My family and I ended up watching a movie at the Cinemark theatres at the Santa Fe Station. Afterwards, on our way back to the parking garage, my daughter had saw the desserts offered by the Grand Cafe inside the Santa Fe Station casino and wanted to pick up a few. The Grand Cafe as a sit down restaurant, primarily breakfast items, but we decided to just pick up sweets instead. Outside the restaurant area, The Grand Cafe has their sweets on display. After reviewing the wide variety of cookies, brownies, cakes, and much more, we selected the following - 1) The chocolate frosted donut. 2) The Salted Caramel Brownie 3) The M&M sugar cookie The Salted Caramel Brownie was good. The Caramel was on-top of the brownie. Inside the brownie, contained a wide variety of nuts baked into the brownie. It was pretty good! The brownie was soft, not gooey. The M&M sugar cookie was hard and tasted stale. The M&Ms were the mini-kind baked inside the cookie. My daughter didn't particularly care for it. The chocolate frosted donut was also stale with the frosted coating on-top. The donut wasn't light and fluffy. The desserts costed approximately $8.00. This used to be one of the great breakfast spots for locals. Located inside the Santa Fe casino, it is your standard Cafe fare. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is decent, nothing phenomenal to go out of your way for. The coffee is fresh and hot, the food is a well. But.... Gone are the specials. You used to be able to get a quick and decent meal here for a few bucks. Not so much any more. They changed the name, it used to be called the Grand Cafe, but nothing changed but the name and the pricing. The food and decor are the same. read more

service was good... the servers are nice... food wise? i'm not a fan of cafes in the casino most of the time it's not good... we got prime rib and NY steak both was ok nothing special missing a lot of flavors on the meat, we used A1 and Worcestershire sauce... overload bake potato was ok potatoes was still kinda hard, mashed potatoes was ok too basic gravy.. appetizer was good calamari came out hot and fresh, i think they should have some marinara sauce the white aioli sauce was good too refreshing but would have be nice to have the basic sauce with it... Shrimp cocktail was good can't go wrong i guess unless the shrimp wasn't fresh, could have been a Jumbo shrimp maybe then it would be perfect. cheesecake was ok was hard not creamy and soft like you would expect. the tiramisu was good not over powering the bread was also hard like it's old. read more

I hadn't been to Santa Fe in years and the last time I came to this cafe it was called the Grand Cafe... I wasn't expecting the food to be this good! I ordered the roasted turkey club with bacon and lettuce, my father ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The fries were very crispy and tasty and not soggy and sad. My sandwich was HUGE and tasted delicious. The roasted turkey was more of a turkey patty but was still great. My dad's sandwich tasted good but was just a little small. Absolutely disappointed with Brass Fork. I've been coming here for years and tonight made me want to never come back. After putting my name on a long waitlist another party was able to come and take our table once it was available. Once another table was available to accommodate our large party they sat us right next to the other party. We watched at they had drinks and food served before us when they weren't even on the waitlist. The waiter being friendly is the only good thing I can say about this visit. read more

Saul, our server was the best! Very professional, and polite, and he was attentive. Karen helped my wife with her keno, she was very helpful. This was my first time eating here, What can I say? the portion size was just right, the flavor was great, and they had all of the extras we need, Tabasco, GRAPE JELLY! I know... it's been hard for us to find lately, anyway, this was my first time eating here, and the food was amazing! The customer service is the same, it's been a while since we had a good breakfast. First of all, want to say the new board pass special burger is such a amazing deal, and reminds me of how casinos would treat their guests back when I was a kid coming vegas for family vacations. The food is ok that is not my complaint so to speak I bought a black and white cookie after spending way too much $$$ for the food. The woman at the register put the cookie directly into the bag without wrapping it. The chocolate spread to the bag and the cookie itself was hard as a rock. I couldn't eat it even after putting it in the microwave to warm up. Not to mention the fact that the chocolate was covering the inside of the bag. Not very sanitary I might add! Let me first give a huge shout out to Sandra! She gave us the best service we have had anywhere in a very long time! 5 stars for her!!!Friendly & efficient. Never once did we have to ask for a drink refill or to have dirty plates pulled. We didn't have to ask for anything, actually. She predicted our needs in advance. The food was good, as it usually is. The only reason for the 4 stars is the price point on some items. For instance, I feel the nachos are a great value. The chicken wings, however, are quite steep. 14.99 for 8 small wings. Also, the add-on of 4.99 for side salad to an already decently priced entree is a bit steep as well. read more

3/17/2024, Saint Patrick Day. We have always had a good meal here but today I went to have the corn beef and cabbage. Was really disappointed with the meal today. Came out and the presentation was a little shocking. The meat was way overcooked, tuff, very chewy and it came out with a gravy on it. Small portions too. Waiter came by and asked how things were tasting. Told him about the meat so he went back to kitchen to check what was going on. Came back and chef said management told them to bake the corn beef. No way to cook it. Management needs to look up recipes. Wife had her usual Chinese Chicken Salad but this time it was even off. Used to have breakfast here a couple of times a month. It has gotten worse and worse. Today was the last straw. If you overload a spinach omelet you are going to make eggs with slime. That's what she got. Poor communication from wait staff to kitchen. Manager was indifferent. When I asked for them to just bring her a scrambled egg we would pay for it. They brought her a powered egg. It's awful. Santa Fe or rather station casinos has gotten worse and worse. Not coming to stations anymore. For sure not eating at the brass fork ever again. Revisited the Brass Fork a couple of nights ago with neighbors. We had eaten there months ago and did not enjoy it but thought we would give it one more try. I'm sorry Brass Fork, your food is just bad. 2 of us had the turkey dinner. The entire plate of otherwise tasteless food was drowning in gravy. One of us had the chicken teriyaki bowl - chicken not good and pickled vegetables terrible. Last diner had chicken parmesan. Red sauce tasted just like canned Spaghetti O's... Not a good thing. Server was nothing less than rude. It seemed our questions and comments to him were bothering him. Lastly, to add insult to injury, our bad food and poor service was expensive. The Brass Fork at Santa Fe Station has become one of the worst restaurants in Northwest Las Vegas. Against my better judgment, my wife suggested we give this place another try. I ordered Chinese Chicken Salad, There was very, very little chicken in the salad, and what was there was not edible. Each piece of chicken was like a small rock. I took two pieces of the chicken and showed it the waitress and asked her to show it to the chef. Any chef that serves a dish like that should be doing something else for a living. I told the cashier of my experience. She called the Manager who I believe checked with the waitress and removed the Asian Chicken Salad off my bill. The Santa Fe is conveniently close to my home and in the past we frequently visited. At that time I was a Chairman now I am a President and will soon lose President status. Nobody was at the front podium when we approached the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign, so we waited a while and watched other people get served. We noticed that not many people were working, even the employees that were there were just standing around, talking to each other. They finally asked if we could wait a minute to be seated, and we complied. After still not being seated for several more minutes, one of the bus boys finally decided that he would sit us down. I thanked him and said that we were going to need some water right away, because we just came in from the heat outside and we had waited quite a while. So, we sat there and we waited, and then we waited some more. After waiting some more, we then again waited. After several servers walked right by us and pretended like we didn't even exist, we finally decided to get out of there. That was our entire experience at the restaurant. We had a movie to go to at the property, and would have had plenty of time to have a nice relaxed meal. But, they just weren't having it, so neither were we. read more

Well intentioned with re branding and changing their name to Brass Fork and upping their game on a higher-class presentation of food, they have missed the mark in my opinion. It's obvious they brought in a very good chef to class up the menu a bit, but when the chef leaves it's up to cooks to execute at a much higher level. That's hard to do in suburbs of Las Vegas. I had the Eggs Benedict with high expectations. It was just ok to say the least. They still cannot manage to keep hollandaise sauce hot enough, and the putting on sour doe bread is really not the best idea. I also ordered a few breakfast sandwiches to bring to mom's house, thinking at $12.00 buck a pop, they would be good. Stay away from this menu item. They all bragged about how the sausage patty was freshly made in house. It is, but when it's overcooked, it comes out like a hamburger. Needless to say, mom and I ended up tearing it apart to get to the portions that were more breakfast like. Yes, on the house potatoes over hash browns. They also removed all the early AM breakfast specials. Why? Needless to say, I will be back until I can figure out what to order. Should have walked out when I tried the water. They must believe quantity makes a difference but they're wrong when the water has a slimy nasty aftertaste that would kill a fish. I also thought it would be difficult to mess up fettuccine Alfredo but boy was I wrong. The sauce was bland as hell and I'm sure no amount of any spice would have made it any better. The pasta was over cooked. The sauce had lumps of who-the-hell knows what. Have you ever had something and thought "wow, that tastes just like chicken" even though it wasn't chicken? Well, I've now experienced the opposite of that experience. The chicken on the chicken Alfredo fettuccine had absolutely no taste. (We tend to not send food back with our complaints) On the positive side the fish portions were very generous. We did inform the waitress as we were leaving though.
