I had the Vietnamese burger.

Burgers are all wagu very flavorful. I had the Vietnamese burger which was very good and my son had the Napa. Home made onion rings.

Hidden in the corner of a strip mall, Burger Palace both fascinates me and perplexes me for being a place that one would never expect in the Galleria. If one wasn't looking, it's a little too easy to miss. It's not exactly run down, but it's certainly far from being well maintained. The vibes are on par was something I'd see on on Kitchen Nightmares, and it got to a point where I genuinely considered that I was being pranked or trolled on a TV show. When I first arrived, it was empty. It was so quiet that I actually thought the place was closed but one of the owners (?) came out slowly and was at the counter. While I perused the menu, I couldn't help but notice the interior is falling apart. There were holes in the ceiling, water dripping in different parts of the restaurant (#1), drooping light fixtures, holes in the ceilings, and lights that were obviously out. The tables were a bit grimy and it got to a point where I decided while looking at the menu that I was going to do takeout instead. The Man behind the counter seemed a tad off. He moved at a snail's pace and was grunting constantly. It reminded me of a movie character or something out of a cartoon because it felt so exaggerated yet. This only added to the vibe of the place, which was starting to feel incredibly random. I ordered a handful of things: their Swiss bacon bleu burger, the ultimate grilled cheese, a trio of their fries (truffle, rosemary, and sweet potato), chicken taco, and pulled pork taco. An older Asian lady was preparing the food and by the time everything was ready, I was so starved that I had contemplated eating it on their outdoor patio. I eventually found an outdoor table nearby with my dining companions and we dug in. And to my surprise, the burger was tasty. The medium rare was on point and the bacon with bleu cheese was quite good. The same went for the fries, which were all crispy and well seasoned. My group found the tacos to be the least appealing, as the meats weren't up to par and generally left a lot to be desired. While it wasn't what I had expected on both ends of the spectrum (dingy decor, tasty food), this is still an experience that is as memorable as it gets. I wouldn't rule out a return in the near future just to see how thing are going and hopefully to be the recipient of some of their other burgers that I've yet to try. __________ (#1) Turns out the plants were collecting water. Wow.

The Burger Palace is well worth your time to visit and enjoy a delicious burger and fries. I was very impressed with how amazing and delicious the food was. The fountain soda is also on point. The staff was very friendly and took my order right away. The food was seved quickly and is much more food than I expected. I had to grab a to go box since it was hard to finish all the food. Be prepared to take large bites the burger is that big. Also try to come early or later since lines can get crazy during normal lunch hours. The inside of the restaurant is very nice. It has a cozy feel with a wood finish on almost everything. Stop by today and try this palace for yourself.

I was desperately searching for some cow protein after being vegan all week. Yesterday was a hot day and being out in the sun at a festival all day caused me to crave for burgers. I pulled in at my usual burger place parking lot and started searching for something better. Looking at my bookmarks on Yelp and found The Burger Palace was in my area. Driving here was a breeze, especially at night. Cutting through few fancy restaurants in the parking lot. I parked right in front of The Burger Palace. It was 30 minutes before closing. I was so glad I wasn't rushed or reminded of such. There was one other customer in the restaurant. Waitress took my order. I didn't want anything with cheese to begin with. So, I decided to have a Vietnamese fashioned burger. Mmm... Wagyu Burger!!! I was very surprised to see the thickness of the beef patty and freshness of the bun. The mayonnaise was sparingly dressed on the bun with an open face. I asked the jalapeño to be in the side, which made the plating exquisite. The pickled shredded carrots was the center of the attention while the bun and burger fulfilled my taste buds. Overall, I had a wonderful dinner meal.

"If you find yourself going to Burger-Chan on a Monday just to realize they're closed, The Burger Palace is an alternative that will make you understand not to make that same mistake again." I came to this establishment to honor National Cheeseburger day. My first choice is Burger-Chan, unfortunately they're closed on Mondays. So since Burger Palace was walking distance, I decided to give them a try. It is a mom and pop shop and wait times and service can take a hit on battle weary owners. The entire place is ran by the owners and the FOH staff is the co-owner. NGL, he's got to have one of the most mean lookin faces I've ever seen in the service industry. He's a man of few words and clearly, being welcoming is not his strong suit. However, during my experience, his level of service was sufficient, barely. The Burger Palace touts itself as a 'Stylish burger spot featuring Akaushi beef patties cooked-to-order & dressed with gourmet toppings'. 'Gourmet burgers' seem to be used to separate its burger meals from your traditional fast food joints. However you can find 'gourmet' toppings the norm these days. Despite touting Akaushi beef patties, you can hardly tell any difference of it from any other gourmet burger place. Again, its leaning towards the norm to have specifically branded/graded beef. The faculty itself has seen better days. Trying to capitalize on the contemporary, modern interior décor, the faculty is musty and grime seems to be creeping in the nooks and crannies. It is a few degrees above comfortable level and humidity is noticeable in the air. The abstract color tables, weird looking statues and dilapidated hanging chandelier doesn't blend well with being a hamburger joint. I elected to get the Texas Cheese Burger. The brioche bun was good and it came adequately topped with fresh jalapenos, grilled onions and cheddar. Size wise, it is a tad bigger than average but it did top me off, just barely. Overall its a satisfactory and good cheeseburger (Does not come with fries), but at $13, its a tough sell. I got the parmesan and rosemary fries to share too, but it also came in at a hard-to-swallow price of $7 for a basket. The Burger Palace's prime time was probably around 10-12 years ago. It's seen better days as newer and more modern/casual places have Burger Palace beat. One such place is Burger-Chan which is literally across the street within walking distance. I feel The Burger Palace's days are numbered. Despite lacking in good service and higher than normal pricing, The Burger Palace does offer a decent burger. However its not enough to bring me back for a second try. Things overall were just 'Ok'. If you find yourself going to Burger-Chan on a Monday just to realize they're closed, The Burger Palace is an alternative that will make you understand not to make that same mistake again.

Canned soda is fine by me! Gives me portion control.

Burger were super delicious! I got the American burger with bacon. Comes with American cheese, lettuce & grilled onion & special house sauce. Bun was toasty & buttery, meat was juicy. My wife had the brisket burger, equally as tasty! Service was quick, plenty of parking. Get you a big fat juicy burger! The ac was out of service so that killed the ambiance.

I came in for a quick lunch when I was in the area for a conference. The Burger Palace was within walking distance from my hotel, and was tucked in a corner of a shopping center. The exterior of the building did not look out of the ordinary, and the interior appeared to be quite jaded, with a 1980s feel to it--although it is clear that the place began operations well after that time! I took a seat at the bar area--it does not appear that they serve spirits and mixed drinks at The Burger Palace, but there is a beer selection on the menu. It appears that there was only one person working and running the entire operation the day I visited. The server offered me a menu but was not too chatty, as he had other tables to tend to. I took some time to look at the menu and placed my order--an American Classic Burger, Truffle Fries, and a Diet Coke. The drink arrived in a can along with a glass filled with ice, so obviously no refills at The Burger Palace. After some time, the burger and fries arrived. The American Classic burger was presented well with a side of ketchup. It was a basic cheeseburger on a (I presume) brioche bun with a good quality (kobe) beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a unique sauce. The truffle fries were fried in truffle-infused oil, and was perfectly crisp. Overall, the meal was wonderful. Aside from the quirky decor and understaffed service, I had a wonderful lunch at The Burger Palace and would certainly come back if the opportunity affords it!

Inside it is a one room eatery with counter service. My first visit was to try the Birria Burrito for $16 with the meal delivered about 10 minutes later. It consisted of their Birria meat cooked for 4 hours mixed with chorizo, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream all wrapped in a large flour tortilla seasoned with their special red colored seasoning. With the meal came a cup of consomne'. Guy Fieri would say, Welcome to Flavortown! It was delicious. The Birria beef was so tender and the flavored flour tortilla with that proprietary red seasoning they use was perfect. It was a very filling meal and well worth the price. So much so, I thought about it the next day. Another visit was to try one of their specialities, the Quesabirria for $14. This meal consisted of 3 grilled and crispy corn tortillas seasoned again with their special red colored magic dust. The tortillas had the delicious Birria meat and cheese inside and I again loved them. The tortillas are only slightly crispy and the meat, cheese and tortillas memorable. This meal also came with a cup of consommé for dipping. Another nice thing about eating here is the customer service. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The guy bussing the tables acted more like the owner than an employee with his helpfulness and the actual manager came out to check on us. Impressive for a counter service restaurant. Tacos Dona Lena deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants of its kind. Incredible food and employees all at very reasonable prices. Since it was my first time here, I ended up ordering 1 chorizo and 1 asada taco, churros, limon aguas, and my friend got the asada taco as well and a hortchata! Since it was super busy (especially on saturday night) it was about a 30 minute wait foe our food but it was well worth it! They hand out free chicharrones and they were super crunchy and a nice snack while we waited for our food. The limon aguas was super refreshing especially in the summer heat and the horchata was really good! We sat at the counter top that overlooks the kitchen. I love that the open kitchen concept so you can see them making your food right in front of you! Everything smelled so good so I was excited for my food. I love that they give radishes, cucumbers, and plenty of limes on the side. I definitely love all of the toppings and the more the better! I tried all of the salsas and the salsa de chile de arbol was by far my favorite! super spicy but had so much flavor. The chorizo was good but a little dry for my liking. I did just want to try it so I can try more than one flavor but I think I would get it again as a breakfast taco with egg instead. The asada was my favorite of the two so much flavor and plenty of meat! I was content with these 2 tacos but I could have definitely eaten more if we didn't order churros as well! The churros came with classic condensed milk and dulce de leche which is just carmelized condensed milk. The churros were crunchy and warm on the outside and had a chewy texture like mochi on the inside! Super yummy and not too sweet! I liked both sauces and would definitely get this again. Overall, I had a great experience and I will be craving the tacos until the next time I can come back! I can't wait to try a lot of their other menu items as well. Definitely recommend!

There's a parking lot, but we went on the weekend, and while the interior didn't look overly full, it was somewhat difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant itself is clean. Everything is pretty much green and white. There's covered patio seating. You order from a window and there's a large menu printed nearby The menu offers all sorts of tacos, meats, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, quesabirras, sides, and even kids meals. You can get beer, margaritas, and non-alcoholic drinks. There's also a breakfast menu The food was good, and it didn't take too long to come out. My main issue was the service. The individual taking orders seemed to have a bit of an attitude and just seemed "over it." Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn't taken off. The odd thing was, we walked away and realized that they didn't add the queso and the coupon was for free queso so they could have just rung up an additional queso. This individual had the vibe of eye rolling everything, and it honestly left a bad taste in my mouth Some tips: You can order online to avoid any wait. Just go up to the pick-up window when it's supposed to be ready for a painless interaction There's a little bar area where you can get pre-packaged (to-go) salsas, pickled onions, limes, etc etc etc. the salsas are tomatillo, habanero, and jalapeño (I believe) You can order margaritas to go, which we did! Cheers!!
