Bountiful Baskets Food Co op - Regular basket :)

This review will be very similar to the one I wrote for the Valle Vista location…read more This is such a wonderful way to get fresh produce in the middle of the desert. It is a food co-op, so every contributor's dollar put in is distributed and given back to the whole group. The organization does not profit from doing this. It is run strictly by volunteers who enjoy sharing their love of fresh produce. There are a few pick up locations in Kingman. During the A week, there are two sites; the Kingman Academy of Learning Primary School and the Cedar Hills Elementary School. On the B weeks (meaning, every other week), there is a pick up site at the Valle Vista Golf Course. The directions to KAOL are as follows: It is near Stockton Hill Road / Airway Avenue intersection. From I-40 take Stockton Hill Road North. Make a Right on Airway. Make a Right on Burbank Street. The School is on the Left before Centennial Park. It is in the parking lot area right in front of the primary school. The one at KAOL is definitely more busy. There are two lines while you wait, split by last names. If you ordered an organic pack, you get to skip the long line and pick up your basket in the very front. The site at Valle Vista is less crowded and picking up is a breeze. Your order confirmation number is required for pick up, so I would definitely not leave this at home or not saved on your phone. Also, don't forget to bring bags or boxes to carry your produce home in. I have participated in this program 4 times and have loved each and every basket I'e received. In addition to the regular basket of 50% fruit/50% vegetables, you can add on any of the special offerings for that week. In the past, I've added on a box of Ataulfo Mango, a Guacamole pack (includes ingredients to make guac), and a tropical pack (mango, plantain, coconut, vanilla beans). As I mentioned earlier, this program is run by volunteers. So if you have a free hour on one of your weekends, definitely consider helping out. I thought it was pretty easy. All you do is unload the food truck when it comes, help distribute the fruit/veggies into baskets, and/or help check people in when they come to pick up their basket. The End! Anyone of any age can help and you can to have an extra fruit/veggie at the end as a reward for your volunteerism. A great resource to get all the details about this program is on their website. Make sure to check it out before you get involved. Really, I absolutely love this program and am so happy a place like Kingman offers it. I would recommend it to anyone wanting fresh produce at a great price. I'm pretty sure I'm addicted as I like surprises and it is a present each week to see what is offered in the basket. May your baskets be bountiful!

I was talking to a co-worker the other day and she said the same thing. The bananas stayed green for WEEKS until they suddenly went black. The pineapple went moldy within days. The corn on the cob? It had black grubby worms when I peeled back the husk!! (Bleached the whole fridge, and that was the last straw!) The other reviewer is also very accurate, though. The good things about BB are very good! You get a lot for your money and it introduces you to new foods (like dragon fruit, daikon radishes, rainbow carrots) and makes you get creative. But I personally couldn't stand sending so much food to the dumpster because there's no telling how fresh it really is.

Shared with Cassie my need for a propane tank and propane to run my Generac to refill my lithium batteries when the sun isn't shining. She immediately gave me the contact information for John and told me if we did do so something she would be the driver servicing my Ferrell Gas Account. Was very impressed with the prompt response from John. He was very informative and understood my needs and gave me a quote for a solution. Today the last Ferrell Gas team member, Scott, just left my property. He showed this morning ready for the install and a "can do" attitude about to how to make the install work best for me. I appreciated Scott's patience in making sure everything including the generator was operational before leaving the property, So very pleased with the whole process and Ferrell Gas team I just asked John for another quote for another propane tank or two to do other things on the property.

These folks are without a doubt, great to work with…read more We had a late delivery on an electric range and microwave. The microwave was installed professionally and quickly. When plugging in the range, the receptacle shorted out and tripped all the breakers including the main condo breaker for our unit. I had Hi Desert return the stove due to concerns that the electric short may have damaged the range. These folks tried to find a solution. The next day Nevada Electric and an electrician From Robinson Electric had the problem fixed before 9:30 A.M. The main breaker for our Condo would not reset. The Electrician tried to find a replacement breaker. However, he tapped the breaker releasing, sand and dirt. He tested the breaker and it worked. Problem solved. Contacted Jimmy at Hi Desert and suggested ordering new range instead of taking a chance with having issues with the one that was involved with the sparking receptacle. These are great folks to work with and Home Depot Hi Desert Delivery will soon have more of our business. Great job all the way around.
