Im from out of town staying at the Hyatt mission bay and decided to try a local spot to support small business. Placed my order (mind you, I'm following all cdc guidelines wearing a mask) and was ask to step outside and wait for my food. I complied thinking this was their normal practice. When my food was brought out - I was told by the cashier: " my manager asked me to tell you that next time you are sick not to come in!" What led them to belief i was sick? Oh that's right, I coughed once while ordering - and I was wearing a mask. I told the cashier that I wasn't sick!!! I grabbed my food and left- apparently I offend her by telling her I wasn't sick!! I understand people are being cautious but when did customer service go out the window?? Don't jump to conclusions. I am well informed and understand when I should go out in public. I am fully vaccinated and don't have any medical conditions!!! Please enjoy that $10 tip I left you for your kind customer service!! Please be kind to your next customer!!!! Such a cute little cafe! Me and my hubby were out to look for something new to try and I'm happy we found this place. I got the French Toasts Combo (comes with sausage and egg) and a blueberry muffin warmed up! ( this was by far my favorite) my husband got the Grilled Paninis Pesto Deluxe (comes with side of chips) and for our baby we got the eggs with a side of fruit off the kids menu. Everything was delicious! And the orange juices we got were on point! Would highly recommend you coming in to try this place. The lady in the front was great. Super sweet and efficient! I went here a couple weeks ago and ordered a bagel and cream cheese that cost close to five dollars, I didn't tip and the rude waitress with the long brown black curly hair let my food sit on the counter and then pushed it towards me and said "this is yours" after 5 minutes. Went back today and she started screaming at me in front of customers that I was being rude by standing and waiting for my food. Absolute obnoxious cashier who used to be completely nice to me until I stopped tipping but paying five dollars to have a bagel thrown at you really isn't worth a tip. Can't say enough about this place! Best iced dirty chai I've ever had. A great space to get breakfast, lunch, a snack, or just coffee. My friends and I worked on our laptops for a couple hours with their complementary Wifi. Andrea is seriously the nicest human and remembered my friends and I the next day we came because of course we had to come back! I also recommend the açaí bowls! This is an amazing cafe! The customer service is beyond that of anywhere I've visited in San Diego (which is saying a lot because the customer service everywhere we've gone has been wonderful). I love how they greet their regulars by name and talk about topics they've obviously spoken about previously like they're old friends. I loved the quality of the food and coffee! Everything was so fresh and great portions for the price! This is a place I'll visit again and again and hopefully become a regular if I ever move nearby. I recently moved to OB and have been looking for nice cafes to get quick breakfast/lunch and this place did not disappoint! I first went with my boyfriend and we got breakfast sandwiches on bagels and an iced chai latte. The second time I took a friend and I got a breakfast plate (eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast). Each visit we had exceptional customer service and the food was made pretty quickly. Definitely found my new little neighborhood spot. read more

My friend & I went here yesterday... The second star is for the nice guy at the counter. Other than his friendly demeanor, I would not advice this restaurant. The menu taped to the front window was filled with dead flies. (Ew but okay..) Both my friend and her order was messed up & the meals had to be "remade". She has an allergy to cheese and the error with the first bowl had cheese when she said explicitly no cheese. After eating through part of the "corrected" bowl, my friend discovered cheese was still baked on the side of the bowl.. meaning they just had taken off the cheese off the top. My favorite breakfast spot in OB. My husband and I discovered this place after church one day and it's so cute! The employees are super friendly and the food is amazing! I had the French toast combo the first time and it was amazing the portion size was so big for the price! We played checkers and enjoyed a nice breakfast! I picked my sister up today who is in visiting and we both got Cliff sandwiches on an everything bagel and they were very good! The place was crowded (which is always a good sign on a weekday morning at 8:30 am) we got them to go because we live close. Everyone is just so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend. read more
