And when we asked the salesperson for something comparable to what we were looking at, hoping maybe for a brand we hadn't considered, they weren't very forthcoming - do you have Subzero? Do you have Kitchenaid? etc. If we couldn't think of a brand name off the top of our head, it wasn't suggested. Prices are not displayed on many appliances - we had to ask, and the salesperson had to go look it up each time.

I don't understand how this level of follow-through is acceptable in a sales role, especially after the purchase has been made.
