A GOOD BUSINESS GETS EVEN BETTER WHEN IT LISTENS This isn't a "gotcha" review. It's the opposite. When a business gets most things right but misses a few details, honest and respectful feedback can help. More importantly, how a business responds often says more than the mistake itself. During our visit to The Cheesecake Factory, our table ordered several different meals. The salmon salads were fine, and I really enjoyed the chef salad. However, the steak medallions ordered medium rare arrived overcooked, and the spaghetti wasn't to my liking. Sandwiches intended to be packaged to go for a young teenager initially arrived prepared for the table. So, yes, a few things went wrong. What stood out most, though, was how the staff responded. Our server was polite, attentive, professional, and a good listener. The parking attendants and front-desk staff were also courteous. After hearing that we had concerns, a manager or supervisor came to our table. She didn't become defensive or offer a quick apology and walk away. She listened, asked questions, and looked for solutions. I found the spaghetti too heavily sauced, and the flavor wasn't working for me. The meatballs were good, but the pasta itself wasn't what I wanted. Since I'm diabetic, I probably wouldn't have eaten the entire meal anyway, but when you have a taste for something, you still want to enjoy it. The manager offered a simple, thoughtful solution: she had the pasta brought back with the noodles and sauce separated into different containers. Problem solved. That small gesture reminded me: Customer service isn't about never making mistakes. It's about what you do after a mistake is discovered. She turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a much better one, and I appreciated that. I would still recommend The Cheesecake Factory, and I would return. Next time, I'll also be clearer about my preferences, including lighter sauce, specific preparation instructions, and how takeout items should be packaged. There's responsibility on both sides. Still, I would offer a few thoughts to any business that serves the public: Confirm the request. When several people are ordering, repeating important details can prevent mistakes before they reach the kitchen. Prepare it like someone you care about is going to receive it. Whether you're cooking a meal, delivering a product, repairing a car, or providing a professional service, ask: "Would I be proud to receive this exactly as I'm delivering it?" Efficiency and speed matter, but so do the details. Above all, never forget that business is about people. When employees feel respected, trained, supported, and appreciated, they're more likely to extend that same care to customers. That creates trust, loyalty, and relationships. Dinner (after 4 PM) = $7 valet parking on evenings + weekends + holidays. Free self parking in the self-parking lot Monday to Friday during lunchtime only. [Atmosphere & service]: Casual dining atmosphere and nothing to write home about. Visitors can make an advance RSVP on the website. Since our party informed the staff that this was for a b-day celebration dinner, the staff gave our party a small free b-day sundae after our party finished our meals. Service was pretty standard. [Menu]: Too many items on the menu (over 200+ items), but the brown bread served at The Cheesecake Factory is a thing of legend and it can even be found at Ralph's. I went yesterday for the Cajun salmon, and to my disappointment, they were completely sold out! I was crushed... devastated! But it's not the restaurant's fault since that Cajun salmon has gone viral on TikTok. My palate was all set for that Cajun salmon with the corn mashed potatoes and extra sauce on the side. I had already planned the whole meal in my mind! I did end up having the mac & cheese balls and bread, which were good, but let's be honest--they were no substitute for the star of the show. We like the location of this Cheesecake Factory near the marina, and it's convenient after riding bikes or spending time at the beach. We made a reservation online ahead of time and were seated right on time. Our servers were great, polite, attentive, and friendly. Unfortunately, the kitchen continues to be the weak point at this location. I ordered the orange chicken, which I've had many times at other Cheesecake Factory locations. Normally it comes out looking nicely presented, but this time it looked like the rice and chicken had just been slapped onto the plate. The rice was hard and dry, so I asked to have it replaced. Our server took care of it without any problem, but the second serving really wasn't much better. The orange chicken itself also seemed to be missing something and wasn't nearly as flavorful as usual. My wife normally gets the beet salad with salmon, but they were out of salmon. They were also out of bread. Our food also took a very long time to come out, which was odd because the restaurant didn't seem especially busy. Thinking back, though, this really isn't an isolated experience. I've had similar issues here with the shepherd's pie and the crispy pineapple chicken and shrimp, and the food consistently seems to take longer to come out than at other locations. We regularly visit the Arcadia and Pasadena Cheesecake Factory locations and haven't had these same problems. The Redondo Beach location is in a great spot and the service has always been good, but unfortunately the food and kitchen consistency just aren't there. Cheesecake Factory is a staple place for us for classic food, it never disappoints. We love coming in for their lunch specials, which end at 5, whereas most places end around 3. These portions definitely don't skimp. Some of our favorites are the Pasta da Vinci, Meatloaf, and Chicken Picarta. We tried the fried mac and cheese for the first time this visit and they were crispy, creamy and paired really well with the sauce it came like a creamy tomato! Another first for this visit was the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, so light, simple, and delicious. One thing I will say, is maybe next time I would say something about out seats before we were sat as we were along the windows and it did get a bit too warm for us. We chose this location for a family July birthday celebration, but unfortunately, it was a lackluster experience from start to finish. The Logistics: Being unable to make a reservation for a party over 6 is difficult enough, but being told by management that there was 'no wait' only to be forgotten for nearly 40 minutes was frustrating. Once seated, our party of 13 was crammed into a table intended for 9, which made for a very uncomfortable dining environment. The Food & Service: The bread service was disproportionately small for our group size, and while ordering was quick, the kitchen pacing was poor. The real issue was that my mother's pasta arrived undercooked, and even after pointing it out, the meal was not comped. To add insult to injury, a 30% gratuity was added automatically a service charge that did not reflect the quality of service we received. How I ended up in tears... It was birthday dinner with my family as my brother is a marine and he took leave to spend time for the holiday. We loved the view and we loved our waiter. He came out immediately with water and fresh bread . We ordered our food and apps. First our apps took forever. Like the table next to us sat after us and we sang her happy birthday with her dessert. 2nd our waiter kept checking on the kitchen. We got our apps and it tasted good. Then food came out but it was all separate times. My mom got hers late and my food got cold waiting for all the mishaps to be corrected. They gave me a free cheesecake and offered to sing happy birthday and comped a few other things... the manager tried his best to do what he can but the evening was an absolute nightmare. Interior feels a bit dated. The tile floors, brick steps outside, the wooden couch seatings. I ordered avocado toast ($9.95), steak asada ($30.50), and free slice of cheesecake valued at $12.95. I picked up the food and got free complimentary bread inside which was super nice. Avocado toast was very good, comes with 3 small toast with lots of avocado and veggies on top. I thought the steak asada was a bit disappointing. For $30, would like more portion. I can get steak bowl from Chipotle for half the price and more portion. Steak was really good, the rice and corn is okay. What's unique about the cheesecake factory is that they have over 250 menu items and everything is prepared daily. I had my entire family with me, including three young children home for summer break, and I wanted to treat them to a nice family dinner. By 9:45 PM, we still hadn't received a text. We stayed in the designated waiting area the entire time. During that wait, I watched multiple families leave after being seated while we remained the only party still waiting. I finally went to ask about our table, and the manager told me there still wasn't one available. Then, at 9:58 PM, I finally received the text saying our table was ready. I gathered my family as quickly as possible, and we walked inside at 10:00 PM only to be told they were closed. To make matters worse, the host (a young woman with green eyes whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) was incredibly rude. I asked to speak with a manager, and another manager, Oscar, came over. To his credit, he admitted they had done us wrong, but that was where his effort ended. He said he had no excuse, offered no solution, no attempt to make it right, and simply apologized before asking us to leave. The most frustrating part wasn't just missing out on dinner. it was that their poor communication cost us the opportunity to eat somewhere else. Had they been honest before 10:00 PM, we could have gone to another restaurant. Instead, every family friendly place nearby was already closed. We ended up with three hungry, disappointed kids and nowhere to go. Businesses make mistakes. What separates a good business from a bad one is how they handle those mistakes. This is my favorite location! Plenty of parking and right next to the beach. I recommend the outdoor seating on a hot day, it's shaded and you get the perfect view. We had the strawberry and classic spritz -- so tasty and refreshing! For an appetizer, we split the Thai lettuce wraps with chicken were so flavorful and perfect to share. My wife and I have come to this particular location at least half a dozen times. The most recent being yesterday afternoon. This is, however, my first time reviewing this restaurant. That being said, there's only been one occasion that I can recall where my wife and I have had to wait more than 15-30 minutes to be seated. Yesterday, we were seated immediately as is usually the case. The only difference was that this time around we were offered a table outside, which we took. Turns out being outside has its pros and cons, at least during the day. On the one hand, the view was beautiful with the marina in full view. On the other hand, it was quite hot outside. The service here has ranged from pitiful to fantastic over the past few years. Yesterday, I would say it was very good. The food came out a little slow, but our server was very nice and attentive. The main reason we keep coming back is the food. For an appetizer, we had the Avocado Egg Rolls. This was our first time trying this dish and we enjoyed it a lot. It was crispy and stuffed with fresh avocados. The green sauce, which was a bit sweet, paired nicely with the egg rolls. For our main course, my wife had the Crusted Chicken Romano while I had the grilled ribeye with fries substituted over mashed potatoes. This is what we both usually order and we both enjoyed our meals. I particularly liked my steak yesterday since it had a large rib cap on it. We, of course, capped off our meal with cheesecakes, which were fantastic. I love the strawberry cheesecake! Came here the other night with my family for dinner and we absolutely loved it. I've always been a fan of Cheesecake Factory, especially because their menu has so many options. Whether you're in the mood for pasta, non-pasta dishes, or dessert, you really can't go wrong. My all-time favorite is the chipotle chicken pasta it's super flavorful, really filling, and the portion size is huge (definitely enough to take home if you can't finish it). Everything we had was delicious, and of course you can't skip dessert here. We shared the banana cream cheesecake, and it was light, creamy, and the perfect size to split. So good This location is great too. I love the vibe, and since it's near the beach, you can even get ocean views depending on where you sit. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and the interior felt very welcoming. The staff really made the experience even better. They were kind, patient, and super accommodating especially since we had elderly family members in our party. They made sure we were seated somewhere comfortable. Our waitress was amazing (sadly didn't catch her name), but she truly deserves her flowers. She made sure everything came out correctly and was kind enough to box and bag our food for us. Turns out that all the cheesecakes were sliced thinner than usual. One of the cakes the celebration cheesecake was going bad. The taste was completely off. We got the wrong pasta. Salad was a disappointment as well. The Chicken was so thinly sliced it was barely there and the dressing was wrong. Called and was put on hold for a very long time and then hung up. Called again and tried to get it corrected but the Manager was in a bad mood and stood by the errors. Waitress claimed that she didn't hear what was said. I asked to move tables, they said they couldn't accommodate us right now because they were busy, mind you the restaurant was empty. Our waitress had zero personality. I had to ask her many times if we could get a refill on our drinks and even more bread. Five times I had to remind her it was my daughter's birthday so they could bring out a little treat for her, but the cherry on top was finding out that they did away with the free parking and now everything cost to park. Had been wanting to try their brunch menu for a very long time now. Came in on a Sunday morning around 11 and it was kind of empty but about 30min to an hour later it got very busy. Our waitress was amazing, very friendly and attentive. She's one of the main reasons why I am giving this review 5 stars. One of the plates for the appetizers had a hair on it, the light in there is kind of dim so I can understand how it was overlooked. You can hardly see it on the picture but it was there. Kids got an Oreo shake, they are tough critics but insisted the shake was 10/10. I got the chicken chilaquiles, they aren't your normal Mexican chilaquiles, presentation was questionable and I was already annoyed thinking I wouldn't like them. I was wrong. They were delicious, the salsa used tasted very homemade!! It was very savory, the chicken was shredded and cooked to perfection. The scrambled eggs were also buttery and cooked just right. Extremely disappointed. We love the cheesecake factory, and I could go on and on about why, but our last visit soured everything. Our family was traveling through LA, and wanted to see Redondo Beach. We decided to have the Uber drop us at the cheesecake factory, it seemed like a great location. We had a couple of suitcases and the staff would not store them for us, or allow us to even bring them in. My husband ran in to ask before bringing anything to the door. We asked to make a reservation for a few hours later and we're told no. The only way to make a reservation is to download the cheesecake, factory app, create an account, and make the reservation online in the app. I don't know if the hostess was being difficult or that's just their policy now. The hostess didn't want to hear my husband. We would've happily paid extra fees. He was extremely kind and polite. The staff seemed like they didn't want anything to deal with their jobs. We walked our suitcases up the block and found a really wonderful local restaurant overlooking the water who were happy to accommodate. Being there during brunch time was nice because the restaurant is otherwise pretty dim at night time. Their monte cristo is the dish I always get when I come for brunch. 4 solid half cuts of their sandwich. It's sweet and salty with a nice crunch in the middle. You get strawberry jam to put on top so it's a mouth full of flavor! You can also customize your own breakfast as well. We got their omelet with a bowl of fruit. Sour dough comes on the side. We come here quite often because we like to. It is our sort of go-back-to restaurant when we can't decide on different ones to try or come to. We are very familiar with the good ambience here and always get good service and the usual delicious food each one in our group regularly orders when we come here. We usually get very nice dining experience here whether just me and my wife or with friends we dine out with. This is also one of our go-to places to bring relatives and friends visiting us either from out-of-town or from out-of the country. Tonight we had another wonderful experience here and I am giving a kudos and shoutout to the guy who served us on another busy night here, Legend. We love his personality, the way he handled helping us and the others around us, as we have observed. We talked about his style within our group and my wife described this as "Legend owned his area of responsibility by being cool, friendly but very professional and highly efficient. Birthdays call for cheesecake, and there was no better place to celebrate than The Cheesecake Factory! Yes, it was packed and the wait was about 45 minutes, but honestly, we didn't even care. We grabbed a drink, soaked in the lively atmosphere, enjoyed each other's company, and knew we were about to have another amazing meal. This has been one of my favorite restaurants ever since The Cheesecake Factory came to California. Whether you're craving comfort food, something lighter, or a decadent dessert, there's truly something for everyone. I ordered my usual favorite from the SkinnyLicious menu--the Steak Medallions--and they were cooked perfectly. We also shared the avocado egg rolls, crab wontons, chicken lettuce wraps, and several other dishes. Everything came out fresh, looked beautiful, and tasted just as good as it looked. The staff made my birthday feel extra special by bringing out a dessert plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate while everyone sang. It's little touches like that that make celebrations memorable. Now for the best part...the cheesecake! My all-time favorite is the Mango Key Lime Cheesecake with the coconut crust. Ever since they introduced it, it's been my go-to. The Banana Cream Cheesecake is a close second, and the Pineapple Upside-Down Cheesecake is another must-try. If my metabolism still worked like it did in my 20s, I'd probably order a different slice every visit until I'd tried every single one on the menu! The Cheesecake Factory continues to be one of those places that never lets me down. Great food, huge portions, endless choices, delicious desserts, and a fun atmosphere every time. We booked a reservation for two with the sunset view at their newly renovated patio. We sat by the windows and watched the beautiful sunset as we dined. This branch is located by the marina in Redondo Beach. Valet parking is available for a fee but we found free street parking in nearby residential area. Our server was very energetic and friendly. Too bad, I wasn't able to take note of her name but she provided us excellent service. We already ate before coming here but still we arrested the Thai lettuce wrap. We never had this before but we just wanted something to nibble on while watching sunset. We were surprised with the portion. We had more than enough to share and it was delicious. We also shared a slice of skinny cheesecake with strawberries for dessert. It was the perfect dessert for our meal. I'm looking forward to visit again soon and to enjoy another delicious meal while watching sunset in the marina. read more

I've been sitting on this $25 gift card that I got years ago. After taking a walk along the beach, we decided to stop by for some cheesecake. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon and it appeared that this spot has valet parking only. There are plenty of paid parking lots nearby if you don't want to valet park. We thought we get more than two slices for $25, but the cheesecakes are priced high. Some full cheesecakes were going for $75! If you're purchasing cheesecake only, there is a separate counter. We ordered the Tiramusu and the Caramel Pecan Turtle. Service was fast and friendly. We took the cheesecake home and the slices were absolutely delicious! Just like we remembered. Honestly, such a disappointing experience, especially for the price. We waited about 30 minutes just to be seated, and once we sat down, the bread was clearly old and tasted strange and stale. To make matters worse, the utensils and even the plates had visible stains and residue on them. I actually had to clean them myself with the water they provided because they were so dirty. Our food then took 50 minutes to come out, while we watched people who arrived after us receive their meals first. When our food finally came, my order was incorrect and they had to keep going back and forth to fix it. We ordered a steak medium, and what came out looked like a puck of charcoal. It was incredibly tough literally like chewing on a tire and had almost no flavor. The corn was soggy, and the green beans were completely undercooked. They also told us they would bring out fresh bread, but it never came. Overall, the service was frustrating, the food was disappointing, and the cleanliness was unacceptable. First time visiting this location! I really wanted to like it. I normally go to brea location and it's packed so we decided to try out a new one. I had seen the view online of the marina which is why we decided to come. I was hoping it would be great service as well. However I have put times below of a holiday service. 745pm checked in 800pm reservation 806pm host took us to sit down,our original table they took us to already had a party seated so they got a table for us together quickly 815pm waiter brought us bread 820pm we stopped the waiter for water 829pm we stopped the waiter to take order 850pm waiter checked on us gave more water 855pm Food received 913pm asked for desert order 930pm Cheesecake received along with check. Paid and left. Visited this location of Cheesecake Factory on Labor Day. The view of the marina is nice to be looking out at the boats while dining. It seemed busy as the host told me there was a bit of a wait for a table and the tables were full. I sat at the bar while waiting. It took about 7 mins from the time I sat at the bar to get a drink. The waiter for the table seemed very busy as we had to stop her for water and to take our order. We weren't asked for our drink order but we told her our drink order later on before food arrived.The waiter service and time took a bit long especially when there was only 2 tables besides ours in our area that had people sitting in. I think the restaurant could use more help between waiter and host especially on a holiday. read more

This location is the largest Cheesecake Factory I have been to. We ended up parking at Redondo Beach and walked up but realized that valet may have been free during the posted lunchtimes on weekdays. There was plenty of parking. We did not have reservations but it was not busy for 1pm on a Friday. We were seated immediately in the patio and as our hostess led us to our seats, it seemed to go on and on. We loved the view of the ocean beyond the boat docks. We were served by Christian who provided excellent service. He seemed to really know the menu and was courteous and friendly. I normally get the Chicken Farfalle but it's not offered in a smaller size so I opted for the Chicken Piccata. My friend had the fettucini Alfredo. The pasta was amazing. My lunch plate was perfectly portioned. We also saved room for dessert as we could not leave without having a slice of Banana Cream Cheesecake. The bananas were fresh and ripe. Only went here because my daughter wanted her birthday dinner here. She had never been I hadn't been here for at least 17 years! I wasn't impressed, $200 for 4 people and this didn't include dessert. Luckily I had reservations or it can be quite a wait. You have to do $6 valet. Waiter was ok, only thing we enjoyed was the fried zucchini, Brussels were too sweet, meatloaf plate was too salty, Cajun pasta was nothing special and the garlic Parmesan crusted chicken was mediocre at best. I came here as a party of two, and we were seated pretty quickly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the experience. My biggest complaint is how little attention the servers paid to us. After being seated, we looked through the menu and waited for someone to take our order. We waited 20-30 minutes (or even longer), and no one ever came by. Multiple servers walked past our table, looked at us, and still didn't ask if we had been helped, if we were ready to order, or if we needed anything. What made it even more frustrating was that another party who was seated before us had their order taken, received their complimentary bread, and even got their food before we were able to place our order. I honestly found that ridiculous. Customer service here really needs to improve. To make matters worse, I hadn't eaten anything since the morning because I was looking forward to having dinner at Cheesecake Factory and finally filling up my stomach. Instead, I spent my time waiting to be acknowledged. After this experience, I know I won't be returning to this location. July 3, 2026--to whoever worked this shift, thank you for the uninviting experience. One last thing: the appetizers were extremely overpriced for such small portions. read more
