The atmosphere was lively and felt like we could easily make a friend or two. Our server promptly greeted us and we fed on his energy while he made us feel comfortable. The food was hot and our drinks were cold, just how it should be. I ordered a Japanese whisky with coffee, kind of a unique spin on an Irish coffee. Came out late night for a drink and was completely ignored by 2 patio waitresses for almost 20 minutes. They literally averted their eyes to where my husband and I were sitting. A waiter came by to help us eventually. He was very nice, but told us the kitchen was closed when we see other tables later ordered food. Hip Hop Brunch on Sunday, the 6th was my first experience at this restaurant. I had a great time -- Ashley is a top-tier server. Love her energy and overall service, not only with my party and I but with other guests nearby. Drinks were on point & food was great (minus one star because the waffles of the chicken & waffles, not pictured, were doughy -- let it cook for an extra 5-10 mins). Mimosa tower got me there. I've visited several times before. I love the food and atmosphere. So much that when I have out of town guests, I make sure we have weekend brunch here. I always have a reservation and I'm always on time. However, this past weekend was a complete mess. I arrived with my guest on time with a reservation for Saturday at 12:45p. The hostess attempted to sit us at two separate tables without an umbrella in TX heat at almost the 1 o'clock hour. Nothing was available inside. When we inquired why we did have a table, she did not have an answer. When I asked how long of a wait there was for better seating, she stated at least an hour. Then what's the point of reservations? I understand money/profits are important. However, you all may want to look into timed/time-limited seating. People just there taking up space and not spending another nickel for hours. My favorite dish was the Kobe Beef Corndogs - I really could have eaten them all as my meal, they are a great app to start off with! I love their white sangria, they serve their white and red with skittles mixed in the bottom! Today I visited common table for the 10th consecutive Sunday for the hip hop brunch and notice the music change and when I ask the manager Lisa the reason for it, she rudely suggested that I go to mi cocina. I frequently visit this establishment all the way from Dallas with several of my friends and have never been treated so rudely by management for asking a simple question. Every Sunday my friends and I spend well over 1k in this restaurant and to be treated so rudely for asking a simple question for noticing a significant change is absurd. You know that feeling you get when you find a restaurant you could spend all day in? My husband and I both felt this day when we went on a little day date to grab a late lunch for my birthday. We were greeted immediately by a SUPER friendly bar tender. She immediately began helping us narrow down our beer choices and brought us samples of different beers to try. She was knowledgeable and not the least bit snobby about it which sometimes you get from places that have a ton of beers on draft. The food was great, I had a Cuban sandwich which had a Texas flare. It was awesome and served with a HUGE side of fresh cut- house made- potato chips. My husband had the Notorious P.I.G. He loved it - I dipped my chips in the beer cheese that was dripping off his burger- wow- so good. We will for sure be back, this is a for sure spot for us. I've been to this location a few times and its become a "go to" spot when I have family members in town. I took my mom here recently on her visit and she absolutely loved it. They have a large selection of beers and the food is delicious and unique. They also have a four course food and beer pairing meal every Monday called the "Pour Mans Dinner". I absolutely love this. It's such a good deal and its always great pairings. I also love that they are always rotating their beer menu so you can always find something new. Staff is always helpful with selections and recommendations if there is too much to choose from. They are quick and efficient and definitely go above and beyond to accommodate. Only 7 people sitting around the bar at 4;30 pm. Service was horrible. I sat by myself for 10 minutes without anyone approaching me for an order. I then sat with an empty glass of wine for another 10 minutes until I had to flag someone down to ask me if I wanted anything else. I just ordered coffee the second round. Wow. Total circus minus the excitement. We sat down and had three different waiters walk past us. One explaining she was off the clock and would find our person. Another asking if a young lazy guy if he could assist us and him stating no it wasn't his section. FINALLY Jennifer shows up with a smile and an apology asking if she could get us anything. Not her section but realized one couple has already walked out and another complained. The staff is lazy and has no drive. Jennifer is the only positive thing about this place. Give her a raise and show her your appreciation. She is the only reason we stayed. The drinks are good too! The WORST customer service I have ever received... we booked a table inside and was given outside. Was told that they had to "pick and choose" who got what... I'm sorry, but as customer service you don't "pick and choose" who sits where. We had to wait for a group of 16 to leave when the rules right now due to Covid are groups larger than 10 may not congregate. We kindly asked both hostess to sit inside as requested and they both said "oh no we can't sit you there, we are actually over capacity" which should not have been an issue in the first place if you are properly social distancing due to everything going on. We then received a phone call telling us that LISA the "GM" will be calling the police since we left our FULL pitcher at the table... we called to ask for clarification and she yelled at us over the phone and refused to explain everything that happened. We will be placing a complaint to the city since their staff is not wearing masks, or practicing proper social distancing rules, etc. as someone who works for customer service, my girl Lisa needs to consider a different career. UPDATE: turns out that Lisa the general manager as she introduced herself. Said over the phone that the only reason our seating was an issue is because "you're a minority group" excuse me?! You have crossed a line. As a manager myself I have and will NEVER treat someone with the DISRESPECT that Lisa demonstrated, next time use the words you used in person and don't hide behind a telephone. read more

The service was really slow, but they comp'ed our appetizer, so I can't complain since it was remedied. We started out with the philly cheesesteak eggrolls which were GREAT. They were creamy inside with just the right amount of crunch and spice. I ordered the cuban at the recommendation of the waitress, and it was delicious. Pulled pork with ham on a crunchy, toasted bun. It was awesome and super flavorful. My friends ordered the notorious PIG which received rave reviews, and the pot pie. Everyone left really happy with their food. My own complaints would be the service (again, remedied) and the beer list. They have a LOT of heavier beers (stouts, IPA's, porters, etc). It is Summer. The date lunch was just my husband and I- we sat at the bar, had a couple cocktails and ate.
