Heard good things about this restaurant wanted to try it. The food was amazing. Upon walking in was immediately greeted. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Due to social distancing there is only four tables inside but there are tables outside as well. Would definitely dine here again. read more

The service was excellent, my husband ordered the meat's omelette and even though I tend to not be a fan of sausage, it was yummy! My daughter ordered the mexican eggs and it had pieces of serrano chile that made the breakfast plate 10x better. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was pretty solid, the size of the food was gigantic. Perfect for after a workout. Great dinner! My family and I will be coming back. read more

I came here to try the breakfast board for my travel blog. Unfortunately at $46 you need a group for this item, and they do not offer single boards. I tried to order parts of the board in a combo plate such as the French toast and eggs combo. No substitutions no customizations. The flambe French toast was a disappointing sauce. (Found myself thinking about the caramelized waffle and egg combo I had at Denny's the weekend before lol) But what really got me bummed out was it was 85 degrees outside and I asked for a cup of water for my dog. Other humans were getting to-go cups for their water and juice so I figured it was a normal ask. They told me they didn't have any. I said a plastic cup would be fine even though it's narrow, my dog can easily drink out of it. I didn't realize but they charged me 50 cents for her cup. I eat all around North County and I've never been charged for this. Overall, popular place for a no frills diner type place, if you're into that, but life's too short to not enjoy frills, and accommodating service. read more

The food is excellent! There are some very unique items on the menu that I have tried and enjoyed very much. The Breakfast Waffle is awesome. The coffee is smooth. The ambiance is on par with most other breakfast places. The service is good and I only have one minor criticism. The servers are very attentive to keeping your coffee mugs full of coffee but if you have water or soda you'll need to send a flare out to get someone's attention. This will not keep me from coming back. read more

Decided to try this place on on our way home, thanks to the 4 star Yelp review and the promising menu. I ordered the Duck Breast Benedict which looked delicious but tepid or barely lukewarm. I ate the first one and it was just okay. I had been fasting for over 12 hours for a blood test and was starving. The second one had a hair in it. I just cut the piece off and decided not to make a fuss. My mother's order came with fries which I had some and it was also tepid. The side options are kind of lame. In fairness, our server was not too bad. Needless to say, will not be eating here again. I wish I had taken the few extra minutes to drive to Beach Break Cafe or Don's Country Kitchen. Tried and true and never disappoints. read more

We have noticed this place, having driven by it often. Finally decided to give it a try. First off for a sunday morning, the music was blaring some tenage hip hop, not attractive for a sunday morning. Who chooses the music???? We had to ask for flatware, because the waitress, that clearly was not seasoned just wanted our order. The food came, it was decent, but not enough to take me back. Word to the owner, get a new and clued in server, maybe thats harsh, I know good help is hard to find, but for the love of sunday mornings dont let the teenager select your music....holy moly.... read more

Judging by the reviews, wait time can be a problem here. We called ahead to ask about the wait time on a holiday morning and was pleasantly surprised to hear that they were pretty open with no wait. We arrived shortly after with two parties ahead of us and had about a 10 minute wait. They also had a sign out front that unapologetically stated that they will not rush. There were open tables, but the delay seems to be due to the staffing shortage, maybe? Either way, we luckily did not have much of a wait and our food arrived in a timely manner. Pancakes were really good, although they came drizzled in condensed milk which I wasn't expecting and don't like, so if that's not your thing make sure to mention omitting it. Overall, a decent spot for breakfast in the area as long as you're not in a rush. read more

I've been driving by this place for a year almost daily and I have wanted to try it for so long. Finally got to get in here early on a Saturday morning. Great food. I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, hash downs, and cottage cheese. There is an option to add pork loins, but I asked to add their Canadian ham because it looked good in other pictures. The ham was indeed good. For $4 to add on they gave me three good size medallions. Good cuts of meat. Food came out pretty quick and it was hot and fresh. The coffee is always hot and full of flavor - just like the food! Fresh, hot, and delicious meals, whether you are looking for sweet s'mores pancakes, coconut banana waffles, or Nutella strawberry French toast this little spot does not disappoint. My husband loves the breakfast burrito or the San Diego omelette with bacon, spinach, sour cream, avocado, & onions. I personally love the Ranchero Eggs, because the eggs are amazing! Very bad customer service from management Aka owner. Portions are small, specially hash browns not even the size of a whole potato. The biscuits and gravy are not good at all, also the chilaquiles are soggy, also our side didn't come out on time with our food aka our fries and guacamole until 20 min after received our food. Spoke to the owner and his approach to the situation was rude and un professional in an owners aspect. I Explained to the owner some of the compliant, his resolution was don't worry about the bill and just don't come back again and thats the way this restaurant is, and u don't have to leave a tip!! I Don't mind paying but it was my first time here with a bad impression..Will never go back!! Wish the best and I left the waitress a 20$ tip!! read more

Had seen this place for a while and finally tried it today. It's a cute and clean spot. The menu was more extensive than I had imagined. Coffee was above average and hot - good start. There were two servers and the place was busy, so service was a bit rushed but professional. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. The salmon was a bit dry, eggs were over cooked (yolk was not runny), and the hollandaise was lacking acid. Got a breakfast burrito to go - heavy on the potatoes, but salsa was rated good. I'll go back and give the place another try - it is local and I support local, but will order different items. read more

Wow, terrible. Ten minutes before being acknowledged by waiter to get a table. Coffee was the worst I've had...ever. Fifteen minutes for him to take our order, Twenty fives more minutes to get food. Breakfast was minimally acceptable. Eggs undercooked, cheese in omelette not melted...like a bad Dennys. I'll pass on this place in the future. read more

This place is alright, not spectacular but simply put alright. I have to say the "welcome" sign is a bit off putting it states that they will not rush food or service and thank you for your patience. Which I get! I don't want under cooked food but when that's your greeting coming in it tells me they have an excuse ready to go if you're not happy. So that's out of the way, we ordered the ranchero eggs and the breakfast burrito. The potatoes in our burrito weren't cooked, which kinda tells me they rushed?! Our food was dropped off from someone other than our server and he never came back to check on us or we would have let him know but I wasn't going to go inside and make a big stink out of undercooked potatoes especially with your sign saying they won't be rushed and be patient with the people who showed up to work... Anywho, the ranchero eggs are spicy! They do have a pepper to let you know but dang be prepared. After being finished for a bit and still nobody coming back out I went inside to get the check and pay. We won't be headed back anytime soon, I have to say I love the name of the restaurant but that's not enough to get us back in. read more

Stopped by for our first time today. There was a waiting list and though they said 30 minutes wait time, it ended up being much shorter. Service was excellent in every way and our veggie omelettes were delicious. I like all the side options that go with the omelette including refried or black beans. Prices are very reasonable and oh yes! we will go back again. read more

I've been to Yard House several times over the years, including last night. It's in a great spot at…read morethe mall near the movie theater, and there's plenty of parking plus lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff has always been friendly, and it's definitely a fun place to meet up for drinks. But honestly, I really don't understand the hype around the food here. I don't think I've ever actually liked a meal I've ordered, let alone loved one. Every time I give it another chance, I leave disappointed. Last night I ordered the steak bowl and it had almost no flavor. It also came with a ton of large broccoli stems that were undercooked and woody. For $25, it just wasn't worth it. At this point, if I come back, it'll probably only be for drinks or maybe happy hour apps.

Don't even get me started on the free super hot bread with that yummy butter and those fried pickle appetizers. I don't know what I was thinking getting the full rack of ribs after stuffing my face with free bread and peanuts and that appetizer. I could only eat 1/3 the rack but the rest of the rack made for excellent lunch the next day.
