I went on Sunday August 9th with my brother, sister and my 20 month old baby. The service from the start was horrible. We sat down at the table and the waiter took about 15 mins to bring the bread and butter. Once that was brought it over, she then brought over the menus with extra plates for the bread. It took another 25 mins for her to come back to our table to take our drinks and food order. She forgot my sons apple juice when she came back to bring us our drinks. She kept saying that it was near the bakery and she will pick it up once it was ready. This took yet another 15 mins to bring the kids apple juice back to the table. What was she doing squeezing and cutting up fresh apples?? Once she came back to the table she then proceeded with letting us know our order will be out soon. She didn't clear our tables of the menus or extra plates so I placed them at the one do the table. She never came back to our table to bring the food but instead another waiter brought the next tables food to us and our food to them. This took about 20 mins. I had to let them know that this was a mix up. My sister ordered a salad and had asked for honey Dijon mustard for it and then wasn't brought to her until she was half way done with the salad. After that I requested to speak With the manager as I was fed up with the service we were receiving. The waitress became very sarcastic and was using a tone as though she was mocking me so I matched her energy. The manager took about 10 mins to come to the table in which I informed him of the horrible service and her sarcastic tone, and all he could say was that "I'm sorry i will speak with her." He didn't offer to compensate our meal for the horrible service or anything. At that point I wanted to leave!!! Also the table next to us were fed up with the waitress that they got up and left without paying for their meal as it took her forever to come back to them to check out. When we finally did receive our ticket to pay it had the next tables order on our bill as she messed up. I brought this to her attention and all she could say was that she didn't close it out. I returned this week in the evening with the hopes that they would do better than last week when they completely missed the mark and made no apologies. Evening time, approximately 7PM - Total of three bartenders working, the seasoned experienced guy that's been there for ever working at the end of the bar. The younger kid and some new guy that had zero motivation to wait on me. I sat there for over 15 mins before I told this bartender that I wanted a drink. Apparently he was too busy trying to take a break and wanting to go upstairs, so he wasn't so happy with me that I ordered a drink. He made my drink, I then waited another 15 to 20 mins to get my dessert. At no time was I greeted by him, or the grumpy older bartender making drinks. Only the younger kid with the glasses and cute hair came all the way to my side and greeted me and he was not even my bartender. Once I got my drink, I never saw my bartender again. I usually start with a drink, dessert and then I order dinner. At no time did anyone ask me if I wanted to order anything else. The only other time I received any sort of engagement was when the more seasoned bartender noticed me asking to check out and pay. Drink: Warm, the mint was on the rotten side, lime pieces too large, it was like drinking dirty water. There is zero leadership present, no one inspecting how full the trash cans are at the bar causing a horrible smell to travel to where the customer is sitting. The Logistics: Being unable to make a reservation for a party over 6 is difficult enough, but being told by management that there was 'no wait' only to be forgotten for nearly 40 minutes was frustrating. Once seated, our party of 13 was crammed into a table intended for 9, which made for a very uncomfortable dining environment. The Food & Service: The bread service was disproportionately small for our group size, and while ordering was quick, the kitchen pacing was poor. The real issue was that my mother's pasta arrived undercooked, and even after pointing it out, the meal was not comped. To add insult to injury, a 30% gratuity was added automatically a service charge that did not reflect the quality of service we received. How I ended up in tears... It was birthday dinner with my family as my brother is a marine and he took leave to spend time for the holiday. We loved the view and we loved our waiter. He came out immediately with water and fresh bread . We ordered our food and apps. First our apps took forever. Like the table next to us sat after us and we sang her happy birthday with her dessert. 2nd our waiter kept checking on the kitchen. We got our apps and it tasted good. Then food came out but it was all separate times. My mom got hers late and my food got cold waiting for all the mishaps to be corrected. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish. My family and I arrived at 9:00 PM, an hour before closing. We were told the wait would be about 45 minutes for a table of five. That seemed reasonable, so we agreed. I had my entire family with me, including three young children home for summer break, and I wanted to treat them to a nice family dinner. By 9:45 PM, we still hadn't received a text. We stayed in the designated waiting area the entire time. During that wait, I watched multiple families leave after being seated while we remained the only party still waiting. I finally went to ask about our table, and the manager told me there still wasn't one available. Then, at 9:58 PM, I finally received the text saying our table was ready. I gathered my family as quickly as possible, and we walked inside at 10:00 PM only to be told they were closed. To make matters worse, the host (a young woman with green eyes whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) was incredibly rude. I asked to speak with a manager, and another manager, Oscar, came over. To his credit, he admitted they had done us wrong, but that was where his effort ended. He said he had no excuse, offered no solution, no attempt to make it right, and simply apologized before asking us to leave. The most frustrating part wasn't just missing out on dinner. it was that their poor communication cost us the opportunity to eat somewhere else. Had they been honest before 10:00 PM, we could have gone to another restaurant. Instead, every family friendly place nearby was already closed. We ended up with three hungry, disappointed kids and nowhere to go. Businesses make mistakes. What separates a good business from a bad one is how they handle those mistakes. Interior feels a bit dated. The tile floors, brick steps outside, the wooden couch seatings. I ordered avocado toast ($9.95), steak asada ($30.50), and free slice of cheesecake valued at $12.95. I picked up the food and got free complimentary bread inside which was super nice. Avocado toast was very good, comes with 3 small toast with lots of avocado and veggies on top. I thought the steak asada was a bit disappointing. For $30, would like more portion. I can get steak bowl from Chipotle for half the price and more portion. Steak was really good, the rice and corn is okay. What's unique about the cheesecake factory is that they have over 250 menu items and everything is prepared daily. We come here quite often because we like to. It is our sort of go-back-to restaurant when we can't decide on different ones to try or come to. We are very familiar with the good ambience here and always get good service and the usual delicious food each one in our group regularly orders when we come here. We usually get very nice dining experience here whether just me and my wife or with friends we dine out with. This is also one of our go-to places to bring relatives and friends visiting us either from out-of-town or from out-of the country. Tonight we had another wonderful experience here and I am giving a kudos and shoutout to the guy who served us on another busy night here, Legend. We also shared the avocado egg rolls, crab wontons, chicken lettuce wraps, and several other dishes. Everything came out fresh, looked beautiful, and tasted just as good as it looked. The staff made my birthday feel extra special by bringing out a dessert plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate while everyone sang. It's little touches like that that make celebrations memorable. Now for the best part...the cheesecake! My all-time favorite is the Mango Key Lime Cheesecake with the coconut crust. Ever since they introduced it, it's been my go-to. The Banana Cream Cheesecake is a close second, and the Pineapple Upside-Down Cheesecake is another must-try. My wife and I have come to this particular location at least half a dozen times. The most recent being yesterday afternoon. This is, however, my first time reviewing this restaurant. This place is very popular and seems to always be very packed. Yesterday, we were seated immediately as is usually the case. The only difference was that this time around we were offered a table outside, which we took. Turns out being outside has its pros and cons, at least during the day. On the one hand, the view was beautiful with the marina in full view. On the other hand, it was quite hot outside. The service here has ranged from pitiful to fantastic over the past few years. Yesterday, I would say it was very good. The food came out a little slow, but our server was very nice and attentive. The main reason we keep coming back is the food. For an appetizer, we had the Avocado Egg Rolls. This was our first time trying this dish and we enjoyed it a lot. It was crispy and stuffed with fresh avocados. The green sauce, which was a bit sweet, paired nicely with the egg rolls. For our main course, my wife had the Crusted Chicken Romano while I had the grilled ribeye with fries substituted over mashed potatoes. This is what we both usually order and we both enjoyed our meals. I particularly liked my steak yesterday since it had a large rib cap on it. Came here the other night with my family for dinner and we absolutely loved it. I've always been a fan of Cheesecake Factory, especially because their menu has so many options. Whether you're in the mood for pasta, non-pasta dishes, or dessert, you really can't go wrong. My all-time favorite is the chipotle chicken pasta it's super flavorful, really filling, and the portion size is huge (definitely enough to take home if you can't finish it). Everything we had was delicious, and of course you can't skip dessert here. We shared the banana cream cheesecake, and it was light, creamy, and the perfect size to split. So good This location is great too. I love the vibe, and since it's near the beach, you can even get ocean views depending on where you sit. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and the interior felt very welcoming. The staff really made the experience even better. They were kind, patient, and super accommodating especially since we had elderly family members in our party. They made sure we were seated somewhere comfortable. Extremely disappointed. We love the cheesecake factory, and I could go on and on about why, but our last visit soured everything. Our family was traveling through LA, and wanted to see Redondo Beach. We decided to have the Uber drop us at the cheesecake factory, it seemed like a great location. We had a couple of suitcases and the staff would not store them for us, or allow us to even bring them in. My husband ran in to ask before bringing anything to the door. We asked to make a reservation for a few hours later and we're told no. The only way to make a reservation is to download the cheesecake, factory app, create an account, and make the reservation online in the app. I don't know if the hostess was being difficult or that's just their policy now. The hostess didn't want to hear my husband. We would've happily paid extra fees. He was extremely kind and polite. The staff seemed like they didn't want anything to deal with their jobs. We walked our suitcases up the block and found a really wonderful local restaurant overlooking the water who were happy to accommodate. Had been wanting to try their brunch menu for a very long time now. Came in on a Sunday morning around 11 and it was kind of empty but about 30min to an hour later it got very busy. One of the plates for the appetizers had a hair on it, the light in there is kind of dim so I can understand how it was overlooked. You can hardly see it on the picture but it was there. Kids got an Oreo shake, they are tough critics but insisted the shake was 10/10. I got the chicken chilaquiles, they aren't your normal Mexican chilaquiles, presentation was questionable and I was already annoyed thinking I wouldn't like them. I was wrong. I came here as a party of two, and we were seated pretty quickly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the experience. My biggest complaint is how little attention the servers paid to us. After being seated, we looked through the menu and waited for someone to take our order. We waited 20-30 minutes (or even longer), and no one ever came by. Multiple servers walked past our table, looked at us, and still didn't ask if we had been helped, if we were ready to order, or if we needed anything. What made it even more frustrating was that another party who was seated before us had their order taken, received their complimentary bread, and even got their food before we were able to place our order. I honestly found that ridiculous. Customer service here really needs to improve. To make matters worse, I hadn't eaten anything since the morning because I was looking forward to having dinner at Cheesecake Factory and finally filling up my stomach. When we brought the issue to management's attention, the first manager came over with a cocky attitude and repeatedly accused us of eating the food when we hadn't. A second manager, who appeared to be the supervisor, came out and acted as though there was nothing wrong with the food. After wasting so much time waiting for remade dishes that were just as bad as the originals, we ended up leaving hungry. Every replacement was just as disappointing as the first. This branch is located by the marina in Redondo Beach. Valet parking is available for a fee but we found free street parking in nearby residential area. Our server was very energetic and friendly. Too bad, I wasn't able to take note of her name but she provided us excellent service. We already ate before coming here but still we arrested the Thai lettuce wrap. We never had this before but we just wanted something to nibble on while watching sunset. We were surprised with the portion. We had more than enough to share and it was delicious. There was plenty of parking. We did not have reservations but it was not busy for 1pm on a Friday. We were seated immediately in the patio and as our hostess led us to our seats, it seemed to go on and on. We loved the view of the ocean beyond the boat docks. We were served by Christian who provided excellent service. He seemed to really know the menu and was courteous and friendly. I normally get the Chicken Farfalle but it's not offered in a smaller size so I opted for the Chicken Piccata. My friend had the fettucini Alfredo. The pasta was amazing. My lunch plate was perfectly portioned. We also saved room for dessert as we could not leave without having a slice of Banana Cream Cheesecake. The bananas were fresh and ripe. I've been sitting on this $25 gift card that I got years ago. After taking a walk along the beach, we decided to stop by for some cheesecake. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon and it appeared that this spot has valet parking only. There are plenty of paid parking lots nearby if you don't want to valet park. We thought we get more than two slices for $25, but the cheesecakes are priced high. Some full cheesecakes were going for $75! If you're purchasing cheesecake only, there is a separate counter. We ordered the Tiramusu and the Caramel Pecan Turtle. Service was fast and friendly. We took the cheesecake home and the slices were absolutely delicious! Just like we remembered. Came here today to pick up a birthday cake for my girlfriend because she loves their desserts. When I arrived, I politely informed the valet staff that I was just doing a quick pickup. Unfortunately, the valet worker was extremely rude and unhelpful regarding the parking situation, which escalated into an unnecessary argument. It's extremely disappointing to deal with such poor customer service and hostility, especially on a special day. The food and cakes might be good, but the unprofessional attitude at the entrance completely ruined the experience. I expected much better from this location. read more

First time visiting this location! I really wanted to like it. I normally go to brea location and it's packed so we decided to try out a new one. I had seen the view online of the marina which is why we decided to come. I was hoping it would be great service as well. However I have put times below of a holiday service. 745pm checked in 800pm reservation 806pm host took us to sit down,our original table they took us to already had a party seated so they got a table for us together quickly 815pm waiter brought us bread 820pm we stopped the waiter for water 829pm we stopped the waiter to take order 850pm waiter checked on us gave more water 855pm Food received 913pm asked for desert order 930pm Cheesecake received along with check. Paid and left. Visited this location of Cheesecake Factory on Labor Day. The view of the marina is nice to be looking out at the boats while dining. It seemed busy as the host told me there was a bit of a wait for a table and the tables were full. I sat at the bar while waiting. It took about 7 mins from the time I sat at the bar to get a drink. The waiter for the table seemed very busy as we had to stop her for water and to take our order. We weren't asked for our drink order but we told her our drink order later on before food arrived.The waiter service and time took a bit long especially when there was only 2 tables besides ours in our area that had people sitting in. Only went here because my daughter wanted her birthday dinner here. She had never been I hadn't been here for at least 17 years! I wasn't impressed, $200 for 4 people and this didn't include dessert. Luckily I had reservations or it can be quite a wait. You have to do $6 valet. Waiter was ok, only thing we enjoyed was the fried zucchini, Brussels were too sweet, meatloaf plate was too salty, Cajun pasta was nothing special and the garlic Parmesan crusted chicken was mediocre at best. It's very loud in there as well. I don't plan on returning, at least not by choice. read more

This sadly marks the last time I go to The Cheesecake Factory. TCF used to be an upscale casual dining experience -- a few steps above Chili's and just under a Chart House. It was a solid performer in that range. Sadly, I've witnessed a systematic decline that has ended my relationship with the chain. Food Quality: I've noticed the decline for some time, but it has finally reached a point I'm unwilling to overlook. The fried foods taste like they're cooked in very low-quality oil. The calamari batter, for example, was underwhelming and felt like prepackaged frozen chunks paired with sauces straight out of a Sysco catalog. The entire appetizer experience has fallen apart -- and not just at the Redondo Beach location, but nationwide. I recently had the same experience at the Millenia Mall location in Orlando. The Chicken Caesar Salad used to be a standout menu item. It had a distinct ancho flavor in the dressing that gave it an original, zesty taste at a time when many chain restaurants abandoned traditional recipes to appeal to broader palates. TCF stood out because it stayed true to those flavors. That's gone now. Today it tastes like bitter mayonnaise dumped over lettuce. The chicken is rubbery and has the texture and appearance of the lowest-quality fast-food chicken breast imaginable. Picture a grilled chicken sandwich patty pulled out from between the buns and laid on top of a salad -- that's what it resembles. It used to be my go-to order. Now I couldn't get through more than two bites of a lunch portion. Again, this is not isolated to one location. I've experienced this at multiple Cheesecake Factory restaurants across the country. Service: Where do I start? The staff used to be held to a higher standard. Crisp white shirts, tightly pressed black aprons, polished presentation -- it gave the feeling of a tightly run ship. The service often felt above the menu prices. Servers appeared well-trained, professional, and attentive. That standard is gone. Uniforms are sloppy, inconsistent, and lack continuity. Bright white shirts next to off-white and cream-colored tops -- it all feels careless. Then there are the masks. About 90% of the staff were wearing them. Personally, it makes me feel like the staff is sick, and if you're sick, you shouldn't be working in food service. Someone at our table suggested it was more of a political statement. I'm not sure if that's better or worse, but either way, it feels like something that should be left at the door. The level of service -- or lack thereof -- was shocking. Pre-bussing has become a lost art. Food runners dropped dishes onto the table like a jigsaw puzzle, nearly knocking drinks over in the process. One plate was literally hanging one-third off the edge of the table over someone's lap. Before I could ask for appetizer plates to be removed, the runner had already disappeared. Bussers avoided eye contact, leaving us sitting at a battlefield of empty plates and bread dishes with no room for entrees -- not that they deserved the title. Eventually, I stacked the plates myself and placed them on the floor so we could eat comfortably. The server missed countless upsell opportunities. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail, despite the first drinks taking nearly 20 minutes to arrive. A Mai Tai was delivered without a straw -- frustrating if you've ever seen the size and shape of their glasses. The server only returned a handful of times, then eventually dropped the check and thanked us without ever mentioning dessert. At The Cheesecake Factory. I took that as a sign. Perhaps even the restaurant's namesake staple has declined alongside the food quality and service. So I paid, left a 22% tip, and made the decision not to return. The lack of interaction from the staff made the experience feel cold and industrial. I wasn't looking for long conversations, but basic politeness, cordial greetings, and simple pleasantries would have gone a long way. Instead, nearly every interaction felt hostile. Walking through the restaurant, saying "excuse me" or stepping aside for staff, I was met repeatedly with expressions of disdain -- even from what appeared to be management. I wasn't rude, upset, or confrontational. I was smiling and trying to be friendly. I was desperately looking for any reason to consider coming back someday. The valet host was the exception. The only person smiling all afternoon. A gentleman who drives from Riverside all the way to Redondo Beach to work valet. I salute that one man. To the rest of the Sunday midday staff: I genuinely wish you a better life somewhere other than a place you seem to hate so much. It's a sad realization, as I said from the beginning. But in a time when dining out has become an expensive luxury for many people, restaurants have to do better. read more

For the most part, our experience at The Cheesecake Factory was nice, with just a few small hiccups. Making a reservation required using an app that wasn't very user-friendly and took longer than expected--I was aiming for a 2:45 p.m. reservation, but by the time I created an account and dealt with repeated logouts, that time was no longer available. Once seated, things improved. We sat outside on a beautiful day, which I absolutely loved. The lunch menu, however, felt a bit underwhelming. I was also surprised that while there was a steady crowd, it didn't feel nearly as packed as it has in the past. This review is strictly for the parking valet staff. All 3 of them that were there yesterday evening. They were incredibly rude, and had so much attitude. Never in my life have I ever felt so disrespected. They had ran out of handicapped parking spots, and basically our only other options were to either pay $7 for valet, or park all the way out on the street. My mother has a broken leg. How is this type of treatment considered acceptable? Aside from this very negative experience, I have been coming to this Cheesecake Factory for almost 30 years and I love my experience each time, except for this one. Which is truly disheartening because I will be moving out-of-state soon, so to leave on a negative experience is going to alter my perception of this establishment for the rest of my life which is truly unfortunate. I truly hope these men at the valet can learn how to properly approach guests, learn to be kind, and provide proper accommodations for their disabled guests in the future. read more

We've eaten at this location a number of times. Its one of my wife's favorite places. Great view of the harbor. Food is always tasty, if a bit overpriced. I'm not a fan of the parking set up. What triggered me to write this review is trying to make a reservation. They will not take a reservation over the phone. You can only make it online, with a rewards account. When I tried to do that, I wrestled with their online platform for about 10 minutes before giving up. I don't know why you make it difficult for your customers. What a terrible policy. I will simply no longer eat here when I want to make a reservation. We ate somewhere else that evening. It was a restaraunt that simply answered the phone and took down our reservation. read more

We had the pleasure of being served by Wendy today on May 24 between 1:30-2:30 PM, and she truly went above and beyond. Her attitude was absolutely amazing -- kind, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. It's honestly rare to come across customer service like this nowadays. Only valet parking- $6 - service is prompt (not a busy time) service was very friendly, professional and prompt. Host gave us a table by the window and the view of the harbor and sunset was spectacular. Food was so delicious. Plenty to choose from menu. read more
