Avoid. They charge $50 for what they call a charcuterie board but if you look at the picture it's literally a few slices of "French ham" which was basic cheap sliced ham from a local market. And a few slices of salami that is thinly sliced and no better quality then local market meat. Very very cheap. In all honestly I believe salami and cheese from 7/11 gas station is better quality. They charge extra for jam or nuts. Service is poor I had physically wave and make sounds to get attention while there was only 4 people in place. A true miserable, overcharged, low quality. One of the newest spots in downtown White Plains, but doesn't quite live up to the over hype. With that said it's still a good lounge spot to chill and unwind, if you can get in- it's usually jam packed because the ambiance is very well done. Dark cool vibes throughout unfortunately the spot is a little small due to its large crowd because of its popularity. Drinks are fine, food is fine, service is a tad slow considering how small it is. But that seems to be the norm in NY post COVID world where hospitality as taken a huge hit. They have a food menu, but caution as the food takes a long time to arrive. *Long review short: Owner let us go to the bar at first when it was too busy to be seated, then went up to us to kick us out, then harassed us during our walk to the door as if we did something wrong.* We've been to the blind pig on numerous occasions for date nights birthdays etc and normally have good experiences with the staff and service until we had the pleasure of dealing with one of the owners/managers with an Irish brogue who was an egocentric douchebag. One night we were meeting friends there that were finishing up dinner at a table and wanted to have a drink at the bar. We come in and ego DB explained that they couldn't give us a table and we said we're ok grabbing a drink at the bar and he made no issue of that when we said it. We walked to the end of the bar where it wasn't crowded to order, after a few minutes he comes rushing over saying that we need to leave the bar immediately and the bar is too crowded. Two guys next to us were nice enough to tell us that they're leaving soon and we could have their seats at the bar (which were not reservation seats) and DB interjects and yells no to them they can't that we need to leave?! I said no problem we'll leave and as we pass our friends at the table to let them know we're leaving and he follows us and to repeat himself about how the bar is busy (repeats his essay long spiel) as if we don't have our coats on walking out the door. Dude needs to chill the F out and remind himself that it's not like he's working for the pope nor saving lives by containing the seating arrangements at a faux speakeasy. We can be understanding of a busy night and that they need to honor reservations, we would've had no problem with them telling us we can't even go to the bar if that was stated from the beginning. The way it was handled was humiliating and we were made to feel like we were a problem by DB making a scene because he clearly can't manage his own stress levels never mind customer service. In retrospect it was a blessing as our friends that were seated for dinner said the service was horrible and multiple food items and drinks were never brought to their table. This was a really disappointing considering I used to love this place and was about to inquire about doing a private event here but they will never have our business again. read more

Went here on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. The place was very busy and rightfully so. The "host" / man by the door was very nice. Made small talk while we waited for a table. Within 10mins we were seated. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy, but its the food that makes this place what it is. We had the Wagyu Sliders, which were delicious. Really flavorful, quite big for sliders which is why they serve just 2, but definitely worth it. I also had the Chicken Tacos, which I was a bit hesitant about because they are breaded but to my surprise they were also very good! The batter is so light and crunchy is the best way. I loved them. I had two drinks, both recommended by the waiter and I was happy with both. One was called "The Grinch", first sip was a bit odd but it grew on me as I kept drinking. Sort of like a Tequila Mojito. I really liked this place when I first came here about a year ago. Fast forward to my recent visit. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and had on a track suit and sneakers as I was doing some shopping. The guy at the door tells me I can't come in because of their dress code. Another worker tells him he has to let us in because other people were inside dressed similarly. When I went inside, I saw a lady with work scrubs on and crocs. Most of the people had on regular clothing. I have no problem with a dress code but be consistent. The whole incident left a bad taste in my mouth. Just be mindful of your appearance when you come here, as they pick and choose who they let in. read more

He also didn't notify us of an automatic gratuity, so our check got fucked, and he kept running away and dragging the whole thing out. It probably took us at least 20 minutes to check out, and he said he "couldn't adjust the tip" we placed unknowingly (check wasn't finalized so that was a lie) , despite the automatic grat he gave himself after we asked to split checks in the first place. A true hidden gem tucked in the corner of white plains. This gastropub is unassuming that serves great cocktails and scrumptous food. My wife and I had the thick tender pork belly bao bun which was on point all the way to the hoisin dipping sauce. The wagyu sliders were some of the best sliders I've had, and could possibly be the best sliders in white plains. The beef was flavorful and juicy with a nice sear on the outside that kept the whole thing together without getting soggy. If the the warm greetings from the bartenders don't get you first, then the warm ambience of the place will. Came here to grab a couple drinks with my boyfriend and was quite disappointed :( This place is listed as a speakeasy however it's nothing close to it. The decor and ambience of the place is absolutely stunning however that's not the vibe that it gives off with the type of music it plays. I guess you with call this a modern version of a speakeasy?
