Instead of the usual breakfast hash, they serve fingerling potatoes that were perfectly soft inside with extra crispy skin. I'm guessing they blanch them before frying to order, because they came out flawless. Honestly, the whole plate would hold up well at any higher-end brunch spot. For drinks, we went with the CocoNana and the Apple Jack Matcha, both were 10/10. The banana foam on the CocoNana had so much flavor and really made the drink stand out. And the Apple Jack Matcha? Apple, cinnamon, and matcha.. Such a weird and wonderful combo! We really enjoyed everything about this spot and highly recommend checking it out. read more

I've been here a few times. The coffee is solid and the espresso drinks have always been consistent. However, I recently ordered a matcha via DoorDash and was pretty disappointed; especially for the $10 price tag. It was overly iced (which usually isn't an issue for me), but I ended up with maybe 4 oz of actual matcha with milk. It tasted diluted and lacked that rich matcha flavor. On the food side, it's tasty and well-prepared, but definitely on the pricier end. Overall, great coffee and food, but the matcha and value could use some improvement. read more

I've been going here since they first opened up around 2016. This place never misses when it comes to all their drjnks. The food has had their ups and downs but even at its worst it was still a 6/10. The last three times the food has been consistent and better. My favorite is the steak and eggs My favorite latte: the best spanish latte in all of So Cal dare I say. Their espresso is also the best in So Cal. I've tried at least 20 coffee shops in So Cal so I would know. If you're anywhere near rancho come here!!! I love this place. I have been here multiple times not and I am still not disappointed. First the customer service is fantastic. All the staff is very welcoming. A lot of places are starting to lack customer service but this place has it right. The food is delicious. I have tried the El Gordo (my favorite), the BAE, the steak and eggs, and also the quesadilla stack. Everything I have tried I truly enjoy. Also their potatoes are amazing as well. Drinks: The Shrek Lattee iced with oatmilk is my personal favorite. I have tried some of their other coffee and they were also delicious. Price: it can be pretty pricy however the quality is worth it in my opinion. Ambiance: is very calm and relaxing. I love to go there and read while I wait for my food or to just get a drink and read a nice book. They always have some great music playing. One time they had Erykah Badu and Outkast on, the vibes were perfect. Also sometimes on the weekend they have a musician on the patio. As someone who also works as a barista, this place is good but can have a few improvements based off my first impression. The drinks and coffee are great quality and you definitely get unique options you wouldn't find elsewhere, plus the many brunch options (that are a little more expensive considering the portions you get) Service was a little slow, but it's understandable considering someone was under training. However, the more experienced worker seemed to struggle with the request to add an espresso shot to the Yellow Mello drink, which didn't have coffee. tell me why... it was an extra FIVE DOLLARS. She added a whole espresso DRINK to the bill just because we asked for a shot in a pre existing one. Where I work, you c an easily add a shot for .75 cents, so I don't understand how that request is difficult. Our three drinks (which weren't in big cups) came out to 33 BUCKS⁉I asked if she accidentally added an extra drink to the bill before paying, but she said no and continued without questioning why three little drinks cost so much. But I opted for soy instead (fewer points on WW). I came back trusting the quality of their food and service, but this visit was very disappointing. I ordered a pour-over coffee and a French toast. The food arrived fairly quickly, but the coffee never came -- even after I went up to the counter three or four times to ask about it. A pour-over coffee is not complicated, and I intentionally ordered something simple so I could be in and out and get back on the road. I found it confusing that food is delivered to the table based on a number system, but drinks must be picked up from the counter, even for guests seated across the café. This setup simply doesn't work when someone orders both food and coffee. The lady with the colored hair was kind and clearly trying to help, but the two men behind the counter seemed disinterested and acted as though making my coffee was an inconvenience. It wasn't about impatience -- it was about basic service and coordination. All I wanted was a simple, hot cup of black coffee to enjoy with my breakfast, and somehow that proved too difficult for this café. This coffee shop has quickly become one of my favorite places to unwind, catch up on work, or meet friends. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, the baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, and the espresso drinks are consistently excellent. You can tell they take pride in their craft--from the latte art to the perfectly steamed milk, everything feels thoughtfully done. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to expand their offerings for pour-over coffee lovers, they also run out of pour over type beans often. While the current selection is decent, I'd love to see them bring in a broader range of single-origin beans specifically roasted for pour-over brewing. It would be the perfect addition to an already top-tier menu. Still, this place is a gem, and I'll definitely keep coming back for sure, keep up your standards and they will come. read more

Really cute place that I'd love to come back to on a remote work day! I ordered a breakfast burrito and caramel macchiato over the phone, and when I came to pick it up, it was a short wait. The burrito was pretty standard and tasted bomb, and the barista was really nice about explaining that their macchiatos are espresso macchiatos, not the latte macchiatos like Starbucks that people have come to expect. A bit chaotic but delicious. I would normally rate this place as 4/5, but I think the chaos really brings it down a notch. For example, there is no good way to line up to place your food order during busy times. There are multiple entrances & people get confused where to wait. There's some inside seating and only 1 gender neutral restroom. They don't have napkins out for you to grab as necessary, you have to ask an employee (everyone is clearly busy too, so you feel bad). Outside seating is available, but kind of clustered close together making it hard to maneuver around other people eating. There's also lots of birds and bird poop. NOW. On to the stuff that matters - the food/drink. Lavender honey latte was delicious. The salmon LOX was great. Loved everything about it - the bread was good, spread was good, presentation, overall flavor. 10/10. Solid choice. My husband got the combine breakfast - everything looked good minus the bacon. There are indoor and outdoor seating which I think is amazing idea... so plenty of space to sit. The service was just as good and The staff was very nice friendly. The bones of The Combine Kitchen are still here, but the artisan quality of before has seemingly moved on. Ordered a Spanish Latte to enjoy while I took advantage of the Tesla Supercharging station. Drink was luke warm, poured in a to-go cup. I sent it back to have them remake, but they used the last of the Almond Milk. Pictured is what I received. Previously, a little Latte art and a well balanced cup, now they just pour the expresso and call it a day. The Combine kitchen should close and do a thorough refresh, update furniture, and do a deep clean. Look up and down and there is some nastiness on the walls.
