars and that's being generous, but based on my experience, I want to give a ZERO star. My wife and I ordered Combo #2 with king crab, shrimp, and crawfish. The king crab was an extra $25, which I was fine with, until it arrived overcooked to death. Same story with the shrimp and crawfish. On top of that, there was barely any Cajun sauce, which made already dry seafood even worse. When you're paying this much, rubbery seafood is unacceptable. The sauce was another disappointment. Cajun seafood lives and dies by its sauce, and this one was mediocre at best. They were bland, forgettable, and lacking depth. Nothing bold, nothing crave-worthy. Sides somehow managed to be worse: Garlic bread was so overcooked it was basically a seasoned crouton. Rice tasted like it was 2-3 days old--dry, hard, and unpleasant. I've worked in kitchens before, and I know day-old rice is normal, but this was far past acceptable. Service didn't help the situation at all. Not once did anyone come by to check on us or see if we needed anything. No refills, no follow-up, nothing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And then there's the restroom, which honestly sealed the deal. Disgusting. No soap, filthy conditions, and graffiti everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I literally had to rinse my hands with water and hope for the best. If this is how they treat the restroom, it makes you seriously question what's happening in the kitchen. (I personally did not see the health grade posted, but many other Yelpers mention that this restaurant has a B grade and based on what I experienced--especially the restroom--that wouldn't surprise me). Bottom line: overcooked seafood, bland sauce, stale sides, nonexistent service, and unsanitary restroom.

Haven't been here in over a year and should've read the reviews before wasting time parking. Walked up, saw the big fat Letter Grade "C", and went back to the car.

I placed an order at 9:12 pm. I got a notification saying my order is ready. Guess what it is 9:56 and I keep getting the runaround. Not ready. The person at the entrance doesn't care, clearly just says wait we are too busy. At the end, they gave me the wrong order. I want a refund. this place is a joke.

Super delicious food. I really wanted to go to a seafood boil on my birthday and it didn't disappoint. It's a pretty busy place. Once you get there you can get yourself on the waitlist. It goes by pretty fast, we were like number 22 as a party of 4. We just went next door to have some drinks. We got our text that we were next and everything was great from there. Fast service and food came out quickly. I'm iffy about seafood boils cause I don't like boils that are sweet. The flavor of the seafood boil here reminds me of the boiling crab but more saucier with butter. Only downfall of this place there is only two bathrooms. One per each sex. It can be bit of a wait and to even just wash your hands. They need a hand washing station if anything. Other than that, easy 4/5.

The parking SUCKS!!! Placed an order an hour and a half early! Today is my birthday and I was craving some seafood boil. So my son and I went in to pick up our order and the girl cutting butcher paper was rude and not very friendly! She said our order wasn't ready because they didn't have crawfish and if I wanted to substitute it for anything else (NO!). No one at this place called me when it clearly gives you the option to "CALL ME" if something isn't available. No one called. Now we had to wait another 10minutes for them to put it together. Mind you, we got there early and still had to wait! I will never come here again. Spent $120 for our order and the girl walks out with a small bag. It obviously felt light and I knew they messed with our order! What a joke! We will NOT be returning!!!!

The food was amazing! the service was friendly & communicated well. It was our first time, nothing to really complain about.

This was my first time trying The Blazin Claw, as well as sea food boil. I personally think it was good. I ordered the 1lb of headless shrimp with blazing sauce and no spice. The flavors were good and it was a great experience overall. The waitress was very nice and helped us out with the menu for our first time. I recommend trying this place especially with friends and family. I didn't give it a 5 because I'm not a big sea food person but for those who enjoy sea food, this place is a great place to try.

This was just what I wanted for a Friday take out! The place was full, so we ordered our food to go. Combo #2 was good for 2 adults and a kid. You can tell that their food is fresh and very well seasoned! The take out comes in a bag with a wax paper to use for your food. Loved the easy-peasy cleanup! I cant attest for the cleanliness of the place but the service I received was good and pleasant. The family says that they'd gladly order food here again Thank you!

Ordered take out. It took 30 more then originally told. Also had this nasty potato put in our sea food bag.

Do they take reservations or is it first come first serve? If they do take reservations how can we request it ahead of time?

They don't take reservations, it's based off on first come first serve.

Are they doing inside dining yet?

No especially not now because of the recent cdc shut down

Why every time I call..the line is always busy? Is the number even active?

If you hear a busy tone, then it’s busy. We get very high call volume. Thank you for question.

Are the different types of seafood cooked separately? Because I love seafood but I am allergic to crab.

No, it's boiled together. I'm sure it's the same water to boil other customers orders too. So if you have allergies, speak to them first to see if they can help you.

What is the best sauce to try ? First time customer?

    Blazin sauce medium !!!

Does this place have a working phone number or is their phone line blazin'!? Sadly the phone rings but never an answer. How does any food delivery service get a hold of this restaurant without ordering in person?

Personally asked a crew about this issue and they said they purposely ignore the phone when there are plenty of in-store customers

    What is in the Michelada?

Your choice of beer, clamato, chamoy, tajin and lemons

Do they sell fried crawfish or fried lobster?

No, perhaps call for a special request. The crustacean itself is on the menu but I have not seen fried.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

When we arrived, there was a group of three ahead of us, which was completely fine. Once it was our turn, one of my friends made a lighthearted joke just to lighten the mood, that's simply his personality. The hostess immediately responded with a very dry attitude, which we brushed off at first. However, things only got worse from there. As we stood there waiting, multiple groups who arrived after us were suddenly being attended to first. She was checking their IDs, writing their names down on the iPad, and letting them in before us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. We eventually approached her and asked why our IDs hadn't been checked or our names added yet. She responded by saying she had told us to wait in line, which never happened. None of us were ever directed to a line. From that point on, her tone became increasingly condescending and disrespectful. When I told her that she should speak to customers more respectfully, she mockingly grabbed her ear and said, "What? I can't hear you, it's loud in here," even though it was not loud at all. It felt extremely immature and unnecessary. She also made comments about being the "senior hostess," but honestly, that title means nothing if customers are being treated poorly. Everyone has bad days, but that does not justify taking it out on guests. My friends and I are not the type to complain or leave reviews, but the attitude and behavior we experienced were genuinely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without even going inside. Unfortunately we did not get her name. But she is a white female with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a pink and white Renaissance style outfit and distinctive floral inspired eyeliner makeup that went all the way to her hairline. I'll admit, I eventually became frustrated and felt the need to defend myself and my friends because of how we were being spoken to. I'm not proud that the interaction even reached that point, but the way we were treated felt unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and disrespectful from the beginning.

After four visits to Kubo, I felt it was only right to finally leave a Yelp review!…read moreI'm so grateful to have private room karaoke like this in Redlands! The environment is clean and so cool! I've tried both the pod and party room setups and each were perfect for the amount of people I went with. Whether you're with a group of adults or kids, this place provides a really memorable experience. They did offer military and teacher discounts the last time I visited which was new to me but offered a little savings which was appreciated. Would highly recommend Kubo. Beers and seltzers were available, as well as some easy snacks. I'll be returning again, I'm sure! Hoping they continue gift cards because they make great gifts!

We had such an amazing time that we came back again just a couple weeks later to host a separate employee party. That alone says everything. The location is super clean, smells nice and feels comfortable the moment you walk in. They have chill snacks and a great selection of songs, so there's something for everyone. For a lot of us, it was our first time doing karaoke and we had an absolute blast. Super cool that it is local to Redlands too. Everyone left talking about how much fun it was both times and how we want to go back again! If you haven't checked out Karaoke Kubo yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it
