Appetizer- chili lime wings are the perfect combo of slightly sweet with a bit of tart. The skin is a perfect crispy. Mains- Savory burger is amazing. My hubby said the bun was amazing. I ordered it protein style & they give you a kale side salad which is yummy in a light vinaigrette. Blue cut burger- was told it was excellent. I came here for brunch with my girlfriends! The bottomless $20 mimosas is such a good deal. They're diligent about topping off your drink. The staff members were friendly and helpful. Maybe because we came early (10:15am) and the fact it's raining out, we didn't have to wait to be seated at all. Caesar Salad is 9/10. They make their dressing in house from scratch and it is delicious. Croque Madame is 7.5/10. Every bite of cheese, bread and ham dipped in egg yolk is so satisfying. i'm really sad to say this as we did enjoy the food at one point michelle and i like to go out and eat nice food. We were discriminated against and thrown out of the restaurant personally, Michelle has a mental condition is also struggling from effects of radiation and chemo from having cancer. The girl laughed at Michelle The food doesn't always come out, right and they got mad at us for it The service is horrible now It saddens me to write this They told us we could not come back because the meat came out well well done -- over cooked and we said something so They discriminated against her and me. Ok, haven't been here for 2 years now, but we liked this lace way better for lunch than for breakfast. We had the cheesy tots, the honey sriracha wings, the poutine, the sweet heat chicken sandwich and the sweet and spicy burger. It was all pretty good. Not mind blowing, but good and we definitely liked the variety. The bartender that took our order was super cool and they give you free refills when you're eating there. Very good quality hamburgers here at The Cut. My first time here, and my crew and i ordered the Spicy Nashville, which was delicious. French fries were good too. Not too expensive. Taste of the hamburgers were really spicy with the Nashville sauce. Service was good here as well. read more

So I had high hopes for this place, I will say my review is only about the breakfast burritos. The burgers on the menu looked good but I didn't have one. I got the fried chicken burrito and the California burrito. Honestly the food was bland and lacked any flavor, it's almost like they forgot to add salt, but it was both burritos that tasted like this so I think they just don't add any salt ever. They even add frozen tater tots to the burritos which is just so lazy or they are cutting cost thinking customers won't be able to taste the difference, news flash we can. The only thing that had any seasoning was the flank steak that I can tell was marinated, so good on chef for that one. The sauce was an avocado sauce with no herbs, no garlic, no salt (or maybe a little but not enough). The red sauce seemed like it was just canned adobe and tomatoes and again no balance or flavor. They don't even have a spicy salsa, like what are we even doing? I LOVE spicy foods and so do thousands of other people, like why not have an option, just sad. I even brought the burritos home and gave them to my roommate. Verbatim "oh wow I thought you were kidding, this actually has no flavor " . Anyway that's all I really have to say and this is an honest review coming from someone who wants to give genuine feedback. The restaurant was nice inside, and I love the small menu. Let's get one thing straight: I found The Cut Burger all on my own. Yes, so give me my flowers. No one recommended it to me, and I wasn't expecting much from a random burger joint in a boring plaza. But let me tell you, I was wrong. I ordered the savory burger, and holy cow, it was amazing. The patty wasn't even medium-rare (I don't think they even give you options on how you want your meat), but that didn't matter because I could taste every single flavor. I don't know what kind of magical seasoning they put on that burger, but I wanted to marry it. And don't even get me started on the rosemary garlic fries. They were crispy, they were garlicky, they were herby, and they were downright addictive. And the beer? I didn't try it because I wanted a damn Coke (or was it Pepsi?). There was a wide selection of beer for you to choose from. Unless I need a new pair of glasses, and they maybe had a couple of options.. But seriously, this place deserves a better location than a lame plaza. I'm talking Rodeo39 or the Irvine Spectrum. Or heck, take down that burger joint (I don't even remember the name) at Downtown Disney, and slap this restaurant there. Sure rent might cost more, but I guarantee you'll get a lot of Disney addicts in that restaurant in no time. The food is that good. Don't be fooled, this is not just another burger joint. All right yes they do serve the best cooked to order burgers in town with top quality ingredients and accompaniments. But take note they also have the best Nashville hot chicken sandwich of any we've ever tried! Their sides such as petite salad, loaded with fresh berries and a light vinaigrette, out of this world tater tots and mouthwatering poutine's just to name a few, always leave us wanting for more. And more it is ! They're calamari is as good as any Italian restaurant, the Reuben feels like it's straight from a New York classic Deli, and my new favorite, the rib eye cheese steak with an amazing truffle mornay sauce loaded and layered between perfectly warmed ciabatta. We also got the GRAND CUT burger ($17), which has braised pork, bacon jam, aioli, havarti & comte cheese fondue also with added egg. It was good too but we preferred the truffle brie. Alright guys, I saw the Yelp photos and I was super excited to come to The Cut. We walked inside the restaurant because there was no staff outside to greet us and let us know what we needed to do. When a staff finally approached us, he informed us to find a seat outside. When we finally found a seat he told us to scan the barcode on the table to get our menu. We asked if they had kids menu and the server told us not during COVID. We asked if we could get the wings naked he said they can do it but we still need to specify the sauce/flavor and they will put it on the side. So we picked chili lime. When it came out it was not naked. We couldn't find out server so we told another staff. She then told us that we should have told them naked. -_- After I explained what happened they redid the wings for us. Honestly, service to me just wasn't good. I felt some annoyance from the staff's end which made me feel even more frustrated. Staff didn't offer or ask if we needed any sauce. We had to ask for ranch (which they charged without warning us) and ketchup. Ordered: *The original burger + upgraded to get eggs, bacon, and avocado- presentation wise I don't think it looked that photogenic. Taste wise the burger was so salty. I couldn't finish it. I usually like ketchup with my burgers and I honestly did not need it because it was that salty. *The cheesy tot - looks great for photos and tasted good. *Bone Marrow- I love bone marrow guys and at first bite it was SUPER salty that I did not want to take another bite. *Nashville fried chicken sandwich- this tasted okay. The Cut was named OC Register's "Critic's Choice Best Food Truck" in 2015 and is a perennial contender for the "Best Burger in the OC" every year. The Cut uses all natural, certified humane, free range, hormone and antibiotic free Angus beef to make their burgers. The meat is also ground in house and perfectly seasoned. I am a fan of simplicity and a delicious, no-frills handcrafted cheeseburger. I love the use of melted American cheese, sliced dill pickles and the Cut sauce (mayo based house recipe sauce) to create the Original, $9.50. What could make it better? The Cut pride themselves in their simplicity. Perhaps a little too simple for my taste. I like my basic cheeseburger with a little more traditional toppings like shredded lettuce, tomato and onions. I need that added crunch and flavors, and it makes for a juicier burger as well. Still, a solid burger worthy of a repeat visit. This was really good!! Upon opening these, I was surprise how the burgers are not the "super massive ones with a bunch of toppings that makes it difficult to hold and falls apart" kind of burger, but a little more petite! For my preference, this was the perfect size burger so I can at least hold it haha. The burgers were really rich in flavor and the meat patty was perfectly medium rare to our liking. The truffle burger definitely has a more flavor profile than the savory burger, but the savory burger was just as good with the bacon goodness. The truffle burger was dripping butter/oil? a bit too much, but it was still delicious. The braised brisket in the poutine also just melts in your mouth and the fries were also not too soggy from anything else. Underwhelming and overpriced. I had high hopes based on other reviews and pictures, but alas reality set in quick. I will say the burger itself had an excellent flavor and was perfectly cooked to medium as ordered, but apart from that one high point I was left thoroughly unimpressed - both with the value for money and the overall presentation. I ordered the Blue Cut, added Avocado ($2, more on that in a sec) with garlic rosemary fries extra crispy. I received a sad, small burger on a soggy bun, with none of the typical accoutrements (not even lettuce, at a minimum), sat alone on a small plate. The fries were "coming later" I was told. This looked like the type of sad burger you'd get in a motel that doesn't have room service at 11P. The bacon was flaccid and the $2 avocado was the thinnest spread of paste it was hard to even call it "a spread." When I balked the server acted surprised and asked if I wanted sliced avocado instead. The $8 fries came unsalted and decidedly flaccid as well. These were not the extra crispy spuds I requested. Apart from the lack of salt and their soft nature they did taste ok, but again I'm struggling to see value for money. With tip I was OTD for $38 for lunch for one. I don't know why or how we ended up here for lunch, but I am so glad we did. I ended up here right after the normal weekday lunch rush and I am not sure what to say besides "wow!" My group of 4 all decided to try 4 different burgers with their fries and each and every single burger was so amazing. Their meat was perfectly cooked to the perfect temperature. My personal favorite so far has to be their sweet and spicy burger, especially if you add carnalized onions. The only warning I give is beware that everything you eat will be messy, but worth the clean up. The entire process of ordering at the restaurant and picking up my order was so fast - my order was already ready and waiting for me when I came back from checking out Big 5 next door for less than 10 minutes! I ordered the Savory, the Colombian, and the Sweet and Spicy. I only got to try to Savory and the Colombian. I loved the cilantro chimichurri that was paired with the Colombian. It also included roasted bananas, which is not what you would usually think about putting in a burger! I would recommend this for the more adventurous eaters! The Savory surprised me because it ended up being the burger I liked the most. I think it was the bacon relish + thousand island sauce that ultimately won me over ;) Overall I enjoyed my experience and meal to go. I first tried The Cut in 2014 or 2015 when they were just a food truck, and have been obsessed ever since. Unfortunately I don't live close to this location so I haven't been able to make it in until now. I don't know what they do to their burgers but they are SO. GOOD. The meat is unbelievably juicy and perfectly seasoned. Their topping combinations are unreal, but even their Original Burger is perfection. We really indulged with the Grand Cut, topped with a big slab of braised pork, savory bacon jam, aioli, and a gorgeous blanket of Havarti and Comte cheese fondue. It's rich and it's fantastic. We also had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich which was still good but the burger blew it out of the water. Their pickles are really good here. The menu is pretty robust and they even serve brunch. The Cut is a business that has really been modifying itself every step of the way during COVID in order to keep their business open and to serve their customers in more ways than one. At the beginning when grocery stores were crazy, they were allowing people to place grocery orders through them which included big ticket items like disinfectants and hand sanitizers. Now that we're past that stage, they are still following all rules and regulations to keep everyone safe. Found The Cut on Yelp and confirmed with a friend who lives down here that this place is Legit! I tried the Savory burger, which came with bacon Relish, Swiss Cheese, Aioli, 3,000 Island Sauce. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Juicy, flavorful, and is as big as the pictures show. I can't wait to try their other burgers next time I'm in the Irvine area. Actually, the next time I'm going to get an extra Savory burger to bring back with me! The rosemary garlic fries are also amazing. I never thought adding rosemary would make such a big difference. The food was incredible! Service was amazing and our server was wonderful. The executive chef came out to hand food to people and also helped clean tables which was awesome to see. The team there works well together and cares. The inside is awesome, and has a large patio door that opens up so if you sit by it in the evening bring a jacket, worth it. My date and I were hungry and decided to look for a local spot on the way home from our fourth of July getaway. I found The Cut on Yelp with great reviews and we both agreed to try it out. They have an outside patio and an indoor dining. They have a bar and TV for your sport fans reading this. We were greeted upon entry, there was no wait at all so we were seated right away on a Wednesday afternoon. The servers are very friendly and kind. They asked us for our orders and my date and I originally wanted to try The Beast, but that was available. I believe it was due to the fact that brunch was over. So, we ended up with the Savory Burger and got a shareable Bacon Jalapeno Mac & Cheese, two Ginger Ale, & waters. Since we only ordered one burger, they offered to cut it for us. I was happy knowing how attentive she was and ask. The food came out not long after and it looks delicious. My date and I took some photos and videos and took our first bite into the burger. Mmm... The first thing I noticed is how juicy the patty was and slowly I can taste the bacon crunchy between my teeth as I chewed. I can taste the melted Swiss cheese, aioli sauce, 3,000 island sauce, & the relish flavor just just right. Everything on the Aavory burger complement each other so we'll. Next we tried the Bacon Jalapeno Mac and cheese. It was sure cheesy and you can do a cheese pull and the cheese will stretch. I only wish the jalapeno was a bit spicy.
