    Crushed potatoes
    Mar K.

Ordered online before we arrived and it took mere minutes (literally like three minutes) to get our food because of the advanced heads up. Ordered the spicy thighs and the meat was incredibly tender. The spice was for real as well. Ordered the crushed fried potatoes and found they were delicious. Loved the turmeric spicy sauce as well as the ketchup that was House made. Their selection of beers and ciders were inspiring. Service was super friendly and left the counter feeling really happy that we supported a local POC business. They have about eight tables give or take and it's street parking. It's a clean comfortable interior. Next time we're going to try the butter mochi.

Heard a lot about the Chicken Supply but since they usually open in the afternoon we didn't try before. We decided to order for takeout. The chicken is really good and delicious. Even for takeout, the chicken stayed crispy. The skin/batter was flavorful and the meat itself is brined to perfection The stick, unfortunately is just mid. It was a bit soggy by the time we arrive at home. The garlic rice is OK but if you are garlic adverse, maybe don't order this. The garlic flavor is a punch in the face, not just some mild garlic fragrance. The coconut collard green is delicious but can't help but feel collard green maybe a weird choice for Filipino Laing. Maybe kale would be better? The cold pancit is probably our least favorite item we ordered. The bihon itself is not seasoned and the cherry tomatoes is too sour (it was pickled). We'll definitely be back for more chicken in the future. PS. Depends on your preference, you may want to order the original than spicy The spiciness cones from extra pepper seasoning, instead of actually spicy batter for the chicken. We ordered original for the chicken and spicy for the stick so we can compare.

The two main chicken pieces I got here were the spicy chicken thigh and the regular chicken stick Out of the two, I have to say I liked the chicken stick less It was definitely really juicy - even slightly pink at times - so that part was quite good. The issue came more with the breading for me. The skin was only lightly crispy, with a lot of softness to it - not something I usually look for in fried chicken. Additionally, it wasn't really seasoned that amazingly. While for being on a stick there was a good amount of meat to it, the amount you get pales in comparison to the thigh, especially when you take into account that they're the same price However, the chicken thigh was all-time good. There was absolutely no comparison on which I enjoyed more - in fact, the thigh here is one of my favorite pieces of fried chicken I've had in my life. Making the breading 'spicy' adds so much more flavor it's unreal. While it isn't actually that spicy - especially when compared to a place like Dave's Hot Chicken - just the act of adding a ton of spice-adjacent seasonings gives the breading a very strong amount of flavor. I do prefer Dave's in terms of the amount and flavor of the seasoning - as this doesn't quite have that same deep red color. Where the thigh absolutely crushed it, however, was the unbelievable amount of crunch on the outside. When I took my first bite, I was in disbelief on how crunchy the batter ended up being. Even the parts on the breading that didn't blister up ended up resulting in a super crispy skin. I don't think I can say I've had a crunchier piece of fried chicken ever. Even the meat itself is really juicy on the thigh - and more importantly - the portion is pretty large Lastly, I got the butter mochi cake. This tasted pretty good - and I got a distinct butter flavor. While I would prefer it to be sweeter, the extra coconut dip really helped with that. The inside of the mochi was baked well and was satisfying to break apart The price ended up being a little bit expensive (around 20 dollars for the chicken and 6 for the butter mochi). I would say the thigh was absolutely justified in terms of portion size but maybe not for the stick

Some of the best fried chicken I've had in Seattle!! We ordered online and went to pick up! I would recommend ordering early because they do sell out! We got the chicken box, the coconut greens, garlic rice, and the mochi dessert. The chicken was perfectly crispy and unique! I was so obsessed and ate so much! They also make their own banana ketchup which made a nice compliment to the chicken! Overall, love this spot and will definitely come back again for more fried chicken!

Crunchiest chicken batter I've had to date It's a snap-crackle-pop-kettle-chip-kinda-crunch. I saw that it's gluten free so my theory is they use rice flour to get that airy yet satisfying crunch. Also why was I full after one wing.. #girldinner I saw someone else get the chicken on a stick and it's barbarically dense so beware! But I might try it next time. I wish they sold smaller portions of the sides because I'm not trying to add an extra $6 side of pickles but I lowk considered it at one point because I really wanted pickles with my chicken and I do wish the chicken came out like fresh-out-the-fryer-hot so I might have to clarify that preference.

I appreciate this place for their gluten-free fried chicken. For my friend who has celiac this is a lifesaver for her. She hasn't had good gluten-free chicken in a long time so this has become her go to spot. As a non-gluten-free person I still really loved their chicken. The pieces were gigantic and all the flavors were so yummy and flavorful. All the pieces were super tender and juicy and cooked well. I also got their dessert and that was yummy as well. The fried smashed potatoes were a top hit. Be warned that this is a small place so try not to come with a giant group because you will not fit. They could not accommodate our large group so we had to sit either squished or separately. They weren't able to combine tables across the restaurant for us. I'm not a fan of their automatic tip that is added to every bill though. I feel like we should still get a choice to add tip. I understand that they need to raise prices, but I feel like they should just raise the price of the meal instead of saying there is an automatic service charge added.

Restaurants like The Chicken Supply make me grateful that I live in Seattle. I mean I can drive two miles down the road and eat something that will make me this happy? How lucky am I?! I've been meaning to try this place for years, as a friend told me long ago that it was one of the best fried chicken joints in Seattle (she wasn't lying). After having a couple IPAs (classic Seattle behavior) at Phinney Station, we decided it was time to enter The Fried Chicken Palace. For an establishment with flavor so grand, the restaurant itself is unassuming. But I assure you, you're in for the time of your life. If it's your first time here, I'd recommend asking the staff for help. My friend and I are hefty consumers of fried delicacies, and we were ready to order an abundance of birds. We were gently guided towards only ordering one thigh and a side each. I'm glad we did, because these must have been made from chickens that were Olympic power lifters. Those thighs were MEATY. The thigh is the perfect level of juiciness. The crisp on the outside is everything you want for fried chicken. If you get the spicy version, there's a nice coating of spice-dust and I believe some hot honey. The pancit was a very nice addition (noodles with fried chicken? Love it). But you gotta get the crispy potatoes. I'm not sure how they made these, or what they are seasoned with, but they are incredible. It's not often that I'm satisfied with sauceless potatoes, but these really don't need any accompaniments. I've heard they sell out fast here. So you better run there when it opens.

    Breast skewer, wings, and potatoes

5 star solely on the fried chicken. Delicious, crispy, flavorful, moist. It's a crisp that can't be matched. I must say it might be my favorite fried chicken place in all of Greater Seattle Area! So definitely worth the trek, the line up, and the wait. Now to the not so great, but got going to get knicked stars. There are a few other side options that were enticing. We tried a majority of it, including the potatoes, the pickles, the rice with stew... none of them came even close to coming close to how good the chicken was. So a financial tip and a waist saving tip would be to pass on all the sides and just get extra chicken. No chicken parts can go wrong. All just super delicious. We were first in line, so we had the choice of everything on the menu, but still had to wait about 20 minutes to get our order as there was a ton of preorders that is placed the night before and the morning of. During the time we were eating, a ton of the items became sold out. The first things to be sold out are their giant whole wings, and their mochi cake. And man their mochi cake was Devine. I wish I couldve gotten more. Definitely eat the chicken fresh, and order more of the chicken and more mochi cake, as the orders might be slow if you have to put in a second order. I really wish I ordered a few more butter mochi cakes, and more wings, and another skewer. Nom nom nom! A drooling two thumbs, way up high!

Yep! It's legit! All of it! Service- friendly, accommodating, and loves his job! Chicken is perfection and was even still hot when we got home! Garlic fried rice- chefs kiss! Ambiance was clean, and cozy if you can't wait to take a bite! Yummmm!

    The Stick and Drum!
    Fionna L.

This is Seattle's only Filipino fried chicken restaurant! The cashier was very bubbly and kind. There are 6 small tables inside that seat 2 people each, but most people did takeout. Street parking is possible but limited. I loved the drum and the stick was the best breast meat I've ever had - so tender, with a Rice Krispies texture. I personally prefer when the batter sticks more to the meat. It was $16 which was steep but filled me up. Things I learned: - Preorder on their website to get what you want before they run out! There is a 17% service charge. - "Pick-up time" actually means check-in time because when you arrive, they will announce your order number and start frying your chicken to deliver it fresh to you. - They use free-range and organic chicken from Draper Valley Farms, and their batter (and entire menu) is gluten-free. Love this! - The "comfort room" at the back is a restroom with a cassette deck and cassettes you can play! - Their front door does not close unless you force it shut. Really appreciate the cashier who repeatedly went to shut the door every time someone went in and out. - This is the dream restaurant endeavor of 2 long-time culinary school friends. I'm happy to have supported The Chicken Supply!

    Monggo Beans & Rice
    Samuel S.

Okay, this chicken was seriously so good. Some of the best I have had in Seattle and the pieces of chicken were massive! I recommend the drums, best of the menu. Aside from the chicken, I tried the Monggo Beans and Rice. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland. The restaurant has a pretty small eating area, so my friends and I ordered takeout and ate at their house. But the restaurant did have a nice vibe inside. All things considered, my five friends and I decided on a group rating of 4/5 stars. One thing is for sure though, I will be back for those drumsticks.

The fried chicken here is pretty good here; juicy and flavorful with crispy skin. However, the true star of the show is their cold pancit side where the noddles are perfectly coated in a mixture of soy and lemon and it is THE perfect complement to fried chicken. I wish I could get the recipe for this dish as I would make it all summer long. The right amount of tanginess and acidity to accompany some juicy chicken. The garlic rice was just ok... not enough garlic. You pay at the counter and it does get pretty crowded and the seating options are a bit chaotic since sometimes, it gets so packed that there isn't any room. Also, since you have to order every piece of chicken individually, I kind of wish there were "combos" where things are pre-paired so it takes the mental work out of trying to determine exactly how many pieces of chicken and what part you want. I can also see the benefit of ordering each part and piece though.

    House hot sauce
    Cardin N.

It's been awhile been the fried chicken is still my favorite in the state! Love love love the chicken. The new $41 box is a good amount of chicken for 3-4 people. Bought an extra house made hot sauce as well since it's so good. McKenna was super awesome handling the busy traffic and providing great service! Not a to. Of seating but we did get a table and ate there! 5 stars!!!

We're still fairly new to Filipino cuisine and she did an excellent job talking us through the menu and the various options. We started with three appetizers, the lumpiang, kinilaw, and canton noodles. The kinilaw was incredible, bright and fresh with an appropriate bit of kick from the pickled fresnos, Highly recommended (but not my photo, it didn't turn out). For entrees we had the adobo ribs and the beef kare kare. Both dishes were good, but the ribs stole the show. Fall-off- the-bone moist with an incredible tangy yet sweet tomato glaze. Treat yourself to these ribs! The restaurant is small and casual, for us an ideal setting for a wonderful meal.

Our server was attentive when taking our order but rarely came to our table when the dishes were brought to our table. We had to remind our server about our 2nd drink order after waiting for 20 minutes. Afer our last entree our many plates wasn't cleared for another 20 minutes even though it was clear we were done eating. Our server never came to our table to check up on us. We has to ask another server for our bill. The final bill for me and my spouse came out to $263.79 and included 4 cocktails. We both want to support Filipino restaurants to become more main stream, however, they need to earn repeat customers. Some of the upscale Filipino restaurants we have dined at includes Kasama (Michelin Star) in Chicago and Abacá in San Francisco had very good service. We started with siyokoy cocktails which were tasty and had a tangy flavor I was craving for in an aperitif. Our entrees consisted of tinapa tonnato, ensaladang pinakbet, adobo ribs, kare kare and shared and order of the bibingka for dessert. We both enjoyed the tinapa tonnato and I especially liked the addition of mint because it brightened the slight funkiness of the tomato salad. The ensaladang pinakbet was not a "traditional" version of the dish and was served cold like a salad and without rice. The veggies were cooked perfectly. The pickled bitter melon was a nice addition although I thought the bitter melon was a bit too vinegary but my spouse liked the level of vinegar. Overall, we both enjoyed this version of pinakbet. The adobo ribs were meh and one note in flavor but was very tender. It lacked acidity which is a typical flavor profile for Filipino adobo. I was getting a slight bitter aftertaste, not sure where it was coming from, perhaps from too much char on the ribs because of the grilling. The ribs are covered in a thick glaze so I couldn't see the naked ribs. We both would have liked wedges of lime to squeeze on the ribs to give it a little hit of acidity. A little Maldon salt would have helped too. The first couple of bites of the kare kare were tasty but started to taste monotonous. We both agreed it needed a bit more salt or bagoong on the side for each diner to add the level to their own taste specifications. The beef cheeks portion was large and was very tender, unctuous, and delicious. The bibingka was served warm and very buttery. We enjoyed the crispy edges. I guess the O.G. designation meant it was the original recipe. It tasted like the recipe I grew up eating. Nothing inventive.

Perfect timing if you want to beat the rush and take a look around before it fills up. The restaurant is located in Beacon Hill, right next to the Beacon Hill light rail station, which is super convenient if you're coming from downtown or the airport. No dedicated parking lot, so you're looking at street parking. The setup is counter service. You order and pay up front, then find a seat, and they bring the food out to you. It's a nice hybrid of quick-service convenience with the personal touch of table delivery. Just remember to bus your own table when you're done. They've also got a station set up for washing your hands and mixing your own dipping sauce, which I thought was a really thoughtful touch (if you grew up with Filipino food, you know). I went heavy on the sinamak (spiced vinegar). Seating is flexible. Counter seats if you're solo or just grabbing something quick, and regular tables that can accommodate four or more if you've got a bigger group. We ordered the bangus-silog, island combo, and cassava cake. Bangus-silog:Came with garlic rice, two eggs, and milkfish, and it hit exactly the way silog should. Yolks were slightly runny, rice had that good garlicky flavor, and the bangus was perfectly fried with head and tail. Island combo: Came with two lumpia, two inihaw ribs, pancit, white rice, two longanisa, and two butterfly shrimp. Great way to sample a bunch of things in one go if you can't decide. The lumpia was crispy and had a good amount of filling. The ribs were tender and had a nice char. The pancit had good noodle texture, and the longanisa had that slightly sweet, garlicky flavor you want. Nothing special about the butterfly shrimp. Also don't skip the baked goods section near the register. It's definitely worth a look on your way out. We tried a slice of cassava cake for dessert. Dense and not overly sweet. Good way to end the meal. Staff at the register were friendly and patient the whole time. They answered any questions about the menu. Overall, a solid and casual spot for Filipino comfort food. Our office gets a list of the weekly offerings on Monday, so when I heard that later in the week there would be Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen, bringing Filipino food, I most definitely made lunch plans. I was coming in from a meeting in Fremont, so didn't go to the pop-up/Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen as soon as it started service (around 11am). With that said, I nearly missed out on the chicken adobo! I took the last of the chicken adobo an hour and a half after the lunch service started, so was counting my blessings! I ordered the lunch plate, which came with chicken adobo, pancit, rice and pickled veggies. My lunch plate was solid. Chicken adobo was tender and really, really liked how vinegar-y the flavor was, which, any Filipino would tell you that all food tastes better with vinegar! Pancit wasn't bad, but not the best. Some of the noodles were on the dry side, but I did like the cabbage and green onion throughout. Pickled veggies were a nice addition, adding more sour flavor to the overall entree. For someone who hardly ever has Filipino food and desperately misses mom's cooking, I was just happy to have Salu-Salo bring some adobo to the area. I would definitely recommend checking out Salu-Salo if you ever see their stand around. They don't update their social media channels, unfortunately, so is a little difficult to find where their stand will be. And when I asked if they participate in any markets, they do not. But the owners did mention that they visit downtown Seattle often at other office buildings around. Therefore, I have a feeling I'll be seeing them soon and getting my Filipino cuisine on. (Plus, bonus points for the owner being from the Bicol region of the Philippines, which is where my mom's side is from. Love that!)

Salu-Salo put Fillipino food on the map for me, and thank god for that…read more I do not know why it has taken so long for this cuisine to become popular in the U.S. because frankly, its freaking delicious! Salu-Salo offers a wide variety of dishes with unique flavor profiles. With some of the dishes, I can't compare them to anything I have ever tried before. For example, my favorite dish on the menu is the Laing Express, which is made with coconut milk, taro leaves, topped with a delicious crispy piece of pork belly. With a topping of pork belly, how could anything go wrong? This dish has an amazing earthy flavor, with a bit of a kick to it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. How often to you get to eat purple desserts? Ube cake gets its color from purple yams! Salu-Salo's ube coconut topped ube cheesecake balls are not just adorable, they are addicting. Not overwhelmingly sweet, and perfect for sharing, these are a treat. For those with dietary restrictions, Salu-Salo is a great option because there are plenty choices. As someone who is gluten free, all of the main dishes are fair game. This is often very rare when dining out for me!! Here's to Salu-Salo for exposing Seattleites to what Filipino food is all about. Rosario's cuisine feels like a healthy take on comfort food. Each dish bursting with flavor, yet still accessible to all ages. The idea behind comfort food is all about the thought that goes into the prep. After tasting Salu-Salo's food, I promise you can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation of each dish. I am looking forward to this becoming a Seattle institution, and hope it inspires more Filipino cuisine to start popping up in the PNW.

Great for hanging out or for working. We ordered a sisig piroshki which was really good and flavorful. I love the twist to a class piroshki. We also ordered guava cream cheese and a strawberry jalapeno cream cheese danish. My son wanted the chocolate chip roll and it was loaded with chocolate. The highlight of our visit was the leche flan. It came out just as we were leaving and I had to get one. It's a pastry topped with flan and salted egg and it was perfect. It was warm and flaky and the flavors were just so delicious. If you're lucky enough to be around when the leche flan is in the case, I highly recommend trying it. I'm still dreaming about it

I really enjoyed it and would definitely get it again. #goodeats My biggest issue is the price, especially from the food trucks. At around $10 per item, it feels a little expensive for what you're getting. It's tasty, but I'd probably want more food for the price. There's also a newer spot by the Summit building, which is a much more convenient location compared to going all the way down to the pier. Definitely worth stopping by if you're already in the area. Service was quick and curt.

I grew up eating Filipino food, and kare-kare was actually a dish I never really cared for. But I recently had it at a party that was catered from here on a Saturday, and I honestly couldn't stop thinking about it afterward. The following week, I was raving about it to my sister-in-law (our partners are Filipino), and since we were in the area, we decided to stop by. We walked in right at 11 when they opened. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing from the start. We weren't greeted very warmly by the older woman taking orders. Maybe she was having an off day, or maybe we happened to walk in right as they opened, but as my SIL was ordering, she seemed visibly annoyed with us. What really stood out, though, was when two older Filipino women came in shortly after. Her demeanor completely changed, and she became much warmer and more hospitable toward them. I don't want to assume someone's intentions, but as someone who isn't Filipino, it honestly made us feel very unwelcome and discriminated against. It was especially disappointing because we genuinely love Filipino food and regularly eat dishes like papaitan and tortang talong with our Filipino family. We weren't just randomly ordering unfamiliar food, these are dishes we know and love. And my whole life I've never experienced any negative interactions with any Filipino, ever. They're some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We ended up getting our food to go. The tortang talong was pretty greasy and the tapsilog was decent. And I have to give credit where credit is due: the crispy kare-kare is still the best I've ever had. That alone is what would bring me back for the food. Unfortunately, the service is what keeps me from rating this place higher. Based on my experience, I'd recommend this as more of a takeout spot only. Hopefully whoever takes your order is having a better day than ours did.
