Came here on a Thursday night around 9:20pm. I had called at 9pm to see what time there last call was and was told 9:30-9:40. We got there at 9:20pm and was told to sit at any of the booth by the window. We knew what we wanted so we ordered right away. We ordered 3lb peeled shrimp the crab shack style medium with corn, sausage and potatoes. My friend ordered a modelo which they had on tap. Food came out in reasonable time about 15mins or so. The waiter placed the food on the table and cut the bag open and boy was it hot. The flavor was really good and let me tell you medium spice level had my mouth on fire. We didn't feel rushed or anything and the waitress came around to the tables to let us know if we wanted to order anything else since the kitchen was closing. We asked for our check and roughly came out to around $75 for everything which wasn't bad at all. Will be coming back again! read more

It's a good amount of spice so I would think twice before getting medium (depending on your taste buds and what you can handle) I like spice and it was just enough (made my nose run a lillll bit but not too much that I couldn't enjoy the food. So, food is legit. Shrimp wasn't overcooked, which is a common problem. Crab was good, they weren't to stingy with their sauces, and they didn't overseason. Service was friendly and efficient. Why 4 stars? The rice. There were an awful lot of Asian customers, and a couple members of the staff that day were asian. Somebody say something. I did. I told them I was happy with everything but that Uncle Ben's or whatever it was that they served as rice was not good, It was that kind you buy in an American supermarket in a box. All chewy and al dente, a weird gritty texture, and doesn't taste like rice. We rice at home everyday. I know rice. If you're Asian and reading this you know rice. I need rice when I eat. This place may have just unseated Boiling Crab for me when it comes to Cajun seafood boil restaurants. Not only do they have the typical seafood boil options, they've also got some unique entrees that can satisfy a many people. This Crab Shack location is right next to an Arby's location and has a decent amount of parking spaces in the lot directly attached to the Crab Shack building. The restaurant has a large dining area and when I visited on a Sunday night, had quite a few open tables. The restaurant easily fit a large reservation of 20 people in two separate long rows of tables. The restaurant is fairly new and you can tell by the space. There are a ton of TVs which is a perfect place to grab dinner & watch the game. The bathrooms are clean & tidy as well with a communal hand washing area; an easily accessible hand wash area after a seafood boil is key! The food itself was great. In terms of seasoning for their seafood boil, the garlic butter was my favorite. It pairs well with their shrimp, especially with the salt + pepper + lime on the table. My family also notes that their shrimp is perfectly boiled which is important because overcooked shrimp is difficult to peel. One quirky thing that I think the Crab Shack does which I appreciate is that they mix their salt & pepper in ketchup bottle. Doing this makes it incredibly convenient. Thank you The Crab Shack! If you visit the Crab Shack, I would not leave without trying their Garlic Noodles & the Crab Shack Garlic Fried Rice. Both are buttery and incredibly flavorful, almost addictive! Crawfish and shrimp was boiled perfectly. It's not over cooked where the meat sticks to the shell. Also the shrimp size is much bigger then other places. And crawfish as well. no ordinary garlic noodles like elsewhere... it has shrimps n seared bits of sausage stir fried perfectly, great flavoring as well, nothing was over seasoned or salty. Unfortunately, the pasta/noodle looked and tasted..... microwaved but the flavor was so good it didn't matter! By the time I decided to say something about it the plate was clean If noodles were freshly made it would've tasted much better with better score! (Perhaps 5?) The lights were bright, and it had an eerie feel to it. We almost left because it seemed really sketchy to eat at an almost-empty large restaurant. But we stayed, and did not get sick from the food, as we had feared! The crab was cooked well. The sauce/spice mix was nowhere near as good as Boiling Crab. Fries were tasty. Came here at noon for their grand opening and initially a little disappointed.... here's why. 1) tons of people in the waiting area BUT there are tons of open tables and yet people are still waiting to be seated? Weird. We came around 12:10 and didn't get seated until 12:45. 2) there is no host... hello, say hi. Welcome your new customers. It's a grand opening, I would except that there would be at least someone saying hi/thanks for coming. Not a good welcome as most restaurants would have. 3) SERVICE IS SO BAD.... I'm so embarrassed. We had to ask for so many things (fork, bibs, sauce, water, etc). Servers are disorganized and they don't communicate with each other. Half the workers are wearing sunglasses, shorts, flip flops???? And the other half of them are wearing black T-shirt's. Weird. 4) Food/drinks. How are you going to advertise that you have Heineken... and then run out that same day?? Ahhhhh. Oysters came on regular ice and half of the ice melted when I got my oysters... so a bunch of water came inside. Not a good taste. Bleh. Their horseradish was odd as it came mixed. We ordered combo #2. Not a bad combo. Flavor was pretty good and spice was a little more spicier than we anticipated. The food is amazing this wasn't my first time here. It's the service for the reason for the poor review. Typically when you go to a restaurant and the waitress or waiter is leaving or going on break they let you know hey I'm leaving but so and so will e taking care of you. I ordered raw oysters when I first got there they came out about 40mins later after all out other food had come out. We had to keep having someone down to assist us even another customer had to wave someone down for us. The guys were standing around talking and laughing not paying attention to any customers. I'm usually an amazing tipper I left 0.00 we were not service and to know that we weren't even on the waiters radar when there were only 3 tables to be waited on. Well Cypress added another great restaurant. We had dinner there on Friday night. The food was not only great you got more than enough so you can take home some. We had fried oysters (excellent) a pound of peeled shrimp (awesome) . The Crab cakes were not spicy and a bit on the bland side. And the garlic noodles were tasty but the noodles are fat We prefer Angel hair pasta. You must have the Funnel cake for dessert it was excellent! Great friendly atmosphere and service!
