Blind Pig is my new, favorite place! I had been wanting to try it for awhile and finally stopped in. One of my friends was in the area and wanted to head there. We had reservations. I'm glad we made them, because for 7pm on a Sunday, it was pretty crowded. I loved the ambiance and mood in the restaurant portion of Blind Pig. If you're headed here, I would highly recommend making reservations. I tried the Wagyu meatballs and chicken tacos. They were both incredibly fresh and flavorful. All three are impressive food-service-ambiance. Loved the small bites options. Tried egg rolls (both), bao buns-trio and calamari. All delectable. Had Purple Panties as choice of drink and that was delicious. I'm a huge fan on a dark, seductive space, with hints of glowing low key lighting, if you are described as a "speakeasy spot", and this location definitely offered just that. It's a social setting so noise is rarely avoided, but that would be my only real complaint, if you could even call it a complaint. Gets loud, and crowded. I suggest having reservations, as they are prioritizing for seating, and sitting closets to the focal point of the main room-fire place. Oh, we did have an added item on our bill, which didn't belong, but it was easily resolved with no hesitation. I'd recommend this spot. Try it! read more

Mediocre drinks. I suspect Alex and I got the rookie bartender. There was clearly another bartender who was in charge, giving orders, responding to questions and overseeing the bar area. He was shaking up drinks like nobody's business but unfortunately they were not for us. Alex and I ordered an old-fashioned & habanero margarita to start. I settled for the latter after being told that they do not make spicy jalapeño margaritas. While looking at the cocktail menu, Alex noticed jalapeños as an ingredient for another drink. Had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life here. Came with a party of 8. Ordered the Brisket Sandwich. My sandwich didn't show up until everyone else had already finished their dinners. No explanation from our server. When the sandwich finally did show up, it was one of the most disgusting pieces of meat that I ever ate - a slab of fatty, grisly, meat that I wouldn't have even brought home to feed to my dog. Then our waiter disappears. We had to flag down other waiters to order dessert, and even to get the check. Despite all of this, nothing was done to make it right. To add insult to injury, there was a 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill. Won't ever come back to this place again. read more

This place was a step above the rest. I came here with a party of 4 for drinks and cocktails and wow did we get more than we bargained for. Julio behind the bar took great care of us. Every cocktail we tried was delicious. We got a bit of a fireworks show with the smoked version of their old fashion. The food options were delicious. I especially loved the bao buns, mac and cheese, and sliders. The ambience is perfect. Great dim lighting and interesting decor. I really cant say enough good things about the Blind Pig. In general, I'm not impressed with the bar scene in White Plains. There are a couple that stand out to me but for the most part they're basic and uninspired. Also, many of them are attached to restaurants; while that's fine, it also leaves a huge void if you're looking for a dedicated bar/lounge to visit. That being said, you can imagine my interest was instantly piqued when I noticed The Blind Pig. After a little research, I learned that this was a speakeasy-style bar that had recently opened. That was all it took for me to make plans with one of my friends to check it out. The Blind Pig is located right off the main Mamaroneck Ave strip in downtown WP. From what I learned, this used to be an Irish pub that closed down last year and has now been reimagined by two former bartenders from the nearby Brazen Fox. The interior looks great - I was looking at some before and after pictures on their IG page and the space has been pretty much transformed. Tin ceilings, a dark color scheme, stone counter at the bar, vintage furniture - they really nailed the decor. The space is separated by a semi-partition with the bar on one side and a lounge area on the other. We got there around 8:45 - the bar was crowded but there were open seats in the lounge so we sat ourselves down. I went to the bar to grab some menus - they have a nice variety of cocktails as well as beer and wine. I had read that they were planning on offering food but I wasn't sure if they did yet - it didn't matter though since we were going to eat later on. Anyway, their cocktails were good - I had two vodka-based ones which were both creative and smooth. The $14 per cocktail price tag puts them on par with Manhattan but I felt it was worth it. Service was great; while it was crowded and only got busier while we were there, I never had a problem getting a bartender's attention - we ordered two rounds with no issues at all. If I had to give some constructive criticism, I would say that the lighting was a smidge too low for me. I get that it goes with the aesthetics, but in the lounge area it was quite dark. Additionally, they were blasting 70s and 80s music - while I normally don't mind that, it missed the mark for me when putting it against the speakeasy style they're going for. Finally, I feel the lounge area calls for table service - while the space is small enough where it wasn't too big of a deal to go up to the bar to place a drink order, it might cut down overcrowding in that area if someone was serving drinks to us instead. Overall, however, I think The Blind Pig is off to a great start. I'm almost certain the owners were tending bar, and I could really tell this is a passion of theirs. I'm really glad this place opened - they're filling a huge void in the downtown WP nightlife scene and I wish the owners nothing but the best in their new endeavor. I will definitely be back to explore this place more - great job guys! read more

A friend suggested The Blind Pig and I was pleasantly surprised to find this cozy bar. The interior is very modern and dark and well done and it has a great selection of craft cocktails. As cool as the decor and drink menu might be, this place disgusts me. As I sat at the bar, I saw the bartender repeatedly contaminate drinks. One example- He laid an ice cube on a rubber drain mat, before picking it up with his hands and placing in a customer's glass. These are the same hands he just ran through his hair and touched money and bottles with, without washing them. In my last 2 visits, I saw several other similar incidents. I won't be back. read more

He then said his favorite drink was the expresó martini (it had another name but I couldn't remember) but if he had to choose another, it would be the One Night Stand, so I ordered one of each as I was with my wife. I highly recommended the fall mule..... the subtle hints of cinnamon is what I have been missing from the crazy fall time in 2020 The Fettuccini is nothing short of excellent and the same thing goes for the porta to ravioli and the agnolotti. The cheesecake is so light and the hint of fresh bananas is a fresh take, on a traditional heavy dessert. The banana is not overpowering, so this is a great dessert for anyone... even the non-banana lovers. The cooks, the bartenders and the servers... some of the best in Westchester.. This is such a cute, quaint bar. It has very much a speakeasy vibe and you can tell that there is a maximum amount of people that can be in there at once. What I love about this place is that it's soo cozy, especially in the winter time. Every time I have ordered a drink, it's always made so delicious it's hard to stop at 1! The drink photographed is the tiramisu drink which was such a nice combination of a dessert drink. However, it was not too sweet and you definitely feel the alcohol. My bf and I visited on Sunday at 4pm, which was perfect because they weren't too busy. Take note they close the kitchen from 3 to 4pm so make your reservations around that if your looking to grab a bite. We had the thick tender pork belly bao bun which was on point all the way to the hoisin dipping sauce. The wagyu sliders were some of the best sliders I've had, the beef was flavorful and juicy with a nice sear on the outside that kept the whole thing together without getting soggy.
