My first time at this particular location. Hardly any wait! I've been to Cheesecake Factories several times and have not ever encountered less than a 45 minute wait. When I was here over the weekend, my wait time was a mere five minutes! Loved it. This location is huge inside and offers a few large patio spaces. We sat on one of their side patios. It was dark out but the space was well-lit and I felt comfortable. Our waiter was attentive and was quick to assist. I ordered a beer, the Fish N' Chips entree, and a hefty slice of the Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake (...when in Rome). We also were given a complimentary bread and butter basket as we waited for our food. Everything was exceptional. Just delicious. I could not finish the cheesecake and the waiter provided me with a to-go container and bag without my asking! He just knew. I savored the rest of the cheesecake later in the evening. A very busy location ant The Collection, since our first visit, we have ordered from uber eats (delicious but expensive for delivery) and this weekend made another visit. You can not beat the food here. It has been dependably off the charts forever; it is their trademark. The Ceasar Salad is one of the best ever. I love the pasts dishes. The menu is HUGE, with something for everyone. They are nice about special requests. We sat at the bar and got excellent service. We did not have to wait to be seated; our food came quickly and was delicious. Even the lunch portions are too much... but we got through it. Now we know the trick. read more

Today's the day -- Grand Opening of The Cheesecake Factory! [04.16.19] I was fortunate enough to dine here before the actual opening and try some of the new items they've added to the menu; absolutely delicious! The staff was very professional and collectively attentive with all of the customers. My servers were Roger (lunch) and Savannah (dinner), they gave excellent service and great dining recommendations! My two favorite dishes are their Beet and Avocado Salad & their Chicken Parmesan "Pizza Style". The salad is a great starter, it's such a beautiful presentation of color and amazingly tasty! Again, the girls in the front the people the waiters front desk hosts everyone is extremely rude, careless. Unprofessional and it seems like a bunch of kids work there. The food is overpriced. They give you a small portion for a whole lot of money. It is ridiculous I will never ever eat there even with a gift card. This place is overpriced! for the amount of food that you get it's not worth the price ! I ordered a small order from the side dishes and it turned out to be $27. My husband got pasta a meal and that ended up being about $40. We were SO looking forward to having lunch at the Cheesecae Factory over the week end, 6/9. This location at Oxnard is newer, very nice atmosphere, & the service is typically great. We love it here. We drove in from out of town and arrived on Sunday at 11:30 am & only one party was ahead of us in line to check in. When our turn was up, the young receptionist couldn't be bothered to say anything, couldn't be bothered to smile, greet us, welcome us, IDK but there's lots of things she could've chosen as a friendly reception. The other woman working beside her did not smile, did not say hello, she simply grabbed menus & lead us outside to a table with debris all over it. It was not dirty but had plenty of debris from trees. We work hard for our money & going out is a treat that we wish to be a courteous & pleasant experience, is all. She placed the menus down on the table & walked away. No eye contact. Literally. We didn't even sit down. We decided to leave immediately & take our hard earned money to another big chain restaurant a few steps away. We were greeted there with smiles by several of their servers there & we were very appreciative. Something I've learned by working in retail is that we have jobs Because OF the customers that enter. On our way out, we mentioned our disappointment to the second woman I mentioned, the older one, to which she said not a word. Our mistake was not asking for a manager. I only ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad (nothing to drink) - that evening I got very sick - which lasted til the following morning. Not much to the salad which cost $17.50. I had ptomaine poisoning. First I love my cheesecake factory at The Oaks in TO. Always amazing service, the food is great, fun atmosphere. Worth it every time. I went here with friends on a Thursday (1-15) around 5:30. It wasn't busy and we sat in the bar area. Our server came over and took our orders but we did not know what we wanted to eat yet. We got orders in and then we were handed off to another server, ours had to take a break. The new guy seemed nice enough but we never saw him again, he had a couple of big tables. We got our food and thank goodness for the food runner, he brought us the things we needed to complete our order. We never got checked on after that. We flagged down the food runner and got a water. Then we had to find our server and ask for a check. She walked by our table a few times and never took a single empty dish, no one was clearing any tables. There was a long long line waiting to sit and the servers were not helping to clear tables, it looked like no one was. I never saw a manager. The servers were hanging around the bar talking with the bartender. There were easily 10 tables sitting dirty in the bar area and uncleared and people were coming in and sitting at them. The line outside was at least 40 people. This was 7 PM on a Thursday. It felt like a different restaurant from the one I usually go to. There was no feeling that the place was running all together well. Maybe it was an off night, maybe they were all burnt out and I know there are staffing issues. I won't come back to this location but you should try the one in The Oaks, if you can get a table. The young lady at the bakery counter was very very nice. read more

Went there with my wife for an early dinner yesterday.......she ordered the bacon cheeseburger, and I ordered the fettucine alfredo. We waited patiently for about 15 minutes or so before being given water, and advised the person who came over that we would like to place our order. She advised us she was not our server, but took our order anyways (did not get her name, but she was one of the bright spots of a poor experience). Our server Sal then came over and told us he was ending his shift, and introduced now a 3rd server (did not catch his name). About 25 minutes later, our food arrived......the cheeseburger had cold cheese (literally, like it had just been taken out of the fridge), and my fettucine was soupy and watery, as well as needed salt. No sign of our waiter to bring us some salt until the meal was almost complete......When my wife advised about the cheese, he told her that it was "relaxed" cheese.....never heard of such a thing. My wife and I and our two sons visited the Cheesecake Factory in Oxnard for the first time today... Tristan was our server and he was great... Very professional and attentive. Their customer service is absolutely phenomenal. My son is vegan and ordered a pasta dish with no cheese and when they brought it to the table, we just double checked that it had no cheese and stated to the gentleman that he was vegan, and he assured us that there was no cheese, so all is well, and we started enjoying our meals. Within a couple of minutes, I believe she is the manager but I did not get her name, they approached our table asking who was the vegan, and that the sauce that the pasta was tossed in actually has egg... So they went back and talked to the cook, and the cook said he could make the same dish just without sauce they would use olive oil and that was perfectly acceptable for our son. They comped us the original pasta dish, which I took home and ate myself... Thank you very much by the way. Shortly, there after they came out with my son's newly revised dish... The entire staff at this establishment went far above and beyond anything we would have ever imagined. Most waiters would have just left the dish on the table and even after hearing our son is vegan would have never mentioned it to anybody in the back. It was a no brainer when we had a celebration to go here for our meal. But we had a very bad experience that started at the host stand. I won't bore you with every last detail but we waited over 2 hrs for a table because of their mistake when they explained they had 90 minute seating limits for every table. The host did not own up to their mistake, the manager apologized at the host stand and that was it. The manager did not follow up with us during our meal to make sure the rest of our experience was going well. Other restaurants have this high standard so I was surprised Cheesecake Factory standards weren't equal. It seemed they just wanted to avoid us the second we checked in. I did their survey, resulting in a call from the manager the following day but I was traveling back home so I called her back. They placed me on hold for 15 minutes! She was apologetic for my experience and said they were sending me a gift card for what happened. I never received this "gift card" but I guess I'm not surprised after that kind of experience. They hope that you'll just go away after offering the gift card but never sent it. I also attempted to contact them through their web page. It seems like Cheesecake Factory doesn't have high standards for customer service anymore. I've wasted a lot of time waiting with this place and such a shame for how much money you spend here. Im not sure my family and I will be going back for second chances. I must say this company usually exceeds my expectations, but the one in Oxnard lacks professional staff. We arrived around 645 and were told the wait was 1hr and 45 mins for inside seating and 1hr and 15 minutes for patio seating. We asked to DINE INSIDE. 45 minutes later I get a text saying our table is ready. We come back we are sat on the PATIO. We were sat by the employee break area (by the POS system on the patio). I don't think it was a break area, but they sure acted like it was. The GM did check on us , and as far as the food goes - it was amazing. The filet-mignon was PERFECTLY cooked. All in all if you are looking for expensive amazing food, this is the place. Just don't expect much attention to detail or privacy from the wait staff. read more

Surprisingly busy (in the entryway especially) for a Sunday nt (probably because of the recent big storm-everyone wanted to get out of the house). We had a reservation for 6pm and were seated by 6:10. Hostess (Bree) was very nice-always smiling and not flustered by the dozens of people waiting around her podium (??do they all have resos). Surprisingly, in the main dining area there were several tables vacant but not cleaned (clearly the weakest link contributing to the waiting crowd). Also, the bathroom trash cans were overflowing with trash onto floor. Hence the loss of one star for the above. However Bree's pleasant nature was followed by exquisite service by Lace. She was a gem, very personable, efficient, friendly and helpful (we were there to try out different dishes to help plan an upcoming large highschool reunion at cheesecake factory in Redondo beach). The food. The bread was a nice start. We started with an order of crispy brussel sprouts--excellent. We were tasked to pick out a chicken entree for the reunion. We tried the ckn Maderia--excellent flavor-good size, tender, moist. It came with a large helping of mashed potato. Our other entree was ckn Riesling--also very flavorful, a bit overcooked but still very good. It came with a huge amount of pasta (?angel's hair). Surprisingly, neither entree comes with soup or salad, or veggies (other than the potatoes and asparagus + shrooms that are part of the Maderia topping). I would suggest cutting down on the huge portion of starch on each meal and include some real veggies--much healthier as well. Soup/salad not critical as the meal was quite large and you need room for cheesecake of course. With Lace's help we tried and were delighted by the peanut butter/chocolate and the lemon/raspberry cheesecake. Food was all served at an appropriate pace. Overall it was a good experience. Our recent visit brought us back and don't mind the wait here at the Cheesecake Factory. The service that Gregg provided us in the bar was not only superb but professional and courteous that you don't find at most establishments. We had table visits from both Managers Jeff and Dillon and I must say that the customer service here in 5 star so we are doing the long wait on Mother's Day knowing this place continues to make us happy as the food has never let us down nor has the service. Went to dinner here before Christmas 2024, the portions were generous (Steak Dianne) as usual. We returned for new years and the portions were cut in half (Steak Dianne.) we informed the manager and the told us that the portions are weighed and that the portions of the order were correct. This was a blatant lie I wish we had a picture. The food was excellent as always, I just don't enjoy portions that are not consistent at a restaurant. You are expecting one thing and they give you something else. I concluded they were running low on this in the kitchen and thinned it out accordingly. Horrible customer service as the manager did nothing to resolve the issue. May I recommend Larsen's, The Lure, Yard House, Lazy Dog, BJ's anytime over The Cheesecake Factory. These other recommended restaurants do a far superior job than The Cheesecake Factory. They reminded me of the aged Denny's. Real costly for very small portions. My daughter and I went in there around happy hour (Mon-Fri 4pm-6pm) On 4/19/19 And it was really busy. We waited around 30 minutes but there were people waiting 45+mins. I kind of expected it as it was the first Friday since their Grand Opening on Tuesday 4/16. As we were leaving, around 6pm, the line was out the door and I'm just so glad we got in early. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the fried zucchini for starters. They were so delicious and the perfect portions. Then for our entrees my daughter got Evelyn's favorite pasta and I ordered the Pasta Carbonara with chicken. My dish was amazing and the portion is quite big. I even have enough for a second meal. My daughters dish looked a bit dry but maybe that's the way that dish was supposed to be. She said she wished that she knew it wasn't a saucy kinda of pasta dish but It's no fault of the restaurant, she should've asked. We didn't end up getting cheesecake this trip because we were so full by the end of our meal. Next time we'll have to remember to save room desert. Our server was Jerilyn and she was Courteous, friendly and attentive. She made sure that we were doing ok and if we needed anything. Customer service was on point. I used to have to drive all the way to Thousand Oaks if I felt like eating Cheesecake Factory but now that they're closer I'll be visiting more often. I can see this location doing quite well as they are located in The Collection in Oxnard. I look forward to visiting again as their menu is pretty big and so many options to try. And that it did, the Korea bbq I got was absolutely delicious, although the avocado wasn't really needed. Christines honey truffle chicken also looked so crispy! So my husband and I decided to grab coffee and cheesecake after our movie. We arrived 37min. before closing. There was no hostess so we decided to go to the bar. The tables and bar seats that were available were dirty. So we went back to the hostess and ask for seats. She said all the tables needed clearing if we wouldn't mind sitting at the bar. We told her we didn't mind but the empty seats at the bar the counter was also dirty. She said it would be quicker to clean the bar counter. She walked to the bar chatted with someone came back. I spoke to the manager incharge Sarah. Who apologized and pretty much that was it. Look Cheesecake Factory your employees wages are are increasing like your prices as well now your telling us how much we should tip and your customer service is way below par, and I received "I'm sorry ".
