My family and I called ahead to ask for an estimated wait time with graduations going on and was quoted an hour and were told this location has done really well with large parties. That made us come in for our party of 13 for my mom's 50th birthday. At 5:46pm we arrived and put our name down. We were quoted an hour & a half to Two hours, which wasn't too bad. We proceeded to the bar area and waited and enjoyed drinks and appetizers with a great server (African American woman, young with glasses) (She was amazing!) At 7:42pm we got a text stating the table was ready and to wait in the hallway with our party. We told our family and some were paying for their bill and then proceeded in the hallway. We left the bar and got up and lost our seats due to thinking our seats were ready stated from the manager, Sina, "just waiting for a party to get up from your table." We waited an additional 30 minutes and still no table. My dad double checked with Sina and said, "I don't see your name on the list." Sina then said an additional 5-10 minutes to make it right apparently. My mom was very upset and prior to waiting in the bar, she took a loop around the restaurant herself to see if there were any empty tables in the patio area that can accommodate our large party long ago. We waited an additional 10 minutes at this point, so standing waiting for 40 minutes and my mom said to Sina, "Why say our table is ready, when it was not? He quickly said, "I'll comp all your desserts and get a table outside ready in 2 minutes and I promise you'll have the best service and get your appetizers in as soon as possible. We finally sat at 8:15pm and immediately as promised got service by Tori (great) by taking our drink and appetizer order. Not much people ordered an appetizer because we ordered in the bar. Only 3 people ordered appetizers out of 13 people. We were served fresh bread and were given straws. Tori was hustling working alone. Unfortunately, Sina was suppose to be helping us and we did not get to place our entree order until 9:15pm. We waited 20 minutes and my mom seen Sina & called him over and complained how poor the service we have received from him and he just put us in the back to ignore us. Sina stated he can comp all drinks non alcoholic, desserts, & appetizers that's the best he can do. My mom persisted and stated we've been here for basically 4 hours waiting with no food on our table and Sina said what do you want me to do, I'm giving you 25% off already and raised his voice. My mom immediately rushed out the restaurant and said this is the worse service of my life and I'm leaving. Sina replied, "Good for you, have a good night!" My brother stepped in and said lower your tone and to not talk to my mom like that. Sina stated, "I'm so sorry, I should have not raised my voice, it was just loud over here." (Which is was not loud at all). He asked my brother, What can I do to make this right? and my brother said, he would like corporates number. As my mom left, my dad went after her then my brother followed. Sina came back lost unsure where my brother went and I told him to just place the card on the table in which he did and left. Sina made my family and especially my mom unwelcome. What makes it a worse, we had two family members who traveled from up north and Texas to celebrate this great milestone for my mom to ruin this memory. Unfortunately, we all ended up leaving without eating anything. A waste of almost 4 hours of our time to not even have dinner. Sina's body language from the beginning was very unprofessional and the way he was treating and talking to a busser (female) in the back room was disgusting. This whole experience made my mom's 50th birthday unforgettable in not a great way. I will no longer be coming to this location as long as Sina is a manager and/or employed at this location. He needs retraining and should not be a manager because it's obvious he can't be under pressure or stress without it affecting his ability to manage. read more

This sadly marks the last time I go to The Cheesecake Factory. TCF used to be an upscale casual dining experience -- a few steps above Chili's and just under a Chart House. It was a solid performer in that range. Sadly, I've witnessed a systematic decline that has ended my relationship with the chain. Food Quality: I've noticed the decline for some time, but it has finally reached a point I'm unwilling to overlook. The fried foods taste like they're cooked in very low-quality oil. The calamari batter, for example, was underwhelming and felt like prepackaged frozen chunks paired with sauces straight out of a Sysco catalog. The entire appetizer experience has fallen apart -- and not just at the Redondo Beach location, but nationwide. I recently had the same experience at the Millenia Mall location in Orlando. The Chicken Caesar Salad used to be a standout menu item. It had a distinct ancho flavor in the dressing that gave it an original, zesty taste at a time when many chain restaurants abandoned traditional recipes to appeal to broader palates. TCF stood out because it stayed true to those flavors. That's gone now. Today it tastes like bitter mayonnaise dumped over lettuce. The chicken is rubbery and has the texture and appearance of the lowest-quality fast-food chicken breast imaginable. Picture a grilled chicken sandwich patty pulled out from between the buns and laid on top of a salad -- that's what it resembles. It used to be my go-to order. Now I couldn't get through more than two bites of a lunch portion. Again, this is not isolated to one location. I've experienced this at multiple Cheesecake Factory restaurants across the country. Service: Where do I start? The staff used to be held to a higher standard. Crisp white shirts, tightly pressed black aprons, polished presentation -- it gave the feeling of a tightly run ship. The service often felt above the menu prices. Servers appeared well-trained, professional, and attentive. That standard is gone. Uniforms are sloppy, inconsistent, and lack continuity. Bright white shirts next to off-white and cream-colored tops -- it all feels careless. Then there are the masks. About 90% of the staff were wearing them. Personally, it makes me feel like the staff is sick, and if you're sick, you shouldn't be working in food service. Someone at our table suggested it was more of a political statement. I'm not sure if that's better or worse, but either way, it feels like something that should be left at the door. The level of service -- or lack thereof -- was shocking. Pre-bussing has become a lost art. Food runners dropped dishes onto the table like a jigsaw puzzle, nearly knocking drinks over in the process. One plate was literally hanging one-third off the edge of the table over someone's lap. Before I could ask for appetizer plates to be removed, the runner had already disappeared. Bussers avoided eye contact, leaving us sitting at a battlefield of empty plates and bread dishes with no room for entrees -- not that they deserved the title. Eventually, I stacked the plates myself and placed them on the floor so we could eat comfortably. The server missed countless upsell opportunities. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail, despite the first drinks taking nearly 20 minutes to arrive. A Mai Tai was delivered without a straw -- frustrating if you've ever seen the size and shape of their glasses. The server only returned a handful of times, then eventually dropped the check and thanked us without ever mentioning dessert. At The Cheesecake Factory. I took that as a sign. Perhaps even the restaurant's namesake staple has declined alongside the food quality and service. So I paid, left a 22% tip, and made the decision not to return. The lack of interaction from the staff made the experience feel cold and industrial. I wasn't looking for long conversations, but basic politeness, cordial greetings, and simple pleasantries would have gone a long way. Instead, nearly every interaction felt hostile. Walking through the restaurant, saying "excuse me" or stepping aside for staff, I was met repeatedly with expressions of disdain -- even from what appeared to be management. I wasn't rude, upset, or confrontational. I was smiling and trying to be friendly. I was desperately looking for any reason to consider coming back someday. The valet host was the exception. The only person smiling all afternoon. A gentleman who drives from Riverside all the way to Redondo Beach to work valet. I salute that one man. To the rest of the Sunday midday staff: I genuinely wish you a better life somewhere other than a place you seem to hate so much. It's a sad realization, as I said from the beginning. But in a time when dining out has become an expensive luxury for many people, restaurants have to do better. read more

Came here to redeem the free slice of pie. Looking at the prices, each slice of pie is around $12-$13 which is pricey. I haven't been to this Cheesecake Factory in like 10 years. They still have the valet parking which I think I saw it to be $7 for valet as I drove in today. I ordered using Doordash and glad they have dedicated parking for pick-ups inside the valet. Interior feels a bit dated. The tile floors, brick steps outside, the wooden couch seatings. I ordered avocado toast ($9.95), steak asada ($30.50), and free slice of cheesecake valued at $12.95. I picked up the food and got free complimentary bread inside which was super nice. Avocado toast was very good, comes with 3 small toast with lots of avocado and veggies on top. I thought the steak asada was a bit disappointing. For $30, would like more portion. I can get steak bowl from Chipotle for half the price and more portion. Steak was really good, the rice and corn is okay. What's unique about the cheesecake factory is that they have over 250 menu items and everything is prepared daily. Except the cheesecakes which are made in factory and shipped frozen. They do really good job in terms of quality, considering they have so many items on the menu. They have both quantity and quality. We were actually only here for dessert, but I was trying to compare all of their top 5 cakes IMO (I had been disappointed by the Dulce de Leche recently) so I tried the other 4, 2 there, 2 to-go. 5/5 - Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple: this may be menu number one favorite cheesecake! It is like a mixture of peanut butter fudge and a Butterfingers candy bar, but with the perfect amount of Cheesecake in every bite. It's rich and decadent, but not too over the top somehow. 4.55/5 - Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake: this is my previous favorite, and still delicious, but Adams peanut butter cup ripple has a little bit of texture and flavor difference that this one doesn't seem to have. 4/5 - Linda's Fudge Cake: this cake has a lot of hype behind it, and I did find it to be rich and not overly sweet. This place is almost always busy for its location but they turn the tables pretty fast. Service is 3 out of 5 because we don't get checked by our waitress for water refill or anything. Extremely disappointed. We love the cheesecake factory, and I could go on and on about why, but our last visit soured everything. Our family was traveling through LA, and wanted to see Redondo Beach. We decided to have the Uber drop us at the cheesecake factory, it seemed like a great location. We had a couple of suitcases and the staff would not store them for us, or allow us to even bring them in. My husband ran in to ask before bringing anything to the door. We asked to make a reservation for a few hours later and we're told no. The only way to make a reservation is to download the cheesecake, factory app, create an account, and make the reservation online in the app. I don't know if the hostess was being difficult or that's just their policy now. The hostess didn't want to hear my husband. We would've happily paid extra fees. He was extremely kind and polite. The staff seemed like they didn't want anything to deal with their jobs. We walked our suitcases up the block and found a really wonderful local restaurant overlooking the water who were happy to accommodate. My wife and I have come to this particular location at least half a dozen times. The most recent being yesterday afternoon. This is, however, my first time reviewing this restaurant. This place is very popular and seems to always be very packed. That being said, there's only been one occasion that I can recall where my wife and I have had to wait more than 15-30 minutes to be seated. Yesterday, we were seated immediately as is usually the case. The only difference was that this time around we were offered a table outside, which we took. Turns out being outside has its pros and cons, at least during the day. On the one hand, the view was beautiful with the marina in full view. On the other hand, it was quite hot outside. The service here has ranged from pitiful to fantastic over the past few years. Yesterday, I would say it was very good. The food came out a little slow, but our server was very nice and attentive. The main reason we keep coming back is the food. For an appetizer, we had the Avocado Egg Rolls. This was our first time trying this dish and we enjoyed it a lot. It was crispy and stuffed with fresh avocados. The green sauce, which was a bit sweet, paired nicely with the egg rolls. For our main course, my wife had the Crusted Chicken Romano while I had the grilled ribeye with fries substituted over mashed potatoes. This is what we both usually order and we both enjoyed our meals. I particularly liked my steak yesterday since it had a large rib cap on it. We, of course, capped off our meal with cheesecakes, which were fantastic. I love the strawberry cheesecake! Came here the other night with my family for dinner and we absolutely loved it. I've always been a fan of Cheesecake Factory, especially because their menu has so many options. Whether you're in the mood for pasta, non-pasta dishes, or dessert, you really can't go wrong. My all-time favorite is the chipotle chicken pasta it's super flavorful, really filling, and the portion size is huge (definitely enough to take home if you can't finish it). Everything we had was delicious, and of course you can't skip dessert here. We shared the banana cream cheesecake, and it was light, creamy, and the perfect size to split. So good This location is great too. I love the vibe, and since it's near the beach, you can even get ocean views depending on where you sit. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and the interior felt very welcoming. The staff really made the experience even better. They were kind, patient, and super accommodating especially since we had elderly family members in our party. They made sure we were seated somewhere comfortable. Our waitress was amazing (sadly didn't catch her name), but she truly deserves her flowers. She made sure everything came out correctly and was kind enough to box and bag our food for us. Had been wanting to try their brunch menu for a very long time now. Came in on a Sunday morning around 11 and it was kind of empty but about 30min to an hour later it got very busy. Our waitress was amazing, very friendly and attentive. She's one of the main reasons why I am giving this review 5 stars. One of the plates for the appetizers had a hair on it, the light in there is kind of dim so I can understand how it was overlooked. You can hardly see it on the picture but it was there. Kids got an Oreo shake, they are tough critics but insisted the shake was 10/10. I got the chicken chilaquiles, they aren't your normal Mexican chilaquiles, presentation was questionable and I was already annoyed thinking I wouldn't like them. I was wrong. They were delicious, the salsa used tasted very homemade!! It was very savory, the chicken was shredded and cooked to perfection. The scrambled eggs were also buttery and cooked just right. This location is the largest Cheesecake Factory I have been to. We ended up parking at Redondo Beach and walked up but realized that valet may have been free during the posted lunchtimes on weekdays. There was plenty of parking. We did not have reservations but it was not busy for 1pm on a Friday. We were seated immediately in the patio and as our hostess led us to our seats, it seemed to go on and on. We loved the view of the ocean beyond the boat docks. We were served by Christian who provided excellent service. He seemed to really know the menu and was courteous and friendly. I normally get the Chicken Farfalle but it's not offered in a smaller size so I opted for the Chicken Piccata. My friend had the fettucini Alfredo. The pasta was amazing. My lunch plate was perfectly portioned. We also saved room for dessert as we could not leave without having a slice of Banana Cream Cheesecake. The bananas were fresh and ripe. Being there during brunch time was nice because the restaurant is otherwise pretty dim at night time. Their monte cristo is the dish I always get when I come for brunch. 4 solid half cuts of their sandwich. It's sweet and salty with a nice crunch in the middle. You get strawberry jam to put on top so it's a mouth full of flavor! You can also customize your own breakfast as well. We got their omelet with a bowl of fruit. Sour dough comes on the side. Luckily I had reservations or it can be quite a wait. You have to do $6 valet. I've been sitting on this $25 gift card that I got years ago. After taking a walk along the beach, we decided to stop by for some cheesecake. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon and it appeared that this spot has valet parking only. There are plenty of paid parking lots nearby if you don't want to valet park. We thought we get more than two slices for $25, but the cheesecakes are priced high. Some full cheesecakes were going for $75! If you're purchasing cheesecake only, there is a separate counter. We've eaten at this location a number of times. Its one of my wife's favorite places. Great view of the harbor. Food is always tasty, if a bit overpriced. I'm not a fan of the parking set up. What triggered me to write this review is trying to make a reservation. They will not take a reservation over the phone. You can only make it online, with a rewards account. When I tried to do that, I wrestled with their online platform for about 10 minutes before giving up. I don't know why you make it difficult for your customers. What a terrible policy. We booked a reservation for two with the sunset view at their newly renovated patio. We sat by the windows and watched the beautiful sunset as we dined. This branch is located by the marina in Redondo Beach. Valet parking is available for a fee but we found free street parking in nearby residential area. Our server was very energetic and friendly. Too bad, I wasn't able to take note of her name but she provided us excellent service. We already ate before coming here but still we arrested the Thai lettuce wrap. We never had this before but we just wanted something to nibble on while watching sunset. We were surprised with the portion. We had more than enough to share and it was delicious. We also shared a slice of skinny cheesecake with strawberries for dessert. It was the perfect dessert for our meal. Tried this location last night for my nephews birthday. He turned 8 and wanted Cheesecake Factory. I suggested this location due to the beach views. If you sit near the window you can see the beautiful Cali sunset. Our waitress was very welcoming and did a great job of servicing such a large party. The waiter for the table seemed very busy as we had to stop her for water and to take our order. We weren't asked for our drink order but we told her our drink order later on before food arrived.The waiter service and time took a bit long especially when there was only 2 tables besides ours in our area that had people sitting in. Once seated, things improved. We sat outside on a beautiful day, which I absolutely loved. The lunch menu, however, felt a bit underwhelming. One thing I do not like about this place is that you pay for parking whether you choose valet or not, it's still 7 dollars!? But I guess if you're Hangry it wouldn't matter anyway. It is a large restaurant, with much seating, depending where you're sitting you can have a nice little view of the Marina. It can get noisy here but nothing uncomfortable just bustling with people eating and talking. I love the broad menu, so many items to choose from. Brunch, lunch, and dinner, plus desserts with options for lunch specials and a skinnylicious menu too. Can be a bit overwhelming if you go in hungry but today we had an amazing waitress I did not catch her name but she was so helpful and helped me decided between two choices, gave us recommendations on desserts and helped us redeem rewards on the app. The servers here are always moving and keep the place running smoothly. We had a sweet 16 celebration for my niece last night at The Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach. Let me say it was packed and busy. The Sweetcorn Tamales are an absolute winner and if you have not tried them you should immediately! The fried truffle honey chicken is delicious as well. Our waiter was amazing as it was 11 of us and he truly did his best...But...we had some heck up with the food orders some items didn't make it to the table until we made him aware of it. It seems that the kitchen was a little overwhelmed and slow as heck the cheesecake's reputation has always been one where you can stop in and get great service and good food. Last night my brother in law never received his food until we had all been eating for a while and asked him where's your food. It wasn't until we made our server aware that his food never arrived and he went to get it. He brought it out fast as if it had been waiting to be picked up. The other thing is he had folks that were supposed to be helping him with our table and when my mashed potatoes never showed up he said "they haven't arrived yet" and I replied "nope"...that leads me to believe he was anticipating someone was to bring it. All to say...my brother in law called the manager over to our table to complain. Do not get me wrong we had a great time, but for a table of that size they needed to provide our server some support and they failed. We were having an amazing time until the food started to arrive and it was a mess. My Sister never received her corn either. We ordered the Signature Chicken Madeira and the Meatloaf Factory dish, and both were super satisfying. The Chicken Madeira was tender and flavorful, topped with perfectly melted cheese and that rich mushroom wine sauce. It comes with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and the whole plate just felt hearty and well-balanced. The Meatloaf Factory dish was classic comfort food done right. Thick-cut, juicy, and covered in savory brown gravy with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. It's one of those dishes that tastes homemade but elevated. Of course, you can't leave without cheesecake. We got the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake and the Red Velvet Cheesecake, and both were amazing. Had dinner with the fam at the Cheesecake Factory on a Friday night. Not too bad of a wait, only 10 minutes. Very good service. We were immediately seated and ordered beverages. They seemed to be better staffed than my last visit. We ordered few dishes from the Skinnylicious menu (Tuscan Chicken and Medallions of Beef), shrimp scampi and spaghetti and meatballs for our princess. The clam chowder was excellent with perfect consistency and nice amount of clams. The shrimp scampi was a little different than I imagined. The shrimp was battered and deep fried and served along side a lemon garlic pasta, and the dish lacked seasoning and salt. The rest of the meal was enjoyed by the family. I ended the meal with taking a slice of peach cheesecake with raspberry sauce swirl. It was delicious and a new cheesecake on the menu. Our server was friendly and accommodating. I think I had four refills on my iced tea too! It was pretty busy for a Friday night. read more

This was my first time visiting this particular Cheesecake Factory. The one positive was that we were seated fairly quickly. Unfortunately, everything after that took much longer than expected. We ordered waters, which took about 20 minutes to arrive, and when mine did, it was actually a Sprite. I don't drink soda. We also waited quite a while for bread, and our food came out almost immediately after the bread finally arrived. I noticed our server had been holding the bread while chatting with the table next to us, who appeared to be regulars. I mentioned that it was my birthday dinner and that I had a reward for a complimentary cheesecake. However, when the check was brought out, the reward had not been applied. When we eventually received the cheesecake, it was boxed to go--even though it was only 8:00 PM on a Saturday, nowhere near closing, and several tables around us were empty. It really took away from the special feeling of celebrating a birthday with dessert at the table. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't return to this location. read more

My boyfriend and I came in for his birthday and we were sat almost immediately. Unfortunately our server was not great. She came to the table with barely even a smile, didn't introduce herself, didn't ask us how we were doing and went straight into asking what we wanted to drink and if we were ready to order. We had gotten calamari to start and when we had ordered our food, we also ordered two cocktails at the same time. While she was checking our IDs, I mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday. I was expecting a big celebration or anything, but a simple "happy birthday" would've been nice. Nothing. Mind you we went on his actual birthday but maybe she didn't hear me since I was losing my voice. Our food comes and it was great, but our drinks never showed up. When she checks in and ask how everything is I let her know we were waiting on our two cocktails, she said "what were they again?" After I reminded her, I watched her go ring them in and saw no urgency. By the time we got the drinks we needed togo boxes. Later she asked if she wanted dessert and I mentioned again that it was his birthday and her response was, "That's totally up to you if you want to purchase a dessert." Still no happy birthday. I asked for the dessert menu, but by then my boyfriend didn't want dessert anymore, we just asked for the check. When she brought it, she also bought a sundae with a candle and said it was because we didn't get dessert. Funny enough, the receipt literally said "birthday sundae." I'm a server myself, so I understand people have off days and I try to be understanding. This wasn't about not getting a birthday song or free dessert. The issue was that from the moment we sat down, she seemed uninterested, dismissive, and inattentive. Forgetting our drinks until we reminded her and then not evening knowing what they were and then bringing them after the meal was frustrating, but the overall attitude throughout the experience was what stood out most. read more

Despite all the recent bad reviews we had a lovely lunch today. We arrived when they opened at 11:30 and was promptly seated. Our waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink and when he returned with our drinks he gave us info about the huge menu. We received warm bread and butter then placed our orders. Peruvian chicken bowl(new item), lunch portion miso salmon and steak medallions. Our food didn't take too long to arrive and everything was delicious. Took cheesecake slices home.
