I love this place! It is the perfect go to place for watching a game, unwinding after work, or hanging with friends. The appetizers are hand breaded or crafted such as fried Mozz, coconut shrimp, brass cheese balls. The bruschetta, Ahi tuna take it over the top. The crab cake is the best in the Lou, better than Bristol. Scott has amazing specials every night including a fresh catch which is always unique and well prepared. Their hand cut steaks are divine. The gem is the prime sirloin. THE BEST PART OF THE RAIL is the service. The servers treat you like family, and are very attentive. The best place is the Bar where the bartenders will give solid recommendations for a specialty drink, craft beer suggestion, or off menu food ideas. First time visit on a Saturday evening, it was busy and noise level high. Decor was nice. Waitress was friendly and attentive. She mentioned they were known for their steaks first, seafood second. So, not being much of a meat eater, I opted for the Salmon with side of potatoes and broccoli. My dinner companions ordered potato skins and buffalo chicken pasta. My salmon and broccoli were lukewarm. One of my companions said her pasta was not warm enough, so it was returned to kitchen. It was returned quickly and was still not warm. The manager opted to remove this from the bill. The other companion loved her potato skins and said they were great. When we received the bill, the pasta was charged, so we had to return it to waitress to get fixed. Overall, we left disappointed and decided to go elsewhere for our dessert. read more

My family has eaten at The Brass Rail several times now, with mixed results. Atmosphere is always lively, staff from what I remember, usually friendly, and accommodating. The food however, can go either way. Last night, I was accompanied by my 3 daughters. The 2 children's meals were simple Mac and cheese, and garlic noodles. They were both fine. I had the fish tacos, which for whatever reason, were seasoned with what seemed to be a heavy layer of Cajun seasoning. Cajun seasoning does not go with a Mexican dish, and it overwhelmed the taste of the salsa, and guac. The fish was also a bit chewy, and over cooked, as were the tortillas. The salsa was obviously from a jar. My oldest daughter commented that she felt her grilled Salmon was just the opposite, and undercooked. It was ordered medium. The food was not bad enough to make a big deal out of with the waiter, but also just not that great. Perhaps it is just a "fish thing". I am sure that with the limited amount of quality sit down restaurants in the area, we will try The Brass Rail again in a few months, hopefully with better results. We will avoid the fish. read more

Not impressed. We went there for lunch and had burgers (was told it was a great burger joint). While the burger was just average, the service was less than great. It took quite a while for our server to acknowledge us and take our orders. He didn't write the order down and asked us 3 different times what it was (please just write it down!). When the food finally came out, our server wasn't even the one who brought it to us. We had to ask another server for drink refills during the course of our meal because our server didn't come back around. Not in a hurry to go back. read more

Recently tried the Brass Rail and had a wonderful experience. Food was amazing (especially the smoked wings and sautéed spinach) and the service was phenomenal which speaks to Jessica with her friendly and attentive customer service skills- she has only been there a few weeks but knew the menu and made recommendations, brought out a sample of the slaw, and basically went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Place was fairly busy. We ordered a burger, Cuban, meatloaf and a sirloin steak. Drinks took awhile. Burger was good, Cuban was just so so. Meatloaf was weird and wasn't very hot, though the onion straws were very good, no veg, weird. Steak took forever and given different excuses but was very good when it finally came. Place looks good but food wasn't great and slow considering the price. Drinks were weak. I'd go back but for a beer and burger only. read more

The Brass Rail has expanded their seating capacity since I was last there. Dinner rush was about a 30 to 45 minute wait. We grabbed a couple of martinis at the bar to pass the time. Cocktails were good. The jalapeño cheese bites were a little above average. Unfortunately they were out of their fresh mozzarella. Chicken and shrimp pasta was very good. The steak wrap had good flavor but was poorly wrapped. We will try it again. read more

My wife and I enjoyed a great dinner at the Brass Rail. It was a Sunday evening around 5:00pm. We were seated right away and greater by our server immediately. I ordered the grilled shrimp with rice, steamed broccoli and Caesar salad. My wife chose the grilled chicken with rice, steamed broccoli and house salad. Meals were prepared and served in less than fifteen minutes and both meals were excellent. Perfectly prepared and flavorful. Even better was the service by Brittany B. Her openness, suggestions, and service made us feel welcome along with ensuring we would have an enjoyable experience at The Brass Rail.
