Good: Overall good food. We got a kids meal...4 tenders and fries with a drink. Ample food for a 5yr old. Husband got a chicken bacon avocado wrap...wish it had more of a dressing, it felt a tad bit dry and the avocado was on the browner side. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was gooooood. I also wish this had some sort of dressing on the bun to make it not feel so dry. Our favorite sauce was the sweet chili sriracha. Service: everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and a couple sauces. In general, a good sandwich, but the breading is a little thicker/crunchier than I prefer. The pimento cheese is good, but the sandwich itself needs some "sauce". I did get the Voodoo and Nashville hot sauce on the side and that helped with the dryness of the sandwich. Fries were good and the fresh brewed iced tea was also good. I'll give it one more try, but I'm not sure this was better than chick fil a or Popeyes to be honest. read more

I went through the drive thru today to try Chicken Shanty. The service was pretty decent and the cashier was extremely friendly. I got the chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and lettuce with fries. I didn't think the chicken had flavor or tasted like it had been seasoned in any way. It was very plain and didn't stand out to me at all. The fries were good and I liked their selection of sauces that come with your meal. Although this is close to my house I would prefer to drive farther for chicken from Dave's Hot Chicken or Chick-Fil-A. I also got a prickly pear lemonade that I wasn't very impressed with either. read more

2nd time coming to the chicken Shanty. Same amazing experience. I got the Baddy Hot sauce and it is even better than I could have imagined. I already love the last two sauces I tried. The House Southern is a perfect mix of spices and perfectly paired with the delicious fries. The crew and chef know what they are doing. Believe their recommendations on your sauces. Surprisingly bad food. I had heard good things about other locations and decided to give it a try. I drove thru and ordered the Octoberfest. Came with fries and drink. Pulled around to window. Gave him my card. When he returned the card he went to get my drink. To my surprise he reached into a fridge and pulled out a 2 liter jug of sprite, poured from it and handed it to me. Not cold and mostly flat. When I got home I opened my food container. Fries are store bought, frozen crinkle cuts and all white. No color at all so undercooked. Burger very bland. Supposed to have beer cheese, onions, and bacon jam. Absolutely none of that was found under the bun. The bun is burned, top and bottom. Spent $15.00 Never returning to this place. read more

The sandwich was dry the bun had nothing on it Had to ask for some maynaise to add to sandwich. My daughter and I were so excited to try this place and we were so bummed when it was seriously just blah. Chicken had little to no flavor. Which means you're depending on the sauces to make up the flavor. Sadly the sauces are really average. We tried ranch, bbq and chipotle. The fries tasted stale and like they'd been sitting out. Also little to no flavor (I've seriously never met a fry I won't demolish) Neither I nor my 10 year old even bothered to finish our meals. We threw away more than half. Everyone should try the new business for themselves. $16 for two kids meals. Plenty of food for the kids. There is only 1 choice for kids. Chicken, fries and a drink. It was lightly battered chicken which has no flavor unless you add sauce. There are plenty of sauce choices and some unique flavors. They have a drive thru. My biggest complaint was the wait. It took forever and kids aren't patient. We went with a large group so had 4 different orders and we were finished and the other groups didn't even get food yet. No one ahead of us either soooo.... Too much sauce, too much chicken in the middle, too little bread, too little coleslaw, and pickles showed up when I was almost finished. The hot sauce was dripping all over the place and the napkins are nearly useless. Good food has balanced flavors. You can't just throw it all in a pile and hope it tastes good. The fries are coated and don't taste like potatoes and the ketchup has a weird flavor. The watermelon and strawberry lemonades were very weak and diluted. Walked in to a clean dining area. Upbeat reggae music was playing. The cashier was helpful in sharing about the menu. We ordered and the food was up before we left the counter. I ordered The chicken crab sandwich with fries, and my partner ordered a chicken strip basket with fries. We dug into our fries first, and were surprised they were cold. We knew this was an easy fix and took them back for a quick wait for new ones. Two of the three gals up front were understanding and apologized and we assured them we understood, and didn't mind waiting for fresher ones. The new fries were Hot and came with a smile. We really enjoyed the variety of sauces we tried. The coconut chicken on the crab sandwich was delicious, and I thought the Crab sandwich was the best I've had when it comes to a chicken sandwich. We bought a cookie( chicken turd) and went back for another. I would say we enjoyed ourselves. We love that the chicken is local , free- range and hormone free.
