The baked potato was fine nothing wrong but nothing great. My wife got the crusted Salmon. Cooked well and the crust was great just lacking a main flavor. She got a cocktail that she said was great. Maybe we just got the wrong things. This place was nice and easy to get a reservation on a weekend. They reserved our table for us and accommodated our small child. Met a friend for an early dinner around 4:30 and we were seated right away. Loved that we could order from the happy hour menu without sitting at the bar. I had the "Gotta Keep Ya Gin Up" cocktail -- super refreshing and would definitely get it again. We shared the calamari, which was good but slightly over-fried. The shishito peppers and sauces were a nice bonus. For entrees, we had the banh mi steak sandwich and the chopped wedge with skirt steak -- both were solid. Ended with the donut dessert. We went here for the first time yesterday to celebrate my husband's birthday. Cute place. Super modern. Good size but not huge by any means. It was very clean and welcoming. We had a very attentive and kind server named Victor. He took great care of me and my family. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great suggestions. We ordered the fried mozzarella, bone marrow and bread and butter for appetizers. The fried mozzarella and the bone marrow were exceptional. However I was very disappointed with the bread and butter. On the menu it states that it is focaccia. It's definitely NOT focaccia and it had a very sweet flavor to it. It only came with 2 little "triangles" of bread and at a price tag of $14 I was pretty disappointed. For dinner we ordered the crispy pork belly with mushroom risotto, the steak frites, the brussel sprouts, beet salad, the French dip with tater tots and the truffle Mac and cheese. The main entrees were PHENOMENAL, especially the steaks. The chef cooking the meats knows what he's doing. He cooked both my husbands steak a perfect medium rare and my daughters steak to a perfected blue rare. This chef cooked these steaks better than most steaks I've had at other fine dining restaurants such as Mastro's, Capital Grill and Ocean 48 to name a few. Clearly, I was very impressed! All of the food in general was excellent and we were very pleasantly surprised during our first visit here. For dessert, Victor brought my husband a small birthday butter cake with ice cream to celebrate and we also ordered a chocolate cake. Holy moly the chocolate cake was good. The accompanying hazelnut gelato with the cake, not so much. It had very little flavor and basically tasted like frozen ice milk. The chocolate cake had this delicious chocolate mousse on top that is chefs kiss. The butter cake was not very good but restaurants in general, in my opinion, have big shoes to fill when they offer butter cakes. I have yet to find a restaurant that comes close to the butter cake at Mastro's. I hadn't found any restaurant yet to beat it. All in all, we had a great experience at The Cut. I ordered the Island Salmon, Crystal Paloma and the ube créme brulee for dessert. The salmon dish was really good, but not great. The salmon was cooked well, however, it had little to no salt. There was a sweet glaze on it that created a nice crust and had a good flavor. The pasta and bure blanc sauce where also very good and those were seasoned nicely. The food overall was a 8/10 due to the lack of seasoning on the salmon. The Crystal Paloma was really good and had a nice spice to it. Drink, 9/10 just because the presentation was boring. The ube créme brulee was pretty good as well, but nothing special. He claimed it was chef recommended. It came with a matcha cookie that I did not like at all. It crumbled just by looking at it and had the texture of wet sand, not a fan of that at all. Dessert 5/10. The ambiance was mid, very bright and sterile feeling, definitely not a spot for a cozy diner if that's what you're looking for. Overall ambiance score is 3/10. The main reason for the 3/5 stars is due to the service. Upon coming in, I asked for a spot at the bar so I could watch the game. I was given both the drink menu and the food menu. The waiter came over and got my drink order, but never asked if I wanted anything to eat, and left right away after getting my drink order. I had to call him back over to take down my food order. There were 3 other people sitting at the bar as well, and I noticed that they all had water, but I was never given any. After receiving my food, I was never checked up on until I was completely done with my meal. I guess he realized what terrible service he was giving me, because all of a sudden he's asking if I want anything else and recommending different drinks and desserts and even talking about the game with me. The cut has a really simplistic yet divine menu. You can tell everything was hand chosen with precision and they really strive for good flavors here. I enjoy the presentation and the simple restaurant at Victoria Gardens. The first time I came was on a busy Friday night and I had made reservations in advance . The restaurant itself has a seating area and a really nice bar area as well. I really really enjoy the burgers here on the regular and the quality is good however, when I ordered the happy hour burger, I was disappointed because it did not taste like the burgers on the regular menu because it was dry and lacked flavor. They do not include any LTO on their happy hour burger either and zero sauce. If you ask for any extra sauce of anything, there is a up charge. Also to note the happy hour prices are not very good on drinks or food either. I love that they use beef tallow for their sides when they fry them because they come out really light and crispy, especially the tater tot, which are just fabulous. The Caesar salad was also really fresh and huge. The thing I enjoyed the most was the chimichurri poutine fries just because they are so unique and tasty if you love that chimichurri flavor with crispy fries. I've seen many of their TikTok videos. Definitely sparked my interest. Came here for lunch and tried the Brie and truffle burger. Took my first bite and right away you can taste the high quality of their beef. Cooked to a perfect med rare. I like certain items on this menu A LOT-- as in I think I'm literally coming back to eat here because of them. The burrata in all of its seasonal iterations especially has such a chokehold on me. The new whipped one is even better than the fried burrata it replaced. The sweet candied walnuts and the crispy fried arugula are SO GOOD!!!! I also really enjoyed the new Spanish octopus dish. Would definitely be back for that one too. The calamari is pretty good. I like the light breading but it came out a tad oily. The marinara is really light and kind of watery, which sounds like a bad thing but it's not! I actually really enjoyed it because I find normal marinara to be overwhelming. The poutine is... Interesting? First off, they're clearly dirty fries, not poutine. The fries were floppy, and the cilantro sauce was not to my taste. The desserts are diabolical. I get something sweet here every time and I always regret it. The seasonal apple rhubarb cobbler was bigger than I thought it'd be for the price, but with how sickeningly sweet and underbaked it was, I ended up wishing it was smaller. The restaurant looks classy, but it's weirdly cramped. They need to remove some tables. If you sit at the seats along the wall you're basically shoulder to shoulder with strangers, and as I was leaving there wasn't a path out of the restaurant that didn't have me bumping into people's chairs. Went to The Cut for my birthday lunch with my sisters. I was very impressed. We had mocktails, poutine fries, and flatbreads. The conversation was good and the food looked so tasty, I almost forgot to take photos. It was the weekend so they only had the brunch menu. I was a little disappointed because I checked the menu ahead of time, and had my order made up, but the food did not disappoint. I had the steak flatbread it was delicious and enough to take home. Our server Christine was excellent, she was very attentive and observant. She kept the water flowing, and saw that I liked ice and brought me a whole cup. She was friendly and welcoming. There were no other staff members behind us at the time, which is why it felt clearly directed at us. From our perspective, it was not a misunderstanding of where the gesture was intended. What was most disappointing, however, was not the initial interaction, but your response. Rather than taking ownership of how it came across, the explanation shifted focus to intent. While intent matters internally, impact is what guests experience. A simple acknowledgment that the interaction was mishandled would have gone much further. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability in the response reinforces our decision not to return. Hospitality begins the moment a guest walks in, and how concerns are handled afterward is just as important as the food itself. Good luck moving forward. read more

But I didn't come here expecting a budget meal or just a basic sandwich. Now, onto the food itself--The calamari? Easily the standout. Perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, and just the right texture. The sauce they paired it with was nice and tangy. I'd come back for that alone. The shrimp and grits and bone marrow toast were good too. I wasn't a big fan of the chorizo with the grits and the bone marrow was mouthwatering for the first bite but the grease-feel eventually overwhelms. To drink, our server automatically provided us with a glass of water (i do appreciate that gesture at restaurants) and i ordered the Monkey Business. It was the perfect balance of sweetness and sour. The on tap beers did seem a bit overpriced, but my group said it was refreshing. Lastly, had to get some dessert. That sticky date pudding was yummmmyyy. But after several bites the sweetness was too much, even for me. I'd recommend sharing it between 3 people. When checking the bathroom, it was relatively clean. Seat covers were out of stock and the toilet paper was low so maybe more frequent checks needed? Next time I visit, and i will be back, I'd explore more of the menu to see what else they have to offer. Overall, would I return? Yes. But I'd switch things up--except for that calamari. Table ordered two 35 DAY DRY AGED RIBEYE $45 * Beef Demi Glaze, Loaded Baked Potato. The ribeyes were 1 star dishes drenched in sauce that eliminated the fact they were "Dry Aged" as well very thin. It was something I feel like we'd order from NORMS or TGIF. Worst dish of the evening. And the baked potato was basic hard to mess that up. The table also order the filet mignon and that cut of beef was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The side to that dish Mashed Potatoes, were extremely salty and not even edible at the table (disappointed) 3rd main dish was CHILEAN SEA BASS, which was also very good dish and cooked and seasoned well. The 4th Dish was TONNARELLI BOLOGNESE, another dish that was liked at the table. We've had some superb dishes at this restaurant in the past, the ribeyes and the sides just completely missed the mark. As well we had a French trained chef from Los Angels, kitchen manger and prior Gm in the restaurant industry with us on this night, who's been in the hospitality industry for 25+ years opening restaurants, running them all over LA. Been coming here ever since Instagram lured me in with The Cut burger (curse you, Instagram). Our first visit was the week after Father's Day, and luckily they still had the Father's Day special on the menu. The whipped burrata is absolutely worth it--my oldest loves it so much he'd happily come eat here alone just for that dish. The Cut burger itself is a must-try. It cannot be modified (you've been warned), but trust me--it doesn't need it. Perfectly cooked to your liking and packed with flavor. My son is loyal to the OG burger, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their burgers. The diver scallops are another favorite of ours, and if you've got room, do yourself a favor and order the sticky date pudding--it's the kind of dessert you'll think about later and wish you had ordered two of. Service has always been on point, the space is clean, and I love how bright and airy it feels with those sliding windows. This spot has become our go-to whenever we're in Rancho Cucamonga. read more

Although the plate was good I did feel it missed a little something, however it was a good dish. The Banh Mi with fries was delicious. I would highly recommend if you're a fan of Banh Mi sandwiches. The food is amazing! We ordered the chilaquiles and they were to die for. Currently these are the best I've had in a restaurant in years. The peach pancakes were also phenomenal. The sweetness is perfectly balanced and the texture of the pancakes is nice a fluffy. It's so hard to find a restaurant that makes good pancakes. The breakfast potatoes are hands down the best thing ever. Completely shareable when ordered as a side. It is the lightest most delicious potato I've ever had. And as with all the dishes a symphony of flavor and texture. The lemonades were also amazing. The blueberry lavender lemonade was a special treat! It was beautiful and sparkly! It looked like a potion. Both were balanced in tartness and sweetness. For desert we got the sticky toffee pudding and it was decadent and absolutely delicious. The caramel flavor stayed with you and honestly it was such a pleasant flavor and while heavy looking it was incredibly light. The restaurant itself is clean and aesthetic. The staff are all amazing.
