The brass tap is one of my favorite breweries in McKinney. They have a good selection of beers and great rotation of seasonal brews. The food is just as good. Me and my wife love sharing the hot honey pepperoni pizza! The brass tap also does music bingo on the weekdays which makes date night during the week an easy choice ! I've accidentally ordered this Brass Tap twice, maybe three times through Uber Eats. That's by accident due to me closing the app and opening it back up, then forgetting to check to make sure the Allen location is selected instead of the McKinney (they're both close). I don't know what the difference is between the Allen and McKinney location is, but you guys gotta send the cooks/chefs from the Mckinney location to the Allen location so they can take some notes. I ordered brisket tacos tonight. No one wants the very center of the pickled onion, sliced on top of their brisket. At least take the time to break up the many layers if so? What cojita cheese? It was a very light dusting.. almost like what you wake up to in north Texas, when you were told you'd get 3-6" of snow over night before you wake up in the morning. Aside from that, the one sauce added to my tacos (there's only once sauce stated so this correct) was two horizontal stripes of spicy mayo perpendicular to the long ways shape of the taco..? The last time I accidentally placed an order through Uber Eats, to this location.. I ordered fish and chips. Holy cow! Go get the same fryer and batter (maybe even fish) from the Allen location and put in this store. Because a fan favorite at that location in Allen is not even close to comparable from this location in McKinney, with or without ordering it. At least throw some napkins in your food orders too. $22.72 on two tacos with chips and overly saturated in cilantro salsa before a tip is crazy, as is. read more

I normally don't leave ratings for restaurants unless I found something there that is to die for and their "The Biggy BBQ Mac Burger" is just that! I love a good burger and that was worth it. My husband and I stopped in to grab a beer and food and watch basketball at dinner time. Third time to this restaurant. Food and Beer was good my husband likes the wings and I got the tap salad. The only reason I am not rating this higher is because the music was blaring and it was hard rock heavy metal. I would not have minded it if was at a level we could still hold a conversation but it was loud. My husband asked our waitress who chooses the music trying to give a hint and she said the bartender needless to say it was not turned down. We just ate quickly and left. read more

Went in this last Sunday for the first time. We had high expectations as we've enjoyed several other Brass Taps over the years. Unfortunately we had to walk out after sitting for 10 minutes without acknowledgement. Manager/Owner was just chit chatting with another worker at the end of the bar. I got up and waved at several servers and the Manager/Owner but they looked right past me. There was another couple who came in a few minutes after us and they looked frustrated as well. Came in for lunch on a Sunday with my group of four. It's an open seating concept so we found a place to sit and waited to be greeted. It seems like the servers are assigned tables at random as they're walking around from one side of the room to the other waiting tables. We waited about 10-15 mins to be greeted while being walked by. Took another 10 to get our fountain drinks. We placed our food order and after 25mins, half our group got their food while the others did not. No update from our server either. Two of use were able to completely finish our meal while the others were still waiting! At that point we had enough of that place and asked to pay for what we received and canceled the remaining order. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told there wasn't one available. No Manager available on a Sunday for a newly opened restaurant?! The wait staff was truly awful, but I don't blame them. I solely blame management for poor training. read more

I'm a firm believer that sharing positive experiences and reviews help businesses like this Brass Tap recognized the positive impact they have on our community along with the customers that eat and drink here. My experience as a solo diner was extremely memorable. As soon as I walked into the building I was greeted immediately with a sincere welcome. I sat at the bar and the bartender gave me space while staying attentive. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED that the beer selection was not aligned with the nearby restaurants......infact, it was a TRUE craft beer experience. The list included medal award winning beers as well as beers I know are allocated and hard to find....yes, I AM A BEER NERD, LOL. The burger was huge (I also added extras inside) and was cooked spot-on. Truffle fries and pot stickers were a hit as well. The manager Eric came by to check on me and that was the icing on the cake. He was easy to talk to, sincere, and you could tell his heart was there in this restaurants success. He invited me to a couple upcoming events that they apparently host often. I'll be back with the fam soon, and will also be inviting my co-workers for drinks after work. 10 out of 10.....this place is a VIBE! read more

We went to the brass tap today around 2:30. We weren't greeted upon entry but Natalie was quick to take care of us! She took our order very quickly and had our food out just as fast. She was very attentive and helpful. We had the pretzel and cheese curds to begin. Both were amazing. It wasn't too loud but some of the largest TV wasn't working. Glad I don't care about football.
