We went to see Elvis which we thoroughly enjoyed; however we will not be back. I giving one star because I can't give lower. I had fried chicken (overcooked, dry, stringing and no spices). My friend had prime rib which she ordered medium rare and it was cremated (dry and mostly fat). From now on I will pay attention to reviews as someone stated they had a new cook. Great atmosphere, safe dining. They separated the dining areas in a perfect and tasteful way. Food is amazing, the waiter is struggling to make the best of a tough situation. I would like to ask the owner what is up with the air conditioning. We were there last night to dance to thaddeus rose and it is far too hot in there, even when NOT dancing. It is extremely uncomfortable. I'm sure your employees wpuld very much appreciate busting their butts in a cooler environment. Our experience was much the same as the other negative reviewers. Horrible! It took 30 minutes to get our breakfast and there was only one other table when we got there. Food was ok (my over easy eggs we're actually over medium). Worse part was the service. Best word to describe is "non-existent." Once we got our breakfast our server never came back. I wanted to send my eggs back but couldn't because no one checked on us. No refills on our coffee or tea. There were 2 servers and they seemed to hide in the kitchen. Here's the truth about Chicken Ranch and l am not going to sugarcoat it..... We just got back from Chicken Ranch it was our first visit and it will be our last.Went on a Friday night to try fish and found out it was catfish (not fans)and so I ordered half a slab of ribs and french fries, because baked potatoes weren't going to be ready for another 40 minutes and my husband ordered the fried chicken & mashed potatoes but got fries instead. no big deal,we over looked it but after tasting the fries, they tasted like fish and my husband's chicken tasted like fish so apparently they are cooking everything in the same oil and that's disgusting and the ribs were not tender, service was extremely slow and to top it all off they charge differently from the first bill because we were using a credit card although our friend also used a credit card, and his bill was the same,the band was the only good thing about the whole experience which is too bad, the place is cute has and has great potential Bye Chicken Ranch we have a lot of other places to try and find a great restaurant read more

Went there on Saturday the 11th. Food was good no complaints. Entertainment was great. Got the bill and the fun started. Looked over the bill everything looked good gave the waitress my CC. When she came back with the receipt to sign the prices were different. Asked for another staff for a manager, he asked what was wrong, and when I told him he very nastily said there's a sign on the door about a 3% upcharge for using CC. So, on the way out our entire party of 12 scoured the doors to find the notice. NO WHERE was it posted about an upcharge. Be careful using CC's there, they will rip you off!!! My Friend and I went there the other day & had a horrible experience, They don't deserve any stars. There were 3 tables, maybe 4, Our food came half an hour later, the plates were dirty, my friends Hamburger Buns were burnt. I had to ask to clean my plate, I had ordered a salad with shrimps OMG! The shrimps were practically raw & the salad was soaked in Vinaigrette, I was not offered an alternative or an apology. I had ordered tea that was undrinkable, so I ordered coffee that finally came after 20 min. This young man did NOT care at all. I have never experienced such bad attitude with such bad food. I would not recommend this place, maybe at night for the music, but the rest of the time it's not worth the trip. I have a group that has been going here for a year. We go to see Thaddeous Rose a great performer. They have good food and decent dance floor. The only problem is the place is hot, the ac is never turned low enough to keep the place cool. It's bad when you sweating just sitting eating dinner. The chicken ranch not only serves up excellent food but it is also a fun place to hangout. I was told the food is made from scratch and it tastes like it too. I was there last night and can't believe how bad the service was. I really like the music on Friday night and enjoy a drink but couldn't get any service in my booth. The waiter was running around and wouldn't even look my way. Had to yell to even get one drink and he never came back. He would pass without even looking up or my way. The music is good but the service was horrible. The servers stopped serving us we only had a table of 5 and did not get served. The servers ignored our table, never even acknowledged us. When we asked if we could be served they were very rude and disrespectful. I have been there before and same thing happened there was only 2 of us then and still took forever to get served so I thought I would try one more time I will never darken their door again. If you want a great place with great food and service you need to go to Brookside or Tailgaters. No matter how busy they are you will always be taken care of. Not so at the chicken ranch. I love this place! We've been there 3 times. The staff are super friendly, plenty fast and make you feel right at home. We were pleasantly surprised by live music twice. From the hostess to the servers, these people really try to make it great for you. I have the house Pinot Grigio and love it. Priced so low, it makes it easy to pop in anytime not just happy hour. The FISH! It's truly great! I've had it as an appetizer and a meal. Truly just couldn't be better. My hubby had the Brisket. He liked it. Flies landing on food and all around building.. didn't see our waitress once after getting food. had to get up and find our own napkins.French dip arrived drenched and soggy with aujus. Have been there a few times and food has been very good. A really large menu with lots of appetizers. They have entertainment almost every night and notice several groups of older folks gathering to enjoy the music and food. Service can be a little slow sometimes but when the place is packed should be expected. All in all it's a fun venue with big variety of food. read more

I tried this place for the first time. They seemed pretty busy so I'm thinking it must be good. I ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and a cup of their beef stew. The meatloaf wasn't very flavorful, the brown gravy was ok, had bell peppers, onions, and zucchini which I didn't understand, mashed potatoes were flavorless and gravy didn't help, toast was not toast because it was moist, then we have the soup which was more like a flavorless light brown broth almost as thick as the gravy but had a few vegetables in it. If I wasn't at work I would drive back and ask for a refund. Maybe people are there for the fish Friday, but my meal was so bland I threw it away after two bites of each item. We have wanted to try this place since it first showed up on a Yelp search. 10 am on a Saturday and it is frighteningly unbusy. I ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye and eggs with biscuits and a side of gravy. Everything arrived as ordered and were good quality and tasted yummy. My wife ordered the regular chicken fried steak and eggs but the kitchen upgraded her to the Ribeye and that was the reason for a one star deduction. She would never order a ribeye, as they are "fattier" than she likes. Locals get out and try this place! It's definitely worth a try. read more
