Baked Brie with raspberry sauce, crackers and fruit.

Date night for the wife and I. Great ambiance, main courses were pretty good. Not pictured the free range roasted chicken. That was my wife's dish and she enjoyed it. Our server Emma was great as well.

Star of the last act; purple potato cheese cake!

The Cazbah was a short walk from our hotel; we chose it based on the convenience and the reviews. We looked up the menu, and since they had meatballs (my wife's favorite) that clinched the deal. The restaurant space is small, although there is a loft area, and a private room, curiously located in the front of the restaurant. We were greeted cordially by a guy who I later saw vigorously mixing drinks. They seemed to have one guy who bright drinks and took your order, and an other young guy who brought out the food. I mentioned that he had a good job bring out all this delicious food, and delicious it was! I could find no fault in the lobster dogs--think crab or cream cheese Rangoon, but a different shape and slightly better. It was served with a seaweed salad and cold noodles. That's a nice tapas; the sides were a good complement to the rich and creamy dogs. My wife was content with her mozzarella stuffed meatballs; they were mild and served with a similar tomato sauce. She inquired about the Baby Brussel sprouts, but when our server said they had a "kick", she declined (I think that's when she decided to have desert). I ordered the fusion--diced sashimi tuna atop a seasoned guacamole mash on a crunchy baguette. Plenty of food here--portions are just right! I ordered a glass of Riesling--(red newt), and it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Desert decision: my wife said tiramisu, but I gently urged her to try the purple potato cheese cake! Yum, so delicious. So, the Cazbah earns five stars for food (creativity, taste and portions), service, and price... When back in Greenville, I'm looking forward to tasting some of the other dishes!

    "Lobster" cigars

Based on the recent reviews, we decided to try The Cazbah out. Unfortunately it was not up to the hype. The lobster cigars could've have lobster or imitation crab or neither in them. They were mostly cream cheese and sauce. Very reminiscent of a crab Rangoon at a Chinese restaurant. It was ok, but not what I was expecting for lobster. The Beef Wellington is steak tips, wrapped in a type of biscuit dough with a weak brown gravy and instant mashed potatoes. The chicken empanadas lacked flavor but did have a nice dipping sauces the crab cakes were tiny and were mostly bread. The tuna and sushi were enjoyed.

Really good food, good atmosphere. I know it's tapas but portions were a litttttllleee small. Wine was 25% on bottles on Thursdays

I came here for a private party and it was great. The room was right by the large window which was nice. Service was great. Drinks were great and so was the food. My favorite was the spinach dip and shrimp tacos. Everything was so flavorful and generous in portions considering it was a tapas bar. My friend is a picky eater and she enjoyed it just as much as I did!

Excellent food & service at the Cazbah!! A few tapas plates with cocktails. The fusion tuna was wonderful!

We had the ahi tuna and beef meatballs. Both were very good, but the meatballs were barely above room temperature. Our server was friendly and attentive. It's a great place for a few light bites. Enjoyable

Excellent everything! The service by Danny and David was exceptional. The food was delicious and a great wine selection. I highly recommend when in Greenville downtown area. A quaint restaurant with inside and outside seating.

You're encouraged to go take a look around if you want to find something off the by-the-glass list, and you add $10 to the price of the bottle as a corkage fee. Very reasonable! The dine, though secondary to the wine, is nothing to sneeze at! We got the brie (very sweet but good, could have gotten it for dessert), the trout, and the scallops, all delicious. It did take the brie a very long time to come out, but the meal flowed nicely from there. If you're in a hurry, let them know so the server can make recommendations. Some folks have complained about there being no music, which I can see if you were sitting in the main dining room, but I liked the hum of the place as it filled with conversations from the patrons. Our table was to the side of the bar, and I loved the view of the wine and the brick walls, but would have preferred some of the empty wine boxes be stored somewhere else. Just realize you are eating in a wine store if you're not in the main dining room. They also have lots of side rooms for private parties! Outdoor seating is also available. The service was prompt and welcoming. The sommelier came over to give recommendations for our palate and budget. They have something for everyone! We split a bottle and were very happy with our choice. Northampton Wine + Dine has been a Greenville staple for decades and I can see why! Will be back!

Have you ever discovered that neighborhood gem worth the trip no matter where you're coming from? That's Ji-Roz. This Greek-inspired restaurant is located just a few minutes walk from NOMA on the quieter, residential stretch of Main Street. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance; intimate enough for a casual date night, relaxed enough for a long lunch with friends. And the food? It's guaranteed to spark conversation, with a symphony of distinct flavors that blend seamlessly into something truly greater than the sum of their parts. We order the spanakopita every single visit, and it never disappoints. The flaky crust gives way to a perfectly balanced blend of feta and spinach that sets the tone for the meal beautifully. The smoked octopus with capers is another standout appetizer. It's bold, flavorful, and absolutely worth exploring. For an entrée, don't overlook the fresh North Carolina trout served over a pea and mint purée, accompanied by Greek potatoes and roasted broccolini, and finished with a cucumber and caper relish. It's a masterclass in balance with every component complementing the fish rather than competing with it, resulting in a layered, memorable plate. The restaurant also offers a thoughtful selection of casual wines and beers to round out the experience. As we were leaving after a late lunch, we caught the chef making fresh pasta for the dinner menu. Safe to say, we'll be back and soon.

I was reluctant to buy into the hype... however, it's WELL deserved. The service and selection was stellar. You will hear people rave over the goat cheese balls. Their reputation proceeds them, but honestly, I don't think that they are a "must order". I had many other dishes there that are far more worth ordering, such as... *The Lamb (starter) * Brussels Sprouts * Tahini Caesar The Wine list is very extensive, and access to a top-tier sommelier is great. We absolutely adored our server, Nicolas who made our experience as fun, festive, and informative as could be! My only "note" to management would just be that besides the natural setting (the perfect Reddy River), the indoor ambience is SO lackluster. The restaurant could really stand to have an aesthetic revamp. And I hate to comment on the interior of the restrooms since it is seemingly so obsolete to "restaurant review," but I simply feel compelled to comment. The restrooms are barely a step up from a public pool/beach bathroom shack. Too harsh? No, must be said. Nonetheless, I cannot wait to come back and highly recommend everyone try this GEM of a restaurant (just pee before;)
