Food does not disappoint! Very busy but customer service has always been great. Will always go back!

Tried boiling crab about 10 years ago when they opened a location in the sgv.. Was pretty good. Serviced slow and kinda sucked and the lines super long as always . Tried it again a couple years later cause my Firends wanted it. In the years in between I've tried other places that had way better flavor. Like king crawfish or even oh crab or juicy.. Haven't been been back since. So it's been like 6 years.. Was here last week as a friend chose it as a dinner date, I regretablely said OK. Worse choice ever. This place has more pre seat rules then a fucken court room now, can't add people, late people can't come dine with you meaning a homie can't come meet u up as you're eating.. Like wtf is that. An hour time limit or something like that.. Fuck this place, the food sucked..Cajon fries drynas fuck, jumba comes inn a small ass cup with No flavor, Theres alot of staff moving fast asf but ain't doing shit really like they move fats so they don't need to get eye contact from you lts halarious. This is the type of establishment that you wish and hope goes under everytime you pass it ... Suscess really got to these people. They don't give a shit about nothing. And we are feeding thier pockets with the long ass lines waiting to go in eat thier shit and piss out ur ass for the next 2 days. I'm good never taking my money ever and who ever ask me about boiling crab I'd say fuck boiling crab. read more

Boiling Crab can be quite pricey since the seafood fluctuates and depends on market price, however for the times I have visited the Rosemead location, my go to order is 1/2 lb of Shrimp with "Shabang" spicy level and if I am feeling hungry, fried catfish as well. For the shrimp, I sometimes add corn as well. Great flavor and you feel super full after but I think actually just 1/2 lb of shrimp is enough to share amongst 2 people. There is always excess sauce, so I like pairing with rice to soak up the sauce. read more

This place didn't even seat us for a reservation that was made, we waited for almost 3 hrs then said weren't not gonna be seated. The host in the front was a trainee and left alone when we checked in. The trainer came back after we were waiting outside and called to say we weren't gonna be seated!!!!! Food is always great at the boiling crab. The one and a half pound shrimp was excellent. The 1 pound Alaskan crab legs was great too, Wish that we could get the whole crab. Unfortunately, the clams we got were mostly empty shell clams, Maybe because it was before closing. Store is already closed and can't even call them. read more

The weight was a bit outrageous at 3 1/2 hours, although you could beat this weight with a yelp reservation. Although the food was perfectly seasoned, and the surface was flawless. We were provided with lemons, salt and pepper, and any sides that we requested. Tiptop service and food. read more

My shrimp came out cold the fries was very stale my girlfriend wings that came out 30 minutes later after my food was brought to the table & came out burnt asked for a new batch of fries and wings and I was denied. So we just left after talking to the manager. Waited an hour to be let down. I recommend shrimp ahoy on live oak and peck shrimp are actually huge and worth it instead of dealing with nonsensical employees!! read more

Ordered -2lbs of medium sha bang crawfish (frozen/MP) since they ran out of frozen... -2lbs of clams medium sha bang - fried soft shell crab w Cajun fries. Left the house to make sure we get to the restaurant before it's done but apparently our food was done within 10 mins even though they said 15-20 mins. By the time we got home, food was cold, soft shell crab was cold and fries were soggy and they were cheap on giving fries.. Usually we order spicy but this time went medium and it was hella spicy fir some reason... it's a hit or miss on the spicy level. Overall, I rather dine in than order take out. If I can put zero review I will. the manager LIZA is horrible didnt help and solve my problem. She was saying on the phone that they check for the quality control. The shrimp with all the flavors was great and corn was nice and cooked well. Loved the flavoring. The only reason I give only 4 was because the servers were not attentive, though understandably it was a Saturday night, they might have been more attentive to those ordering to-go just at least to get rid of them waiting at the register. A classic in the SGV! I love the convenience of placing to go orders here! I always call in and they text you when it's ready to be picked up. My favorite things to order include: shrimp, mussels (shabang mild), cajun fries, soft shelled crab basket, and their lemon pepper wings- you can't go wrong with any of these! The servers are always friendly and helpful. The wait time for dine in can be quite busy so I recommend going right when they open. read more

I had a good experience with this location's take-out process during COVID-19! The location I usually order from was not picking up calls/having phone difficulties but when I decided to call Rosemead I had no problems at all. I recommend calling ahead. It took about 30 minutes from when I placed my order on the phone to receive my food! There's two lines - one for orders and one for pick up. When I went on a weekend night the line for ordering was much longer than the pick-up line, plus people waiting in their car for their orders. After placing your order they send you a text message when your order is ready so you can fall in line for pick-up. They only allow a certain amount of customers to order and pay and pick up their food. They also give you bibs and table covers with your order! My usual is 1 pound of shrimp whole shabang mild and it was just how I like it this time around - saucy and not overcooked, making it easy to peel the shrimp. =P There's times when the sauce is watery or they don't give you eough sauce, it really just depends the day you come. There's plenty of cajun seafood places in the area, but you definitely can't beat the original! I'm glad to see they're still in business during these unpredictable times. read more

Took my Fiancé here for the first time and she loved it. The Host, and our server gave excellent customer service. We were able to enjoy a college football game and sip on our beers while the food was being prepared. I love boiling crab and was super craving it but I was really disappointed in this location. I came on a Friday night to this location because it's bigger than the one in Alhambra so I'd assume the wait time would be less but I regret coming here. I ended up having to wait over 1.5 hours and it was freezing cold outside cause of the rain. My friend and I wanted to give up and leave and go eat like McDonalds and stuff cause it was DEFINITELY NOT WORTH WAITING THAT LONG for the things that we had to deal with. Service here was iffy to me. There were 2-3 girls dealing with the seating and I thought one of the girl was kinda rude. She had an attitude when we asked how much longer we would need to wait AND she told us to not wait inside because we were starting to block the door. I mean yeah that's fine, but it's cold af outside and there were other people waiting inside too that she didn't tell. How rude. 1.5 hours of waiting later...we were finally seated down and one of the servers, I didn't get her name was really nice and sweet that took our order cause our actual server was on break. So we ordered cajun fries, one 1/2 lb shrimp each for me and my friend. WE WAITED FOREVER for our food. Our server kept coming back to us saying "our food was coming out" but it never did. Tables that were seated AFTER us got our food before us and when we asked another server where our food was because we noticed other people getting food before us, she was so rude and gave us attitude that "some foods takes a longer time than others". But we overheard what the table next to us ordered and it was basically the same thing we ordered, and we told her time too and she still gave us attitude. After wondering like 15 minutes where our food went, our original server had to go back to the kitchen and actually wonder where our food went. Apparently our food got mixed up with some other table's and they gave it to some other table. My friend and I were super pissed at that time cause we had plans afterwards and places to be. Our food finally came and honestly, everything about this night was just a disappointment. I know Boiling Crabs have long waits but the service wasn't worth the food. Originally, they were going to give us another cajun fries for free but at that point, we weren't hungry anymore. The manager came to our table and apologized and gave us one of our half pound for free. That was extremely kind of him but the next time I'm craving for Boiling Crab, I'm either ordering to-go or going to the one in Alhambra. read more

My first time going to this location and I ordered a medium bag of the "whole Shabang" with: 1/2 pound of shrimp, (7$ for half pound or 14$ a pound) 1/2 lb of sausage (10 pieces) (5$) 1 corn (1.25) 3 potatoes. (2.50) I did a to-go order and the wait was actually pretty ridiculous (I waited about 30 minutes plus) to be fair, it was the day after a holiday so I'll let it slide. The manager was really nice, but they had no menus so I had to look it up up my phone (annoying) but the food was GREAT. And that's for the most part, what matters, right? lol 20$ a bag and I'd honestly pay it again. Having been obsessed with a location of a different restaurant in San Diego (Crab Pub) that does cajun eat and peel shrimp, we decided to give this place a go. Not going to lie we were ready to compare which one was better. We got the sweet potato fries and mild peel and eat shrimp with the whole work seasoning! My favorite of the two were the perfectly crisp sweet potato fries. They actually had the flavor of biting into a baked sweet potato! The shrimp was shrimp, I mean could you possibly ever even say anything bad about shrimp. Yet the mild was not spicy enough, if you like spicy definitely go for medium or hotter! The shrimp wasn't as Cajun flavorful for our liking it was missing some more kick.
