This establishment was such a gem to find while visiting the area on Father's Day. My experience here was bliss, the service here was great. Thank you to the staff that took my order as well as whoever prepared my incredible meal. You guys exceeded any expectation I could've had. Thank you again to the individual who took my order and helped me choose some pastries to take home, you have great taste. Made my experience better with your presence, thank you for trying to close the box with the pastries inside. I was also surprised to see that there was live music being played by this sweet couple while I ate inside, thank you two as well for amplifying the ambience with your voice and talent. I would visit more if not for that fact I live an hour away. Thank you.

    Tres leches

The good: I tried a Popeye's spinach wrap with turkey and bell peppers. The store is very cute and nestled in a neighborhood giving it a true "corner store" feel. The interior is spacious with vaulted ceilings and is very kid-friendly. They sell Melissa and Doug toys, placemats for kids, and have crayons out that kids can use to draw. I know they're known for their cheesecake but I tried the tres leches instead and it was great! It was balanced with the right amount of sweetness/moisture. The wrap comes with your choice of a side and I chose the chips. The salt and crunch helped balance the wrap which was softer/blander. The wrap tasted fresh and the bell pepper was refreshing and different. The bad: I wish the wrap came standard with mayo and mustard instead of us having to add it in from packets on the side. The server forgot to make the almond latte so I had to go up to the counter to request it. The almond latte tasted very much of artificial almond flavoring. My husband wasn't a huge fan of it. I didn't care for the canned peach slice on the tres leches but it did make it look pretty. The interesting: I like their random assortment of things in the store. Some stuff like wine and charcuterie boards were displayed on a long table. Other items displayed on an old stove. Beer in the back in the big fridge. Random shelves with chips or toys. They also sold tons of local clothing items like sweaters, dog clothes and hats. It's walking distance to an ocean view.

    Tuna & Egg Sandwich.

Hands down one of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever had. The bread is perfectly toasted, and the combination of the creamy tuna, fresh avocado, egg, and crispy veg is incredible. The mac salad on the side is super creamy and the pickle is the perfect tangy finish. The service is always excellent. The ambience was calm and relaxing. The Corner Store never misses!

Got the Breakfast Sandwich with Sausage. Very enjoyable. I had the bagel substituted with a croissant. The croissant was crispy, flaky and buttery. The gentleman behind the counter confirmed that the croissant was made in house. Good amount of cheesy gooeyness in the sandwich. Dining is available inside plus some tables outside. Ordering can be done at the register or via kiosk. TCS is located in the middle of a residential area. I went there on a Sunday morning and did not have any issues finding parking in the street. Service was very friendly, helpful and prompt.

Super cute hidden gem! Glad I got to try it, they have pretty basic "cafe" food items like pastries and breakfast sandwiches, coffee etc. I ended up ordering a breakfast sandwich, and was able to substitute the bagel it comes on for a croissant which was really nice of them to do for me, along with a regular latte, it all tasted really good! Our food came out at a reasonable time but the drinks did take quite a while, however the worker formally apologized to us & said that's not typical for them & it just so happen to get busy right behind us, which was true! but I really appreciated her taking a moment to apologize for something she had not a lot of control over, that gave me really good vibes & is a 10/10 customer service for me! Would definitely come back here for the nice chill environment and to try other things from their menu! :)

Food took FOREVER. We asked for water and after waiting 20 minutes, they only brought out one and it had black stuff in it. Disgusting

The corner Store may not be 100% back but the new owners apparently were gifted the old giraffe and they had some music scheduled! I appreciated the previous owners changing some things like opening the side yard, but I was lost when the Sailor's Delight fell off the menu. I can say it's back! It tastes great - maybe a tad smaller than before - but it and chips with a Dads Root Beer was great. Some benches to sit at. A great start! Not many "odd/ interesting sodas" but the Portuguese Blend was really good too.

Our eBike Group stopped here today for lunch. The food was very good. We had everything from wraps to sandwiches along with different drinks and the service was excellent. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We already talked about going here on a regular basis.

I've been coming to this cute and nostalgic place called The Corner Store for over 20years and it pained my heart to see my childhood diminish owner after owner. BUT I am happy to say that I really think this new owner David seems to be putting in the necessary work to revive The Corner Store & I couldn't be happier ! My friend and I stopped by today and ordered 2 iced horchata lattes, a chorizo breakfast burrito and some baked goods. Definitely excited for what is to come. The breakfast burrito was delicious & so are the Italian sodas they make! Croissant Cinnamon roll warmed up; yes please !! MUST be warmed up though! Go show them some love and support!

Great environment! The staff is really nice!!! But my order was completed wrong. Ordered a chorizo bagel sandwich and got a sausage bagel that was burnt a bit!?

I took my husband to The Corner Store for Father's Day and we had a great meal. We had the opportunity to meet the new owner, David. Congratulations to you and your team. The ladies made great food suggestions. We will be sure to get the breakfast burrito next time. All of their baked goods are prepared in house.

My steak sandwich was huge and the meat was as tender as I remember. So glad a friend mentioned he saw someone on social media who gave A-1 a glowing review that led us to grabbing sandwiches and hanging out at Averill Park to catch up on things. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative might be the parking which is street only. We got lucky and it wasn't very busy this is not always the case. There isn't anyplace to eat in the market but there is a park across the street. They do have some shady characters hanging around at times so you might want to find a different location to eat your food if you're not taking it home.

The buildout probably took longer than the owners would have liked, but it's finally open. If you visited the original location, the menu remains the same, and the food tastes just as good as before.
