Cute decor inside but a little small, it was rather busy being lunch time but they were able to seat us outside with out a wait. Our server was so sweet and checked on us several times. My husband and I stopped here for brunch because it had a cute vibe and was very busy. However the food was very average, with the only memorable part being the hash brown, which was very good. The biggest disappointment was the coffee. My husband and I both appreciate a good cup of coffee with our breakfast, nothing fancy but just a good cup! This coffee was some of the worst I've ever had, for sure worse than any gas station coffee I've come across. It was highly acidic but also weak and tasted like it had been burning on a hot plate for hours. The kids loved the sliders and the staff was kind enough to plate it separately even without asking - young kids shared the 2 slider meal. the food was decent but nothing was great. we ordered the chicken wraps for an appetizer and i wasn't sure if i was eating chicken because it was so over flavored. my main dish was the ahi tuna and it was on a huge piece of crispy rice. it was okay, not bad, not great. husband ordered the french dip and it was decent. my aunt and uncle shared fish and chips and had soup. again, very mediocre. the manager was not pleasant. i admit it was my fault because i messed up our reservation and she was accommodating, but told me my party needed to leave at 5:30pm. when we drove there and got there at 4:34 for our 4:30 reservation, she was standing outside basically looking at us like we were the ugly stepchildren that came. she told us the waiter knows to rush you guys out, which just made the whole experience uneasy. at 5:30 pm, she comes over and says "you need to leave, the guests are here." it was just really awkward and off putting. she could've easily said "hey, hope everything was good. the other party arrived, so we will need the table soon." it was just so rude of her. waiters were fine. food was decent, nothing special. manager was rude. read more

String beans were over salted. 4/5 Diver scallops were perfectly cooked, but way over salted, served with crispy bacon that was even more salty, red pepper puree that was also over salted. Late Saturday night we decided we wanted to go to The Burrow for Sunday brunch. We were able to make reservations online for a party of three at 9 AM. I was quite surprised that there were still quite a few open reservations that late on a Saturday night for a Sunday brunch. We sat in the dining room at a table that was part booth, part freestanding chair. The table was too small for three people and all the dishes, mugs and glasses but we made it work. The dining room had full view of the kitchen and it wasn't noisy considering the open kitchen concept. Now the music was rather loud which made everyone talk much louder making it a bit too noisy for easy table conversation. Everything was clean, including the bathroom!!! We ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, Chilaquiles and Gyro along with the monkey bread, two sides of hash browns, and three drip coffees. The food was all delicious however the English Muffin on the Benedict was burnt and we did not eat it. The hash browns were delicious and perfectly crunchy and soft. Personal opinion- the monkey bread should be a smaller portion and offer full and half sizes. I also think $12 is pricey for Monkey Bread but is does not disappoint at all. It was delicious. Hashbrowns, English muffin, and toast are all sold al la carte so be prepared to pay extra. Coffee was $4, it was tasty but needed to actually come out hot. It was poured and refilled from a thermos carafe and was warm-hot not hot. Our server was professional and attentive, almost too attentive with trying to clear our plates a few different times when we weren't done yet. I'm not sure it she was just trying to make more room at the table towards the end of the meal or trying to scoot us out on time for the next reservation. Overall the experience was a great one and we all would go back, I just wish it wasn't so expensive. For three people it was $80 before tip. read more

Found this amazing restaurant through Yelp. We were looking for something that was intentional about their food with a nice Traverse City vibe but not over-the-top bougie. The Burrow TC hit on all marks. My teenage daughter had a burger with fries (loved it). Once a month we meet for brunch to enjoy the food and service. The Burrow has always been our go to for deliciousness.

My wife and I went to a sister restaurant and were so impressed that we figured we should try this one. The Burrow did not disappoint. We were quite hungry after a full day outdoors ,so we ordered the bread and butter appetizer, which quite honestly I didn't expect to be anything other than a way to fill up. It turned out to be kind of like a nice lightly charred garlic bread but without the garlic. I'm not doing it justice, it was amazing. We both had the steak frites. The steak seems to have had the same amazing seasoned butter the was used on the bread. My wife who normally uses steak sauce said it was too good for steak sauce. I did try the sauce and say it's a toss up, it was great both with and without. The server was on the ball. We noted that it was our anniversary when booking the reservation and multiple staff members wished us happy anniversary. Nice spot for a quiet meal with a friend. We went st lunch. The menu had delicious selections, but was not huge. My own options were very limited due to food allergies. I tried the Watermelon Gazpacho soup (huge bowl, should have gotten a cup), and the Chicken Lettuce Cups. I had them leave off the croutons and crispy noodles. The soup was amazing. I really enjoy gazpacho in the summer months and this one hit all the taste buds. Fresh, a little spicy, with a twist of mint. It might have even been more amazing with a drizzle of sour cream to tone down the heat. The lettuce cups were what you would expect. Except, not an Asian flavor, more Middle Eastern or African with the flavor profile. Very seasoned. Almost too rich for just one person. This would be a good appetizer to split. My dining companion had the Scallops. They were delicious and very well presented. I was told that the sides were also heavily seasoned and more filling than expected. Although, she wished she had some dressed greens to go with it. It would have balanced the tasting experience. Some acid to cut through the richness of the scallops and sides. Our server was great! Took cate of all of our needs and answered any questions. As a person with a food allergy, I felt confident that my requests for omitted ingredients would be translated to the kitchen. Overall, great dining experience! Next time, I will try a cocktail. The ones that other diners ordered looked amazing. The price was quite fair for the service, ambiance and food. read more

We have just completed an outstanding meal. First, the place is tasteful, charming and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient. Paige took wonderful care of us, checked back often and really made our experience outstanding. Now... the food. OMG! We were a group of 4. We decided to lean heavily on the apps. The onion cheese fondue was delicious. The mussels were outstanding and we sopped up all the amazing broth. The ahi tuna poke bowl was excellent- nicely seasoned. Then each couple, already pretty full from the amazing apps, split two orders of steak frites. The steaks were done to perfection and accompanied by those fabulous malt fries that I can't resist! Stopped here on a recommendation from a client for Sunday brunch. Hostess made a great first impression and some awesome menu recommendations that did not disappoint. Cocktail (Naked & Famous) was surprisingly fresh and had unique flavors. Definitely worth a try. Monkey bread sells out fast on Sunday we were told. Nothing short of amazing, especially for people that don't eat such sweets with any regularity. Burger was cooked perfectly. Bun light and fresh! Ice tea is fresh brewed. We will return. read more

I went back to The Burrow with my same friend I'd gone with before. I saw an online posting about the fall menu. Love me my fall foods, but my friend is the one who ordered the pumpkin gnocchi w/ Brussels sprouts. I ended up ordering the shrimp po-boy, I don't really make shrimp at home as I am a perfectionist and I would be annoyed if I spent the money and it didn't come out perfect. Didn't have to worry about that here, deep/flash fried feckin perfection. A lil'spicy, but t'was acceptable. My friend liked her strong drink, cheers! read more

Ate here for the first time today, it was decent I'd go again. My complaint is that I ordered the Gyro thinking it would have lamb meat in it, it doesn't. I then had to look back at the menus to see what was in it an I cracked up, someone guessing whomever wrote the the menu doesn't understand what a Gyro is! This brunch spot is very clean and modern inside, some would say even a little bit fancy. I ordered the Belgian waffles for $12, given the appearance of this restaurant I believed they would be very good. I noticed that they used krusteaz Belgian waffle mix! I was very disappointed when I realized this. When the food arrived I received one single waffle even though the menu states "waffles". On top of my waffles were a couple strawberries and blueberries and a single soggy raspberry. This place was unbelievable. We visited Traverse City for the weekend, and got reservations here for Friday night. The food was so good that we came back Saturday as well. When we arrived they had our table ready (both nights) and we were seated immediately. We got an appetizer each night, the Brussel sprouts Friday and the mussels Saturday. They were both excellent but the mussels were some of the best I've had. For dinner we got crab cakes and halibut one night and scallops and crab cakes again the next night. All of these dishes were fantastic and thoughtfully put together. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the pairings were excellent. The first night we got the cherry dessert and that was great too. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out. The prices were not bad and the food was to die for. read more

Fantastic food! We had malt fries with amazing aioli, tomato bisque with little grilled cheese croutons, potato leek chowder, and lamb lollipops. Ordered bowls not cups of soup and FYI they were huge portions. The lollipops were amazing lamb chops, which was unexpected. Definitely recommend going!
