Wanted to try something new, so I came here for lunch. I really liked how the menu had such a big variety! For a minute, it was actually hard to choose what to get since everything sounded good haha. I eventually went with the Pastrami Dip, and omg!! I loved how warm and savory it was! The mustard, pickles, and pastrami were such a great combo. I also appreciated that the sub wasn't so thick that everything starts falling apart when you bite into it, but rather with each bite, my sandwich stayed perfectly intact! Even though the restaurant was a bit busy during lunchtime, my order was prepared super fast and ready to enjoy

The Deli is the spot to go to if you're craving sandwiches. From their appetizers to their sandwiches, it is all delicious. A favorite sandwich to get is the smoke turkey and avocado on squaw bread. The Rueben is also a really good sandwich. This place gives that classic deli vibe with great service and I'm glad that there's a place like this still around. The Deli for sure is a spot that I'll visit often.

We have been wanting to try this spot and so glad we did. So many choices to choose from. We shared an Italian sandwich and chicken Cobb salad. Sooo glad we did because the portions are huge. The Italian sandwich was full of meat and cheese and the bread was soft and delicious. The Cobb salad had bleu cheese, bacon, egg, avocado tomato. Service was fast and there were plenty of seating inside and outside. We will definitely be coming back to try other foods.

Overall I like this place but the only reason I was there was to try the pastrami dip. Unfortunately they didn't give me any dip for some reason. I didn't realize they were supposed to until we were ready to leave. The people are nice but the limited service is a little too too casual.

I ordered their famous smoked turkey & avocado sandwich. The texture and ingredients compliment each other perfectly. The bread is soft and pillowy that allows you to taste each layer of ingredients and the onion rings add in the right soft crunch at the end. Their fries are reminiscent to mojo potatoes fries of how it is battered.

Absolutely loved it ! We tried the patty melt, onion rings, and the Italian sandwich everything was extremely delicious . The standout for me was definitely the onion rings perfectly crispy, flavorful, and easily the best I've had in a long time I loved how they were easy to eat without having the entire onion fall out in one bite. The ambiance was great too clean and comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of shade so even on hot days you could still enjoy your meal outside ! The service was just as impressive, all the ladies who helped us were super friendly and made the experience even better. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good sandwich in Rancho!

Fantastic local sandwich spot! We tried the smoked turkey avocado, and added cheese on squaw bread along with the Reuben, and both were absolutely delicious. I've been coming here since I was a kid this place has always been a 10/10 , today me and my gf decided we wanted a cold cut well what better place then the Deli , the ladies today were very nice and attentive the service was a 10/10 food was a 10/10 if your ever in the area you gotta try it !

This place has a lot more traffic and business than expected, but it was never too busy, there was always a place to sit. The outdoors was really enjoyable as they have a patio to sit on. staff was pretty polite. The wait time was not long and the sandwich was actually good. I would give the sandwich 4.5 stars if possible. It wasn't life-changing, but I think only because the Italian dressing put on the sandwich seems to be from a bottle. I would really love to see them do an oil and vinegar with mayo amd mustard ase, and maybe some dried herb sprinkled in and douse it down, but I guess there are people who do like a dryer sub. but it was good. I would definitely be back to try some of the other subs. The meats on the sandwich were pretty good and it was definitely a filling sub of good proportion.

Service was terrible called at least three times both instances the phone call was dropped. The third time I was told to place on hold waited exactly 10 minutes. Made it to the restaurant at this time it's pointless to remain on hold. Both cashiers were awful.

Yesterday, my love decided to surprise me with my favorite Italian sub. When he dropped it off, I started eating and found a plastic tube thing inside my sub. We always come here to buy our subs and I'm very disappointed that this happened to me. I'm just surprised that they didn't give my love his money back. They made another sub, but with a little macaroni and a little potato salad. And my love was very upset because I'm pregnant.

Best. Freaking. Sandwich. Ever. I got a cold turkey and avocado sandwich and it was amazing. They added onion rings to it which at first didn't sound particularly appetizing to me but boy was I wrong. The onion rings were the cherry on top. Bought 5 sandwiches-52 bucks Spicey monterey 2 reubens 2 deli club Supposed to come with bacon ...guess what NO BACON I asked can I get grilled onions on my sandwichS and she was like we already made your sandwiches and I was like well can I get the onions on the side?????? I GT A LITTLE BIT OF SKIMPY ONIONS ON DA SIDE??? I called and told em Thr was no BACON SHE WAS LIKE U CAN BRING THEM BCK AND WE CAN PUT THE BACON IN IT???? Really?????? Best sandwiches I've ever had!!!! My wife and I come all the way from LA just to have their sandwiches. The Deli in Rancho Cucamonga on Foothill & Archibald is a great place that serves super awesome food that's not only quick service but freshly made to however you want. They have the best sandwiches on the most amazing freshest breads. The Deli is a wonderful place that's been in Rancho Cucamonga for decades! The place is always clean the staff is always friendly and it's great if you have kids bcuz they have a train that goes around inside above eye level up top by the ceilings. the deli is such a great local spot here in the rancho cucamonga area! my boyfriend and i have talked about stopping by here all the time since we are always passing by it when in rancho. the prices of the sandwiches are definitely on the pricey side, but all worth it for the freshness and amount you're getting. i ate half of my sandwich and felt like i ate the entire thing. i was happy to know that i was going to have the other half for dinner . if you're looking for a sandwich that is more better from common sandwich chains or grocery store delis, the deli in rancho cucamonga is your best bet. read more

Went to the Deli. AGAIN got home and the order was wrong. Went back and they offered to fix the one sandwich that was wrong but to just put the other sandwich in the toaster oven when we get home (again) to "reheat" it?? Thanks for that, Deli...Honestly, check your food including opening the sandwiches before you leave as the employees do not. The food is good but you never know what you will get read more

This is one of the best sandwich shops around. The best testimony I can give is by recommending their egg salad sandwich. I not a fan of egg salad but there's is delicious. They may price higher than the chains but it's worth it ti support local business and get a better quality sandwich. Check them out. read more

Just left a few minutes ago. I ordered the Combo Grinder with ham and Swiss cheese and it was so delicious. Bread was soft and yummy with plenty of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and red onion. I had potato salad as well and it was good. Super delicious meal. read more

I've lived by the Deli for 19 years and boy have things changed. I ordered the club on a sub roll with no mustard and no onions. As you can see there are a few slivers of turkey, one brown slice of avocado no cheese, there was a pickle on the other half and where is the lettuce? Obviously they forgot I said no mustard since there are yellow splits on the meat. I always thought they were much better than subway and more generous. However, if you want a sandwich not just the bread, the Deli is no longer the place to go. Very disappointed! And that's what you get for almost $12. read more

Hubby and I stopped in after the theater. Had Pastrami Sandwich. It was delicious! I have always been a fan of The Grinder Haven. They have been closed for years. The Deli is the first place that comes closest to their Pastrami Sandwiches! The people who work here are awesome! They even threw in a free order of fries! read more

This was a nightmare!!! Trying to consume the whole sandwich in one sitting. The quality of the ingredients was fresh. Everything tasted delicious. The soft roll was like a nice pillow in my mouth. The amount of meat in my turkey and avocado sandwich was deliciously excessive. The price of the sandwich led me to believe that it was going to be a regular sandwich. However, when getting the sandwich the size and weight did intimidate me. I didn't think it was gonna be as delicious as it was. The fried onion rings in a sandwich are a nice twist an add an extra level of a flavor. Do I recommend any of you going ? No! Because you'll make the lines longer for me. I will go back and try some other sandwiches and I'll let you guys know. You can live vicariously through me. read more

I have driven by this place for years but never tried it. I had a craving for an old style BBQ beef sandwich and they had one on the menu, so I decided to try it, and it was fantastic. perfectly made, and enormous. the young lady who took my order was very helpful and just as nice and friendly as could be. I will definitely be going back, perhaps a tuna melt next time. this place is a real gem! read more

Been here a couple times before and have never ever been impressed had a discussion with my boyfriend earlier and he thought he could change my mind... I was craving an Italian sandwich and asked him to go to somewhere like guidos deli Unfortunately all of the authentic delis are closed on Sunday He thought he would be sneaky and go to the deli and get me a sandwich I ate it and literally the most disgusting thing ever it was so soggy it was dripping through the bag. I couldn't even hold the sandwich together because the saturation of dressing had ruined the bread Instead of secretly changing my mind like he thought he would he actually solidified in my opinion that this place is not good if you're looking for an Italian sandwich Maybe if you want a plain old turkey sandwich With Mayo ??? The deli location near me actually has three stars on yelp I think that is a more accurate depiction of the quality of food that they provide lol read more

Terrible after covid. Use to be my fav spot. Got a turkey and cheese kids meal. Literally $9 for a slice of turkey a slice of cheese on white normal bread with NO VEGGIES NO MAYO NO MUSTARD NO PICKLES. I asked for extra pickles I got 2 LITERALLY and I never got any anyways so it wasn't "extra." Cobb salad is so sad looking, so much smaller and the toast is burnt. Im currently unemployed and I just threw everything away including my money. Didn't even touch the food. My 4yr old asked to go to subway so now we are headed to subway for some cheaper REAL sandwiches. PS. Bunch of attitude teenagers working makes it feel uncomfortable to ask for anything else. Man I'm so sad!:( And all the tables are dirty or missing chairs. This place sucks now read more

I have been going to THE DELI now for about 15 years with my family. The atmosphere here is Simple & extremely Family friendly. It doesn't matter if your looking for a quick Lunch or a Beautiful dining experience. Turkey Avocado on Wheat bread is a Family Favorite. You cannot go wrong! Trust me on this. I repeat it's a 10 out of 10 every-time. You don't really get Deli food spots in Southern California like the East coast. But this place brings that Feeling. Simple and Hits the spot. read more

This is a Cucamonga land mark! It's always been a favorite sandwich spot. Their turkey avocado is a classic and the curly fries are always perfect. My son loved his burger and watching the toy train make the rounds. Also the unlimited pickles are amazing! If you're in the area give them a visit! read more

This was by far the worst sandwich. I paid almost 15.00 dollars and there was no meat in it. I can't even believe this. Last week I had the same problem but thought maybe I was tripping because I was on the second 1/2. But today. Ooo man how awful. I would never in my life spend my money here. I'm so angry because I really wanted this pastrami sandwich. This place use to be very good but not anymore. Now I have to go spend more money somewhere else. read more

Sandwiches we're good. We got the Turkey Avocado, chicken breast, and a Hot Smoked Cajun. The fried zucchini is also legit. If it was earlier in the day when the French rolls were newer the turkey and Hot Smoked would probably be great. They have those domestic beers that pair well with a sando jacked with beautifully thin sliced Turkey and 3 onion rings. The Hot Smoked spoke to my heart, "lots of mayo" is in the description. Yes please. I would write more but I am about to be catatonic. This place is good and I will be back when I wake up. read more

First time eating here my Dad would always ask me if I tried there sandwiches he said he seen someone doing a interview on TV with the owner about how great the food is so finally after many years I stopped by yesterday to try it out and OMG the sandwich I got was amazing the turkey Avocado it just melts in your mouth the taste was amazing the bread was so soft and to top it off the onion ring they put in it was so very tasty the customer service was awesome I will definitely be going back soon and I will recommend The Deli to all my family and friends thank you Dad RIP for letting me know about The Deli read more

Decided to give this place a try yesterday. I ordered though the yelp app. It notified me that my order would be ready in half an hour. I was kind of surprised on how long of a wait it would be. I arrived within 10 minutes and decided to sit in the lobby and wait the time but then I just decided to ask an employee if they received my order and my order was ready to go. QUICK TIP! Don't wait those 30 minutes lol ASK the moment you arrive! I ordered the steak sandwich and Monterey spicy sandwich. $13 each, almost $30 with taxes for just these two sandwiches, no drink. Best believe I expected to be VERY SATISFIED for my purchase. Yes the sandwiches were very long for the price but I actually expected them to me meatier. The difference between these two sandwiches were that the steak had lettuce and the spicy Monterrey didn't. The spicy Monterrey had a different cheese and sauce but nothing really special about it. i got more full with the amount of bread it is in than the actual protein. read more

I have gone here for many many years and this was my last visit. $29 for two sandwiches and a drink. We got home to find the loaded beef dip is apparently a thing of the past. Way more bread than meat. Not worth the money and not the sandwiches we were expecting. Sad read more

With Diane in tow, we were pleased that a large parking lot was directly across the street from the restaurant. A bed of Rice Pilaf served as a soft base for the fish for me, and Diane had Yukon Mashed Potatoes fulfill the same purpose for her chosen main. Specially requested French Fries were also gladly prepared by the chef. The skin-on variety, they were soft on the inside and okay overall. Throughout the course of the meal we received excellent multi-person service, led by our principal server, Marie. We expect to return for more of that wonderful Sea Bass. I absolutely love this place. The Deli has some absolutely amazing sandwiches. The only real negative to this place is it's staff. I'm not one to let anyone get under my skin generally. I mean... I understand that most customers are most likely quite far from pleasant to deal with. For some reason however, the girls behind the counter at this establishment are just down right rude. I absolutely love the food, but the wait combined with the abrasive staff, are just about enough to keep me from returning on a regular basis. We have been going to the Deli for the past 15 years. We have remained loyal to the Steak and Jack Cheese Sandwich. Whether we were living in Detroit, Boston, Seattle, Kansas City...we always had the Steak and Jack from the Deli on our mind. Any chance we get, it is our go to food joint when we are in town because we are pretty certain this sandwich is so good it cures any ailment you may have. I really like the Deli as it has great sandwiches and salads at a reasonable price. Initially you may think they're a little pricey, but with the size and quality, I think they are a bargain. Way better than Subway. The salads can easily feed two people and the subs can be split also unless you're a big eater. The bread is great and the meats are tasty. I keep their phone number in my phone and call on my way over there. They usually have it ready in 10 minutes and I just pick it up at the outside window located on the west side of the building. read more

My taste buds committed suicide shortly after having to endure 1.5 bites of roast beef sandwich from 'The Deli'.
