Give CARISSAAA a raise! Went here to celebrate the Birthday Man turned 32 (he really turned 31 but let me have this)! It was a true Sunday Funday experience. Beats droppin, dranks flowin, and ass shakin! Get into it! This visit was back in April 2025 and baby we had a damn TIME!! I remember this day vividly! The food was delicious and the dranks slapped too, we had multiple towers. Big vibes! The space is vibey, chill ambiance, open and spacious seating. Check them out and I'll definitely be back upon my arrival to Dallas!
Brunch was a whole vibe from start to finish. The breakfast burrito was absolutely on point -- warm, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor. It was loaded with fluffy scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, melted cheese, and savory sausage, all wrapped in a soft tortilla with just the right crisp on the outside the peppers had good flavor also. Every bite was hearty and satisfying, and the salsa on the side gave it that extra kick. We ordered pigs in a blanket they were good also. The music was playing which i loved. It's was my birthday so they came out with a birthday shot and a song and that was pretty cool.
Very casual and chill bar. I've been here multiple times already and service has always been straight to the point. Food is solid, typical bar food, service is great, and ambiance is super laid-back. Jared and Joseph are great bartenders. Rachelle is also a very great server along with her boyfriend too! Ambiance is really relaxed/casual and laid-back. I've had a hard time with my job's transfer since now I have to drive across the other side of the metroplex, but it is really nice to spend time with my coworkers outside of work. Coming to The Common Table during a break between shifts with the $1 martini's or after a long and busy shift at work is chill and nice for late night bites. Sometimes a little chaotic, but never once bad.
My wife, daughter, and I were hungry for lunch and I found this restaurant which was close by. I saw online that the wait for 45 minutes so I made a reservation, it was $15 deposit to hold the table which is fine since it goes towards the bill. We show up to the restaurant and were surprised to see it was hip hop brunch, and it was LIT! We almost left because it didn't seem like the vibe a 2 year old should go to but we were hungry and we had the deposit down so we stayed. I'm happy we stayed because the music was great, all the old school Hip Hop and R&B hits mixed with some new school as well. We were definitely singing a long and moving to a lot of the songs. They have a kids menu, and high chairs, so they definitely accommodate parents with kids, The speakers are loud so if you are looking for a chill lunch or a quiet spot to bring a toddler, I'd look elsewhere. I had a veggie omelette (veggies are mushrooms, spinach, onions, tomatoes I believe) with potatoes aka home fries with onions and green peppers. I really enjoyed it, as the home fries reminded me of the home fries my dad would make at home growing up. My wife had the chicken and waffles, she really enjoyed the waffles, and the chicken was good as well. The chicken and waffles come with hot syrup, and franks red hot buffalo sauce. My daughter got the kids quesadilla, she didn't seem to love it. Also didn't come with any dipping sauces, we had our waitress bring a side of sour cream. The cheese didn't seem like regular cheese that would normally be on a quesadilla and they didn't put that much cheese on it. Beverages my wife and I had IPAs, 20 oz for $10, and our daughter had a milk. Our waitress Bianca was very nice, and helped give us suggestions on what were popular menu items. She had a good energy, and was pleasant to talk with. Overall this is definitely a fun place for brunch. People were chanting "Shots! shots! Shots!", popping bottles with sparklers, bday celebrations, jamming out to music, and drinking mimosas from towers. I'm interesting to see how different of a vibe it is when there isn't a Hip Hop Brunch happening.
I LOVE visiting The Common Table for brunch. They always have a dj playing great music, the food is always good, and the staff is friendly. If you're ever in the area looking for brunch with a vibe, I highly recommend this restaurant. I don't recommend the tower mimosa's unless you're into flat champagne. I always order a glass of prosecco or a martini since the bottles of champagne seem to be open for too long and there's nothing worse than flat champagne. Other than that, this is a great spot to listen to music and enjoy brunch with friends.
I haven't been to Dallas in 3937384 years, so it was time for me to visit. My line sister created an itinerary for us to be out in the town. We decided to participate in Sunday funday and this was our first stop! I got the breakfast wrap, with no eggs or meat BUT filled with potatoes. I couldn't appreciate the chunks of bell peppers AT ALL... they definitely should have been diced WAY smaller+ a side salad. Aside from that, the wrap was top tier. We got the mimosa tower as well. My sis got wings and fries. The music was good, the service was even better . I 100% would come back.
In Frisco, TX for a conference located at the Omni. This collection of restaurants and Cowboys history are all together and an easy walk from the hotel. The Common Table was here and we ate here twice as we didn't realize this was a scheduled dinner spot with the conference. When we arrived in Frisco we ate here first. We had the Queso & Chips, chicken philly w/ fries (me), and the salmon with brussel sprouts (coworker). Queso had a good consistency and had flavor - solid start. The chicken philly was average but the fries were cooked well. My coworker liked the salmon but the brussel sprouts were too tough and she left them on the plate. The 2nd meal with the conference consisted of Fish &Chips - again average. Unfortunately, the water tasty very earthy this time around and was undrinkable - which is okay because our waiter only came by once. The service from our first visit was much better. Parking appears to be limited directly in front of the restaurant but again, we walked from the hotel.
Came here for brunch with a friend and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed my meal as someone who is less than a fan of brunch. After seeing someone at the table next to me receive it, I bravely order the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint! The portion was huge, the steak was super crispy and extremely well seasoned without being too salty. The gravy was great and the potatoes that come with it were good. I could've used more peppers and onions but that's personal preference! We also got the short rib hash, and it wasn't bad. There's a sauce that comes on top of it that was really good. But in comparison to the steak, it doesn't stand a chance. Experience wise, this place is LOUD and lively. We sat outside and could still feel the energy of the restaurant. Our server was great and attentive. My only complaint was that there were so many flies! Even with fans blowing directly at our table, it was unbelievable how many flies were at our table. Obviously being outdoors can attract bugs but this seemed unusual. I do look forward to returning for that chicken fried steak though. Amazing job 10/10!
First and foremost, we came at a time where they had a lot of hip-hop music playing, and I really wish we were able to at least go in for that, but they were booked up really bad . So we decided to wait around and come back for their dinner hour and honestly, I wish we never went. The ambience was boring. The music they were playing was just regular music. They turned it down really low obviously because it was dinner. The drinks were very much so not worth the money. I'm talking about why on earth was these drinks so high and they were not good . Definitely drink before you go that way if you do taste drinks, it's just a kind of criticize how you like them They're having to be a high school graduation or homecoming night going on so there were a lot of kids in here . On top of that the service itself was very bland.

I'm shocked at how disappointing this experience was. We came for Sunday brunch, the music was great but that's about it and honestly it was way too loud. We made a reservation for 1, got seated maybe 5-10 mins late, no big deal. However, we waited for about 10-15 mins for someone to even come over to us. The server we got was fine, she messed up a few requests (for example bringing the wrong type of Jameson for one of our shots) but I'll chalk it up to it being too loud. The food? VERY underwhelming. Their food menu for brunch is quite small and overpriced. Honestly I didn't want to eat anything here but we were here so I just picked the build your breakfast option. The portions were TINY. I couldn't believe how little food I got for $18. It stated on the menu that they charge you $3 if you want to take your food to-go which is crazy for food you've already paid for and it's not like it's buffet style. Even crazier considering there's not even enough food to take. Nothing I had was seasoned, grits or potatoes and my friend said the chicken in her salad wasn't seasoned either. I had an Irish coffee which was terrible because the coffee was very poor quality and very watery. Honestly even the shots we got tasted watered down. Overall I would definitely not come back here. read more

This place is lacking a lot but we will start with the service. Had a 3:30 reservation, checking in around 3:20, was told it would be about 15 minutes. Staff was friendly from check in until we left. The manager was attentive, took my cake and placed it in the refrigerator. We were seated around 3:50, we ordered the Biggie tower and was told that if we wanted to order from the brunch menu we needed to do so asap as the kitchen would be closing from 4:00 - 5:00. We decided to wait until 5:00 to order and simply ordered appetizers from the brunch menu. Here is the inconvenience, don't allow a 3:30 brunch reservation if you are not going to sit the party immediately so that they can order. There should be a note on the website stating that the kitchen closes for an hour. Also please keep in mind that after 4:00 there is no DJ and the music choice changes drastically as does the crowd. I would highly recommend making an early reservation if you are looking to enjoy the hip hop brunch. Also, during brunch it is over crowded and hot. It's as if they placed extra tables and chairs inside to accommodate more customers but it is uncomfortable. The food is a solid 10 out of 10. The deviled eggs lacks relish but the wings, sliders and everything else that we ordered was wonderful. I would come back just for the food. read more
I had brunch at the common table today & it was everything that I didn't know I needed!!! (reservations encouraged especially for brunch). I felt that it was going to be a vibe but i didn't realize the food was gonna slap like it did!!! It was so good!! Mimosas are $3 on Saturday & Sunday! Westin (our server) was the literal best! & the music whew! The dj did what they were supposed to do! I heard everything from Fetty Wap to OutKast. I was visiting Dallas with family and they suggested this spot for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, the restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. You hear the hip hop and r&b music being played by the DJ. This place is definitely a vibe for music and drinks for the brunch however upon looking at the brunch menu, it was very limited on food options which was disappointing. The food options were less than half of the first page on the menu and the rest on the front and the entire back menu was alcohol options. Which was comical. I just ordered the basic hangover burger with breakfast potatoes. The service was quick with the food. The remainder of family ordered different things and the mimosa tower which they enjoyed as well. I enjoyed my burger. The bun was soft and brioche-like and the burger was cooked well and I added scrambled eggs with it. It was an overall decent burger. Overall this place is definitely good if you want nice music and drinks during a nice day brunch but definitely not for food. read more
Located by The Star, it's a causal spot for "bar food" dining. The offer both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of room. We enjoyed playing musical bingo, on a Monday night. We had a large party which delayed service a little however our server, Austin, was amazing. He was very kind and attentive to our table. My spouse and I had the burger and pepperoni flatbread. He enjoyed the burger but for the $18 price tag it was the tiniest burger even with two patties. The flatbread was very bland, more of an inexpensive store bought pizza than restaurant quality. read more
Stopped and common table for dinner. The service was pretty good. The place was cute I had pretty high hopes but when I got the food that went downhill quickly. I got the shrimp scampi. To start I have never had scampi that was creamy. The food had zero flavor. I doused it in salt pepper and Tabasco to try to help it out but it was beyond repair. The shrimp tasted like it was boiled. Not good at all. I took 4 bites and couldn't take it anymore. My husband got the fish scampi and his food was just as disappointing. We went across the street ti Tupelo honey and ordered dinner all over again. Oh and the "garlic knot" that came with the meal has zero garlic on it. Smh I will definitely not be back!! read more
I went on a late Thursday night. It was after the country music awards so the vibe was there as it was several people there. Upon arrival there was not a host up front seating people we had to stop a random worker to see where to be seated. Once we "picked" our own seating someone came out with a menu. Their late night menu is very limited. The food was great though and the Texas dry rub chicken has this slightly sweet yet with a hint of salt taste which was surprisingly different. Had some left overs and it was just as good on the second day lol. read more

The salmon was actually very good! The place has a good ambience and a lot of TVs. I would definitely come back again. It's also located in a very great area so you can walk around after meal and check out the surrounding area. The location is perfect and definitely a place I would come back to read more

Pleasantly surprised with this place. One of my friends took me to lunch here a few weeks ago and I must say it was great. I absolutely love the interior of this place with all the wall art. My favorite was the table with all the famous rappers.... It was just a cool mural. We sat at the bar; the bartender was great. I ordered the redfish scampi and the fruit salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted very good. Portion to price was normal to Frisco restaurants. They have a nice menu to choose from. The looks of this place it seems like they have a decent crowd that comes in for beer and appetizers. Definitely a neat place with decent food! read more

Came here for happy hour around 5 for the first time. Our server was really nice and sweet. Our cocktails came out very slow even though the place was pretty empty. Took about 15+ mins not sure why. Food was really good. The boom boom shrimp was our favorite, then the chicken sliders and chicken Philly egg rolls. Our least favorite was the pepperoni and jalapeño ranch flatbread. The pizza crust was not very good. Not crispy and very hard doughy. Wither way, the happy hour drinks and food specials are 50% off. If you are by The Star, give this place a try. read more
Visited this location while on a brunch tour in Dallas. Upon entering you definitely catch the vibe. Music, full tables, fun murals and friendly staff. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waitress soon introduced herself and took our drink orders. We ordered the Biggie mimosa tower for the table and checked out the menu. I ordered the chicken biscuit and it did not disappoint! The home fries were well seasoned and paired perfectly with the biscuit. Everyone in my party was happy with their meals and the service received. I would certainly return here next time I'm in the area. read more
About 15 of us girls met up for a Sunday Funday Brunch. This place is definitely lively! Make sure you come dressed to impress. There is a DJ playing all of the latest hits. This is a small restaurant and certainly get's packed, we had reservations and still had to wait 30 + min. for the party before us to leave. We ordered a round of mimosas to start and for entrée a few of us ordered the Short Rib Hash-Braised Short Rib, Spicy Potatoes, Peppers, Onions, Sunny Side Egg, Smoked Gouda Béchame YUMMERS! I love how they have some of the menu items named after rappers such as Lil Kim and Biggie smalls! Walked in at 115am on a Tuesday, nothing makes you feel worse than walking in that late for a bar that closes at 2am, however, the bartenders both looked at me like I shouldn't be here at this time of night, I didn't feel bad for ordering a drink since they close at 2am.. I ordered a drink at 115am and was immediately closed out without a ask (cool, no biggie) 120am a couple walks in and gets 2 shots, 2 coronas & a drink without swiping a card (assuming they work in the area, again no big deal), 120am a group of 10 people walks in and the two bartenders are obviously frustrated but can't be anymore frustrated than my lone self walking in alone (jokes on you now & don't feel bad). It's currently 150am and haven't been checked on one time & everyone else around me has. I don't appreciate the lack of service based on who and what is here and currently writing this review, nobody is forcing you to work here. If you don't want to work here and serve customers then don't. I am an out of towner here for work, looking to disconnection from work but unfortunately disappointed in service of "PM B" & whoever else I could care so definitely won't be back in the future. Our waitress meant well but they were out of two different bottles of wine we ordered. They were accommodating by giving us another bottle at a discount to make up for it which I really appreciate but we didn't get our wine until after dinner was at the table which was disappointing. I had the salmon with Brussel sprouts which was actually really good and cooked well but the pico de gallo on top through me off, but it was easy to move to the side. Next time I'd just ask for it without. Two had a burger and said it was good. One had chicken wings and everyone ate some. Came with a lot of wings and they were good. read more

I went here for brunch and I had the chicken fried steak. It was such a huge portion that could easily be a shared plate. It was well seasoned and well flavored. Please note there is a $3 charge for an extra plate. During brunch there is a 2 hr limit per table and you may have to pay a deposit per person at the time of the reservation. Our server was readily available as needed. I will come back here to visit. read more

We went on a Saturday around 1:00pm for their Hip Hop Brunch to celebrate my bday. Man we had such a great time! It was packed but it was worth it. No complaints here or from anyone in my party. Great music, food, & drinks! It felt like a day party and everyone there was having a great time. Several guests were there celebrating their birthdays. The waiters came around with sparklers & brought me a shot as well. Our waiter Duriel (I hope I spelled his name right) was amazing & everything he suggested was spot on. We ordered a Biggie tropical mimosa tower. Several of us ordered the short rib hash with scrambled eggs instead of an over-easy egg...delicious & flavorful! Others ordered the chicken fried steak which was huge & they enjoyed it as well. When going for the Hip Hop brunch, you'll need to make the reservation in advance because the slots fill up quick and be prepared to pay $5.00 per person when booking the reservation. You are able to use it towards your tab, which paid for our mimosa tower. Also, try to make sure majority of your party is there on time. Otherwise, they won't seat you because each reservation has a 2 hour time limit and your time starts as soon as you sit at your table. Since it is located in The Star, parking could be a hassle depending on the time of your reservation. My friend and I had no problem finding parking at the parking lot across the street. However, several of my friends tried to park in the parking garage but nothing was available. It took them a long time to get out of the garage to try to find other parking. read more
Hands down. My favourite brunch spot in Plano. I can't believe my second time here I had the best time ever. Their Mamosa towers are worth every single dollar and this is coming from a Canadian. I had their chicken sliders, which were delicious. Their service was insane and the music was always on point. I've been here quite a few times and this time it was so tasty. The fried pickles are the best here and so good we devoured it. The redfish and shrimp scampi was so delicious with the Parmesan risotto. The Spicy Ragatoni with sausage was goood too. Our server was very attentive. We enjoyed our time here read more

The hip hop brunch is nice. The biscuit sandwich is tasty. Unfortunately, our server wasn't the best but it was very packed so I'll assume that was the reason we had to ask the hostess for her each time she disappeared. I'd come back and try some other items overall. read more

This place is fantastic! I love coming here for brunch! Excellent assortments of juice, food, and beverages! You can't go wrong when you want to turn up for brunch! Weekend Brunch Review If you're looking for music and drinks then Common Table is your brunch place. The DJ was playing great 90's and early 00's music and my tropical sunrise mimosa's were delicious. However, if you're looking for delicious food and vibes then Common Table is not the place. It reminds me of a Vegas Club turned into brunch. Brunch is every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm. Reservations are recommended. Experience As soon as you're seated you're immediately told about the two hour time limit. You're given menus but are rushed to order so that the kitchen don't back up and you can get you food out before the time limit. Tables are close together and outdoor seating by the DJ is limited. -------------------------------------------------------- I'm willing to try Common Table again on a weeknight during one of their daily specials, happy hour, or live music. My first visit did not deliver. read more

The Common Table has piqued my interest for a while now so i decided to finally order it for the first time for dinner tonight! I got it delivered through 3rd party delivery so it took 30 minutes to get to me the food was still perfect temperature, I got the Bavarian pretzel bites as a appetizer which was amazing I mean so garlicky and buttery, I didn't even need the cheese sauce that it came with! As for the main dish the Double patty smash burger I would say it was a solid burger no complaints if you're looking for a classic juicy burger this is it! I'm excited to say I will be eating here again and more excited to try other food items from this place :) read more
This one's for the CULTURE! Hip-hop themed The Common Table provides a vibe curated brunch environment that comes second to none. From the drink towers, DJ, food options, Common Table is a party from beginning to end. Reservations are a must unless you want to wait! Food wise the menu offerings aren't as plentiful as other brunch spots, though there's enough options to get by. Definitely a must try if you're far north Dallas! read more

I'm from out of town and stopped by to have Sunday brunch. The ambiance was nice, music was vibin' and the food was good. I got there about 1030am and there was not wait. But it did get full and the time passed. The only thing that was odd that the tip was already included on my bill and was not allowed to be changed. read more
The hostess was rude and she made my first impression on the restaurant a negative one but my waitress Amanda was pleasant and made things better. It was Sunday brunch with the girls so it was HOT Dallas eating outside but once the drinks came to the table we enjoyed ourselves in the beautiful Dallas. Now the drinks were awesome. We went here for the brunch on Sunday which is hip hop themed! It was overall a great time. Food was awesome, staff was great. My one problem was how overly loud the music was on the patio. I feel like I could barely have a conversation with how loud it was. I got the grilled cheese and my fiance got the short rib hash. Both were delicious and we defintely were satisfied. We also go the mimosa tower and oh wow, it's a lot of mimosa! Next time we would probably just order single drink unless there was more than two of us. read more

**Heads up to ANYONE going here, in your reservations you MUST specify indoors or outdoors, otherwise you'll be seated wherever they want - rain, wind or below freezing temperatures doesn't matter. And be aware an 18% gratuity will automatically be added to each bill, not just groups, every single individual IN ADDITION to a 2.6% convenience tax. ---- After dozens of searches for a great brunch spot to celebrate my 40th birthday with girlfriends I settled on Common Table. First let me say our waitress Nesa R was AMAZING! So friendly, so kind and very attentive to our table, drinks, etc. Needless to say we didn't have the best experience, thus the two stars. As noted on the website I made a reservation weeks in advance. Under "special instructions" I noted we were celebrating my 40th bday. We arrived on Saturday morning ready to celebrate and checked in with the hostess - this is where things went downhill. We were told that although we had a reservation we would be seating outdoors in the 40 degree blowing weather. I laughed thinking she was joking, but she assured me she was not. I was shocked as to why we wouldn't be seated warmly indoors, we had a reservation after-all. I was rudely told that they seat indoors on a first-come-first-serve basis and then she added that I never specified indoors on my reservation and was told I should have included that detail in the "special instructions" portion of my reservation - WHAT the heck?! I'm sorry but I've probably made hundreds of reservations in my life and NEVER have I been told I need to specify I want to eat INDOORS on ANY reservation. We looked around and could see plenty of empty tables, including a table for only four people (there were 3 of us) but were told they were for larger parties arriving after us. We reminded her she'd just told us they seat on a first-come-first-serve basis and we were met with an even ruder, "that's not for you". Dumbfounded as to what to do next as it was 11am on a Saturday AND my birthday no less! We managed to squeeze into a couple spots at the bar as we tried to decide on our next move. The bartenders were incredible! One guy and one girl - both were filled with joy and had us laughing instantaneously. We did ask to speak to the manager, who was very kind, but defended the hostess & the fact there were no less than 20 empty seats indoors. She finally allowed the three of us to sit at the empty high top table & offered to comp us mimosas, which was kind but they were only $3 for brunch so she comp'd us $9 . The waitress & bar tenders were great, but the food was okay and the music was so loud we were practically yelling all morning - not my scene. read more
I stopped here for their happy hour specials before going to an event. Discount glasses of wine, and half price apps? Score. It was not very busy, and early on a weeknight, so I scored a place on the patio. Jada was my server, and very nice, but I absolutely hate it when servers call me by cutesy names. I do not want to be referred to as "queen". It just seems patronizing to me. I also do not care to be called sweetheart or hun. But that is just me. The wine options were nice, the patio was nice, and all of their apps were half off, including their charcuterie board. I opted for the board, but I should have checked the yelp reviews beforehand. It was lackluster. For the price I paid, it was ok, if I had paid full price for it I would have been displeased. The meat options were salami, salami, and salami. A piece of toast. Pickled veggies. Some weird options for cheeses, one was a gouda, that was actually pretty good, the others were hard dry cheeses an didn't seem to fit. Honeycomb and jalapeno jam. It just didn't seem to fit with the location and reputation of the establishment. It wasn't awesome. It was mostly pickles and a piece of toast. I will not be ordering this again. read more

When is the hip hop brunch?
We have brunch Saturdays from 10am until 4pm and Sundays during the summer from 10am until 7pm. All of our brunch hours are considered “Hip Hop” brunch!
Is the common table 21+?
Nope i see kids in there all the time. Possibly after a certain time of night it may be since they are open until 2am but even still i don't believe so
