[[HIGHLIGHT]]Needed a pick me up in the morning, and walked into this space, it's a cozy lottle spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the spicy chai and the Magnum breakfast sandwich. The staff was friendly and got our orders out quickly. The magnum sandwich was good and decently filling. They weren't kidding about the spicy chai, it had enough heat to burn the back of my throat. Really good stuff. The design they put on top was cute too. I'd stop by again

Had the chance to try the crown for breakfast this morning and really enjoyed it! Unfortunately the steamer was broken so I didn't get to try the coffee but will look forward to trying it in the future. The breakfast burrito was good! It had a perfect grill. I ordered it with a side of green chili which was just ok. Would definitely be back for the burrito again and hope to try the coffee!

This is a delightful coffee shop that also serves cocktails. The ambiance is that of a cute coffee, with cozy seating inside, but it's also hip enough that it transitions well for a nighttime hangout. The homemade pastries are huge and extremely reasonably priced, especially for an area that attracts many tourists, and so are the drinks. My friends and I all got hot drinks to walk around with at night, and they were all delicious. Service was very friendly, and if you're a local, you can get a little discount. Highly recommend!

Went into The Crown while in Breck for a quick coffee and wow, it was slammed! This tells me good things for the next time I go back to visit. They have a huge selection of items to choose from such as coffee, hot boozy drinks, cocktails, breakfast, snacks and many nonalcoholic options. The coffee I ordered was pretty good and I'd definitely go back to try other menu items. It felt warm and cozy in there despite the business which was nice. 4 stars for now- will update once I go back for the full experience!

We visited this place twice during our time in Breckenridge! The first time was a Friday, it was really busy and we took our drinks to go. The second time was a Sunday morning right at 9 am--with most folks heading to the slopes we were able to get a seat and enjoy the adorable holiday decor and cozy atmosphere. We didn't wait long at all in line. We placed our order and sat at a high top while it was prepared; we could easily see them working on it and enjoyed overhearing them discuss skiing/the general camaraderie. We also really appreciated that once they saw us sit down they gave us our drinks in cute cups without us having to ask. The coffee itself was good! Not the best we have ever had, but still really solid and reasonably priced especially for a downtown touristy area. My husband's cappuccino was insanely hot but that's better than too cold! My iced vanilla latte with almond milk was made well and not too sweet. We also grabbed some bagel sandwiches which were solid. Definitely recommend stopping by at non peak hours to enjoy the place.

Stopped by to try their cubano latte (espresso with cinnamon and raw sugar). The espresso wasn't that strong, I tasted more milk than coffee. Friendly service and the restaurant was pretty packed. The place has a nice vibe to it.

Some of the best breakfast sandwiches (The Magnum on Croissant) or burritos. Lunch menu is pretty awesome too. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies and their in house made jumbo cinnamon rolls. It's limited indoor and outdoor seating with an Eclectic ambience. The Coffee is decent. read more

I've been wanting to try this place and for whatever reason I hadn't till today. I got the green chili and the power toast. I ate the chili before I could snap a picture but my lord. It was gooooooood the meat was super tender, full of flavor and so hearty. The power toast was also delicious. I'm not a feta person but it added just the right amount of saltiness. The cafe is small and was crowded but it didn't take long to snag a seat and the baristas were great. I was drawing on a paper towel and they offered me a pad of paper instead. Would definitely recommend and would come again read more

The pork green chili is 5 stars. I could and almost ate it everyday when I was in town recently. Meaty, nice portion, good value, great flavor...I want more now! The place gets really crowded and seating is hard to find when all the coffee drinkers are playing on their computers and taking up seats (and whole tables) but they will and did share the open chairs. Decent bloody mary's too. read more

This place was pretty crowded on a Sunday morning around 9:30am but we were able to find a table for 2. Ordered the 'French' bagel sandwich and a hot chocolate. Didn't try any of the coffee so can't really speak to that. The bagel sandwich was nothing spectacular but it also wasn't horrible. The hot chocolate on the other hand was tailored for kids because it was really really sweet. It reminded me of the Carnation Hot Cocoa mix that you get from the store. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually that brand of hot cocoa mix. I'd stop by again if I was looking for something quick and simple for the breakfast sandwich but would not get the hot chocolate again. read more

This place may be good for many things, but coffee isn't one of them. The Americano my husband got tasted like water with a hint of coffee. The "cortado" I got wasn't a cortado, but just a double shot with some milk splashed in. It was fine for what it was, but it wasn't a cortado. Anyway... hope their food is good! read more

Such a cute, warm, and tasty shop located right off the main street in Breckenridge. If doing takeout, they have you order right when you step in, but they also allow diners to eat at the tables if you order food. I only grabbed a large coffee, a tad expensive ($4.75) but ski town prices and a great taste! Cannot wait to come back. read more

It was raining in Breckenridge, and a cup of coffee sounded amazing, so I looked up this place on Yelp. A cozy little place, it was crowded on a morning like this, but everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. They had bookshelves of games, crackling fireplace, a lively bar area and even a couple tables on the patio. I love that for customers dining in, they serve everything in a big coffee mug, the paper cups are only for to go orders.The guy working the counter was friendly and made sure to tell me that he added extra chocolate in the chocolate milk I ordered for my kid. Two big thumbs up on that one, by the way. I ordered a café au lait with almond milk and sugar free hazelnut, which came out just as I liked it. We'd definitely stop in here again, they've got some nice menu choices as well if you are looking for a bite to eat. read more

After trying a few other coffee shops in town (with disappointing results) my husband and I tried the Crown and we are done trying other places. I've been getting the Cubano latte and my husband a regular latte. The staff are also very friendly and it's a cute place to hang out if you aren't in a rush, but to go coffee is also an option. read more

Probably my favorite place to have a latte in Breck in the afternoon. Cozy atmosphere-you can order your coffee (and lots of yummy pastries and other things to choose from) and cozy up by the fire or read in a comfy chair. The employees are super friendly. Really cute place in a sea of coffeehouses on the street. -$1.50 day old baked goods near the register... 4 stars. We selected two croissants and a cinnamon roll for a fraction of the price - tasted good, too. -Setting...5 stars. There's a fireplace, games like Jenga and chess, and plenty of seats in a cozy atmosphere. Drinks - Hot chocolate...3.5 stars. Ordered a large to share between the kids. It was a bit sweet for our liking. -French press with almond milk...3 stars. Had potential, but I wasn't crazy about it. When I served the coffee into the cup, it was lukewarm. I wish the staff had offered to heat the entire container, but instead, they heated each cup in the microwave, which I'm so not a fan of using. It was a pain to flag someone down every time we filled a cup. I also wish they offered soymilk as an alternative, but this wasn't as big a deal. I was told by the staff that the water doesn't always come out hot from the dispenser. I'd suggest checking the temperature of their beverages to ensure hot drinks for customers. read more

Me and my hubby stopped in for a late lunch and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the Green Pork Chili & the Ridge pressed sandwich and they were both phenomenal, 1000/10! The sandwich was loaded down and the chili had a bit of a kick to it which we both loved.! If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by excuse the bad picture we had already eaten over half the sandwich before I decided to take a picture read more

Based on reviews, we stopped at The Crown for our first lunch in Breck. It did not disappoint! We had the Harris (chicken salad), pesto flatbread, the ridge (ham, bacon, turkey, pepper jack etc), and two Jeffersons (chicken, pesto, Swiss, veggies) - one with chicken and one without for our vegetarian. All were delicious! The Harris was good, but I'd opt for pesto anything if I had it to do again. Another day I stopped for cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissants to take home - they were fabulous. I am always so disappointed when people are stingy with cinnamon roll frosting or WORSE use a stupid glaze, but this one had plenty of thick cream cheese frosting so it was the perfect ratio of frosting to chewy, bready cinnamon roll *insert heart eye emoji here*. Saw this place while walking around Breckinridge and needed an afternoon coffee pickup. It's a little small and crowded but overall cool place. I got the Irish coffee and my wife got the crown mocha. We both liked our drinks. They also had a variety of breakfast sandwiches, burritos and sandwiches for lunch that looked great and reasonably priced. read more

I have nothing negative to say about this establishment. We had a great lunch sitting outside in the back on a beautiful day. They just recently began indoor seating with a 45 minute limit per inside table, also offering outdoor seating out front and out back. As a huge bagel sandwich lover, I was extremely satisfied!! I got the French Asiago bagel. The bagel was just perfectly soft to not be too crunchy to eat, sandwich was hot, eggs were fluffy too. Highly recommend bagel sandwiches! read more

I'm obsessed with this place and have been since the day it opened. Awesome staff, great coffee, randomly serves ice cream, tasty sandwiches, and their bloody marys are almost perfect. Now the only problem I have is that I keep forgetting my loyalty card since it's just a punch card system... but if that's your only complaint, then I think they're on a roll. read more

I loved it so much I bought the t-shirt! I love everything about this place and consider it to be the epitome of a true coffee bar. The aromas, the hustle & bustle, the decor, the logo, the people, the baristas - all lend to the atmosphere. I wish I could have spent more time, just soaking it all in as I enjoyed my iced Cubano Latte' (recommended by the counter person - yum!). After reading some of the other reviews I wanted to put my two cents in here. Let me just say that if you have never BEEN a barista, then you may not get why some things happen as they do. Coffee bars often have the most uptight clientele. Go in with an open mind, try something new or enjoy an old favorite, sit back, relax and enjoy the tasty craftmanship in a cup! Seriously, my only complaint is that I can't get this drink elsewhere. read more

Great little gem in Breckenridge! We stopped by on a Saturday morning for breakfast and coffee. There were 5 of us and did not have to wait long for our seats or food. I ordered the magnum and was pleasantly surprised with the lightness of the wholesome bagel sandwich. My cortado was fantastic and just the pick me up I needed for the day. If I lived in the area, this is definitely a place I'd go to study or catch up with friends. If you're in the area, check it out! read more

History

Established in 2001.

The Crown was established in 2001 by its previous owner Abi Norton. It became a local favorite for many years and was well known for its quirky medieval interior and vegetarian friendly menu. In the summer of 2014 the business was sold to a young local Breckenridge couple, Sara and Brett Cox. That summer they gave the space a fresh facelift and hit the ground running learning how to run a coffee shop. Meet the Business Owner: Sara C.

Sara- A graduate of Colorado State University never intended to move to Breckenridge to own a business. She, like everyone else, was attracted by its natural beauty and multitude of outdoor activities. After meeting her now husband in 2009, the thought of owning her own coffee shop started to dominate her dreams. When The Crown came up for sell in the fall of 2012 she started to plan a roadmap so one day she could fulfill her dream. The Crown didn't sell that season and thus began a year and a half of searching and planning. When The Crown came up for sell again, this time Sara was ready. She is excited to show you her vision and cannot wait to open post renovation. You will more than often find her working at The Crown or hiking Baldy with her pups.

The Crown has a great cozy ski cabin vibe that we really enjoyed. It's the perfect place to relax and warm up, with a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent. The employees were super friendly and helpful, offering great coffee recommendations. I ended up trying the iced Crown Mocha and the iced Cubano Latte. Both were really good--not too sweet, which I appreciated. For food, we ordered the French on a Croissant and the Reliance Burrito with added bacon and cream cheese. The burrito was delicious and full of flavor, but the croissant sandwich was pretty standard--just your average ham, egg, and cheese. We also tried the Almond Cake, which was outstanding. It was moist, flavorful, and a great balance of sweetness. Whether for breakfast or a dessert, it's definitely something I'd recommend. Visited recently and found the overall appearance to be nice, but it was overshadowed by their employees. A short man who couldn't stop swearing was our first experience; and then he was followed by some British guy who dove right into the hard liquor during his work hours--we later saw him out at the bars not even able to hold himself up. I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of above-and-beyond-ness; service here thus is top-notch. She saw me off with the same warm smile as I walked away from it. As soon as I back to my car, I started my little lunchtime. And I tell you, EVERYTHING i got today was more than satisfactory. Both salads were exceptionally made (I especially liked the Chickpea one.) The Bread Pudding had a nice texture with the perfect sweetness. And it was a good portion as well. My Americano was nice and steamy. And the side half and half she gave me was more than enough. This experience was way more than I had expected in so many different ways. So in conclusion, True Blue is very much under-appreciated. Hence, by writing this review, I am spreading the love I have for this store to the entire state of Colorado. People, go here if you are in Silverthorne/Dillon/Keystone area; this is a gem!

Stop closing while your business hours say open. It is frustrating with minimum options in the mountains & people drive well out of their way to visit you.
