Was super excited to have them open. Went in the first week and order a Chi Tea Blended and when I got to the window at the drive through I was told no whip cream (not a big deal) just figured they just opened and its all good. I have gone about four times and no whip cream every time. Today (fifth visit) I ordered the Chi Tea blended and got to the window and was told they ran out of the mix for that drink. On a normal day I would have order a coffee but I am not able to have coffee right now so I was not happy. I know its not the kid at the drive throughs fault and he could see i was not happy so he gave me a water for free. I am disappointed because it seams that their is a problem with the ordering of the product or stocking that store. I have always had a great experience with the employees . read more

Everyone should be aware, I spoke with an employee about why it is always 60 degrees inside the shop. I frequently try to come here to study since it's very local to me and apparently the manager tells the employees to spike the temperature to a freezing 60 degrees because they believe we will buy more hot drinks that way. This is awful business and obvious manipulation. read more

Notice a theme in these reviews? They screw up the orders a lot. Worse thing is the people that work inside some of them have had their personalities removed. Hello people you are suppose to be friendly not act like your doing us a favor by taking our order. Without us buying your 4.00 coffees there would be no Coffee Bean. They don't get it. Management has the same personality as their people. I go to coffee beans all over LA County and Orange County. This one not too good. 5 stars compared to Starbucks ! Stopped by on our way back home because coffee bean is my fave and we don't have one anywhere close to where I live :( espresso doesn't taste burnt. They have the best ice, tried a dark chocolate iced latte and it was so good! I also love their iced green teas and seasonal tea lattes. You can't really go wrong. The staff here will know me as "4 creams 4 sugars" I always use the drive through. I'm a regular, more then likely I was a regular. I go here seven days a week and twice on Saturday and Sunday. Twice I've been given a receipt and told if I come back with it I can get a dollar off a refill. I've never taken them up on the offer until today. Went in as usual at about 8:30am and was told by the nice lady that I should bring back the receipt when I come back in for my second cup (yea they know me that well). Well I go back for my second cup 9:45am) and let them know I have a receipt for the refill and am told that you can't use it at the drive thru. All I can think is who came up with that rule and you need to train your staff better, or in the vernacular of the day WTF. Still didn't get the discount and was sort of apologized to. What should have happened is I drive thru, explained the policy (no matter how dumb), given the discount and then this is brought up during a team meeting so it doesn't happen again. Seems kind of silly to me to get on the bad side of a customer who buys 9 drinks a week and doesn't really care about the cost (I'm at that age). My husband and I we're seniors, and we like to have coffee dates once in a while. We usually go to Starbucks but this time we happened to go to a supermarket next to this coffee bean and we bought muffins which is our favorite thing with coffee. We usually bring this to Starbucks and we have been going to this Starbucks for years now and they've never said anything to us about bringing our muffins. Well, we decided to try coffee bean this time and bought our coffee and we sat and started eating our muffins when this worker came to our table and said that we're not allowed to bring outside food and eat in their establishment so we're to eat it outside the store where there are also tables and chairs. We have to go out there now to finish our food. Wow , she didn't even gave us a warning instead but threw us out of the store and finish eating our muffins outside. Two senior citizens being thrown out. I'm not saying that I have the privilege being a senior but We deserve a little respect and dignity for Christ sake! My husband didn't want to fight our go against her orders so we stood up and went outside while the rest of the people there looked on. It was embarrassing. But we kept our poise and moved on. Thank you coffee bean for a wonderful treatment. This happened about two months ago. I was really angry inside me and this is the only way I guess I will find peace. read more

Since this location opened up the street from my work I am hooked. I love the look, the layout, the staff and the service. I have been several times and never disappointed. My sisters and I love coffee bean and we stopped at this location for the first time because it was on our way home! The boy who took our order was extremely nice and friendly he helped us and was very kind but as soon as we got to the window and older lady came and took out money. She was so rude it was ridiculous! There is no reason to treat anyone the way she treated us. She snatched the money out of our hands and was very cold she even made a comment under her breath about how this is the reason she likes her morning shifts better? This comment was so um called for we didn't do anything g to be rude or difficult for her. There wasn't even anyone else in line. Then My sister ordered a blended drink with no caffeine and it clearly did so she told her I asked for this with out caffeine she mumbled under her breath again and made a snarky comment and said something like no you didn't but whatever. I have been a manager at a coffee shop and I'm a manager at a tea shop now. I know what it's like to work in customer service and I can understand people can be difficult and rude but we were not in any way! She was she was acting and the way she treated us was ridiculous I would be so embarrassed to have an employee that acts like that! read more

Was so excited about a coffee bean coming to glendora... but seriously so disappointed. Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Literally TWO Starbucks locations closer to me and I have continued to drive down to the coffee Bean because I prefer it, but today they finally lost me. In all the times that I have gone to this location (multiple times a week for not only myself but for my employees and clients) there has only been one time that has been enjoyable. I don't know if their standards are so low that they are just hiring anybody, but they really need to check their staff because I have heard poor reviews from colleagues and friends. Sorry guys, you lost me and my company as customers. Got to switch back over to Starbucks because at least I don't feel like I'm bothering anybody by giving them my money. Thought I was the only one that dealt with the poor customer service but unfortunately there are others who went through the same horrible experience. Usually order through the drivethru but this time I decided to go inside and order because it was a very hot day. My niece was with me. Walk in no greet or anything. As I walk up to order the two ladies working in the front counter looked at me as if I was an alien from outer space and didn't belong there. I look at the menu to order and the girl asks me randomly if I had a question and I'm thinking to myself um trick, I'm here to order. So I place my order and my niece and I sit down I look at my receipt and see that my name was spelled incorrectly and I know the girl did it on purpose which added insult to injury but I let it go. My niece and I quickly at our sandwiches, took our tea drinks and got the heck out of there. I'll still continue to come and purchase from here because this company is really good and gives Starbucks a run for their money but I'll be going to other locations. If people are going to act like this in food service, retail, or any other customer service job do us all a favor and don't work at places like this. read more
