Dim sum in oc to me sucks. But the better option is the dim sum compan that is located on the side of the supermarket . For quick take out it's pretty good. Especially if you go earlier in the morning while it's more fresh. Decent prices. Lines move pretty fast. They do charge 50 cents for sate fyi

When I think about Dim Sum, The Dim Sum co, is always the first one that comes to mind! Attached to a grocery store, you can order dim sum outside of the building and there are so many options to choose from. I ordered the Chicken & Chive Dumplings and the Fried Crescent Dumplings. The dumplings are packed and you can really taste the flavor. I really enjoy how the fried crescent is not overly fried because you can taste the richness of the meat while enjoying the chewiness of the dumpling.

Still celebrating Lunar New Year the best way I know how- with dim sum and all the good fortune vibes. The Dim Sum Co is a true hidden gem that is perfect for getting some delicious treats for Lunar New Year. Located inside the My Thuan supermarket in Westminster, this spot offers a fast casual experience with their take out dim sum. There's actually no sit down dining and one has to place their order outside at the side of the market. Their dim sum menu consists a lot of the classic dim sum dishes. For my visit here I chose to get their Phoenix Claws (Chân gà) ($4.79), Egg Tarts (Bánh trứng nướng) ($4.79), Lotus Sticky Rice (Xôi lá sen) ($5.39) and Egg Rolls (Chả giò) ($2.99). Everything was fresh and flavorful. My favorites were the Egg Tarts and the Egg Rolls. One can't go wrong with crispy Vietnamese egg rolls. The Dim Sum definitely knows how to make a good egg roll. The Egg Tarts had perfectly flaky crust and a creamy, sweet center. This spot made for a great food stop in Westminster. I love how easy and quick it was to get some authentic and tasty dim sum! I would definitely stop by this place again when I'm in the area.

This is my favorite takeout dim sum place! I usually order online and it's always ready by the time they say it'd be ready. The location is on the side of an Asian grocery store and it's take-out only so no seating. The shrimp and pork siu mai is so freaking juicy and good. It has just enough mushroom that the flavor is there, and the ratio of shrimp to pork is perfect! I just came back a few days ago just to get a bunch of the siu mai alone. The crispy pork belly was also really delicious! It was quite a generous portion for the price and came with rice, pickled veggies, and a soup. I could skip out on the fried shrimp balls. They were okay but nothing special about them. There's a lot more things I want to try on their menu, but I'd give this place 5 stars even if they only served their siu mai!! I love it!!

It's a no frills window on the side of My Thuan market, plan for takeaway and eat in your car or at home. I just wanted a snack so I got an order(4 pieces) of shu mai. They were hot, fresh and very tasty. They do not skimp on the pork and shrimp, and were very filling! I'll be back to try the other items.

This is how they pack your dim sum here. Its to go only. I went on 5/31 so im not sure if its because its a weekend but damn.

This is a great place to get affordable dim sum to go. I ordered 4 dishes for under $25 where at other places it would be well over that amount. The medium fried rice is only $4.99 and they give you a generous amount, filling it to the top of the box. The taro puff is a little bland compared to other places- or just had a tiny amount of pork inside. It could be improved with more ingredients like cilantro or mushrooms. The turnip cake is also so-so but it is really good after being in the air-fryer and a dash of soy sauce and chilli oil. My favourite thing to get is the century egg and pork congee. They give a generous amount and I like that it is topped off with ginger. The only downside would be the parking during lunch hours. It's best to arrive before noon. There can also be quite a long line of people waiting for food after they've ordered. So it's always a good idea to order online ahead of time!

We love Dim Sum Co! It's our go-to spot whenever we're craving dim sum without the long wait. It's located on the side of My Thuan Supermarket, but they have an outdoor order and pickup area so you don't actually have to go inside the market. There's a single line to order then you just wait for your number to be called. There's no seating, so it's takeout only. You can also order online for pick up! Prices are fair, and the menu offers a great variety! We like to stick to our "usual" dim sum favorites, and it's so good every time. :)

So this was by far the worse Vietnamese experience I've had and I'm Vietnamese. The worse customer service ever especially to the girl who was handing out food today at 11. Berating customers, acting with extreme attitude. Non existent customer service and A blatant disrespect is insane. it frankly hurts to see older Asian women get berated and completely disrespected when all they need it to pick up their order. They are not sure where the order number is on their phone screen and instead of help you completely disregard them - I saw this happen and my own mom came home and expressed how this disregard and impact on OUR own community is what makes people scared to use new ordering techniques or go out and support Vietnamese businesses. Shame on them - never again. JUST TRIED the food and had to come back - omg. Dry banh Bao like it was reheated the shiu mai used to have juicy shrimp and little toppings now it is dry. The rice rolls were all congealed together. tau Hu Ky is completely horrible.

Salted egg buns with no eyeballs

Came here solely for the salted egg bun so this review is only for that. Located on the side of a grocery store, you'll order and pay at a little table setup at the door and wait outside. Got my egg bun after 15ish minutes, was super excited to dig into the cute little buns. I opened the box and NO EYES!!! Admittedly super disappointed but the buns were delicious. Would've definitely been 5 stars with eyes.

Only received 2/3 order of xiu mai. More flour than shrimp in the shrimp ball too. So sad

Kevin, Tuân, and Trieu answered all our questions clearly and helped us achieve our dream wedding. I am Vietnamese, and my husband is not, so they made accommodations to find menu items that would serve a multicultural guest list. The prices were very fair and transparent, and the 9 course menu was delicious. White Palace also decorated the restaurant for us and provided meaningful special touches like a champagne tower, special effects for the first dance, and a decorated sweetheart table. The restaurant and their staff made us feel valued and made our wedding shine. While doing wedding research, other venues had hidden charges while White Palace was all inclusive and reasonable. My only suggestion is that they should slice thinner cake slices. They sliced large slices so some of my guests did not receive cake while the guests who got cake didn't finish theirs. I would gladly recommend White Palace to anyone who is planning a wedding.

In December 2023 my sister who lives in HB harbor claimed this resto was too far for her but finally decided to have a big Christmas Birthday party and invited 30, 40 people, the manager was not there and my usual server was not there either so I asked and was shocked at the news although I expected it, the new owner told me he had closed on the purchase that day and would change the name to White palace but he would keep the chef and the manager David but that was not the case. To me the best Chinese restaurants were Furiwa and Seafood Paradise. It was sad they failed to understand that w today economy dominated by social medias and if they do not follow the trend, they would be out of business, I told David the manager but he was so confused about what I was talking about. Bad restaurants that spent money on social medias thrived beyond comprehension. My sister ordered the usual wedding menu, 10 courses w lobster, steamed fish, etc..I knew immediately it was a new chef, the lobster was flavorless, almost every course was bland but many people I know have hay fever and with severe sneezing sometimes they lose their sense of taste on top of being born w less taste buds, it can be a curse to have too many taste buds as I was skinny all my life from not being able to enjoy eating till I started cruising when in the old days, cruise ship chefs were of Michelin caliber. My sister threw another big bash on Chinese/VN new year 2-10-2024, again 10 courses dinner and again everything was bland, there was not even enough salt in the food. I made no comment when asked bc everybody seemed to like it so who was I to say anything and I wanted to support the new owner, the service was great so that was a plus. I came by many times for dim sum and was disappointed the menu was limited, my favorite items were no longer offered. On 1-18-2026 my cousin had a big party, she is the Cai Luong singer and impresario, if my count was correct there were 20 tables, 200 attendants and many performers. Unfortunately for $60 to $75 pp, they could only offered 5 courses as they had to pay the performers. Needless to say, I could only eat the walnut shrimp and fried fish, the fried rice was not at all edible, what were they thinking? no salt, very little egg, I sure did not get fat!. I think 3 stars are generous as I was frustrated w the meal, I had no idea what the lead singer was singing/screaming about so loud in Saigonese! Lol! The dude was a VN version of Liberace!. I was there to keep up w long lost relatives, I sadly found out one had just died and I was not able to find out what happened bc the sound system was not functioning properly, it was blasting so loud, I was almost deaf in both ears! It was impossible to know what all the performers were saying. The manager if you read this please fix it, I have no idea how any wedding can take place w zero sound system unless it just went kaput on that one day. I'll tell my cousin to check on this before booking here again. I can't believe they also bought another restaurant on Edinger, Santa Ana, maybe it's just me but I don't like the all white chairs and table, I worked all my life in hospital and I'm not a fan of all white furniture, The old Seafood paradise had beautiful romantic looking pink flowers, table cloth and beautiful comfortable chairs. I'm glad they seem to be doing great, good for them, I'm not going back here but I plan to go to their 2nd resto. Unfortunately HB and Little Saigon do not have very good Chinese restaurants, I miss Hong Kong and all the 5 stars hotel ayce buffets in, I'm looking forward to my VN trip w all the good food unfortunately Yelp has no presence in VN. My camera always eats first, I have about 10,000 pictures of food in my IPhone from all my cruises and trips around the world, I enjoy looking and relive all my culinary experience. Pl come back for my future review of the White palace #2.

There wasn't anyone eating there when we went on a weekday morning so service was super quick! It's a huge space though so I'm sure it gets more rowdy on the weekends. The only one that disappointed us were the soup dumplings, which fell apart because they stuck to the bottom. Also there just wasn't very much soup in them to begin with. Both of our favs were the baby ribs, which were so soft and flavorful. The fried shrimp balls were also good and were made to order so they were super crispy and fresh! I really liked the chili oil here because it actually had a kick. For dessert, we ended off with their egg tarts that were crispy, sweet, and delicious!! But their food is still great most of the time. I now just get to go and eat at home or eat somewhere else so I don't have to deal with their service. I like the new update and the modern look of the restaurant but I feel that it's taking away. It's warmth. It feels a little more clinic-y if that makes sense. I'll probably update again if anything changes or if a family member is dying to go here. I just get really upset thinking about how I have two aunts in my last example that we've gone ands server. Who's been there for ages treats you different based on I guess your tipping and to me that's a put off. He is also very crass, and his jokes are kind of gross. The owner does try and go around. But the last time I've gone, she kinda just sat there. My last experience while in the restaurant was that there were maybe four or five tables of people about 2 to 4 in each table. And this was after dim sum time so there are no carts going around. And even though their staff was pretty full service was so slow. The food was kind of extra greasy and it gave a lot of us. Bad stomach aches. I still debate how bad I want dim sum when I have to go here. But at least their dim sum is still great! I really hope that the place does turn around because when I drive by I see how empty it's gotten and it makes me sad that my favorite place is not doing as well. Cross fingers!
