Once I made the "manager" Cindy, aware of the situation she said that "he was wearing his mask". Wearing your mask under your chin is not wearing a mask especially during this pandemic. I Feel bad for all the other orders he prepared WITHOUT A MASK. Unacceptable, thank goodness I got my refund and will not be coming back especially during this pandemic, cannot believe the manager did not want to acknowledge that staff was not wearing a mask. I waited 2 hours for my lunch! I wish I could give a better rating because my chicken salad sandwich was very good but unfortunately it was not worth the 2 hour wait I had for my food. I placed a large order for our office at 11:25am for a 12:35pm pickup thinking it would be enough time prepare the large order. However when I got to the restaurant they told me it would be another 30min until it was ready. And then 30min later, they told me it would be another 30min. I didn't leave until 1:50pm with my food in hand. There were other customers in the restaurant who were cancelling their orders in person because it was taking too long for all the orders. It would have been nice to have been notified ahead of time that they were running behind and given the option of canceling my order. The woman working the register also did not have a nice attitude and it felt like she could care less about my order being late. I would not recommend ordering from here for large groups. This is for a recent visit, 7/8/2020. Service was on point and food was on point! I wish I got the employee's name who took our order over the phone/rang my bill up when I got there. He was great! My husband and I placed an order over the phone about 8-10 minutes prior to the restaurant closing at 8:00pm. Not once did the employee sound irritated or give us a snarky attitude for placing our order at the time we did. Patient and kind over the phone, as well as in person. So special shout to to him! We got home and opened up our order: 1 Arnold Palmer, 1 medianoche sandwich (spread on the side), and 1 midnight snack sandwich, both with salads. Both sandwiches tasted great! The pork in the Medianoche sandwich was so flavorful! I love this place. They do a fantastic job with large orders. We order here sometimes for my office and they always making pick up a breeze. They label the food and will double check that it's all there (including the sides). What's even better is that they separate the side salad from the hot sandwiches so the lettuce doesn't wilt. The main thing that stands out to me about the place is that it was pricey. It felt like expensive LA prices, but in little Burbank. That being said, the presentation on the carving board is cute and the food was good! I got the BLT with house salad. For the salad being so simple, it is very good. Hands down the worst meal in a long long time. 1.) DO NOT trust the pictures on their website.Obviously just food porn shots from a professional photographer NOT from the food coming out of their kitchen. 2.)The hamburger was ridiculous. They should be embarrassed by their Smashouse Burger. Not a brioche bun- just a generic junk bun not even the quality of Wendy's or McDonalds. Yes 2 patties but neither were even close to the size on the dumb bun, they were maybe 1/4" thick and they were charred around the edges. Sauce? Maybe? All for the glorious price of 10.50. 3.) Both of the side "salads" were just lettuce smooshed into the styrofoam container. I don't think that qualifies as "salad" - just call it a side of old brown edged lettuce. 4.) The "Sweet November" turkey sandwich was "fine"- just too bad there wasn't enough turkey to cover the bread and they were definitely rationing the sauce tonight- too bad it was barely a drizzle. And the .50 extra I had to pay for lettuce to be added to a sandwich? Nope not there. 5.) Skip the hassle and and head to ANY fast food joint- at least their food served actually looks like the photos on the menu. Shame shame shame shame shame shame shame Never again. Never again.
