I've never been to the area before, but came here on a Friday night for drinks. I will say our server, Becca, was awesome. She was very enthusiastic, and really easy to talk to. She kept making jokes with our friends, and learned all of our names, it was refreshing to have such good service. The atmosphere on a Friday night was laid back, we played darts and stood by the pool table, it wasn't very busy. They also have a nice outdoor patio. Ordered the vegetable wrap with goat cheese ---- a BIG mistake ! The bottom of the wrap was burned to the point of being black. The vegs, which were all but mush, tasted as if they had soaked (NOT marinated, but SOAKED) in too much vinegar for far too long, and were an unappetizing, decaying brown/green color. There was barely a hint of goat cheese, and that was in a far corner of the wrap. Some food should NEVER leave the kitchen! read more

Unfortunately the manager here made my 5 star rating go down to a 1 star rating. The atmosphere is great, we had a ball singing karaoke and enjoying good company. The bartenders were fantastic. But, the manager stuck my husband and I with a $65 bill because we apparently played pool and didn't return the balls fast enough. Neither one of us touched a pool table and no one in our party did either, but he did not listen to us. We paid the bill anyway because Dan (the manager) would not drop it and we just wanted him off our back. We will not be returning...be careful of standing near the pool tables and talking with friends, they will stick you with a large tab!!! read more

A wonderful find in New Town, low key environment, but incredible food, great service and reasonable prices. The chef, Jessica, offers a truly delicious selection of unique combinations like the salmon bruschetta and yummy fried oyster po sandwich. And leave room for the desserts. The caramel apple pie a la mode would have been delicious as just apple pie, with the caramel top it ranks in my top favorite desserts. Ask for Hannah the server! This place rocks! Went to Williamsburg on a whim one weekend and decided one night to have a few drinks. I yelped a few places and we decided on The Corner Pocket. Best night ever! We had no idea they did karaoke here. What a great time watching and listening to the singers perform. There is a relaxed vibe here. It's like cheers, everyone was so friendly. The pregnant bartender (yes, total irony) was awesome and she made a mean dirty martini! If I lived in Williamsburg this is one place I would totally frequent! During our night we ran into a Jonah Hill lookalike and a Khloe Kardashian lookalike. Everyone here was great! I'd definitely go again!!! read more

Billiards, darts, bar food, and drinks-- check. This place has a great atmosphere and a bar staff with great skills and personality for a sports bar. Playlist was a cross between SiriusXM Lithium and 90's on 9. Their menu is impressive (more then I thought would be offered) and the food was good. As a chicken wing foode, their chicken wing game can use some work. I was also impressed as a frequent dart player that they even had Winmau Blade4 boards accurately hung (two Blade3s & two Blade 4s). Playing billiards is a little steep ($8 an hour solo at night) but their dart games are free. read more

Consider this a lesser version of The Green Leafe. The restaurant is divided into two sections: one section full of pool tables with a bar, and another with several booths for eating. The vibe feels kind of run-down, and the service was polite but not particularly nice or attentive. The food was delicious though; I had the crabcake burger with waffle fries and it definitely had a lot of flavor. In fact, my one complaint about the burger was that the remoulade completely overwhelmed the deliciously-sweet crabcake. I would have enjoyed my meal a lot more had it not been so overpriced; the burger was about 2 or 3$ more than other places in the area. Overall, while the food was tasty, there are other restaurants nearby with better food for cheaper prices. read more

I have eaten here several times with friends, and I've got to say I'm very happy with the food and the service. Big Kudos -- Hats off to them serving a real dinner menu (not fried cheese and nachos -- real food) until closing on a Sunday (if you can believe it -- totally made my night after flying in late) in Williamsburg (of all places)!!! Love the burgers, great beer selection. Only comment -- they can try to take it up a notch on some of the other items (for example, Jambalaya *should* be spicy -- don't be afraid that someone will send it back) but hey I can't blame them; this is the complaint capital of Hampton Roads. read more

Though I miss its old location, I have to admit that this place is pretty well-designed to function as a bar, a restaurant, and a pool hall. I've even been to a couple of private bar/bat mitzvahs held here that came off quite nicely. The food is good, a solid notch above what you'd expect from a place like this - and they're able to achieve both the bar munchie and the business lunch with success. The pool tables are spaced far enough apart that you're not self-conscious about getting in people's way, and there are enough of them that you probably won't have to wait too long. It's also not too loud to have a conversation in there, so it seems to me that this place would appeal to pretty much anyone. read more

Very disappointing. This is one of the only places in Williamsburg that I could find with dart boards, but they're unusable due to location. On any given night, this place is packed and the pool tables are full up, and the dart boards are hung up right in the midst of the seating for the pool players. read more

I actually liked the old bar menu a bit better, but the new "upscale" menu is okay. They got rid of my favorite dish the meatloaf sandwich. They do have a really great nachos. I visited The Corner Pocket on a Sunday night to see a friend of mine who recently got a job bartending there. A friend and I split a couple appetizers and both were delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with a good amount of pool tables on one side of the bar. The other side is a sort of dining room that was empty (with it being late on a Sunday) but seemed comfortable. The bartender recommended a couple appetizers to share and we enjoyed both. We made our way to the pool tables for a bit even though my friend and I both suck at pool. Overall, great place with a friendly staff. I haven't tried any other places in the area, but I would definitely be back to Corner Pocket if I'm in the area again. read more
