Scrimshaw beer on tap, from Fort Bragg, California. My favorite!
    Jenni G.

I enjoyed a refreshing draft Scrimshaw beer at this place, which is one of my favorite beers. To eat, I recommend the steamed clams. The broth was delicious, and I loved the spinach in it. Nice appetizer to share, or as a light entree for one. Good service, and a beautiful patio.

Creek Eatery is a fantastic neighborhood gem that perfectly captures that classic Italian feel with a modern, welcoming touch. We love going there & eating in their spacious patio for a relaxed meal. The menu hits all the right notes with authentic flavors, and the balance of indoor-outdoor seating makes it a great spot for everything from a casual weeknight dinner to a special date night. Our favorites are lamb skewers, Mezze platter, Fries, buratta, brussel sprouts, Pesto pasta and vegetarian pizza. They have a full bar and great wine selection too. Make reservations for the weekend its always packed! We love having this eatery in our neighborhood :) Ambiance: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Seating: indoor Parking: Ample, free parking available Price: $40-$50 per person

Went here with my family for a weekend lunch! We love going to this place because everyone is so nice, the food is delicious, and the restaurant looks very inviting and stylish. This place can get pretty busy sometimes, but you can easily make a reservation on OpenTable! For our lunch this time, we got the lamb, a margherita pizza, Caesar salad, and the seafood pasta. Everything was delicious! The lamb was sooo juicy and paired well with the mashed potatoes. The salad was refreshing while the pizza was very flavorful. The seafood pasta usually comes with red sauce, but my mother prefers white and they happily accommodated! As always, it's a great time for a family outing!

I found this place on yelp while searching for a brunch place in the area. It was about noon on a Sunday, and it wasn't busy. We were given the option of lunch or breakfast menu then got seated. The interior is really nice. It's spacious, and there's a bar section tucked in the back. There's also a patio area, so you can bring your dog with you. I ordered the shrimp & grits, and my wife ordered a side of corned beef & hash and toast. We also ordered 2 eggs on the side. The shrimp and grits was tasty. The grits had good buttery, cheesy flavor and texture, but I thought it was too thick. It could be creamier. The rest of the dish was pretty good. The shrimp was well-cooked, and the sauce and bacon topper was good. The serving was so huge. I ate less than a quarter of it and took the rest of home. The corned beef & hash was served without the hash, so they too it back and added the hash. It also tasted really good. Without the hash, the corned beef was pretty salty. The hash was nice and crispy, just how my wife likes it. I'm glad to have found this place and plan to come back to try more items. Food was good and reasonably priced, service was quick, and servers were friendly.

The private room was just right for our group. The server did a great job as well. He and the staff came back regularly to check on us. Most of the food was very tasty. The chef was a heavy handed with the salt for the linguine and clams. I only had a couple of bites. Overall, it was a good experience.

I have had two birthday parties here and the service & food were amazing. For my husband's 50th we had a party of 14 people and the bill came out to $750.00 including drinks.

Came here on a Monday during their happy hour. I really enjoy the ambiance and the outdoor patio. The pizza was so fresh and the pesto pizza was so good. Overall, great service and I would come back for more pasta!

I really liked the decor & vibe of this restaurant. Came for lunch on a Saturday. They have lots of outdoor seating, but I chose to sit at the bar. Many TVs to watch sports, but they play top 40 music instead of the audio for a game. My server was great as she was friendly & cheerful & very attentive. Suggested a food item for me which I did order. My food was very good. They carry 1 sour beer which was delicious! Plenty of parking as there are several other businesses here, including a grocery store, Cafe, Mexican restaurant and a handful of other types of businesses. They also offer happy hour. See my pix for the times.

We came for New Year's Day dinner, and we made a reservation for 10 even though they said there wouldn't be a wait when we arrive. But, it was great we made a reservation since they had us set up in their private room that comfortable would seat 12 people. Our server was attentive, refilling drinks, checking in on us, etc. The other servers and wait staff were great too. Very friendly and asking if we needed anything. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because our food didn't come out at the same time, and it was a wait between serving our main dishes. The last meal that came out was maybe 15 minutes after the first meal. Some of us were almost done eating by the time the last meal came out. I think just timing on meal service would make me change this review to 5 stars. But the menu is big and the food is good, so I would want to come back to try other dishes.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch last month. We were welcome warmly into the restaurant. The restaurant has a great friendly vibe. We were meeting a friend and there was no problem with us being seated so we could order a drink before our friend arrived. Our server Enrique provided some of the best service we have ever had. He treated us like old friends instead of someone he had just met. The restaurant is decorated with an earthy outdoor feel to it. There is also outdoor patio seating that we will try the next time we come here. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The whole dining experience from the time we walked in the front door until the time we left, was a top shelf experience. We will definitely be back here again. I fully recommend coming here if you want a 5 star dining experience.

    Short Rib Omelette

We had brunch here last month. It wasn't crowded so it was nice and relaxing in a casual setting. My short rib omelette was pretty good but underseasoned. Our table shared the Nutella French Toast. It hit the spot with the rich chocolatey hazelnut and sliced bananas. Coffee was great and refilled several times. Service was friendly and attentive.

Ahhh Creek Eatery! It was my first time here, and when I visited with my family, I didn't enjoy the food or service. My family enjoyed the food, so I may have ordered the wrong items. When we sat down, many staff members came to our table and helped us! It was odd having a couple of waitresses help; it felt almost disorganized. Upon arriving, my family were hyping up the spicy fried green beans, which were not too hot but very crispy. The calamari was decent as well, starting the meal. I wanted something not too heavy, so I got their BLT with fries, which was good initially, but I realized the bacon was fat and oily. It was not edible, so I pulled it all out. Then, the fries were soggy because they were also oily. It's not too hard to mess up fries, cmon haha! I wanted to enjoy this place but left hungry. Overall, I had a bad taste in my mouth, literally, and I wouldn't come back, unfortunately. I'm super happy my family members enjoyed it, though.

I have never once been disappointed with a dish, and I love trying new dishes on their menu. The staff is awesome, and the place has a cool astehtic vibe. I highly recommend, just know that it is a bit pricey but the experience is totally worth it. P.S. they give you palate cleaners snack in between courses for free. I had hibiscus herbal tea and and an adorable mini waffle cone, filled with crème fraîche, and topped with caviar (honestly never thought I'd like caviar before trying out this place for the first time).

It took about 20-30 minutes for her to come back and take our food order after we placed our initial drink orders with her. Throughout the dinner, her demeanor felt very passive aggressive, and there were several moments where we felt like we were being given attitude despite everyone in our group being polite. My friend asked for extra olives with his martini and she responded with a rude "Really?" while making a face. It was such an unnecessary reaction to a totally simple and normal request. She also recommended that we order family style, which we followed, but the pacing between courses was extremely slow. We waited around 30+ minutes between our pasta and our protein entrees. For a restaurant that specifically recommends family style dining, the courses should be paced more appropriately so the table isn't sitting around waiting for the next round of food. The birthday cake situation was also frustrating. We had given our cake to the hostess when we arrived, but I guess our server was never notified of that. When I asked about a candle, she said she would bring it out with the birthday dessert, but brought out the restaurant's dessert instead. When she realized we had our own cake, she immediately took the bill back and said she needed to add the cake fee. The issue with that was we weren't asking them to cut or plate the cake. We just wanted to sing Happy Birthday, then have it boxed back up. She had assumed we wanted the cake service without actually asking us, and when we clarified, her response was, "Well, that's why I asked earlier," even though she hadn't actually asked us. None of us gave her a hard time or were anything but polite throughout the evening, which made the repeated attitude especially disappointing. The food wasn't terrible and the drinks were great, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, but spending around $900, which included a 20% automatic gratuity, you'd expect the service to match the price point, even though service should always be good regardless. Unfortunately, the poor service really overshadowed what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my friend and left all of us with a bad taste in our mouths.

I walked in and stood waiting to be seated while an employee, who appeared to be the owner or manager, continued talking with her kids instead of acknowledging customers. I don't mind waiting, but a simple "We'll be right with you" would have made all the difference. I decided to give them another chance. On a later visit, I spent a few hours working there and ordered drinks. When a friend joined me, he sat down and was completely ignored. No one came over to greet him or ask if he'd like anything. We eventually had to flag someone down just so he could place an order. After that, our server mentioned that Tuesdays were buy one, get one free on wine. I ordered my second glass, but it never arrived. When I asked another server about it, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. The irony is that I would have happily paid full price--I wasn't the one asking for a deal. They were the ones who brought up the promotion, then acted bothered when I politely asked about the wine that was never delivered. The final straw was our most recent visit. We were seated at a table by the staff, only to be told a few minutes later that we had to move because the tables were supposedly reserved for the party sitting behind us. We moved without making an issue of it, but no one ever ended up using those tables for the entire time we were there. It was frustrating to be relocated after being seated, especially when the explanation didn't match what actually happened. At this point, it's hard to view these experiences as isolated incidents. The common theme has been inattentive service and an attitude that makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience rather than guests. There are too many great wine bars that genuinely appreciate their customers for me to spend any more time or money here.

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration in Downtown Livermore!…read more We came to Locanda Wine Bar in downtown Livermore on a Friday evening to celebrate my wife's birthday with friends, and we had an absolute blast! The vibe here is lively, fun, and vibrant. Reservations are definitely highly recommended since it gets so popular. The entire staff is awesome, but a massive shout-out goes to our waitress, Ashley--she was fantastic and provided incredible service throughout the entire night! We ordered a wide variety of dishes to share, and every single one was a hit: * Fritto Marechiaro: A wonderful mix of fresh calamari, jumbo prawns, sliced zucchini, and artichoke hearts. Everything was fried to a light, crispy perfection and paired wonderfully with the signature Locanda Capri sauce. * Pane e Olive: Crisp, fresh baguette from local Wingen Bakery served alongside Locanda's classic olive tapenade. Rich, savory, and the perfect starter bite. * Fiori di Zucca: Delicate zucchini blossoms stuffed with creamy ricotta and mozzarella, served over a rich marinara sauce. These were absolutely delicious and melted in your mouth. * Penne alla Vodka: Tender penne pasta tossed with smoked mozzarella, Parmesan, and cracked pepper in a rich, creamy vodka pink sauce. Yummy and comforting! * Parmigiana di Melanzane: Mamma Carmela's famous eggplant parmigiana layered with melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. Hearty, warm, and bursting with authentic Italian flavor. * Pollo Piccata: Tender organic chicken breast served in a bright, zesty lemon-butter sauce with Sicilian capers, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. * Branzino Locanda: Fresh Mediterranean seabass filet lightly breaded with panko and topped with a bright lemon sauce, served with velvety mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. Delicately crispy on the outside and wonderfully flaky inside. * Polpette della Mamma: Homemade beef meatballs cooked to tender perfection, served in a rich marinara sauce with Parmesan cheese and crisp crostini for dipping. Warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. * Beet Salad: A crisp, refreshing mix of wild baby arugula, mixed greens, sweet golden and red beets, tangy goat cheese crumbles, and juicy blood orange slices. * Espresso Martini & Wine: The drinks were top-tier. The espresso martini was amazing, bold, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered a bottle of Collefasani Bacchanalia Falerno del Massico Bianco D.O.C., which was served perfectly chilled--crisp, refreshing, and not too sweet. * Almond Cheesecake: For dessert, we treated ourselves to the almond cheesecake. It was rich, creamy, and served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream--the ideal sweet note to wrap up the night. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with great energy, outstanding hospitality, and incredible food.
