Love the atmosphere, it's so jazzed up with vintage black and white mural on the wall plus a bar with porcelain floral tiles, a'la NYC style, right here in historic Jerome! OMG... after a 2 hour ride from Williams to Jerome Az in our UTV, we enjoyed the most delicious meal here. We split the massive 8 oz filet mignon in with lemon herbed mash. They even offer it loaded but we loved how it came. The buttered cast iron filet mignon was the best I have ever had. We started with the Caesar that I loved. Massive shreds of cheese, homemade croutons and a zesty- lemon infused Caesar. We asked for a couple pieces of sourdough so we could sink it into the leftover bud in the cast iron skillet. Also- great tip from our waiter... if you are sharing the filet mignon and one person likes it a little bit more well done than the other, you can easily leave one in a little longer to cook. Dinner at Clinkscale tonight and honestly it was one of the best meals we've ever had together. I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese (if that's on a menu, I'm ordering it every time). Matt had the Chicken Milanese and it was perfect. We shared beignets for dessert. I loved the early 1900s vibe with big band music playing and the service was great. Everything is phenomenal! Had the espresso martini and the Pimm's Cup to start. Espresso Martini was smooth, rich and poured to perfection. Was expecting something similar to a Moscow Mule with the Pimm's Cup but was pleasantly surprised with something better. I'll leave that there. The grilled cheese and tomato poblano soup was yummy. The grilled cheese is elevated with a crispy cheese layer on the bread and creamy ricotta on the inside. I was told the chicken and biscuits was the specialty by our wonderfully present server, Jeff. Our first time in Jerome and we happened upon this little gem. We ordered the turkey au jus and the tortellini salad. Would've tried one of their specialty cocktails, except the drive to get here and down is pretty treacherous. Also, I have been wanting to try some Arizona wine, but their offerings did not include that. Both entrees were served at an appropriate temperature and contained fresh ingredients. The taste was quite good and serving sizes adequate. The service was very good with the server checking on us several times and the manager also stopping by. The atmosphere was upbeat and pleasant, although a little loud due to the structure of the building. I would highly recommend dining at this spot, however probably not with small children. read more

In town, town, Jerome, and that we would come into the clink scale for brunch/lunch. What an eclectic place! The design of it was very cool. In the middle of the restaurant was the bar which it looked like a fun bar to sit at. Just looking around at the decorations on the walls and just the whole vibe with the place was really cool! My husband had a breakfast meal, which she loved your normal bacon and eggs. I ended up having fish tacos that were actually so good!!! The fish taco type sauce was so very good! I was so blown away by the awesomeness of this restaurant! My friends and I stopped in Jerome briefly on our way to Sedona. We had never been there before and went to the Clinkscale just on a whim, without having researched any restaurants beforehand. Boy did we luck out! The ambiance is so nice inside, service was fast and friendly, and the food...the food was INCREDIBLE! I had the croque madame sandwich (technically a croque monsieur, as I skipped the egg). It was huge and exceptional, as were the potatoes that came with it. I also tried the truffle fries, which were fantastic. Each person at my table was blown away by their food. Omg! The drinks, the food, the desserts and the view! Job well done! I feel so lucky to have just stumbled upon this gem! I was in Jerome to do touristy stuff and I had gotten there pretty early. Most stores open like 10 am and I was there at 9am. I asked one shop where I could find the closest food and she said two doors down. No way I thought I stumbled upon such high caliber of food. Just wanted to share an amazing experience I had at Clinkscale restaurant in Jerome, Arizona. The food, presentation, ambience, and service were absolutely phenomenal. If I could give more stars, I definitely would. I'm originally from Florida, and my son and his girlfriend took me there for dinner and brunch on my last day in town. Honestly, places like Florida, Chicago, and New York don't compare to this spot. The general manager, Mike, provided outstanding service and attention to detail that truly blew me away. My husband and I had an incredible experience at The Clinkscale. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The atmosphere is cozy and upscale without being stuffy, and the service was truly excellent; the entire staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening feel special. We love the food there. This time, John was our server, and he was great. The food was very good overall. Just two suggestions: (1) Restaurants nowadays assume that EVERYONE likes spicy food, but my wife does not. Instead of assuming, why not DISCLOSE on your menu if something is spicy, like the red pepper flakes in the Chicken Milanese? She wouldn't have ordered this if she had known. (2) The filet I had spent WAY too much time in the sous vide bath. It was mealy. And a tenderloin, being inherently tender, does not need sous vide. Overall, though, we love the place, and we'll definitely be back. Noisy, but we love it. read more

This is the cutest place ever! We have eaten here 3 times in 2 days. This is a boutique restaurant in a boutique hotel. They have only 13 tables, it is small and the service is impeccable.t can't even tell you how service oriented the place is, they saved my leftover from my dinner and warmed it up the next night. Unexpected hospitality. The food is delicious, the grits are insane. We stayed here 3 nights and never moved the car. A very classy home away from home. I would stay here again. read more

We stopped by Jerome on the way home from Sedona, just curious as to what Jerome was all about. In Sedona we had eaten at a very well known and recommended restaurant and it was fine. Not great, but fine. We came upon Clinkscale around lunchtime and decided to have lunch, not having any idea of how wonderfully delightful the experience was going to be. As busy as the restaurant was (and it was packed), our waiter Jeff couldn't have been more kind and accommodating. He made us feel welcomed and never rushed. On top of the wonderful service, the food was absolutely amazing- in presentation and taste. We've never had better fish tacos and the salad was not only delicious, but a work of art. I wished we lived closer because this restaurant would become one we'd go to over and over again. If you are in Jerome, Clinkscale is a place you don't want to miss eating at. read more

I went here in 2021 but never did yelp so I didn't review it, but genuinely need to make this review because this is probably the best avocado toast I've ever had and I buy the ingredients at home so I can remake it but it never tastes the same. It's been years and I still think about this toast but it's so great I highly recommend getting it if you ever visit Jerome. Trust I will be back to get this and try other things when I come back there to that area. Just visited yesterday. What a gem. Terrific renovation of a very old building. Right in the heart of Jerome, you will not be disappointed. Delicious drinks ( French 75!), atmosphere and food. The lemon ricotta berry pancakes were crazy, I have never tasted something so balanced. The chicken and biscuits were amazing as well I think those two shined the brightest. We stopped at the Clinkscale in Jerome, AZ after the recommendation of Karen from The Tiny Gourmet in Cottonwood. Wow, it was amazing!!! John, our waiter, started us off with delicious margaritas - two Love Potion, and one Mango. It was fun to watch them be crafted in their outrageous bar and hand shaken by the mixologist. These were paired with fresh, house-made chips, salsa, and guacamole and truffle- parm French fries - all were amazing!!! Our entrees consisted of fresh tomato poblano soup, artisan bread grilled cheese and perhaps the best, Marsala Chops - two pork chops served over pasta and covered in a wine and mushroom sauce. All I have to say is wow. We were looking for a place to eat nearby in between Jerome and Cottonwood. I was expecting a small town diner type of place with all the traditional breakfast food; coffee that was there to do the job and not to enjoy. Boy was I wrong! I enjoyed a delicious brunch of a burrito bowl and truffle fries. The bowl was filling and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy with a strong truffle taste. This was our first overnight stay at Clinkscale as well as our first dining experience. The service was impeccable, with one exception. That being our server was obviously a newbie. He missed our need for service. Then, who pops out of nowhere was Christine, another server, who saw that we were obviously stressed about no attention from our server (at least 30 min). We just wanted dessert! Christine accommodated us immediately and was so pleasant and gracious that our stress disappeared. She is an amazing server, is on top of things, with great people skills and intuitiveness. Joe, the bartender, was very friendly, funny and accommodating. In closing, Michael, the manager, was absolutely great in a variety of ways. Accommodating, very personable, and demonstrated a clear concern of the customer's experience. Truly a top notch manager.
